@@PringlesOriginal445 every artist is special in his own way, even though idk whats your style, i don't think that ur a bad artist i feel like you're an amazing artist but if you don't try to appreciate your own art, nobody will try to draw using a reference, an object or a person, etc eheh keep with the good work, i believe in u. also, sorry for my english, its not my native language ♥
1. Draw 2. Draw more 3. Draw even more 4. Draw so much 5. Draw and test 6. Draw and realize wow I got kinda good 7. Draw until you feel content 8. Draw and see how much you improved 9. Draw and see your sketchbook is almost done 10. Finish the sketchbook and see wow that’s pretty cool I improved
How I fill my notebook: "I am going to buy a sketchbook so I could improve on my drawing" 'Three pages later' "I AM GOING TO START A NEW MORE IMPROVED SKETCHBOOK"
Isn’t there a certain thing that some artists have where they can see the music and draw it or whatever? I can’t remember what it’s called, but it’s really cool. If anyone has an explanation please comment on this to explain to me 😝👍 Thanks! 😀👋
@@Bookaddicty When I first saw your comment, I legit thought you were just talking about just simply artistic expression, but then I literally looked up exactly what you said. Then I discovered this whole new thing that's incredibly interesting, but I'm not sure if it's a very good thing. But this artist is making something positive out of it, and that's a good thing. is it just me or do other people deal with this? i think i only doodle on things im not supposed to doodle on like school work but i just cant doodle in my sketchbook
Star Chaser I have this problem too! I’ve started tearing out the pieces that have good doodles and taping them in my sketchbook on a blank page so that I have a starting point that I know I like for some doodles, or I’ll tape them over things I absolutely hate
How to fill your sketchbook: Step 1: *Draw everyday when your not busy.* Step 2: *Always have fun in colouring or shading.* Step 3: *Have fun.* Step 4: *Realize you don’t have paper to draw on.*
This is SO me. I just got a new sketchbook two weeks ago and I thought, "Okay! This is gonna be filled with beautiful art and Inktober stuff, and no ripped pages or scribbles that hardly look like art!" Pfft, now I want a new sketchbook...
Something that helps me is that whenever I want to get a new sketchbook, I go back and if I don’t like a sketch, I’ll erase it and start again or tape in a cover up until I’m satisfied.
I love the way that you talk to the camera. I feel like you are actually taking to me, personally. It really draws me in and makes me feel more appreciated ;)
My tips: Search a random country generator and draw things associated with it Draw things in one colour Draw monsters Practice anatomy Ask someone for ideas Draw outside for inspiration And have fun :)
1. Mindlessly doodle 2. play with Colour 3. attack your weakness(es) 4. stick things in your sketchbook 5. draw from life 6. explore shapes 7. design characters 8. work on your style 9. do a challenge 10. write
Some of my tips: -If you don't like a picture you can get some nice origami paper (i have spirited away pieces) and just stick it on top. -Do a bunch of patterns or mandalas. -Do studies -ask other people what you could draw -practice composition -do something silly or out of the ordinary (finger painting, dipping your foot in paint and walking on your sketchbook, purposely spilling something on it etc..) -do a light watercolor wash over the top of a page to change the color slightly, then draw ontop of it -design creatures -get stickers Just a few ideas ^-^
I nearly always purposefully drip tea round the sides of my mug and stick it on the paper. Leave it for a bit whilst doodling, then pick it up and I have a mug ring! Normally some patriotic Brit thing gets doodled in there, like the union jack or something :P
Coratison you do those background squares to let a sketch pop out so lets say youre brainstorming and you find one sketch particular good and you draw the square behind it so its the first that pops into your eyes
Also: Draw in pen. It’ll feel like whatever you’re doing isn’t finalised and you’ll be tempted to experiment more with random things that you wouldn’t consider in a finalised piece. It also makes you think about every line you draw and if it improves it. It personally helped me draw cleaner second sketches.
Illuminated Lamp A tip. Always sketch with a ballpoint pen, not an gel pen. Sketching with a ballpoint pen will be easier, because you can control the pressure of the ink instead of gel pens. Hope this helps
Illuminated Lamp Ballpoint pens are pretty cheap, and you can buy them typically in any stationary or book store, or they even have it in any pen sections. I got mine for a very cheap price.
One thing that helped me was having different sketchbooks for various purposes. A large multipurpose dry media sketchbook to use at home only. A small travel drawing sketchbook. A cartoon-only sketchbook. A watercolor sketchbook.
I always say to myself :"I bought this as an investment to improve my art, I should use it, not waste it." It works every time and I think people should look at sketchbooks this way too :) Thank you for the video Jel ♥
Drawing with a ballpoint pen is very helpful 😊 I tend to use it more than a pencil or a mechanical pencil because you can't really erase the lines, and it helps you build up your confidence when doing linework :D
I have had a HUGE art block for many MANY MANY months now And I have to say this video has been so HELPFUL THANK YOU I really like the idea of setting a week task drawing something Once again thank you
Honestly, I don't let anyone flip through my sketchbook. Not because I draw anything strange and questionable, or psychotic even, but because I'm very private about my art. A lot of things I draw usually represent a feeling I have and that moment, and I fear that others that live without anxiety will label me as a freak. I have a different style, experimenting with looks like Tim Burton and other famous artist that have a unique look. I think of it more as an outlook on the world, your style. Iv'e been thinking of having a sketchbook where I only show my better art rather than what I'm comfortable with. This way I will have something for my friends to flip through without seeing another side of me.
Certainly. Your art is a piece of your soul, and you don’t just walk around showing you biggest secrets, so why should you be expected to show your sketchbook?
You don't have to show them ur art but for me.. I draw lots of creepy things and i show them to ppl and they say that they love the way i draw even tho its weird...art is art no one have the right to judge u😁
Kookie The Nochi OMG I CAN RELATE...helpful tips Use summer to blow through you sketch book (I do this) My school doesnt have recess anymore I'm going into 7th so if you still have recess....what I did when I had recess was I found I quiet place in the classroom or on the field to draw and no one gathered around me accept my friends who I didn't mind. I have no idea what I'm going to do next year 😓 Lord help me....
Audrey Lowrimore yeah in art class people would tell me how amazing I was (they always came over to watch over my shoulder and say,"Your such a great drawer!" And inside my head I would think,"IT'S ARTIST NOT DRAWER!!!" DRAWER IS A STORAGE PLACE FOR YOUR PERSONAL BELONGINGS!!!" But what I would say is,"thanks but ummm it's artist..." And they would never respond....) I HATED my art and I still do....sooooo....I had a good friend of mine in my art class who was an amazing artist...I would just shooo everyone over to her to watch her draw 😏 I'm such I great friend.....
Nutella Cat man I wish I had recess I'm in 10th now dont be rushed to grow up girl. I'm 16 I wish I was still 12 or 13 tbh. but yea when people say "drawer" it does get on my nerves because its artist but I just keep my thoughts in my head.
- DÊMØNÊTÎSÊD - when I draw something that’s looks like crap to me I just put a question mark next to it or I just put “ugh” or something like that even when I draw something nice I comment it so nah you’re not alone
I either put a ? if I'm not sure about something like color or a drawing and will say oops on places I messed up. And if it's a really bad drawing I put things like "dis looks like maniac running around in the streets" or "dis look bad" or "this proves how bad I can be at drawing" to try and get a laugh out of it.
@@lexieequestrian4706 my doodles consist of random lines, shapes, and flowers, and they all look like TRASH, at least her doodles look good :/ i have to actually try for anything to look anywhere near good
The way I draw: *draws a face* Me: hmm... that looks good *draws the hair* Me: looking nice. I'll just fix this eye. *fixes eye* Me: Noo!! It's ruined!! *erases everything*
Next time you get a sketch book, if you feel tempted to ruin the page backseat you feel like it’s bad, take sticky notes or some kind of paper, and tape it over. Then just draw over it. I’d recommend drawing on the paper before taping it in cause you never know if your gonna like it. I use this all the time and I love it. Also, if you really don’t like a page, just tape that page to the next. That way people can’t see it.
Yeah I used to do that, but it's dumb because you can reuse those pages or draw little doodles on it. If you make a lot of mistakes try drawing lighter so you can erase mistakes easily 😉.
I appreciate the effort in the scripting, planning and editing for this "educational" sketchbook tour. I've seen countless sketchbook tours as I do research for my own videos and this video has so much more effort put into it than 90% of all sketchbook tour videos out there
[ Tranquiled Sirens ] right! I’m always drawing in my little sketchbook but I’ve began stopping because everyone asks to see it and it gives me bad anxiety because I think they’re gonna judge me for my drawings.
Thank you for being one of the few influencer artists that doesn't judge you for what you put in your sketchbook. I've had people in the past tell me that if it's not perfect then it can't be in a sketchbook and it would stress me the hell out.
Practice drawing cubes and cylinders, in perspective. Don't draw the vanishing points; just eyeball it. The purpose of the exercise is to improve your sense of representing concrete forms. Make the cubes look like they are cubes, not irregular boxes. Make the cylinders look round, so that they edges of the ellipses are neither pinched nor bloated. That will make it easier to draw everything else.
Oh god you seem so mature... And your video editing and shooting skills are exceptionally good..you can easily say stuff... like in a simple manner .. not complicated things that go over my head ..lol.thats why I like you. . thanks for these videos .. it really helps 🙃
”Either you’ve got ideas, but you can’t execute them, or you can draw but you don’t have ideas.” *Here I am, not having ideas and not knowing how to draw them*
Don Kapsalon yes, just scribble anything. You learn so much from your mistakes or inaccuracies. Then you know what to do next time. This is not instant gratification.
Just a suggestion; if you want to try drawing realistically, go on a UA-cam video pause it, and draw what you paused! It’s really fun for me and has helped with my ability of drawing faces/realistically.
My biggest struggle right now is not being as good as I know I could be. I kinda gave up drawing back in high school to focus on writing. On the upside, I've built up _that_ skill, but I have soooo far to go to catch up with my art. I've filled up half a sketch book since the start of the month, though, woot! ^_^
Something I LOVE doing in my sketchbook is creating cover art! It’s the thing I do most often. What I’d do is I’ll think about my favorite show or book or movie at the moment and I’d go back and rewatch or reread the thing I want to create cover art of, and I’d really study the color schemes, style, characters themes etc. Then I’d come up with multiple ideas that I would quickly sketch. Then once I’ve found a good idea, or one that I like the most, I’d broaden out that sketch and really go into detail and flesh it out. Once I’m done with that I’d go on a new page and create the finished piece! It’s something i really enjoy doing and I hope this comment can help you guys too! I just got out of a huge case of art block by doing this and I’ve found my motivation again! I hope this helped! xx
I like to have a "calendar" on one of the pages where I just doodle or draw fun stuff that has happened that day and I'll have one page for a whole month. I've done it both with a square for each day and then also random spaces
Another tip! If you get stuck because you feel discouraged, do an art trade or collab! For me it helps me a lot because I feel pretty obligated to make something nice because it’s for another person.
My past experiences with collabs haunt me because anxiety keeps attacking making me nervous if I was disappointing the person I'm collaborating/trading with so... no for me.
*Draws on the bus, and friend is sitting with me. I put my sketchbook aside to talk to someone else.* *.... Friend scribbles a big hard line in a page.* *Inhale.* *Exhale.*
Nukoduke I have had that feeling before.. I was drawing in math and I turned to see they had marked all over my art *they said, "you shouldn't be drawing in math class* boi
i honestly love this! tbh, having a messy sketchbook helps you build up your skills and just something you can mess up on because its for your happiness, right? its not like everyone will see it, its like an activity for your free time!:) and actually, your sketchbook can be anything, your agenda, your diary, your journal, honestly just anything!
Do people actually need help on filling out their sketchbook. It’s super easy. Step 1: Get a sketchbook Step 2: Draw/Sketch in it for only 5 pages Step 3: Relies that your previous sketches don’t look that good compared to your latest sketches Step 4: Put your sketchbook in a cupboard Step 5: Get another sketchbook Step 6: Repeat until, you realize your way in debt because of how much money you wasted on sketchbooks Step 7: Spend the rest of your life eating ice cream in the dark depressed and regretting everything you’ve done up to this point It’s that simple people.
I just draw faces, but I also practice body anatomy to get out of my comfort zone. Drawing the faces sometimes gets boring, so I trace bodies to practice and practice until I get my own body style, so I can finally have a body to my characters :))
I have trouble with hair, it seems easy but the faces I do don't fit quite well with the hair I drew, hands, arms and legs are easy for me but everything else is difficult for me lol
Thanks for the tips! I think another useful tip is to think of your sketchbook as a diary and draw the things that happened that day, try and use colours to show the emotion you felt during that part of your day if you can too.
My problem is: I have several sketchbooks but... I draw like on everything i see and *not in* the books i have 😂 *Edit:* When i wrote this i thought i was the only one that does this but holy heck i couldn't imagine that so many people relate to my comment :'D
Nice idea but i already have like 200 to 300 pieces of different shapes and that because i like drawing smaller and often just use one little piece of a paper and never use it again ^^" I tried so often to draw on the papers i already used but... Ehh i don't know! I hate this habit of mine 😂
I try to think like that but all my friends keep going through my sketch book and i start feeling insecure if i do a bad drawing or i don't feel like it's a good sketch....
if you dont practice perfect in your sketchbook then where? on a payd job? very idiotic if you think about it. in your free time you waste it with your comfort zone, and whenyou have to actually do somthing you stress out becouse you work well only in your comfort zone.
@@catalinafl9371 they don't have the talent that you have so they won't understand. I have been in this place too :^ so all you have to do is don't give your sketchbook to anybody
The XL Mixed Media, 7x10, is the best sketchbook I've ever owned. I.adore.it. It really is perfect for any type of media. Markers and pens really don't leak through (bigger alcohol markers sometimes do). It holds watercolor super nicely without warping the paper a ton, and it also works super nicely for any kind of pencil or pastel drawing. I use it for all of my college design classes, and to take notes in other classes too. It's the perfect size - not too big, not too small - which for some reason just sparks my creativity! 10/10 recommend to anyone, even if it's just to take notes in during class or to use as a bullet journal/planner.
I recommend drawing a gradient and then the picture over it if you’re having trouble with ideas. Listening to the same song on repeat also helps because I find it will help you draw.
I definitely want to do that! I like to use those copic wide markers to cover large areas. I got one on clearance once and I've only used it for that so far :)
I've become more invested in my sketchbook. Other than just sketching, I'm adding colours, and pasting in different kinds of papers and such. I'm also drawing little comics in it too
Just doodle eyes or write quotes. Mess with new art products or let yourself again like Jelarts said whatever your comfortable with. Just remember that art is all about fun.
Something that helps me is having one sketchbook for randoms colors, scribbles, and characters, and another that I use at school in my art class and for when I try to draw realistic things. I think since the realistic/studies book looks more clean and nice to look at, it makes it easier to make a mess and not worry so much in the other one.
Funny , I always see people complain of that, but never ever had felt anything remotely like that. There is so many things in the world to draw.. how can someone not find one to draw is beyond me.... Just keep doodling like mad until something makes you want to go further on that idea.
Ok, I know this is an old video and you probably won’t see this but you are a huge inspiration to me, this is the first video I saw starting out doing art. You inspired me to keep going and honestly started my journey to being an artist. It’s been around three years and you have no idea how many times I’ve rewatched this video. So thankyou so much for being such a huge encouragement. Keep up the good content 💕❤️
As a perfectionist, it hurts me. I can't do that. My sketchbooks have to be full projects not some random doodles. Glad that I have many projects in my mind currently.
Austrian Bish you should have two sketch books. One for art pieces with shading and coloring and such things. And another one for doodling and testing😊
OMG for real tho me too. I can't really improve because if it's not perfect I hate it and RIP it out. I am also worried about when people look at it I want them to look at the good stuff so I am constantly worried
My weaknesses are hands, feet, natural looking fat rolls and braided hair. I just don't know how to draw any of them. Especially braided hair. It's impossible to make it look good. I also suck at drawing horses and trees. And while I'm good at drawing feline heads, their bodies always turn out wrong. Differentiating between different fabrics is also really really hard. Lol maybe I'm just bad at drawing in general.
Lol, I can draw horses, and some animals, but I struggle with proportions. I have a terrible habit of drawing tiny, and when I try to draw bigger, it shrinks halfway through, haha.
I think to ease my anxiety im just gonna prevent anyone from seeing my sketchbook, so far ive been treating it like every page must be perfect. Thats not the point of a sketchbook, the point is to learn and grow. I think im just gonna experiment for the next few months, it might help me. And it could help any of you too. Try it, and see where it takes you.
I agree with the fact you shouldn't be held back by the fact 'other people may see this, what if they think it's cringe, etc.' because honestly if they have such a problem with you drawing something then they can pick up a sketchbook and fill it with the stuff THEY like but they have no right to dictate what you should and shouldn't draw.
Very true! I have a friend who is in art class with me, it feels like she deteriorates my confidence in my art bevause she always looks at me 'funny' when I'm trying to jump out of my comfort zone and still trying to find my way around the new media....
I have these little sketchbooks that I made and I try to do a sketch every day. There are days that I don’t feel like drawing then the next day I try to compensate, especially when the college exams start. There I noticed that the more u do characters and stuff easier it gets. I usually, when I can’t find inspiration to do something, look around for people, objects or anything that could be turned into something. About character design, I draw friends or people around me, using as a reference, because everybody is different, in shapes, sizes, clothes, hair, if u start paying attention to the people around you and try to imagine them as a character u’ll never have problems with your imagination. I hope that could help someone, it works for me and so I continue whit my drawings.
What I do alot is to put on music and draw what the music makes me think of. I also like to go back to old art and old sketchbooks and redraw something because I suprise myself with improvement and seeing that improvement is inspiring!
EmilyArts take it with you! I've finished like 9 in the past year. I don't really have finished pieces in them, but I draw ALL the time. Maybe have one you carry around and intend to finish, and one with pieces in them.
My art and math teachers always told me before quarantine to not erase the mistakes and embrace when something’s wrong bc later it shows how much you’ve grown so ya
Even if I stuck random stuff in my sketchbook I’d throw it out, my problem is. I look at other people’s sketchbooks and feel shamed of my art so I just throw it out.
It's really hard to overcome and I still haven't, but they key is to let your hand fly and *have fun* Let your hand free, listen to some music and draw random, weird shapes and things. Even a messy, stupid sketch is a style and it will improve! You're not alone, never forget that.
@@minyiecake Not with that attitude! Jeez, just try to slowly work your way to being more positive and you'll see what I mean. If you don't know how to do that, I can lend a few tips.
My art style that im trying to improve: -big heADs (its a terrible habit im trying to change ^^) -girlsgirlsgirls -bangs! -eyes are hard aF -sometimes there are no ears and eyebrows but sometimes there aRE! -eyes again... -why cant i get this arm right? -why cant i get the hand right? -WHY CANT I GET THE LEGS RIGHT?

I have seen uncountable number of sketchbook ideas, how to fill your sketchbook videos but your video really inspired me, all these sketchbook thoughts... thankyou so much!! Let's gets messy ✨🎨🌈
Emptynism, it's good to practice drawing naked people, because once you get into art school, they're going to have you draw actual naked people. And there will be people who madel for you naked tht you have to paint. So it's just easier to start precticing that now, then struggling then. It's not weird for an artist.
Lady SeaUniverse if you're just practicing anatomy, then just draw puppets or construction people(if that makes sense) how are nudes gonna help you anyway?
This video made me subscribe. Its probably my first video ive seen of yours and it helped me so much. it inspired me. it made me happy and I absolutely love your art style as well have a great day and I wish you luck

Use different mediums!! I mostly use watercolor, pencil, pen, and sometimes gouache on my multi-med sketchbook! And even though it's not really a sketchbook, if you are tired of using traditional mediums, use digital! (or vice versa) I also look at prompt generators along with colors! Make thumbnails/story boards! If I have a favorite quote or phrase, I just write/doodle it! If you are like me, who has amazing ideas at night, I always have sticky notes near my bed so I could just blindly write it, and I can look at it again when i wake up. I also put my fav characters and OCs in clothes I like online! and just try different types of art styles! Know things you need to work on, to me it's composition, background, anatomy, and lighting/shading!

Sometimes when I draw I put on a film to listen to. Once I was watching Captain America and the winter soldier. I started drawing shields and stuff. Then I attempted to draw Natasha’s hair. I went back to the shields that I liked and wrote stuff. Then I looked back at Natasha’s hair, I immediately put ‘I don’t wIKe it.’ Ever since then whenever I think something looks awful in my sketchbook I put/say the words: ‘I don’t wIKe it.’ Now I’m known at school as the person who fills up their sketchbook with wIKe. Ty Chris Evans!
Something Ive noticed about myself and my sketchbook habits is that motivation comes in two ways, in small spurts of "oh this would cool" and me actually consistently drawing and painting on a near daily basis. And those times will last a couple weeks or so but then I just get burnt out. I either get frustrated with what I'm drawing or I'll have some big piece I'm working on that by the end of it I won't want to paint for a while. Almost like my creative drive is exhausted. Doing inktober was definitely something that pushed me quite a bit this year. I made it 20 days doing an illustration nearly every day and I had fun with it, but around the 20th i kinda just stopped and I feel like this obligation that I should try to at least do the last couple days but I honestly just don't feel like it.
I feel the exact same way! I get a burst of creativity & inspiration, and then can't do it anymore for months sometimes. And literally the same thing happened to me with inktober vov it was rly frustrating.. But at the end of 2017 I seemed to be sketching more.. I think taking art classes helped get me inspired & kept me drawing, because you're forced to. It feels easier to continue to draw when you do it so often, I guess. I'm not sure of any other tips though. Good luck, friend! :)
my mom came up to me and she was like, WHAT ARE THESE, they were nude drawings of girls because I was trying to practice how it looks. But she grounded me for drawing...
That's so fucked up, I love figure drawing and my mom's knows how much artistic expression means to me. I can't even imagine how I would feel if I had it taken away. -How old are you, if you don't mind me asking?
I never show my mom my sketchbook. I show her some drawings but in my sketchbook i draw my emotions sometimes and if ma mom saw that i would be embarrassed idk its stuff i keep ro myself
I'm actually really happy that she said that your sketchbook doesn't have to be a perfect drawing on every page and that it can be messy bc I've seen so many people's sketchbook and its perfect on every page and there's is nothing wrong about that but I feel somewhat pressured to make sure everything is perfect every time I draw into the sketchbook and this really helped me take it easy

-Do a bunch of patterns or mandalas.
-Do studies
-ask other people what you could draw
-practice composition
-do something silly or out of the ordinary (finger painting, dipping your foot in paint and walking on your sketchbook, purposely spilling something on it etc..)
-do a light watercolor wash over the top of a page to change the color slightly, then draw ontop of it
-design creatures
-get stickers
Just a few ideas ^-^

Coratison same
Coratison you do those background squares to let a sketch pop out so lets say youre brainstorming and you find one sketch particular good and you draw the square behind it so its the first that pops into your eyes
Coratison www
Coratison I want to do them so bad but it scares me that I'll use all of my ink lol
Also:
Draw in pen. It’ll feel like whatever you’re doing isn’t finalised and you’ll be tempted to experiment more with random things that you wouldn’t consider in a finalised piece. It also makes you think about every line you draw and if it improves it. It personally helped me draw cleaner second sketches.
Yellow Beret ~ but i can’t sketch in pen.
Illuminated Lamp A tip. Always sketch with a ballpoint pen, not an gel pen. Sketching with a ballpoint pen will be easier, because you can control the pressure of the ink instead of gel pens. Hope this helps
Lady Callow ~ idk types of pens. i only have 1 pen sooo
Illuminated Lamp Ballpoint pens are pretty cheap, and you can buy them typically in any stationary or book store, or they even have it in any pen sections. I got mine for a very cheap price.
Lady Callow ~ i am litterally 10 and am broke. 😂 also i hate drawing in pen so like what’s the point.
One thing that helped me was having different sketchbooks for various purposes. A large multipurpose dry media sketchbook to use at home only. A small travel drawing sketchbook. A cartoon-only sketchbook. A watercolor sketchbook.
I always say to myself :"I bought this as an investment to improve my art, I should use it, not waste it."
It works every time and I think people should look at sketchbooks this way too :)

Drawing with a ballpoint pen is very helpful 😊 I tend to use it more than a pencil or a mechanical pencil because you can't really erase the lines, and it helps you build up your confidence when doing linework :D

MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
Next time you get a sketch book, if you feel tempted to ruin the page backseat you feel like it’s bad, take sticky notes or some kind of paper, and tape it over. Then just draw over it. I’d recommend drawing on the paper before taping it in cause you never know if your gonna like it. I use this all the time and I love it. Also, if you really don’t like a page, just tape that page to the next. That way people can’t see it.
I am it’s not so fun

Yeah I used to do that, but it's dumb because you can reuse those pages or draw little doodles on it. If you make a lot of mistakes try drawing lighter so you can erase mistakes easily 😉.

I've done it both with a square for each day and then also random spaces
wonderful idea!

Do people actually need help on filling out their sketchbook. It’s super easy.
Step 1: Get a sketchbook
Step 2: Draw/Sketch in it for only 5 pages
Step 3: Relies that your previous sketches don’t look that good compared to your latest sketches
Step 4: Put your sketchbook in a cupboard
Step 5: Get another sketchbook
Step 6: Repeat until, you realize your way in debt because of how much money you wasted on sketchbooks
Step 7: Spend the rest of your life eating ice cream in the dark depressed and regretting everything you’ve done up to this point

_Potato on drugs_ Thats sad XD
The main purpose of a sketchbook is to practice, not to be perfect. You’re not going to sell your sketchbook page by page.
i did i made 45 dollars sold each page for 1 dollar
I try to think like that but all my friends keep going through my sketch book and i start feeling insecure if i do a bad drawing or i don't feel like it's a good sketch....
if you dont practice perfect in your sketchbook then where? on a payd job? very idiotic if you think about it. in your free time you waste it with your comfort zone, and whenyou have to actually do somthing you stress out becouse you work well only in your comfort zone.

I'm also drawing little comics in it too
I'm happy with just a pencil and a pen. there's a lot you can do with just those two.
Just doodle eyes or write quotes. Mess with new art products or let yourself again like Jelarts said whatever your comfortable with. Just remember that art is all about fun.
+Maki K. That's a really great reminder. I should tell myself that more: art is supposed to be fun! I stress about it too much sometimes.
Many unfinished projects in my sketchbook but it’s my book of shadows where I practice the magic of my art . Thank you Dear One for this video ❤️🙏
Something that helps me is having one sketchbook for randoms colors, scribbles, and characters, and another that I use at school in my art class and for when I try to draw realistic things. I think since the realistic/studies book looks more clean and nice to look at, it makes it easier to make a mess and not worry so much in the other one.

Not in my school unfortunately
Today I didn’t know what to draw and you posted this and it motivated me to try to draw hands right (I hate to draw hands)
This video helped me a lot
+Ava Aaliyah Ahh I'm really glad it helped!
Theres always only 1 good picture in my sketchboocks
Flem li I tend to do lots of scribbly sketches and unfinished stuff, and I end up not liking most of the pages 😂
That's still one more than zero!
Flem you spell book wrong
stfu all of the pages are beautiful.
JelArts Same! 😂
This was so helpful and love it!!!! :D I never usually finish my sketchbooks but its definitely a goal of mine to finish one!
EmilyArts take it with you! I've finished like 9 in the past year. I don't really have finished pieces in them, but I draw ALL the time. Maybe have one you carry around and intend to finish, and one with pieces in them.
I Fill mine but For Some Reason i Keep Forcing myself to be Organized Instead of Letting my Creative Flow :P
EmilyArts i finish mine too easily it kinda makes me sad
EmilyArts hahahahah i finish mine all tha time
Remi Lee you are so lucky I never finish my sketchbook
My art and math teachers always told me before quarantine to not erase the mistakes and embrace when something’s wrong bc later it shows how much you’ve grown so ya
Your sketchbook is already filled ( with paper )
The Average Guy haha nice
HAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAA
I did a dislike because the joke killed me
yay
The Average Guy mood
Even if I stuck random stuff in my sketchbook I’d throw it out, my problem is. I look at other people’s sketchbooks and feel shamed of my art so I just throw it out.
Same here!
It's really hard to overcome and I still haven't, but they key is to let your hand fly and *have fun*
Let your hand free, listen to some music and draw random, weird shapes and things.
Even a messy, stupid sketch is a style and it will improve!
You're not alone, never forget that.
Parrot Carrot ~ it’s not easy to fucking have fun.
@@minyiecake Not with that attitude!
Jeez, just try to slowly work your way to being more positive and you'll see what I mean.
If you don't know how to do that, I can lend a few tips.
I feel your pain
I love your art style it's so cool and every single image just seems like it flows through the pages it's really cool
+Anna Sweeney Wow thank you! I really appreciate it 😄
JelArts np your work inspired to start pushing my self to do the things I'm not good at!!
I love the "messy" rough sketch aesthetic, but, as a perfectionist, I can't do it myself and it BOTHERS me.
Her: I can’t draw feet I just find them so hard
Me: ummmmhummmm
REALLY YOU WANNA LOOK AT MINE?
😂
so fucking relatable
I dont draw hands or feet it's always a "close up"
I can't tell, but are shoes easier to draw than bare feet? *_The struggle is real_*
One thing that I do is listen to music and draw what I picture happening or just get inspiration from it.
My art style:
-big eyes
-girls only I can’t draw boys
-hands in the back
-doesn’t have ears
Omg, SAME!
My art style that im trying to improve:
-big heADs (its a terrible habit im trying to change ^^)
-girlsgirlsgirls
-bangs!
-eyes are hard aF
-sometimes there are no ears and eyebrows but sometimes there aRE!
-eyes again...
-why cant i get this arm right?
-why cant i get the hand right?
-WHY CANT I GET THE LEGS RIGHT?
Same
Same, but I can draw boys too.
-i can draw eyes very well
-i cant draw girls, only boys
- hands are sometimes t posing (yes lmao) or peace signing but idk how to do anthing else
-ears i can do
I have seen uncountable number of sketchbook ideas, how to fill your sketchbook videos but your video really inspired me, all these sketchbook thoughts... thankyou so much!! Let's gets messy ✨🎨🌈
I rlly hate when my fam goes through my sketchbooks and see my nude or depressed zone drawing
Sucks ass, never do that to an artist
Why do you even have nude drawings?
RIGHT?! Oh my glob, it's so fridgin' annoying.
Lady SeaUniverse you too? Wtf
No 1. Don't buy expensive sketchbooks. You'll feel too intimidated to draw
ChocoLate Milk too late bought the biggest one I saw
True mate
ChocoLate Milk
exactly, I have that problem
ChocoLate Milk
That's why I practice techniques or doodle around on cheap printer paper and if I want to start a project, then I use the Sketch pad
Same here :(
This video made me subscribe. Its probably my first video ive seen of yours and it helped me so much. it inspired me. it made me happy and I absolutely love your art style as well
have a great day and I wish you luck
Thank you so much! I really appreciate it.
i bought my first binded sketchbook since i have owned 13+ spiral bound sketchbooks (and haven’t finished any of them bc i rip pages out) I’m not allowing myself to rip things out and i’m making progress. this vid helped give me inspiration, thank you!!
How I draw:
*Draws face*
*Draws neck*
Me: time for the body!
*Draws body*
Me: WHAT THE HECK HE GOT SOME LONG AND WIDE BODY HOW DO I FIX THIS
*Procedes in trying to fix it*
Me: NO NO NO ITS RUINED ITS R U I N E D D D D D
I do the opposite lol
Nah I draw the body perfectly and then get to the head and am like "y u built like that tho.."
@@Xtheghost story of my life
The only solution to my version of this problem:
*Do a rough very light sketch* ✨
But of course I will fail anyway-
omg i do that too xD
Use different mediums!! I mostly use watercolor, pencil, pen, and sometimes gouache on my multi-med sketchbook!
And even though it's not really a sketchbook, if you are tired of using traditional mediums, use digital! (or vice versa)
I also look at prompt generators along with colors!
The Czar that really isn't a czar thanks this really helped!
THANKSS
Wow you write alot
"doesn't have to be a finished masterpiece"
Has amazing drawings on every page
Me - ...
*Edit* Omg i totally forgot about this comment and it got 400 likes i can't-
Sure
Bruh i feel like this is a comment gone wrong. Obviously this is bragging.
kôøkîës n' sûgår krêäm i thought they were talking about her (the youtuber) having amazing drawings on every page lol. but it could also be interpreted that way.
@@skeleph0ne oof yep
I feel they're referring to the art in the video. But even if not, there's nothing wrong with being confident in your work ❤️
Sometimes when I draw I put on a film to listen to.
We have the same water color palette. Waw
woo!
Megan Desouza What brand is it?
@@caseymcleod6800 I believe it is a pack of sakura watercolour and brush
my mom came up to me and she was like, WHAT ARE THESE, they were nude drawings of girls because I was trying to practice how it looks. But she grounded me for drawing...
That's so fucked up, I love figure drawing and my mom's knows how much artistic expression means to me. I can't even imagine how I would feel if I had it taken away. -How old are you, if you don't mind me asking?
Dude, really? I'm a girl and I'm ok with it. (If you drew private parts then maybe don't next time).
That's bullshit, how are you supposed to learn?
I never show my mom my sketchbook. I show her some drawings but in my sketchbook i draw my emotions sometimes and if ma mom saw that i would be embarrassed idk its stuff i keep ro myself
@Valerie Berry tbh he couldve just made it for the reason his mom thought he drew it for
I'm actually really happy that she said that your sketchbook doesn't have to be a perfect drawing on every page and that it can be messy bc I've seen so many people's sketchbook and its perfect on every page and there's is nothing wrong about that but I feel somewhat pressured to make sure everything is perfect every time I draw into the sketchbook and this really helped me take it easy
