We'd never seen anything this good before. Amazing to think how far games have come in the past 20 years. Thanks for uploading, I never reached the end :)
The controls are precise on Miracle World, you just have to become attuned to Alex's momentum and his way of moving. He does exactly what you tell him to do, you get used to it.
Childhood memories! Brings me back to the days. I remember my mom bought me this and she would watch me play this game and she would get really into it. She's been gone 3 years now, this brought back so much memories. Thanks for the video!

It must be a miracle to finish this game without getting burned. Congratulations to the player. I remembered the days when I cried out of anger while playing, but I am also one of those who finished the game. The ending was so ridiculous. In my opinion, Alex Kidd's Shinobi World is the best game of the series.
This game and Shinobi were and still are two of my favourite games. The level of frustration from the Octopus and the ghost on this game is still unparalleled. You open a wonderful mystery box and out comes this ghost to come and ruin your seemingly bright and wonderful adventure! You learn from the mistake, only to then go underwater to find the octopus flailing its tentacles in order to further frustrate you time and time again! As for Shinobi, the mini game you got at the end of each level throwing the ninja stars at the coked up speedy little bastards was just immense. My dad got so addicted to Shinobi, that one day I awoke at the age of 7 to the sound of crushing plastic and electronics to then come downstairs to find my Master System in two and being launched into the bin with the force of a thousand wildebeest by a very pissed off mother. Ah, childhood.
You can use the invincibility powder on the octopus if you like. The manual lies to you, it works underwater... It's also handy for getting past the underwater spikes in the red castle. You just need to be careful with the octopus to kill him normally. You only need to punch out the tentacle section closest to his body and he's dead.

Are you saying you as a kid had never had the curiosity to boot the system without a cartridge in? To see the screen color maybe? Or how many dots it would show? Or at least what error it gave? Were you that addicted to getting a reward from strictly playing a certain game or set of games? So you needed an accident to discover the little wonder that was right under your nose? How can anyone be thus complacent? Tell me this is not possible!!!
Eren629 He dumb fuck people watching this video have allot in common concerning Alex kidd so don't fucking insult or get the fuck out. Am European and Americans are great you stupid fuck. This is nostalgia at it greatest so don't fucking insult people who have played Alex kidd!!
Holy crap man what a nostalgia trip! Never was able to workout how to beat this back in the day it feels good to see someone beat it now we're in 2024 at 46 years of age lmao
I remember this game as a kid, it was hard backthem and 23 years later it's still hard, the point is 1 & 2 for jump & hit are reversed, alex is alway's flouting to the surface rathen then sinking to the bothum, alex alway's walking fast, but for a higher jump you still do need to take a long run, and it's easy to slide off from platforms, when alex uses his fist he stops walking,in vertical levels, you can never go back to a previouse screen, same problem for horizontal levels,no contineus, it just feels so unfriendly. But that's what you could expect from sega,a game with almost the opposie controls from supermariobros .,haha lol.
I loved this game. I was never as good at is as you though. It was truly a pleasure to watch you play through it. I have fond memories of my childhood playing this title. Thank you for making this video. You've made me feel young again, if only for a short while. Thank you. ;)
This is one of the best games ever and have never completed it since I've been about 8 yrs old but so many good memories connected to this game it truly is a classic of all classics 👌🏻
I was playing this game from 2 years old apparently, I never got past the forest on the bike on my own though. This brings back so many memories and I've just enjoyed watching this entire video :-)
I can finally go to my grave in piece knowing this game has an ending after +30yrs thinking in the back of my mind I was a failure for never seeing the end!!
Yes but then my friend (by accident) found out how to get past it, by throwing down the controller in frustration - and when he respawned, he didn't die. All you do is let yourself rise up into the spikes and he just bounces along them gently. If you gingerly press forward, being careful not to accidently hit diagonally upward, you slide right along uninjured. It was like a secret, and it made it actually possible to get past.
This game is a classic. I played this game when I was I kid on the master system 2. I have still got the master system 2 with this game. Good memories. Never ever completed it lol

34:09 how did you navigate those spikes without dying?!?!? I could never ever get past this underwater section?!
The spikey bits are sort of fake, You can touch them from directly underneath and over the top but you just can hit them from the side
@@jondnzI swear I tried that and would always die😢😮
la bonne époque avec se jeu 😊😊😊
havnt played this game in over 20 years amazing how remember everything in it
Minha infância total!!!
O melhor do Master, sem discussão.
Classico que tem o meu nome.
This game used to be free on the console, u just had to turn the system on with no cartridge inserted and.... boom! Alex Kidd, awesome game!
Horia Stoian Yes, I finished it at about 7 years old, I am 28 now!! The very last level was where you get the crown.
haha YES!! i have it on my boyfriends xbox now.. controls are much harder :/
LOL I remember every screen and order I smash that stones, because you always start from scratch. Pure automatism. Game of my childhood
Not on ours! But we got it early, maybe 1986.
Took me at least a year to complete this. Although the graphics are pissy the game as a whole was inspired.
What do you mean? The graphics are great.
Holy crap, the memories playing this back in the early 90s!
Getting turned to stone scared me so much when I was a kid.
20 year or what ever later and I still can’t get the bloody tune out of my head.
this game is so underrated
My thumbs are sore just re-watching it! Great job. I was never capable to complete it, finally I've seen the last few stages. Thank you!
Thank you. ;)
I used to sing with the main song, "Alex the Kidd, Alex the Kidd, Alex the Kidd Kidd Kidd Kidd Kidddd".
Hey guys. Any one care to review Alex Kidd In Miracle World 2? It is a homebrew Master System game just released (rom)which I did the music to. 😃
I used the sing: "Alex the Kidd, Alex the kidd in miracle wooooooorld!"
Haha no way, I used to sing something similar to that haha
No way, that's pretty cool! I'll give it a check out :)
Noooo!!!! Now I will be singing that forever! Curse you!!!
This is one of the best games ever and have never completed it since I've been about 8 yrs old but so many good memories connected to this game it truly is a classic of all classics 👌🏻
Urgh the spikea in the last castle always killed me
СПАСИБО!ЭТО БЫЛА МОЯ ЛЮБИМАЯ ИГРА В СТАРЫЕ ДОБРЫЕ ВРЕМЕНА !

I used to play this game bloody loved it!!! Brings back so memories played it for hours drove me nuts!!!
Man, our childhood games were some trippy shit.
I was playing this game from 2 years old apparently, I never got past the forest on the bike on my own though. This brings back so many memories and I've just enjoyed watching this entire video :-)
my dad bought me this game, and the music took me back on time when I was a child. 😢
The rocks breaking with each punch is ASMR to my ears =P
5:07, 29:39 and 31:21! I've played this game for my entire childhood and only now I find out that you could do those! LOL
+Akira Uema yeah that freaked me out to
And you deliberately get the ghost in the mystery cube at 0:43 then run ahead to 'lose' him, so the next one at 2:00 has a life in it.
Indeed, back before we could discover things on UA-cam walkthroughs
I can finally go to my grave in piece knowing this game has an ending after +30yrs thinking in the back of my mind I was a failure for never seeing the end!!
Still didnt comprehend the order of stepping on the bloody pink tiles - huge thumbs up though to the video maker
Like if you had many game over because of 32:29
If you used to magic stick instead of falling down the trap door, you can skip doing that as shown on 33:03.
I'm ALWAYS dead at that point... About 23 years ago
+viviones Don't push up while swimming under the spikes.
James Chatting Yep, load up an emulator and try it yourself! As far as I'm concerned it's the only way to get past it!
First and only game I ever played all the way through. So many levels I forgot about. This was awesome to see!!
Back then kids, if you got to Janken's castle, you were a motherfucking player. Never mind beating him.
CARALHO MEU PRIMEIRO GAME EM 1992

R.I.P MR GAME AND WATCH NINTENDO'S FIRST EVER MASCOT
FYI they are still alive. why? well mr game and watch is in super smash bros and alex kidd is in sega all star.XD
but at least Sega and Nintendo could give them new games
agree
Sonic is not good anymore. SEGA should now make a new Alex Kidd game until they think of a new perfect sonic game not some trash like sonic boom
O jogo que mais joguei na minha infância, passei horas e horas e nunca zerei e ele zerou em 38 minutos, show de bola.
This bad boy's getting a Remake.
wait, seriously?
This game is a classic. I played this game when I was I kid on the master system 2. I have still got the master system 2 with this game. Good memories. Never ever completed it lol
On the version I played there were burgers instead of sushi rolls
Yeah sae :D glad im not the only one that had that.. I thought this was guniss lol
The burger is ment for western people, that sushi is ment for the Japanese market where it first come from.

In die original Version it was a Riceball, für die US Markt they Change it in a Hamburger.
