star shower is essentially the new stars of ruin since the nerf, it has the same tracking. so its not surprising lots are being hit by it. the people who used to spam stars of ruin all switched to star shower after its nerf
Imo star shower seems to have better tracking but it may be a placebo or ppl don't know how to avoid it as well
Keep up the good videos not many people still post this game and it is nice that some people do

Ahhh I was using this back in the last patch when they improved this ash. Really fun but u sacrifice alot of range using on a twin blade. Very effective nonetheless
I am LOVING this build this week
I run cragblade/peeler on my int/Dex build with hook claws that have beast roar.
It's one of my more successful dueling builds. Anything that buffs fundamentals is nice imo. Good success rate
I started new play through on new PS5, and found twinblades in dragonburnt ruins. Will be doing dex-str-magic build this time and will try lorettas ash of war❤
Did you know death prince staff has the most spell damage because if you increase int and faith equally it outperform alot of other staffs in stats
What a magnificent thing these videos are.
I know this isn't relevant to this build (which I wish I had seen before I finished my ng+ playthrough with a two-handed twinblade), but as I was going along I noticed something possibly interesting for the things you might not know series. I was fighting one of those dragonflies with a sword (I know, silly of me) and was getting sick of it, so I used scarlet aeonia thinking the aoe would kill it. To my surprise, it took 0 damage (even after flying into the flower). I thought that was odd so tried fire's deadly sin. Same result 0 damage; even with my body on fire the dragonfly flew up to me, hit me, and still took no damage.
The dragon fly has robbed you of your pride and honor, slay the immortal creature.

I wish there was a buff that looked like loretta slash visual effect. On twinblades it really make you look like you are using a lightsaber
Oh if you are at 99 Arcane, you can sleep most mobs with one arrow using the Serpent Bow.
I'm starting to realize twinblades are really good strength build with gargoyles tb and cragblade is really no joke. And it puts on any status stupid quick

btw did you know the dagger Sellen gives you at the end of her quest can be charged, going to try with spell blade but might be a very strong aspect
It's absolutely monstrous. With spellblade set and Godfrey icon, the spell hits like a truck and you can always follow up with the gap closer. It pierces too. Great for pve.
Next time yall do a tip/did you know video check out the beside the great bridge grace and look at the dragons infused into the cliffs just take a closer look north and west cliffs there with a telescope, also idk if this works but does crouching then rolling make you go faster I tested it its like 3 seconds faster i could be wrong but someone fact check it please
I put it on a godskin peeler, worked about as fine it seems :). I just like that weapon alot, so I try alot of ashes on it lol

Any reason for using the standard twinblade instead of the twinned knight swords that (I would think) deal much more damage for just 2 more strength?
My guess would be that he uses it with a staff, and normal twin blade scales better with Dex for that, so it’s more damage that way

I like the combo, but I really don't like getting hit... Ever. I usually kill mobs at range. Sleep and poison do nicely. Rotten Breath for the situation as well.

That is an option, but it won’t work in the magic side of the build. The thing about twinblades is their accessibility to make status process due to the constant hits, like bleed or frost

Twinned knight is better for strength.
Twinblade is better for Dexterity.

Speed doesn't make up for the lack of power an damage they do.. I duel wield them, when I fight against other players that 2 hand them an I just absolutely destroy them
1.) The speed does help with power, you know that right? You realize that the faster you can swing and hit with a weapon the higher your DPS with said weapon will be.
Just because something like a greatsword can deal high initial damage, doesn't mean anything, when id rather hit for less initial damage but be able to deal more damage more quickly.
The quicker you can hit something, the more damage you'll do per second. Greatswords hit hard but have very low damage per second because they take longer to swing consecutively compared to something thats very fast like twinblades.
2) You realize when it comes to status effect builds, that speed is far better than outright damage... Right?
This is a build/video showcasing a frost build, and with status effects such as poison, bleed, frost, rot you want to be able to hit with something thats fast, so you can proc the status effect fast.
When using a build focused around a status effect you dont really need damage, since the status effect is really all that matters. The damage from rot, poison, frost, bleed, adds up pretty fast.
Try fighting the godskin noble fight at volcano mamor, with two different builds, one focused around pure damage and the other around a status effect... And you'll find the faster status effect build will do much better than the pure damage build.
Especially bleed, you can kill the godskin noble fights with sleep pots + bleed, the fastest ive killed the godskin noble at volcano manor was quite literally 10-15 seconds.
Sleep pot him, bloodflame blade a weapon with a bleed passive/ash of war, and go to town and watch as his health bar goes from full to dead with just a few bleed procs

All I'm saying from what I have personally experienced. Iv used it 2 handed I csn tell the difference in the damage I do with 2 handing the weapon an duel wielding the weapon.

you need to get whetstone knife and iron whet blade to allow you to add a affinity to the weapon then the glintstone whet blade to add magic and cold, now go the the ash of war tab, select lorretas slash then add cold affinity
Guys I don't understand how to make a "cold" twinblade with Loretta's slash ash. I don't understand. Either becomes magical or normal.
You need the Glinstone whetblade from Raya Lucaria. That will allow you to set the magic or cold affinity to any ash of war + weapon combo.
i killed patches without knowing i would miss out on bullgoat ar.or and than i got to the poi t where leyndel burns down so i missed out on lioel armor too 😭😭😭 i totally ruined my playthrough 😵😵💫
Lorettas slash is objectively a bad ash of war in pvp. Any skilled player can dodge and punish you
But recovery has been buffed tho so punish frame is way smaller
