I love to think about all the women in the past who worked these lovely designs, shared them with their friends, etc. We are so connected with our heritage when we work these vintage arts.
You nailed it Babes !!! And after working into all those hundreds of tiny chain stitches and single crochets, you have earned the right to NOT make tassles.
You could change the length and make it a headband! Add a ribbon between the holes for like a cute detail (and one less row in the square motif). I really enjoyed this one!
Looks like super vintage granny square. Id have to do at least light yarn n for sure a bigger hook. Garter bit was hilarious!! Maybe you could do vintage garter belt designs for your etsy shop. Designs means products. You are so good with bitty crochet.
That was an interesting one. No, don't bother with the fringe, you've done more than enough work on this project. Well done! As others have already said, a headband or hairband would be nice, for a little girl I'd say pink and white would be lovely.
Finally, someone else that uses the back bump of the starting chain! It makes for a nicer finished edge or easier edge to add a border. I always start in the back bump unless a pattern specifically states otherwise.
It's either back bump or the starting chain for me!.... The one where you basically chain and do row 1 at the same time? There's probably a better name.... Regardless, it makes for such even tension when working flat, but definitely does not always apply to a pattern.
@@ColorwaveCraftsCo What helped me master foundation chain was to know what each part was doing, like that first chain made before doing a stitch as normal is actually forming the anchor point for the next stitch, where the hook will be going. Then I keep it from curling by allowing that chain portion to be as loose as it wants to be (as putting the next stitch in it will tighten it right up).
I think it's perfect lovely without the fringe. In fact, I think the fringe might spoil it. A fringe woukd hang crooked if you tied a curtain back at an angle.
Thank you! I began crocheting last month and I was working a project with a cluster and I couldn’t figure it out until you explained it. I love your videos and began my first doily last week after seeing how you’re kind to yourself to make mistakes and laugh it off and keep going 🤗
Hi, C.! I'm glad I caught this now because hopefully you're still on to read these. I'm waiting on one more thing (due tomorrow) before I can send your birthday present package. So even if you can't get it on the actual birthday date (whenever that is!) at least know you are getting it during your birthday month! Thank you for being you! Hugs 🤗
Om so sorry I was off for so many days, I have been down and out from something I ate, got a video going up today that will explain all LOL , Thanks so much hugs
I think the square piece was at the end of the piece and a button sewed behind it to hook through the other end so you could wrap it around the curtain easier. Other than that it looks very good, I like it with or without fringe. I only say about the square piece as I have seen them before.
Oh no we got spoiled right in the beginning...no mystery. But I like what I saw...looked great...watsh anyways😉 1. I had to google "garters strap"...even its not, great idear...it should be... 2. It is very beautiful 3. dang...another project. You did great!
I really like that. I think the fringe sets it off. I like your color selection. When I was a child, I remember we use to have drapes outlining the doorways going from the living room into the bedroom. I don't know why they did that. I think I have some pictures of it.
About 6 min. In I called it as a curtain tie back. I watched my grandmother make these for her curtains as I was a child of 5 or 6. I was hoping for a guarder strap, but no go. Leave off the fringe. ❤ you nailed the pattern.
I thought it was edging for a curtain or chair. You can comb the tassels out if you put them on and they are too stiff. One can even do the twisted fringe I'd think. Cool pattern! ❤🙂
Color it nailed, because that's exactly what you did. You go, Gurl! I'm sure you can redesign this for a pair of garters, but I think the fringe would not only be overkill (who would see it?), it would get in the way of the connecting straps. I didn't join you on this one; I'm still fairly new to the steel hook game, and a 19" chain would have taken me the better part of a week to complete the first row. As it turns out, I have no curtains, so I wouldn't need a set of these. But you did your usual great job. Keep 'em coming, we'll keep watching!
Hmmm... I suddenly have a desperate need for new curtain tethers! Also new curtains, but "funner" crafty things first! 😆 As far as the fringe thing is concerned, I hate dealing with fringe. It totally gets messed up in the washing machine and even more so in the dryer! Now, if one were to add a row of beads to the bottom row...
This would make for a very pretty headband (minus any fringe of course)!! Love this one too! You are so very gifted in all things crochet. Awesome job again ❣️❣️❣️ (BTW I did another Hobby Lobby run this week and my HL has some of the edgings you bought on clearance! I got that pretty gold lacy one that was originally $12.99 for $2.99!!!! I'm not sure if all HL are clearancing out their ribbon stock, but it might be worth a looksy. 😉) 🥰
Garter strip! 😄 Have you done any vintage patterns that ask for Mercerized Crochet, Size 10 DOUBLED? I would love to watch if so. I think that would be complicated to see where to crochet stitches. (Looking at a few 1930s patterns that call for this)
While watching i cant help but think the dogs footsteps sound like a typewriter.... Same thought everytime. Doesnt bother me but it what i though it was until you said in one of the videos it was the dog.😊
I love to think about all the women in the past who worked these lovely designs, shared them with their friends, etc. We are so connected with our heritage when we work these vintage arts.
Agree!!!!!
That is BEAUTIFUL, it could be a headband!!!! Lots of work, but those would make gorgeous headbands.
You nailed it Babes !!! And after working into all those hundreds of tiny chain stitches and single crochets, you have earned the right to NOT make tassles.
This would be a lovely band around a hat. ❤
The way I cackled when you showed the picture!!😂😂😂 This was a journey that I enjoyed very much!!
Does anyone else get about 8mins in and have to restart because you decide you need to try working the mystery along with watching it? 😂
Yes, every darn time.
I show up with thread and a needle ready to go. Lol
@@bonnieballew7762 I know I should too, but so often I think I can just watch without something in my hands
Yes! 😂
8 minutes? More like half a minute 😂
Nailed it! Yea! I hope you got some good sleep. You earned it!!! Pretty, too!!!🙂
You could change the length and make it a headband! Add a ribbon between the holes for like a cute detail (and one less row in the square motif). I really enjoyed this one!
That’s a great idea! My granddaughter would love it in pink and purple unicorn 🦄❤️🩹
@@cheriastrahan8453 so cute! You could add some sparkle by adding some gold thread
Love it. Nice work. So pretty. I like it without the fringe.
Looks like super vintage granny square. Id have to do at least light yarn n for sure a bigger hook. Garter bit was hilarious!! Maybe you could do vintage garter belt designs for your etsy shop. Designs means products. You are so good with bitty crochet.
Nailed it! I love vintage crochet home decor stuff.
Corinna, you are so much fun to watch. I love it when you try to guess your project. Love watching you. 😊
You did nail it! Its so pretty! And thank you Justin for picking out so many interesting patterns!!
Justin is such a good sport! Is he interested in crocheting at all?
That was an interesting one. No, don't bother with the fringe, you've done more than enough work on this project. Well done! As others have already said, a headband or hairband would be nice, for a little girl I'd say pink and white would be lovely.
Finally, someone else that uses the back bump of the starting chain! It makes for a nicer finished edge or easier edge to add a border. I always start in the back bump unless a pattern specifically states otherwise.
That's how my grandmother taught me to start a pattern so many decades ago.
It's either back bump or the starting chain for me!.... The one where you basically chain and do row 1 at the same time? There's probably a better name.... Regardless, it makes for such even tension when working flat, but definitely does not always apply to a pattern.
@@firegodessreikois it called foundation chain? I’ve never been able to figure it out but I’m sure I’ve read that term before
@@ColorwaveCraftsCo What helped me master foundation chain was to know what each part was doing, like that first chain made before doing a stitch as normal is actually forming the anchor point for the next stitch, where the hook will be going. Wow a curtain tie back. That was a surprise! No fringes, it looks good without them.
Absolutely beautiful! I prefer it without fringe. And bless you, rest. Thank you for sharing your time.
Definitely nailed it, wouldn't have thought it was a curtain tie back.👏👏🎉
Mind blowing! So fine. You're so patient. Thank you for bringing this heritage to life and back into our consciousness.
Love it, I was undecided until the reveal. The motif shot down most of my guesses. Hope you had a refreshing sleep.
I love the way the flower pattern was worked. 💮 This was a very interesting pattern. I really enjoyed it.
I think it's perfect lovely without the fringe. In fact, I think the fringe might spoil it. A fringe woukd hang crooked if you tied a curtain back at an angle.
Spoiler alert 😢

Making that for sure, so many useful things to make. Thank you for all you do.❤
I’m a day late and a dollar short but I finally got to watch this! I’m so impressed, it’s a curtain tie back! Excellent job Corrina. ❤

Such a pretty pattern. Many possible applications. I like the idea of a headband. Or perhaps made longer to be a hair tie. 🦋
So very nice and elegant. At times, I have to take a break so that I can start out fresh again. Great job!
You could definitely use it as a garter, just add some elastic and a wee button.
I didn't even think of making one of these with crochet! 😲 I'm so glad I caught this video now! Perfect timing!😂
You nailed it girl 👍🏾❤️❤️❤️
You nailed it. You can find many purposes for it too.
Super cute.
I'm not a big fan of fringe anyway so it suits me just fine, thank you for your time and artistry 👍
I agree. Fringe collects dust and attracts random cats. 🐈
You nailed it girrrrlll!
And your definition of the pattern is so much better! Maybe I'm even gonna make one ! As a garter!
Oh no we got spoiled right in the beginning...no mystery. But I like what I saw...looked great...watsh anyways😉
1. I had to google "garters strap"...even its not, great idear...it should be...

You did great!
Still a mystery since we don't know what it is yet 😊
Sorry to say, I also don’t like this new format with the clips at the beginning, it ruins some of the surprise 😞
Also a journal Belly Band or to wrap around a journal. I can think of so many uses!!! TFS!!

Wow!
When you read the tassel part, I just immediately imagine what a nice pattern for the end of a table runner or for a courtain holder.
Never would have guessed curtain tie...you nailed it though❤ great for trim on a cuff etc ❤️❤️❤️🇦🇺
So pretty
I bet if you adjust the length and sew some elastic on the inside it would totally work as a garter.
I love the colors you picked too.
You definitely nailed it, you did a beautiful job as ever, thank you xx❤
Really like this. It could be anything you like.
I love to see those finished mystery vintage projects.
Such a pretty pattern very intricate, you have amazing patience well done ❤
Well I love it but not on my drapes. A leg maybe😂. Great job. You nailed it. 😊
I love the garter strap idea better! 😂 Thanks for the house cleaning distraction! 🙏😇❤️
That would probably work better with size 20 or 30 thread and a size 10 to 13 hook. You'll have finer stitches that will look more delicate.
I really like that. I think the fringe sets it off. I like your color selection. When I was a child, I remember we use to have drapes outlining the doorways going from the living room into the bedroom. I don't know why they did that. I think I have some pictures of it.
I like it...yes you nailed it
This is so pretty !! You nailed it !! I always have faith you will !! So many useful uses for this !! Thank You for another great video 📸 !! ❤ It !!
You did it. Beautiful work.
WOW, you got it!
You nail it!!! I am changing the length, and I am using a thicker thread and use it as a belt...lol...
I loved this. A curtain garter! That works! 😁 It is a very pretty stitch.
You have the most adorable giggle!😊
About 6 min. In I called it as a curtain tie back. I watched my grandmother make these for her curtains as I was a child of 5 or 6. I was hoping for a guarder strap, but no go. Leave off the fringe. ❤ you nailed the pattern.

Like it with out the fringe. 😮 awesome job ❤
I think you nailed it!!
Looks fantastic you got it spot on.
I love it! I can totally see this on some sheer curtains in the kitchen window!
Luv luv luv u. I just got done binge watching your videos. It took me about 6 weeks. But they were a fun 6 weeks 😁
You nailed it 🎉well done
Your stitches look sooo beautiful!!
I really like this one! It could easily be updated using different colors and even different yarns. Very nice!

Great job, this is really cool even for today.
This was a great pattern and you nailed it. Will definitely have to keep this one in mind if I ever purchase curtains.

I don't like the fringe, but I love the rest of it.
