I am Saudi female doctor who studied in Canada, so I know what does “ voice of people “ mean. I am so thankful for your Saudi series, specially this episode which brought tears to my eyes ..
Me too Dr_Nooona my tears drops while peter summarized at the end of this video the best good hospitality of Saudi people. Good job Peter make more video series about Saudi cultures.

I live about half way between San Francisco and Sacramento. The people out here in California would never invite some stranger into there houses like they do in Saudi Arabia.
@@nmnmnm35 if you are implying the government of Saudi funding terrorism than that has nothing to do with the common Saudi. Common Saudis are not the government, but common Americans don't have what Saudis have of good in them so there. And I'm American. So is my whole lineage. I've learned true compassion and love living in the middle east. From Yemen to Saudi to UAE and Egypt. Lived in them all. Nothing or nowhere like it, despite the troubles those countries sometimes go through.
nmnmnm following your logic, people in NorCal would have no problem carpet bombing a village and refer to any civilian casualties as collateral damage.
Saudi hospitality puts our Irish hospitality to shame! What lovely people. We are fed so much BS by the media. Great work Peter, feels like we’re really on the trip with you.
Your media aims to distort the morals and humanity of Muslim countries in soap operas, films and jealousy, but this is beautiful because you came to find the truth.
The American media is dominated by the liberal Zionists, and they want to demonize the Islamic culture because of the extremist ideology that does not accept the other. Understand Islam from American Muslims and Arabs Examples: Sheikh Assim Al hakim ، Dr Muhammad Salah ، Shaykh Abu Usamah At-Thahabi ، Sheikh Shamsi ـ Dr. Laurence Brown and Dr. Tahir Wyatt, Saajid Lipham, Joe Bradford، Nicholas Pelletier, Yusuf Estes ، Sheikh Othman bin Al-Farouq ، Shaykh Hasan Somali ،Shariffa Carlo Al Andalusia, Abu Mussab Wajdi Akkari OR Muhammad Tim Humble, Shaykh Wasim Kempson, Abdur Raheem McCarthy's - Ruba Qewar ، Shaykh Wasim Kempson
It’s the Nationalistic Zionistic (Na7i) MSM. What do you expect? Wait, that makes me an anti-Semite. Somehow…. Someway. -_- They want you to think bad of anything Arabs/Muslims. Informational warfare is the most powerful form of warfare. If I control your mind, everything you read, see, your entire newsfeed? I pretty much control your life. Notice the rift between Russia and US media, how they’re censoring each other as this war continues. Who controls US media? Why do they want you to think bad about Muslims and Arabs? Hint: every politician that wants to make it anywhere worthwhile has to call them an “ironclad ally,” or “our greatest ally.” To a rounding applause. Hint hint: both parties have to parrot the same line! Our greatest ally! Who is it? BOOM!
@@abenaz2019 So sad that you had to frame it as a Muslim/ Arab thing. One is a religion. The other is a race. I live in a Muslim country, my country of birth has a massive Muslim population, I find the majority of Muslims I meet to be nice people. My fellow countrymen (English) are the most racially and religiously diverse people of any country I have visited. As for Arabs, you have the same issue we have, shitty greedy leaders, who live hypocritical lives. I will say Dubai is the one country I have visited that I never wish to return to, but that was mainly because it's a soulless place and the locals were by far the unfriendliest people I ever met.

Back in 1977, my friend and I experienced the same in a southern African country at war. A woman with two small children picked us up on the road. By the time we hit her town, it was getting dark. She asked if we had a place to stay. We didn't. She drove us to her apartment. A beautiful place, all the modern conveniences. Told us she will go to her sisters for the night. Just leave the key on the kitchen counter when we leave. I've experienced the same kind of hospitality in middle eastern countries.
As Saudi you're so welcomed to visit Saudi Arabia Morteza, we as humans living in this century should not make the politics play role on judging on peoples regarding their nationality

LOVING this series Peter, my dad worked in Saudi in the 70s and 80s and I always wanted to travel there. Now, with the tourist visa and your insights into the "new" Saudi Arabia I feel far more confident and I'm looking into a suitable itinerary right now. Thanks and best regards from the UK.
i'm with you 100% - you meet the REAL people and faces of the countries you visit. What their governments do, much like ours, are not a reflection of the people themselves. I really appreciate you giving anyone watching these videos the opportunities to meet others from our world that we might never come into contact with - thanks for sharing!
Saudi government are nice too. As a citizen of KSA you don't have to pay personal income tax (only business income tax), no property tax, free education, free healthcare, you will also get pension money for everyone (not just for retired government officials). Compare KSA to Venezuela which has largest oil reserve in the world.
Daddy Warbucks Unfortunately, he has been brain washed by media by 70%. And let me tell very clear statement that we allowed ALSAUD family to role us because they are most kindest and hospitality that any Saudi has among all trips. They have royal blod and their politics are reflection of their culture and every individual Saudi culture 🙏🏼 May all mighty Allah bless our king and crown prince and whom ever serving this country 💚💚💚💚
Months later, and I still find myself thinking about this particular video (and the Saudi Grand Canyon video - SO gorgeous!)... the hospitality and warmth of the people, it’s just staggering. What you said about “imagine this happening in America.. walking up to someone’s house as they’re building it, and approaching their children.. and instead of getting suspicious about you, they invite you in and offer you tea.. would this happen in our country?” It really made me think and question certain things. Thanks Again for making these videos, I think you have lots to offer by continuing these efforts.
I am from the Middle East (Jordan), I live in US since 2016. The differences Peter noticed I experienced them in US (the opposite way ), it makes me sad when people are so suspicious, why they see the stranger as a potential threat rather than a potential friend! I think it is not that Americans are bad or mean, actually they are the opposite. I can't explain that in a comment, but I think it is the influences of capitalism and too much materialism.
I suspect the amount of tourism has a part in this. If you see a thousand tourists a day, then maybe a stranger is just too common of a thing to even notice.
Do you know all those things have shortcomings too? A lot of people who approach you can be problematic? Nd you should totally protect the kids from strangers? Why would any stranger approach a kid without the parent’s permission? Remember a child can not protect nd they are the easy targets? You will never know the inside assault that happens! Coming from a country with similar mingling nd hospitable culture. Yea but sometimes it’s nice to speak time with the neighbors but then again people aren’t as nice as they portray themselves to be.
This series is such a great playlist to watch. I wish everyone in the US would watch this. I love at the end of this video, when you make your comments. Think about if someone from the Middle East would walk up to a person's house in the West with a camera....(or anyone for that matter). You were invited in to have tea. Here you would have the police called on you. In my humble opinion, so much of what American's know about Saudi Arabia is propagandized from the news. This series has really made me want to visit Saudi Arabia.
Agreed, Peter. People in the Middle East are super hospitable. Living in Saudi and the UAE has completely changed my previously ill-conceived mindset. Wonderful people!

I'm 66 and grew up in middle Iowa. Back in the 1960s, we never locked our cars nor our house door unless we left for vacation. Everyone always waved as they drove past us or said hello on the streets. It was common to invite people into your house if they needed to use your phone and, in the meantime, offer them at least a glass of ice water or tea. Seeing the trust with the mountain people took me back to that time when life was simpler. Thank you, Great video. 😊
In many parts of Saudi Arabia (especially the countryside), being hospitable and extremely friendly to your guests is the norm. People will go above and beyond just to be honored by serving their guests the proper way, they take pride in this. I have heard stories of people wandering around like you just did and the locals fought over who gets the honor of hosting lol. These people will give you their all and proudly so. It may sound crazy, but it's completely normal to Saudis and kinda expected. This is the culture of Saudi Arabia and our ancestors. I'm really happy you captured this part of my culture and I hope you continue to enjoy your time here. P.S. your channel is amazing btw I enjoyed binge-watching your videos, I'm also fascinated by different cultures and love discovering and experiencing them. I follow many travel vloggers but none has your raw, real and chill style. I'm looking forward to your future content.
I've been binge watching your videos for the past week or so and I am loving the experience. It is fascinating and so humanizing to get inside glimpses into these communities and parts of the world that are often poorly understood. I'm feeling inspired and have a big smile on my face witnessing these great interactions you have despite the language barrier. Love your work, Peter. Thank you and keep it up!
I was at the hospital today having some tests. I met a nurse who’s husband is career military and is stationed in Croatia. We spent a great deal of time talking about the different countries we’ve both spent extended time in. I brought up one of your videos on Saudi Arabia that I watched last night and how impressed I was with Riyadh and the Saudi people you had met. It’s strange and not so strange how we Americans don’t want to leave the comfort of our own country to experience others. I’ve spent a great deal of time in Asian and European countries and I’m drawn as you are, to see and experience other cultures. I’m enjoying this series very much. I wouldn’t be surprised if the Saudi touri8department used some of it in their advertising.
I see lots of people asking him to go visit cities like Jeddah, Riyadh ect. It seems that Peter is an outstanding vloger, he has his unique way of travelling and knows where and what to vlog ..I'm glad that you are covering rural areas, where many travellers didn't come across.. You and Bald and Bankrupts have similar way of vlogging, he covers regions of Russia that no one ever heard of even Russians them selves. Spasiba Brat
Imran Pieri .... well, I think Bald intentionally avoids Muslim countries, if you noticed .. he travelled all across USSR , then flew to East Asia and spent Months travelling there, Latin America .. that’s why I think the guy with balls of steel is Peter.. he went to check these Muslims countries him self to find out what’s its all about. I also think for Bald, the Vodka element will be missing in Saudi..won't be as much fun..hhh
Thanks for opening up for us the Saudi culture. It is amazing how hospitable and friendly these people are. Much of respect to their culture and recent positive changes in the society. Your videos are more than just entertainment, this is journalism.

Great to note in minute 11:56, Abdullah has put down the tea pot, just to give Peter the cup of tea using his right hand! As this one of the Islam and Saudi manners; to serve or give people using your right hand. Although, Peter doesn’t know these manner, and won’t blame Abdullah for such an attitude if he served the tea with left hand. However, this is an indication that Abdullah is a genuine and honest Saudi man.

Understand Islam from American Muslims and Arabs Examples:
Sheikh Assim Al hakim ، Dr Muhammad Salah ، Shaykh Abu Usamah At-Thahabi ، Sheikh Shamsi ـ
Dr. Laurence Brown and Dr. Tahir Wyatt, Saajid Lipham, Joe Bradford، Nicholas Pelletier, Yusuf Estes

Hint: every politician that wants to make it anywhere worthwhile has to call them an “ironclad ally,” or “our greatest ally.”
To a rounding applause.
Hint hint: both parties have to parrot the same line! Our greatest ally!

I've just sat and watched all these videos of Saudi Arabia and they are amazing! Thank you for letting the outside world see into a country like this. The hospitality these people show is truly something. It appears to be a nontraditional tourist paradise.

Unfortunately, he has been brain washed by media by 70%.
We welcome you in Saudi Arabia, we are all human beings and we are all children of Adam
We are originally brothers
This series has really made me want to visit Saudi Arabia.
just welcome.
mi casa es su casa 👍🙏

My perspective about Saudi's has changed forever from watching your videos on this country. They are so kind.
