He let me take the food and said pay next time. Mind you, I had only been there a couple times before so he didn’t really know me. I still appreciate that sir!
Interesting! There is a middle eastern restaurant around the corner from me (close to Vancouver, BC) and they offer meals to the homeless people that all the other restaurants in the area treat as dirty and annoying. They don't even make eye contact with them as they shoo them away. This restaurant is a hard working family and a blessing to our community. They welcome everyone.

As a retired L.E.O. I want to thank this officer for speaking out on our behalf. What a hero. My husband lost his life to PTSD 7 years ago after witnessing the worst of humanity for 30 years as a police officer and Sergeant. He had been retired for 6 months when he died. We had been neighbors since I was 11. People never know what police officers do until they need one. Thank you, for this interview. Your determination and understanding is priceless. I pray for his safety and well being for doing this interview. God bless.🙏🏻❤️🇺🇸👮
Or maybe he "lost his life" because he was beating himself up for being a beta unable to control his wife? That's why he didn't mind you having "guy friends," giving other guys hugs, or taking selfies with Black male teenagers like some desperate trollop.
@@Tox1cAshes If you have to ask, any explanation will likely go over your head. It's common knowledge that married middle-aged White women, especially female cops, enjoy "burning the coal" (so to speak) with males half their age. Remember those Hillsborough County Sheriff's Deputies (Florida) who went to that Black teenager's graduation ceremony after he accidentally collided into their vehicle? Well, the cover photos on the articles covering the incident showed him wrapping his arm around both of their _waists_ . If they're willing to let a guy young enough to be their son wrap his arm around their waists when they don't even let their boyfriends/husbands do that, then it says a lot. The same goes for an unusually high number of married middle-aged female high school/middle school teachers. They're all a bunch of desperate trollops milking the taxpayer. Whenever their male co-workers hug a female student, it's considered "creepy" and the male teacher is placed on administrative leave and investigated by the D.A. Yet whenever a married female middle school or high school teacher hugs a male student, it's "motherly." There's a reason so many males leave teaching and the misandrist double standard mentioned above has much to do with it.

It is impressive his view of the Country. I'm also an immigrant, moved here not long ago, and I'm building my life, and have a beautiful family. I'm proud of this country, I love this country, and I'm a proud American Citizen.
This cop polices his own community. That is the difference. Most other parts of the country dosnt operate like this. I'd his family lived in some of the places I have been. His teenage children would be abused and pulled over all the time.

Same - the Amish content drew me in - I'm staying for the rest. He has that way of being approachable and respectful which allows people to let their guards down just enough
And by the way, US can be great at some things, but I don't agree with the opinion of that guy talking about Europe. Yes you live at one of the best countries, Switzerland. Greetings!
I honestly don't like commenting on video's but that restaurant owners perspective in life is how everyone should honestly be living. Always think about the people or countries in much more worse situation than us, embrace what we have and focus on the good in the bad. Peter, I absolutely love your work mate.
Originally from Dearborn and it makes me so happy to see you interviewing these guys. When I moved out of state, where I was, people had no experience with Muslims or middle eastern people. I was really surprised to hear that they thought it was scary where I was from. Most people I know from Dearborn/greater Detroit area have views like these guys do. I feel fortunate to have grown up in a place with people from all different backgrounds. For sure everyone doesn’t necessarily live in completely diverse neighborhoods, but you go to school and church and work with all different types of people and I definitely miss it. Grateful for you showing real people’s views and letting people express what they think and feel. Also- making your car into an art piece is definitely a greater Detroit thing! Makes me feel nostalgic seeing that.
I agree.. Even if I feel like I'm not from Earth at all but am some sort of spirit from another dimesion that for some reason ended up here for now.. And I feel homesick often.. But yes. In my case, maybe having a diverse family from different parts of the world attributes to that feeling for me. My mom too, always used to say she was a an Earthling and her passport didn't mean anything. She was also born under one nationality and ended up with a different one.. But she remained the same person under either.
That officer is down to earth. He speaks the truth. Cops are still people like anybody else. I respect guys who knows how to use their authority correctly, explain the true struggles they go through in their job, and don't let corrupt social media get the best of them. We need more cops like him. I'm bit surprised they didn't mention Canada, as that country is probably even more peaceful than US. The guy who had that SUV, man, that is one of the craziest modified vehicles I've ever seen yet. Great video!
It’s not as great as it seems. I had to get a pcr test there and the cost was $200. I’ve had at least 5 pcr tests in the US and never once was charged anything. We have better resources here for healthcare. Not to say there isn’t problems here it’s just that the grass isn’t greener over there.
Great interview. You could completely remove the Iraqi aspect, and it still holds up on it's own merit. As the son of a retired cop, I can definitely confirm that the choice to join law enforcement is a lifestyle, not a job, and it involves the entire family, not just the sworn officer. Keep up the great work/content Peter!
Is joining the Marxist Communist Union also part of lifestyle? I just don't understand how a free Capitalist country like America can be controlled by a bunch of Marxists and Communists since trade union theory was literally founded by Karl Marx in his Communsit Manifesto! Can you explain why every cop doesn't quit the Union to become Capitalist? Why do they all choose Communism?
I want to point out that there are many great countries in the world, greater and better than America. People talk about Freedom in America. There are many other countries that have Freedom, a REAL Freedom. Now Women in America are less free than women in countries like Canada, UK, France, Spain, Norway, Finland, Denmark, Czech Republic, Slovak Republic, Sweden, Switzerland... I have traveled and I know people from those countries. Those countries have REAL democracy. Just look at the voting system in America. NOT democratic at all. If you don't have democracy, you don't have freedom.
I lived in Egypt for six years and loved my life in Cairo and Alexandria. What these men say however is true. When I came back to the USA, I really appreciated the way things seem to work here in so many ways and I have never forgotten the wonderful Egyptian people and how hospitable they were to me.
I've been there 2 times. The first time was a month before Sept.11, 2001. The prejudices/perceptions Americans have against "others" ( due to government and media manipulation of Americans )....is ridiculous. I still have friends there, whom I communicate with, daily. You are absolutely correct, about our freedoms....and their longing to see other places.
Loved traveling to Egypt but definitely made me appreciate USA. Something as simple as traffic flow is crazy and out of control there. Beautiful people and food though.
As a Criminal Justice major, soon to be a graduate earning that degree, I really found this interview highly interesting and eye opening. I enjoyed the emotion that Hussain showed throughout this interview. From watching this, I feel like he is a good cop but more importantly a great person. Good cops like him are why I still have hope in my career choice.
How come there are no private Capitalist policing agencies? How come there all public Communist unions? Why is that allowed to exist in a free Capitalist country like America?
He is a great cop! I did a ride along with him back in 2021! And it was amazing!- I am going to the police academy in January, and he’s one of the people why I want to become a Police Officer. Great people like him makes a huge difference in the community! Best of luck buddy!
I believe he's a good cop but I didn't find it particularly eye opening. All cops say pretty much the same stuff. He does not seem particularly introspective. Takes it for granted that America is the best place to live when, in reality, that isn't the case at all. I'd think anyone who watches this channel has picked up on that by now, certainly anyone who actually travels. It's probably better than Iraq but that's a low bar.

Peter, I am a retired LEO from a major city in Texas. 26 years on the job and been retired 11. This gentleman without a doubt is one of the best representatives of law enforcement you will find. He is not afraid to speak the truth. Its unfortunate that in todays society people like him are being forced out of the law enforcement profession through the efforts of the defund the police movement and associated activists. I have tremendous respect for those still willing to put everything on the line for us to keep us safe. As far as comparing Switzerland to the US as a place of bests. Everything has to be compared in context. If you are poor and starting from the ground floor you have the potential to do much better for yourself in the USA. That's why people from all over the world will risk their lives to come to America. they are not doing that to go to Switzerland.,........
As a Canadian …. I agree with your assessment. I graduated with a diploma in computer programming in June 2000 here in Canada. I couldn’t find a job for 1 year. I applied to the 3 places in the US (Chicago, Dallas, Washington DC) in Sept. 2001 I got a call from 2 of the places the next day for a telephone interview, and the process was underway for going down for interviews in Chicago & Dallas which THEY were paying for!! But alas September 11 derailed the whole process. In the US, you’ll get a chance to prove yourself. If Canada is dependent on connections and being tough to crack into I can just imagine the rest of the World.
What an amazing outlook on life he has. Not only as a LEO, but as a member of his community and as a Human Being. I’m sure that we can all learn something from him…

@@Lizard1582 that’s not true. The US government/military have a long history of manipulating news and media for propaganda purposes. Just look at some old movies or cartoons from the WW2 era. Look up operation mockingbird, when the CIA tried to manipulate news media for propaganda purposes during the Cold War. They cultivated relationships with journalists to disseminate anti-Russian propaganda, to try to influence public opinion. We see the same things going on today with the reporting on the war in Ukraine, among other narratives and agenda’s being pushed. Hell look at how they report on Trump, vs how they report on Biden. The whole purpose of having liberal news agencies and conservative news agencies is to influence what we think and believe. If you watched more than one source of news you would see that immediately.
I bet my son who is an NYPD in Queens NY would speak to you. Also my son in law retired NYPD who was a first responder 9/11. He’s retired to NC. They cannot do their jobs properly. Also a friend who is NYPD was sprayed with chemicals and a Molotov cocktail thrown at his police vehicle. My kid has 4 years left. As a mom I worry terribly every time he puts his uniform on. Godspeed to all of them.
Don’t you remember stop and frisk? NYPD literally used a policy, for years, that directly violated our fourth amendment. They would stop people on the street, and search them, for no reason whatsoever. That is unconstitutional and was ruled so by the Supreme Court. They’re not allowed to stop and frisk but they often still do. The NYPD is corrupt and dirty, they always have been. Maybe your son doesn’t do those things, but just being apart of it means you’re contributing to the to the problem.
@@Fitz710 stop and frisk was initiated after the 9/11 attacks. There are corrupt people in every profession and some people should never be handed a badge and gun. Sounds like you were a victim in some way. If so that should never happen again to anyone.

It's not actually as rare as you'd think. Msm just doesn't like showing these interactions. I've lived in small towns and bigger cities all over this great country and have had and seen similar interactions. When I lived in a town on the west coast I used to sit down and have a beer regularly with cop who pulled me over a few times. My dad also worked on a lot of the police forces Harleys and they wrote him a bunch of tickets. One cop who's Harley was being worked on by my dad stopped by in his patrol car and let me sit in the driver seat with a beer in my hand for a picture.
Great video Peter! I was born in Dearborn, and my family has lived there for two generations. We NEED cops like Hussain on the streets. You can tell how much he loves his profession and how he strives to make a positive impact daily. I have lived in Spain, the Netherlands, and Estonia, all countries with a fairly high standard of living, but the US is still my home. There's a strong sense of community and optimism that's lacking elsewhere.

A lack of spiritual maturity and false desires form false structures that akin to the Tower Of Babel will soon crumble in the dust. Thus, structures in society and govt policies that are rooted in evil do cause many challenges for the individual, so finding a way out is not so easy, although I agree, the Light is the only way to liberate oneself from all imprisonments and entrapments of a crook society. Capitalism, and the greed and oppression that it stems from and causes, is just one wrong way in which mankind have been captured by the darkness. And to some extent, there will be mitigating circumstances for some of these individuals, who have been hoodwinked and abused by leaders who will be called to account for the many souls that they have enslaved and endangered, for the time is nigh for complete change, and for man to live in the commandments of the Lord. To live in his laws will mean changes in every aspect of our lives.@@SnailHatan

People who hate America should just speak to an immigrant. I had an hour long conversation with an immigrant one day and it was basically the same things this man was saying. America is the best for opportunity. They love this country so much.
The problems are relative. Yes, the US may fare better than other countries (subjectively), but that does not mean to disregard the problems that Americans face within their own country. Things are not perfect and things need to grow and change. This has been a trending theme before recorded history; out with the old, in with the new. That being said, many immigrants will find opportunities in the US that they otherwise may not have had the chance to find elsewhere.

Or maybe he "lost his life" because he was beating himself up for being a beta unable to control his wife? That's why he didn't mind you having "guy friends," giving other guys hugs, or taking selfies with Black male teenagers like some desperate trollop.
@@ruslanibragimov4991 wtf? Where did that come from?
@@Tox1cAshes IKR? :)
Yet whenever a married female middle school or high school teacher hugs a male student, it's "motherly."
There's a reason so many males leave teaching and the misandrist double standard mentioned above has much to do with it.

Originally from Dearborn and it makes me so happy to see you interviewing these guys. When I moved out of state, where I was, people had no experience with Muslims or middle eastern people.
Since he’s Iraqi, his words hold more weight. It’s important.
I want to point out that there are many great countries in the world, greater and better than America. People talk about Freedom in America. There are many other countries that have Freedom, a REAL Freedom.
I’d go to Switzerland but they aren’t defunding the police they’re increasing police budgets actually. You’ve just been lied to.
The problems are relative. Yes, the US may fare better than other countries (subjectively), but that does not mean to disregard the problems that Americans face within their own country. I was born in Syria and grew up in the states all though I was very young when we left Syria the bad memories will always be with me. 🇺🇸 has its issues but it's 100% better. Just the opportunities we have from education, be coming a business owner, not having the military come to your home and TAKE the oldest son to serve in the military for free, hearing bombs going off and a few days later the kids are running around playing inside those same buildings, I could go on...
Much respect Peter
When did you leave? What age were you
I am syrian as well
I love the different perspective you show on your videos. Certain media outlets seems to just portray the world one way.
I might not travel as much as I would love to but I am grateful for content creators such yourself. They provide us with the birds eye view that some of us might not be able to see.
This officer should teach community policing next on his evolving life. Thanks for your positivity and love for America!
Thank you Peter and your guests. This was an incredible video to watch. Everyone needs to share this video and watch it!
Why share this video .. did yo listen to this cop he is all about victimless so called crimes traffic code he says there are to many guns thats anti American 2ndAmendment . Its good he has the power .. watch this again think it through
Peter i was a corrections officer he is right all police officers need to start out as correctional officers. you will learn real quick that the most important weapon any officer has is interpersonal skill how do you talk to people. you need to deescalate the situation you are going into. we did not carry weapons in prison but guess what the inmates are armed with home made weapons. you need to interview a correctional officer sometime and find out what goes on in prisons.
Respect to these Iraq Gentlemen! Lots of love from EIRE 🇮🇪 ❤ These are exactly the type of people you want living in any Country
CNN, CNBC, FOX could learn some things from you. Awesome vid, thak you for your work!
These channels do what they do deliberately, cause their masters thrive on lies, deception and creating hate between all groups
Your content is amazing Peter, love your bold, unapologetic approach to diving deeper!
No. 1 lesson: Let them do their job. What a lovely and grounded person. Thank you!🙏🏻 Keeping that American value alive.😮💖✨
Awsome video! Im from Dearborn and have to say thank you for taking time to explore these great cities in Michigan! A lot of misconceptions get thrown around about southeast MI and Detroit in particular but all in all like anywhere this is a great place to live with incredible diversity. Btw not sure if it was mentioned but the restaurant you were eating at is Arbeel Kabob which is hands down one of the best Iraqi restaurants in metro Detroit!
Love the videos! Recently came across your videos about Hasidic Jews. I just moved to a neighborhood 30 min north of Dearborn and I have many orthodox Jewish neighbors. Seeing them everyday being diligent in their faith has made me a better Christian. Putting ourselves in groups is the worst thing we can do. Thank you so much!
Love this! Awesome... I find that I have more in common with these folks than I do many other Americans these days. Very, very cool. So happy to be able to share this with my son.
Great content Peter! Telling it how it is! Loving the Muslim series!
How what is one dumb cop ?
Amazing!! I love everything he said! People don’t appreciate what they have in this country because they have not traveled the world to see.
Zil Zal was like "Do you wanna drive or I'll drive" 😄
Man O Man! as an Iranian I can say that nothing beats the hospitality of us middle-easterns... specially my Arab brothers💚
I salute this officer! Thank you for what you do, and thanks to Peter we can get this important perspective
“When you call the cops it’s the worst day of your life” He’s so right. I’m so grateful for our officers. I’ve been in that position before, thank you for running TO the danger to help others.
Tough look after Uvalde. Too bad none ran to the danger to save children 😔
Agreed, in fact that is one of main reasons I have considered being a 911 dispatcher. I want to help others at their worst.
@@JaneofArc I considered that as well but I feel like it would be too much for me. I have a couple of friends who do that and sometimes it’s very hard.
@@katherinereynolds3659 100% agree. I have a really soft heart for others and it would be hard not to take it home with me for sure. I would be thinking about them all the time. I handle a crisis pretty well when it's happening, but I think it would be hard on my heart long term.
@@JaneofArc I feel the same way!
I’ve always said this to people in my community
“Y’all don’t know how good y’all got it here till you travel and see how other people live ,America is the greatest “
My Dad used to say “i n Puerto Rico even the dogs are American and we should be proud to claim it and scream it from the top of the highest hill”
He migrated here and picked blueberries
went to Vietnam and was proud to defend the red white and blue
A great video, as usual. Interesting to hear the respect and appreciation for being in the US. We should appreciate the value of others who add to the fabric of America.
Really enjoyed your interview with the police officer. That was super interesting. We appreciated getting to hear what he had to say. And we enjoyed the interview last week with Fidel as well, a very kind man. Thank you Peter. We can't tell you how much we look forward to your video each week, no matter where you go and who you interview! It is always so interesting and we learn so much. What we really love the most is how kind, honoring and respectful you are of all peoples.
This Cop is a great Guy and just explained things the right Way! Big Respect !
My greatest respect for this officer. We need more people like him.
