I love the way these videos are made. Just showing what is happening there without any judgement or personal opinion of how things should be. What a treat to watch these videos.
We need more raw footage like this instead of the chopped up propaganda you get from other channels (especially self proclaimed "news" field reporters)
I love your vlogs about Saudi. Even though I am a Saudi but through your videos I see my country from different perspectives. Again welcome to Saudi Arabia 🇸🇦❤️🇺🇸
Mohammad Ahsan There’s nothing wrong in here. Keep it to yourself please. Saudis want to live modern lifestyle and develop their country. I am assuming you’re not Saudi, so you wouldn’t understand.
@@MrSamshy modern will destroy remaining identity left and you're thinking it's good, the only way of ISLAM can save us... but now you're going towards modern world so you'll not understand bro, may ALLAH protect us
Mohammad Ahsan You can be modern and religious if you want. There should be no contradiction. Everyone should live the life he/she chooses. If you think you shouldn’t do something, then don’t do it. You can’t force everyone live the way of the life you only want. It doesn’t make sense. If you read history you would see extremism lead to destruction. Being open to people is a way share your belief, promote your lifestyle, or philosophy of life. Just a question, how do you think religion of Islam spread? I’ll answer. It’s by logic and being open to respectful to others. For sure not being scared from other captures. Some people will like it and follow it. Others would not buy it.
@@MrSamshy Islam can spread with the help of right Islamic teaching & rules or if required a strict action so we should go on extreme level, Muslim countries get a lesson of last 70 years & still we're not good for modern world countries & never possible they don't accept us good on any cost 🙏🙏
How I love and miss that city Abha.I lived and worked there for 8 years at King Khalid University. As I watch this video it takes me back down to memory.Shukran Kateer Peter!
I am addicted to your Saudi series. Despite considering myself well travelled Saudi Arabia always felt like somewhere cold and forbidden. Now I can't wait to plan a trip, everyone you met seems lovely and the landscape there is stunning.
🇸🇦❤️Here's the thing : 🔸 traveling to saudi will be perfect if you have a local with you because tourism is new to the country so you will not find alot of information about the best places 🔸saudi people go out side in night and usually go to a family gathering or restaurant & the malls but places like you visit people go to it in summer vacation when people in riyadh and jeddah come to abha to visit there family or to enjoy a good weather 🔸 there no homeless in saudi but you will see a lot of refugees selling stuff or asking for money 🔸 most people who work in local markets are not Saudi so you wouldn't know the culture of the city or the real local from these markets because it's diversified
Red Moon no that not what i mean , what i was saying that some people go to local market to get to know about the people from the country he visited but for saudi and most golf countries you will not find them in local markets
mazdak sheytunak you can find tourists guides in this link just choose the city and see what the best for you www.saudiseasons.sa/en/pages/tours.aspx?season=9 For the best places: - al-ULA / were you will see madain salah and elephant mountain ( it's best to visit the end of jan- feb) there will be a lot of activities ig@winterattantora - riyadh /edge of the world & diryah old town There other places but right now they are closed for constructing
Hello Peter, I am a Saudi who has been across the kingdom for different reasons, my roots comes from the Prophet Muhammad PBUH from makkah but I lived in many cities around. 1. Abha is the summer getaway for Saudis and Gilf people. 2. During summer, it will be difficult to put your foot on the ground due the crowd! 3. Culture in Abha is completely different from Riyadh, usually south has it's own scents all around the world ! 4. Downward Abha there is Jizan, which has another different culture and sight seeing! There is Farsan island, but you need to get on the ferry around 5am. 5. Let's know your plans after Abha, so we can show you around ! I am currently in Dammam/Khobar and live there, it will interesting to do dunes bashing and bbq these days ..
Asalamalaikum warahmatullah! Allahuma sali ala Muhammedin wa ali Muhammed ! May Allah bless you my brother in Islam and your blessed lineage , I love you for the sake of Allah ! I pray that Allah swt blesses you and keeps you steadfast on the deen and allows you to radiate the light our beloved prophet Muhammed and be a source of goodness for mankind !

I suggest to just hit the taif road......it is dotted with quaint villages, beautiful mosques, farms and mountains....the beautiful weather is a cherry on top....

yar tecta i am Saudi and i met many Iranian people abroad, i never came across an Iranian person with no good spirit , i wish one day i can meet Iranians in Iran and explore the country.
Hassan Khalid not possible if the mullahs in Iranian government are determent on spreading islamic revolution and expanding their territory by creating religious militias all across the middle east, Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Yemen...etc. Islamism is the issue here and the Iranian government is actively involved.
We do not hate the Iranian people. But we hate the Iranian government's policy, and perhaps because of it, war will come Iran has destroyed many in Iraq, Syria and Yemen, interfering in Lebanon and other Arab countries, financing armed groups and embracing Al-Qaeda leaders wanted in Saudi Arabia. Saudi Arabia is the country of Mecca and Medina, the Messenger, Muhammad, the Companions, the house of the Prophet Muhammad, Ali, Hassan, Hussein, etc. .. It is natural that all Muslims love Saudi Arabia.
Thanks for the fascinating series and greetings from Southern California! Equally as interesting are all the comments you’ve aroused. Keep them coming.
Hi interesting video - in the 1970’s I used to drive from Jiddah to Taif, Abha, Khamis, Najran and Jizan. No hotels, no road in some place, fascinating but always welcomed by the locals.
We Love Americans! don't hesitate to ask and introduce your self, Saudi's love and are so excited to see people come visit Saudi Arabia especially that's it's something new to us! I'm currently studying in the US and I'm happy to see someone visiting my beloved home country! I miss it!!

Great video. It's amazing seeing foreigner point of view . I’m a Saudi women yet I never been to Abha but I heard the monkeys are friendly and every one who went to Abha always go to the mountain and cook there, camp and feed the monkeys. It's exam period right now in Saudi.. That's why no one out plus Saudi people go out during the night because of the weather . Good luck.

By the way Peter, I am from suadia Arabia but I haven't been to it for 2 years exactly because I am studying In the UK and i know i will find things different which is why i love watching your videos as i can see what the place is like so i don't be surprised.
as You're in Abha, Please visit Al-Farasan Island (which is in Jazan, more south, 200 kms from Abha). Also you can visit Al-Baha, Bisa road (north from abha). You'll experience something different in this section). If you can, PLEASE, visit especially al-u'la and turaif. It’s something worthy I believe.
Hello Peter, what caught my attention is your Iranian followers, as they are, as usual, a classy, open-minded, peace-loving people who take the initiative to salute the Saudi people. This made your Saudi followers greet them as well, but with caution and in order to gain respect as well, so that it is not only from the Iranian side. Well the important thing is that this is a good thing.respect to you and to all your followers .
@4:03 if you look closely at the door 🚪 it has 2 hinges the one on the right is for male guests and when it knocked the man of the house opens the door, the smaller hinge is for females to knock and when they do, the woman of the house opens it
I love the whole southern region. I first visited Abha in August, 2002 and most recently in June of 2019. It has drastically developed over the years. You should have seen that place in summer, especially after the last Eid. It was crawling with people! Trust me, you were way better off having the whole place to yourself.
Thank you for sharing your amazing Saudi Arabia experiences. My views have been challenged and I'm more convinced than ever that politics divides people.

Love seeing these videos that actually show the landscapes and people. Most of the time, governments dont actually represent the people (America as well) and we people tend to have more in common than not. We all want to be happy. Bless you all
Hi Peter , keep up these interesting fascinating videos, you have an amazing personality /energy . That you can just get along with everyone from all parts of the world, from the rough areas of LA, to the South Bronx, Hasidic community, and Saudi Arabia, etc. Has there ever been a time you felt scared venturing alone in certain areas? May god bless you and protect you on your journeys thru life and continuing to make these fascinating videos of simple common people for the viewer to see and learn. Your videos are better than many movies/documentaries lol. One can learn so much about someone’s culture thru your videos more than one can learn in any school setting!
I am watching your Saudi Arabia series. It's helping me understand the Saudi students at the English school (in USA) where I work. Fascinating! I I love in the first video how you described that feeling of the first 24 hours in a new place when your psyche is adjusting to so much being different. Video 2 helped me understand my students - what life might be like for some of them - how fast KSA is changing. Video 3 was good fun, congrats on finding the female driver willing to be videoed in that short time. I knew you would. Now I'm on Video 4. How you describe the joy of the unknown when traveling is great. The art studios reminds me of similar where I live. Maybe it's a holiday or holy day?? Your commenting about the U.S. car and whatever else you see - curiosity! I relate to that, and it helps me be good at my job. Appreciating your curious nature and your sharing your adventures!
Lived and worked in Saudi for 5 years. The mystery never ends. It's a place where you would feel at home in a mysterious way. Can't really explain. I really appreciate these vlogs
This is one of the best vlogs I saw in a long time .. I was in tears laughing in some parts of it .. I know it wasn't really comidic but your reactions and pure and utter lack of comprehension of Saudi social behaivour is comedy gold for any Saudi .. Loved your attitude and the attitude of all the people you met .. FYI Saudis are nocturnal creatures .. its too hot to go out in daytime .. Super Like!
Whoa I work before in Saudi Arabia when I watch your vlog I miss abha and Riyadh I have amazing experience in Saudi Arabia I LOVE SAUDI ARABIA ❤️❤️❤️ From: Philippines 🇵🇭
Unfortunately there’s a lot of historic amazing things around the kingdom that you didn’t see, maybe meeting up with local tour guides would’ve been a good idea
what i love about these videos is that the guy is spontaneous! he'd just go anywhere n ask random dudes what to do :D :D :D that is actual tourism ! love the vids mate. keep em coming!!!
You are so respectful, yet so reasonably critical where it's fitting. You are making any travel show look fake, haha. I'm loving it! Got a loooot of catching up to do. Let's binge watch this channel!
The reason why no families anywhere is because we’re almost in the final exams for schools and universities in this time of year.. it’s not a season at all
Since you’re in Saudi peter you will be more than welcome dude, we ain’t hate anyone for no reason if you respect Saudi we will respect you more. Welcome to Saudi and I hope you enjoy your time out there ( if you planning to come to Taif city I’m there dude ).
Welcome to my city abha,I hope that you have a good time here, you can visit a lot of beautiful places like alsudah and It is better to visit it at sunset, and high city in night, and al rashid mall, and that’s it enjoy your time ♥️
This is such a fascinating journey. In the states, our malls are dying. Our cities--even the shining ones on the hill, home to some of the world's richest men, face staggering problems-especially Seattle, Portland, San Francisco and Los Angeles. So to contrast this with newly accessible Saudi Arabia is hard to reconcile. The name brands that once populated our (now abandoned) malls have gone global. I pray Saudi Arabia has a better experience as its a beautiful country, full of loving people, who certainly could teach us all a few lessons on being kind to strangers.
Peter, great videos. I am from the UK and lived in Riyadh for 3 years and the USA for 5. It has changed so much since I have left and your videos really make me want to go back and take it all in again. It certainly is a country that overwhelms your senses, more so for me now as the pace of change you showed in the country is rapid. I’m looking forward to watching your Iran videos next; that’s a place I’d love to see! Great work and thanks for taking the time to share all this. 👍🏻
Will I’m living in Abha and there’s a many of beautiful places you didn’t see,and most people coming out in the night so I think you should go out after 9pm good luck🖤🖤.
I love doors from that area of the world. Really enjoying your videos. Already traveled to Amish world with you, and Alaska and now Saudi. Great job sharing these people with us and showing respect and curious interest.
Sorry for judging you before, as i continuo to watch your vlogs it seems to me I misread your intentions at first. So I apologize. I will gladly answer some of your questions. As an american you dont have to be afraid to say where are you from, cuz we really dont have a problem with America as a country in the first place, even if there is people who are against American politics, they don’t have a problem with the people. As you said its encourage for you to say it. They will gladly help you with what ever u need. its just a lie and a propaganda that been promoted by the media. So don’t worry (thats goes for everybody not just Americans) Secondly. Usually you can approach a fully covered women its not a problem just don’t get too close for comfort and be all in her space. Third. We actually don’t have homeless people but we obviously have poor people last I checked its at 12.3%. most of them are not saudis but refugees. So yeah i hope I helped u a little bit. U always welcome to comeback 🙏🏼 peace.
People in Saudi Arabia seem to be after 4 pm in the morning everyone is busy so you have to know the right time to visit anywhere second you should visit the residents inside their homes will be very very happy in Saudi Arabia
I grew up in Saudi as a child when my father worked there. This was in Medina to be exact. At the time, there was never really the inspiration to visit places like this, The Edge of the World, Midun Saleh, or others. Because of that, I was never aware that they even existed. All I remember were religious sites and a diverse expat community working there. Now living in the US, I didn't think much of Saudi, but visiting places in Southwest US does bring back some nostalgia of it. Watching videos like yours and other early tourists to the country however, I am inspired to visit there again and explore the places I missed out on during my childhood, or even take an expat work assignment there if the opportunity is found... all for the exploration and experience. It seems like KSA has a lot of untapped economic resources which they have been recently been progressing on, and that includes tourism, a young educated population, and women's rights.

There’s nothing wrong in here.
Keep it to yourself please. Saudis want to live modern lifestyle and develop their country. I am assuming you’re not Saudi, so you wouldn’t understand.
@@MrSamshy modern will destroy remaining identity left and you're thinking it's good, the only way of ISLAM can save us... but now you're going towards modern world so you'll not understand bro, may ALLAH protect us
Mohammad Ahsan
You can be modern and religious if you want.

Thanks for coming along :)
@Dangerous Mega Encounters
Have you been? Why do you say that
🇸🇦❤️Here's the thing :
🔸 traveling to saudi will be perfect if you have a local with you because tourism is new to the country so you will not find alot of information about the best places
🔸saudi people go out side in night and usually go to a family gathering or restaurant & the malls but places like you visit people go to it in summer vacation when people in riyadh and jeddah come to abha to visit there family or to enjoy a good weather
🔸 there no homeless in saudi but you will see a lot of refugees selling stuff or asking for money
🔸 most people who work in local markets are not Saudi so you wouldn't know the culture of the city or the real local from these markets because it's diversified
You said everything i was going to say 👍🏻👍🏻
H H
So you’re saying that saudis are hot shit and they are above of working in the market !!! Lol what kind of layback mentality is that 🤔
Red Moon no that not what i mean , what i was saying that some people go to local market to get to know about the people from the country he visited but for saudi and most golf countries you will not find them in local markets

Hello Peter,
I am a Saudi who has been across the kingdom for different reasons, my roots comes from the Prophet Muhammad PBUH from makkah but I lived in many cities around.
I pray that Allah swt blesses you and keeps you steadfast on the deen and allows you to radiate the light our beloved prophet Muhammed and be a source of goodness for mankind !
what proof do you have that your roots come from prophet muhammad pbuh??

Hassan Khalid not possible if the mullahs in Iranian government are determent on spreading islamic revolution and expanding their territory by creating religious militias all across the middle east, Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Yemen...etc. Islamism is the issue here and the Iranian government is actively involved.
We do not hate the Iranian people.
But we hate the Iranian government's policy, and perhaps because of it, war will come
Iran has destroyed many in Iraq, Syria and Yemen, interfering in Lebanon and other Arab countries, financing armed groups and embracing Al-Qaeda leaders wanted in Saudi Arabia.
Saudi Arabia is the country of Mecca and Medina, the Messenger, Muhammad, the Companions, the house of the Prophet Muhammad, Ali, Hassan, Hussein, etc. .. It is natural that all Muslims love Saudi Arabia.

So don’t worry (thats goes for everybody not just Americans)
Secondly.
