Very interesting dilemma, as someone who bought the game when it came out in 2014 I didn’t know this was something new fans were going through. I definitely agree with your solution to add it to Shovel of Hope. I hope this gets resolved so people can play this amazing part of Shovel Knight!
I had no idea there was so much confusion. I kickstarted, got on PC. Played OG campaign, then now years later got physical Switch copy to replay and do all DLC. Great game.

I feel like this video could’ve been cut in half, I was confused the first bit, but once I understood the problem I was on your side. I actually was just looking up videos on Shovel Knight as I beat the original years ago & wanted to beat the other knight’s stories, so thank you! I hope they fix this soon, or if not people see your vid before buying
Both times I got the game, I got Treasure Trove due to becoming a fan way after all of this happened, so I never got to see this side of the fandom. Crazy shit honestly, and pretty saddening. Also King Knight losing to his own mom is too perfect.
I find it funny that in the theoretical Mega Man situation you specifically chose Mega Man 2 as the game that would get excluded. Because let's be honest, if it was something like 5 that got cut, some people would still get mad, just... way less of them. Overall, great vid as always, realized I wasn't subscribed and immediately fixed my mistake.
The description mentions possibly deleting the video of this ever gets fixed. I don't think you should. I think the video should stay up as a documentary of sorts.
The solution might sound simple like putting PoS as free DLC to SoH buyers... but then YCG is going to get the backlash of players who forfeited the money to get Treasure Trove. It was a bad decision not to have PoS downloadable for free with SoH from when SoT came out. If they go back and make PoS a free update tp SoH they might just get some fans going oh cool now I can play PoS.
Adding to how very consumer friendly Yacht Club usually is: I still think about how amazing it is that I got four of these five games completely for free when I bought the initial game. I have never heard of any other developer being so obliging to its customers. I was supplied with quality games for six years after making a single purchase of like 15 bucks in 2014.
I bought the Treasure Trove back when it first released and haven't been too involved with the community outside of simply playing the games, so I honestly didn't even realize Plague of Shadows didn't have a standalone release until watching this. Pretty kookoo bananas yo
this video is three years old and this issue has still not been fixed despite two more shovel knight games being released. they should either release POS as its own game or include it with SOH is YCG feels like its not its own game...
Dang that really sucks. I bought the game when it came out on Wii U, and have always thought it was so crazy generous of them to keep releasing free content updates and had no idea how confusing getting into it for the first time is if you don’t get treasure trove.
I have personally never played a shovel knight game though I am aware of how great of a series it is and will always bring it up whenever there is any type of indie/kickstarter talk. It's a shame that even now in Fall 2022 it still does not have a standalone release.
I got the game on 3DS before PoS released, then later played and _loved_ it. When Spectre of Torment was revealed as a timed exclusive to Switch, I reasoned that I'd probably want to re-play the first two games on the bigger screen anyway so I got Treasure Trove there. As an aside, iirc the item menu on the 3DS touchscreen is especially helpful for the bomb parts in PoS (not played it in 7 years so who knows).
Well done video. I just bought Shovel Knight a week ago and just finished the main campaign Shovel of Hope. Looking forward to playing the other games.
Bought it when it was only shovel of hope in the 3DS with the Amiibo. Completed it, then they made all the other 3 modes and completed them all for free. It was a really good decision to buy the game when it was released. What a game!
As someone who bought the full collection way later because i frankly learned about it later and my parents were iffy about indie develpers as a whole, i didn't know this, fascinating. Thankfully, the treasure trove is so plentiful that buying them individually is unnecessary, thus avoiding the issue.
Something similar-ish happened to me with Witcher 3, I bought the Base Game and the DLC "Hearts of Stone" in 2015, the next year "Blood and Wine" came out, didn't feel like shelling out the money at the time, so I waited, then the "Complete Edition" came out soon after which included the Base Game and all DLC, I didn't want to buy the game again I just needed "Blood and Wine" to complete it. I waited for a sale and the "Complete Edition" went on sale, but the DLC didn't?! the "Complete Edition" on sale cost just as much as the DLC "Blood and Wine" not on sale and I couldn't bring myself to buy it out of basic principal of paying the same price for less stuff. Still annoys me to this day thinking about it, I did end up buying "blood and wine", it went on sale eventually a few years after
Had I been involved with the decision making at the time, I would've urged them to make every campaign standalone right away, and charge what they will for each. However, because they waited so long, and caused so much confusion, I'd say they really can't just "make Plague standalone" now. An apology is required, and that means charging much less or nothing to get Plague for those who have Shovel alone. To that end, my suggestion would be either a free update, or a $2 DLC, for Shovel of Hope. Of course, even if this issue didn't exist, I'd still recommend to anyone thinking about finally seeing what this Shovel Knight thing is about to just get Treasure Trove, and start with the original campaign. If that part doesn't interest you, I doubt the others would, despite being legitimately different experiences. And if it does, then you _are_ going to like the others, again despite being different. Showdown is the one exception to the rule, but even discounting that and Plague, you _at least_ end up paying the same or less overall!
You know, a Tinker Knight Campaign would have actually been really interesting. Compared to the other knights that didn't get a campaign I mean. Because all of the other unused knights would mainly have different movement, but Tinker Knight seems fitted to a completely different type of gameplay around machinery.
I feel like Tinker Knight would be the best choice for the next character, cause the other bosses are are too tall and I don't think the Specter knight treatment will work
I personally like the game I picked up the treasure trove to start with. Got it cheap. I like the game a lot, it's hard but not too hard so that's cool. I should by a standalone to support the developer at least one since I got it 2nd hand.
Yeah I just decided to play shovel knight and instead of just buying it and play it (as most games) I had to google why there wasn't just a "shovel knight" on the eshop, learn about all of the games, the order to play them, about this issue of how you cannot play "Plague of darkness" separately, then saw a sale of Treasure throve for arounf $25 USD and bought it. Yeah ,it was confusing but I'm glad I did it as I loved shovel of hope and am loving plague of shadows at the moment, and can't wait to play the others. #FreePlagueKnight
Great video. As someone who has stayed with Shovel Knight since the beginning and always owned Treasure Trove on every platform I got it on, I never even knew this was an issue.
I swear to god I remember seeing a standalone of plague of shadows on steam. I just checked, turns out it was just blurred memory since the others had a standalone. I will say that I was really confused when I went to purchase shovel knight for the first time since I had no idea what to buy at all.
I think it's the most underrated of all, I mean, the power dash and mobility it's so fun when you know how to use it, and the basic bombs can one shot the bosses in a few of seconds, if you played shovel knight first that makes this just more hilarious 😆😂
It just happened to me, in 2022! PoS is locked behind a 30$ paywall for me because I didn't know. Also, I wanted to see if I will enjoy the games, so I just bought some standalones first. This is insidious and I am pretty saddened :( Great video btw!!
What the heck. I got this game for like what 15 bucks when it was new on wii u?! And then plague of shadows was first of 4! Free dlcs! It was one of the few games that made me turn my head and go, "theyre giving me all THIS!? FOR FREE?" so... plague of shadows deserves more credit. I had fun with it.
i bought it right at the beginning and was always so surprised when an update came out (did not followed the road map) and when I noticed, yes! another one 🎉 until today I love the series. ❤
This is such a helpful and informative video. Thank you got educating me on this topic. I remember clearly that I almost ended up buying shovel of hope a couple of times in the past, but opted to go for Hollow Knight instead haha.
Imma be honest, the plague knight campaign is my least favorite one, while the combat is unique it can get really annoying at times, and with the fact that the levels are so similar to Shovel Of Hope, I just don't like it. Would be much better with more unique levels. I believe it should be a DLC to Shovel Of Hope, because that's what it feels like.
Plague Knight is definitely my favourite now. It's the hardest one to get the hang of, but once you do, it becomes amazing, it feels so good, you have basically unlimited movement options, you can reach every part of the screen, unlike every other character. People who aren't as skilled at video games dislike plague Knight, but out of all of them it's the one that talented players go back to the most
I had already bought Spectre + King of Cards as standalone on Switch and instead of completing it with Shovel of Hope I had to buy the whole $40 on top of the $20 or so I'd already spent. Feels a bit scummy and anti-consumer. I got all the content but had to double dip and rebuy content AGAIN that I already owned
I genuinely had no idea this was an issue, probably cause I played the original back on the 3ds and when the plague was released I immediately used the code to get it (probably one of my favorite campaigns and characters from the 5 games) and got treasure trove once I got the switch. I didn't even know about this issue until now, I'm surprised PoS didn't get a stand-alone, especially after the whole rebrand
My friend actually went through this without realizing it, and also to the comment on the end: I played King of Cards 1st and then Specter, Plague, then Shovel purely for the canonical order
I remember playing shovel night back in 2014 and never playing it again, but recently i said "eh why not" and decided to buy shovel knight to play it again after like 9 years. I was super confused with the standalones at first but thankfully after doing some research i noticed that pos wasnt available in standalone, so i just bought treasure trove hoping id like the game. Thankfully im enjoying shovel knight a lot, definitely one of my favoritr games now and happy i didnt end up buying standalones only to notice a whole campaign was missing.
kinda upset yacht club is further worsening this problem with shovel of hope DX, now there's gonna be three seperate ways to purchase that original campaign and none of them are feature complete. people are gonna have to double dip if they want to experience all the shovel knight content, assuming plague of shadows is still locked to treasure trove, and that just sucks :(
this is an assumption, not confirmed. SoH DX could include PoS, or it could not. We do not know at this time based on the trailer from the Presents, unless they've released a statement about this.
Yeah, dx looks nice but my first reaction to it was "why not just add this stuff to treasure trove?" I guess the reason is because the other campaigns probably wouldn't play very well in coop or with the other characters, but it's so strange to make the full collection bundle thing not have all the content for each game
4:15 second person. third person is when you see yourself via omniscient reader or as a floating none-person. second person is when you view yourself via another person. such as a camera or a watcher that is actually there.
Aww, I knew nothing about Shovel Knight until a few days ago where I had Treasure Trove sitting there. Beyond amazed with how ambitious, silly, and entertaining this game is! I didn’t know those other games were standalones until just now, thought there was more! Had bought Treasure Trove due to its release in 2014 and the others being 2019 on Steam, guess I got a good deal with getting Treasure Trove then!
When I played this game at first I thought it was not too good, but now after complete the four games, I need to say has the best gameplay of them, mostly underrated campaign of all
I think the reason of plague of shadows not being converted into the stand alone version is because when it was made as DLC, it is dependant from the original game campaing shovel of hope, since it recicled and uses most assets, level design and the same engine that was already builded ,coded, and presented on the game, in order to make a stand alone for that specific campaing, they have to remade the whole campaing, assets and engine from scratch cutting the shovel of hope content, but why you wanna buy the almost exactly same game with another character, it's not as expanded as the next ones after it. so the only solution i see it's making it a double pack for shovel of hope alone, like you can purchase the other 3 games as a standole while you can still get shovel of hope along with plague of shadows as standole following the same rule when it was launched, beating the shovel of hope campaing or the cheatcode from 2015, this could avoid a buuunch of problems since that you can enjoy the 5 games either separatly or compiled.
You either didn't watch the whole thing or decided to just poorly reiterate what i said in the video for some reason so either way this comment is very confusing
I got the game around 2015 for 3ds and thankfully i didnt have to deal with this but it does sound extremely annoying to deal with though. Plague is also probably one of my favorite campaigns in the game but i also read somewhere that apparently plague knights campaign wasnt very liked but i dont really remember where.
Its 2023. Still plauge of shadows is still trove exclusive ,... it is likely a treasure trove exclusive to encurage people buying treasure trove instead of stand alone games
I'ms so spechul :) This is something I've always though actually when playing the game. I've bought the pack for Switch but for a while I've considered buying the single ones in case I wouldn't have liked Shovel Knight until I've realized there was no PoS And I wanted to play with that guy, so I suppose I can tell Plague Knight was the actual reason why I bought the pack. And so introduced me to the Shovel Knight franchise And nothing else to say, beside PoS being my favourite campaign at the point I didn't stop playing until I completed it because I wanted to see him get what he deserved. So #FreePlagueKnight (I'm Griffhodie btw for the points thing, but I wanted to comment anyway really good video :D)
I almost sorta got screwed over, it’s a weird story. I saw Shovel Knight and was like oh cool game. I went on my switch and realized Treasure Trove is 40 bucks and said I don’t wanna spend 40 bucks on something I don’t know I’ll like, so I bought stand-alone Shovel of Hope first and loved the game, and. I didn’t wanna spend extra money for the collection so wanted to buy the rest seperately… then I was told Plague of Shadows can only be bought in the collection… but for some reason on the PS Store Treasure Trove was 25 bucks and the price wasn’t increased and then I bought it there…? It was a weird situation but I ended up paying less then I could’ve payed on the switch Treasure Trove.
That's because they raised the price for new players from 25 to 40 when they released king knight and showdown because they were increasing the overall value of the game by a LOT. But new players got the update for free. I guess Playstation hadn't updated the price yet, or maybe it was just on sale
I know this is almost a year old, but considering that Plague of Shadows STILL isn't available independently, part of me thinks that it isn't available independently for a reason. I get that PoS (if you wanna call it that) is quite different from the original game, the latter two were completely new games, which kinda made PoS just seem like a remake of the original with a new character, and currently from a critical standpoint, that's kinda the general consensus. Realistically though, if you're buying Shovel Knight now, you should probably just buy Treasure Trove, it has all the games, it's a better deal than buying them separately, and you get Plague of Shadows as well, so it is the best way to buy them all.
If YCG doesn't want to put in the effort to make a Plague of Shadows standalone they could at least make it to where if you owned Shovel of Hope, Specter of Torment, King of Cards, AND showdown then you could get Treasure Trove for like 10 or 15 bucks, _essentially_ fulfilling the role of a POS (very cool abbreviation) standalone.
since YCG has been treating plague of shadows as a merely a 'tricky alternate quest' to the original (criminally underrating their work in the process), i agree they might be able to justify adding plague of shadows as a free update to the standalone shovel of hope, which would involve ANOTHER rebrand WITHIN an existing rebrand, but it would at least satisfy their weird aversion to releasing all of their content while technically providing a standalone release. which is a shame, because they EASILY could have gotten away with slapping a 9.99 price tag on it right from the start :,)
That's actually how I got into Shovel Knight. My friend bought it on Switch, and I played Deadboy McScythe, and that's all I knew of Shovel Knight until a couple years later
@@BenDaresAll well, I quite liked Corpesy Scythery, fun game with the dash slashes, good music, nice and challenging, 5/5. Shovel Mate had very different level design, and different music, but it was still fun. I was surprised that by the world feeling bigger what with the map and the wandering travelers. Mr. Gangsters Paradise had weird jumping shenanigans and ShoVel's levels, and I didn't like it much. A while later Kek of Cards finally released, and I liked the movement in that, as well as bootleg YuGiOh. Edit: Shit, you asked about the story. I feel like it lends the original Shovel Knight story a little something, knowing the whole time that the enchantress is Shield Knight. It doesn't change much else though
@@denmark1226 yeah, I was wondering how the story felt for you, playing the game almost chronologically (though King Knight was next in the timeline). Oh, I forgot if Shield Knight was shown to be the Enchantress during Specter Knight's campaign.
Honestly, I only ever really cared about the og Shovel Knight so I just went and bought it when it was on sale. And maybe I'll be interested in Pocket Dungeon and Dig (when it comes out).
As someone new to shovel knight and just beat shovels of hope and started plague of shadows i will say the other 2 games might have more original levels but since plague knight plays so differently than shovel knight i love him he is best knight. Edit: i finished them all and still stand by my original point
While I get the sentiment that Plague Knight should just have his campaign sold as a standalone for the sake of not confusing new players, you have to consider the fact that PoS isn't up to par with any of the other 3. Yes, PoS does introduce a handful of new bosses, reworks a few sections of some pre-existing levels, some new music and a new story, the fact that SoH, SoT and KoC all give you brand new levels, with brand new bosses, a brand new soundtrack and a brand new story makes them clearly worth more than PoS. Since PoS offers considerably less content than all of the other campaigns, instead of releasing it as a standalone title, I would make it a DLC for SoH. Oh, and just in case, yes, I've played all 5 games, yes, I know Plague Knight is really fun and has incredible movement and the bombs give you an insane amount of customization, but I'm just saying that it's unfair to price it the same as any of the other campaigns which have so much more content that justifies their price tag
man, i didnt even knew about that, such a shame, i hope that they start working on putting plague back when they finish pocket dungeon because after that the only thing they will have to do is shovel knight dig and dig doesnt look like a priority game yknow,we can only wait
i was going to buy them separate because i didnt wanted showdown, i just dont like it but i gave up on that because if a sale drops by i could maybe get a better deal, but its still a shame for people who already bought one of the separate games
agree, i think the most adequate way to make it available is or being an stand-alone release or as an dlc for shovel of hope, since it is very, very similar to the original game in various aspects
I bought the whole game twice, once on Wii U, because I saw it at Toys-R-Us and thought it looked cool, then again on the switch when I knew more about it, wanted to support the creators, and wanted it on switch
I dunno, When I first heard about shovel knight I directly bought treasure trove, mostly because I didn't knew there were standalone games. And now I just finished shovel of hope after letting it rot in my library for a year, and I highly regret it. Now im going to play the other 4 games!
If you buy them all at once, yeah that's on you, but it's very feasible that someone would buy SoH, play it, want more, and then buy SoT, etc. until they've played and then bought each game
Theoretically, a good reason for selling Specter of Torment on other platforms as a standalone game is for those who JUST want to play Specter of Torment. Say, someone who thinks that they just wanna play that one and none of the others. Just a suggestion
What they could do since its STILL not a thing is that they could add the cheat code back into Shovel of Hope and rename it as a duology. That way nobody misses out on one campaign all because they didn't buy Treasure Trove.
I remember seeing SoH, SoT, and KoC on steam stand alone and just thinking ok so PoS is just part of SoH that's why it's $14.99 not $9.99 but now I'm wondering why is it $14.99
Will my choise was always if you buy the standalones don't spend 40 bucks on plague of shadows it's not worth it in my opinion (for context I have treasure trove and I completed pos 100% both normal story and game +)
it sounds like it should have been an unlockable in standalone Shovel of Hope after beating that, like it was originally when it came out, which i didnt know that until this video. because it would make sense given that it recycles 90% of the main campaign. i had no idea it was locked in the collection. makes me glad i grabbed the collection on Switch since i wanted all the games on there after having played it on the WiiU already.

Dang that really sucks. I bought the game when it came out on Wii U, and have always thought it was so crazy generous of them to keep releasing free content updates and had no idea how confusing getting into it for the first time is if you don’t get treasure trove.
Because. Probably less people realize how hot... I mean, how cool Mona is.
I have personally never played a shovel knight game though I am aware of how great of a series it is and will always bring it up whenever there is any type of indie/kickstarter talk. It's a shame that even now in Fall 2022 it still does not have a standalone release.
I can wholeheartedly recommend Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove. If you get that, you do not need to worry about any standalone games.
Holy crap you're literally me
Well done video.
Ya do bad the 3ds version doesn't have king knight that would have been cool.
@@bland9876 3DS does have King Knight :)
Still annoys me to this day thinking about it, I did end up buying "blood and wine", it went on sale eventually a few years after
I'm currently starting to play Plague of Shadows right after beating Shovel Knight & every wandering traveler for the first time, & so far I love it!
As of writing in 2023, plague of shadows is unfortunately still not on the Nintendo switch Eshop.
insane that this existed, glad I just bought treasure trove by pure chance lol
For sure, that's why i said they should add it to SoH for free in the video
As someone who has stayed with Shovel Knight since the beginning and always owned Treasure Trove on every platform I got it on, I never even knew this was an issue.
wait wtf this is a year old video?
I swear to god I remember seeing a standalone of plague of shadows on steam. I just checked, turns out it was just blurred memory since the others had a standalone. I will say that I was really confused when I went to purchase shovel knight for the first time since I had no idea what to buy at all.
plague is my favorite campaign out of all of them
I think it's the most underrated of all, I mean, the power dash and mobility it's so fun when you know how to use it, and the basic bombs can one shot the bosses in a few of seconds, if you played shovel knight first that makes this just more hilarious 😆😂
Plague Knight is my fav chatacter, I even made his underground base and characters in Warcraft 3 RP map to play as him
It just happened to me, in 2022! PoS is locked behind a 30$ paywall for me because I didn't know. Also, I wanted to see if I will enjoy the games, so I just bought some standalones first. This is insidious and I am pretty saddened :(
Great video btw!!
Plague of Shadows is the best game, story wise talking, it is a shame that it is not given the love it deserves
What the heck. I got this game for like what 15 bucks when it was new on wii u?! And then plague of shadows was first of 4! Free dlcs! It was one of the few games that made me turn my head and go, "theyre giving me all THIS!? FOR FREE?"
so... plague of shadows deserves more credit.
I’m so glad I bought treasure trove without buying any of the others because plague of shadows is in my option the most fun to play
Imma be honest, the plague knight campaign is my least favorite one, while the combat is unique it can get really annoying at times, and with the fact that the levels are so similar to Shovel Of Hope, I just don't like it. Would be much better with more unique levels. I believe it should be a DLC to Shovel Of Hope, because that's what it feels like.
unbased comment
Treasure trove is so good it made me emotional when I finished al the campaigns
Why aren’t they all just purchasable as DLC?
Aww, I knew nothing about Shovel Knight until a few days ago where I had Treasure Trove sitting there.
Beyond amazed with how ambitious, silly, and entertaining this game is!
I didn’t know those other games were standalones until just now, thought there was more! Had bought Treasure Trove due to its release in 2014 and the others being 2019 on Steam, guess I got a good deal with getting Treasure Trove then!
When I played this game at first I thought it was not too good, but now after complete the four games, I need to say has the best gameplay of them, mostly underrated campaign of all
great video, glad to see more plague knight love
You either didn't watch the whole thing or decided to just poorly reiterate what i said in the video for some reason so either way this comment is very confusing
i was watched half ot the video when i made the comment so yeah, i'm dumb :3
I got the game around 2015 for 3ds and thankfully i didnt have to deal with this but it does sound extremely annoying to deal with though. Plague is also probably one of my favorite campaigns in the game but i also read somewhere that apparently plague knights campaign wasnt very liked but i dont really remember where.
Its 2023. Still plauge of shadows is still trove exclusive
,... it is likely a treasure trove exclusive to encurage people buying treasure trove instead of stand alone games
#FreePlagueKnight
Still an issue. They genuinely just need to release plague of shadows standalone or as a dlc for the standalone Shovel of Hope.
I'ms so spechul :)
This is something I've always though actually when playing the game. I've bought the pack for Switch but for a while I've considered buying the single ones in case I wouldn't have liked Shovel Knight until I've realized there was no PoS
And I wanted to play with that guy, so I suppose I can tell Plague Knight was the actual reason why I bought the pack. And so introduced me to the Shovel Knight franchise
And nothing else to say, beside PoS being my favourite campaign at the point I didn't stop playing until I completed it because I wanted to see him get what he deserved.
So #FreePlagueKnight
(I'm Griffhodie btw for the points thing, but I wanted to comment anyway really good video :D)
Only saw this response now but I’m going to guess it was the first option since it didn’t say 25% off or something just on regular the store
"Fan since I was a middle schooler in 2014."
Oh man, flashbacks to watching the PoS ending cutscene on the school bus.
Yacht Club Games is blacklisting Oolong and YOU👇 Gotta help us! In all seriousness, very solid and well spoken video. Excited to see more!
3ds version is pretty good sadly it doesnt have showdown and other features but that is kind of fair for it
As confusing as it is I still find the price worthwhile and fair.
King is king. His design is so dope and he does fancy spins.
Deadboy McScythe! Haha! How was the story experience, playing Spectre Knight first then ... Shovel, Plague and King Knight?
Propeller Rat: This is what you get for turning my brothers into kamikaze!!!
Where the hell have you found a picture of Mona usong a sniper rifle?
man, i didnt even knew about that, such a shame, i hope that they start working on putting plague back when they finish pocket dungeon because after that the only thing they will have to do is shovel knight dig and dig doesnt look like a priority game yknow,we can only wait
i was going to buy them separate because i didnt wanted showdown, i just dont like it but i gave up on that because if a sale drops by i could maybe get a better deal, but its still a shame for people who already bought one of the separate games
agree, i think the most adequate way to make it available is or being an stand-alone release or as an dlc for shovel of hope, since it is very, very similar to the original game in various aspects
Fat dub you're in for a treat
cant believe they did my boy dirty like that :((
Honestly choosing to buy soh, sot and koc separately is just pretty dumb when you can just get the treasure trove
If you buy them all at once, yeah that's on you, but it's very feasible that someone would buy SoH, play it, want more, and then buy SoT, etc. until they've played and then bought each game
Damn, that explains why its so expensive if I want to buy it on pc since it was so cheap on xbox when it was only shovel of hope and plague of shadows
Plague Knight's story is the best one so far........
I agree good video
Theoretically, a good reason for selling Specter of Torment on other platforms as a standalone game is for those who JUST want to play Specter of Torment. Say, someone who thinks that they just wanna play that one and none of the others. Just a suggestion
I was little Timmy
What they could do since its STILL not a thing is that they could add the cheat code back into Shovel of Hope and rename it as a duology. That way nobody misses out on one campaign all because they didn't buy Treasure Trove.
I remember seeing SoH, SoT, and KoC on steam stand alone and just thinking ok so PoS is just part of SoH that's why it's $14.99 not $9.99 but now I'm wondering why is it $14.99
my guess is cuz soh has always been 15
Will my choise was always if you buy the standalones don't spend 40 bucks on plague of shadows it's not worth it in my opinion (for context I have treasure trove and I completed pos 100% both normal story and game +)
it sounds like it should have been an unlockable in standalone Shovel of Hope after beating that, like it was originally when it came out, which i didnt know that until this video. because it would make sense given that it recycles 90% of the main campaign. i had no idea it was locked in the collection. makes me glad i grabbed the collection on Switch since i wanted all the games on there after having played it on the WiiU already.
Here because of Pocket Dungeon and interested in getting into Shovel Knight. Noticed that Plague of Shadows was not in the eShop. Thanks for the explanation.
btw guys just a tip you can get a shovel knight treasure trove for like 12 dollars on websites like eneba
Plague Knight is the best!!!!!!!!
tbh i dont blame them
that pos is smack dab between the soh and sot
>:^)
