I love your content (you always present things in an honest, humble way) and I don't think you putting out a video in a rushed manner would give us a sense that we're taken for granted. Everyone has highs and lows, especially in the creative field. It's great that you're reflecting on this, but truly don't think you should be this harsh on yourself
Hi! (From a 34 year old 😉) watch the friends turning 30 episode, laugh, have some good plans 🍷 , and go with the flow of the 30s. I have definitely been more in tune with myself during my 30s and that can only get even better. Going with the flow and going at your own pace is the biggest sense of freedom. (And learning boundaries and saying no). Also, thanks as always for honesty, your videos and Instagram are the main ways I follow you and I love them both. you are a v rare natural creative soul who seems so effortlessly and beautifully put together. The apartments looking lovely! If you're worried about the noise at some point you could put felt dots on the chair legs or those little chair socks lol when you start your 30's you actually feel quite young again because you're at the bottom of a new age :) 30's are actually nice! the only thing i'm sad about my 30's is that i turned 31 when the pandemic hit, the years trickled away so fast
I really love your videos and tbh even if you only spoke about fashion and nothing personal it would still be amazing! You have really inspired me to feel more comfortable in my own skin by providing me with the space to discover my personal style. I definitely do not want more content, not because I don't like your content but because I know how much work goes into a video and because I want you to have enough time to make videos that you yourself enjoy most of all! I love your content as a 26yo single woman (there are not many of us here on youtube to relate to) and I just enjoy and pull inspiration from watching you living your life. Take your time in making content you enjoy.
My favourite content of yours has always been the outfit and travel videos, so I’d be perfectly happy with outfits videos and suggestions/clips of fun things to do in London/NYC and no personal stuff really! 🙂 That said, if you’re earning enough from other projects/platforms I wouldn’t judge you for stopping UA-cam altogether. Life is too short. I think a lot of reflection comes when you turn 30 and it’s a good time to assess where your life is and where you’d like it to be. Do what’s best for you ❤️

I know I've had days even at my office job when I didn't put in 100% effort or felt burned out by it. Don't worry about the rug thing :) born and raised new yorker here and have lived in enough apartments to know that that is there in all boiler plate contracts but it's truly almost never enforced. They have it in for potential noise control if they have a complaint but I've never had it enforced!

I love how effortless and warm your space is feeling! I also loved what you talked about at the end. Being a content creator must be so strange sometimes. We all have jobs and some are "easier" than others (speaking of, you should check out "There's No Such Thing as an Easy Job" by Kikuko Tsumura if you haven't-it's both incredibly odd and incredibly relatable) but whenever you have a job you can't really step away from, fatigue is inevitable, even if you're spending a lot of your time in beautiful cities having beautiful experiences. You've always seemed like a fun human doing their best to me, and you're always willing to hear your community's feedback. I really appreciate that. I'm glad you're able to parse through what's said in good faith vs what's said out of jealousy and judgment. I sometimes think "Gee, it must be nice-!" I quickly realize that, yeah, it MUST be nice, and what would it say about me to begrudge you that, haha.

As someone who watches your videos to get into to a calm interesting space and exposed to nyc and London life, I would say a majority of your viewers aren’t that scrutinizing (even if it’s constructive criticism) of you, they’re here to see you the good and bad and watch the journey along the way. You’re human and not perfect - don’t worry about it too much everything you’ve created thus far has been amazing and everyone has hiccups. I didn’t even see the video just wanted to help put you at ease with other viewers :) what a great brand that they understand their platforms for advertising (ie humans) are indeed human.

I really hate how viewers have ruined UA-cam and creators’ comfort with sharing. There were many I use to watch who just left UA-cam because people are too much. I totally get it from your end, I would be the same, but as a viewer, they’re ruining it for us to happily watch quietly. Btw, I know you’re not complaining at all about the negative feedback and I think your response has been really gracious, I’m just chiming in from the perspective of a viewer who idly watches videos (ie with my breakfast, getting ready, cleaning etc to keep me company). Not all of us care about high quality content all the time. I get your job is v privileged, but you never complain about it. the flooring is beautiful but older wooden floors are going to make a fair amount of noise no matter how much you think you're being quiet. rugs also help keep general noise contained since they function as a kind of sound insulation. I live on the third floor of an old home and I feel like it's basic courtesy to have rugs down for my neighbors below. (I also think they do enhance a room's look and add warmth and texture.) also, is that liquid spilled on the white table???
I used to live really near Artifacts 20th Century and he would always say I could just pay however many dollars I had on me for certain records and books! Such a nice guy

Hi Lizzy, I haven‘t seen the last video and the comments. But I’d like to take this opportunity to give some feedback. Personally, I feel like your videos are a little bit off for quite some time. Ever since you started traveling and then moved to NYC part time, I don‘t enjoy your vlogs as much as I used to. You often seem to be in a rush and sometimes you don’t seem to be motivated to really engage - on camera - with the things you mention (fashion, books, furniture etc.). For example, you show a pair of shoes quickly and then move on to the next thing. Oftentimes, I would love to know more about your thought on the matter at hand - and not just watch you rush in and out of an apartment. This is of course part of your vlogging style. But it also seems a little bit that vlogging for you right now is something you have to get done for the sponsored contend, without putting too much effort in it. That being said, I totally understand that the UA-cam-lifestyle can be very exhausting and probably a little bit self-alienating. I‘m sure many viewers wouldn‘t mind if you take more time for yourself to find a way in this business that’s right for you.
Dear Lizzy, the very thing I like about your videos is that they are for the most part organic. I still get my dose of lifestyle content, but not every frame is perfectly edited & cut, the white balance might be up or down and the lampshade might not be perfectly aligned. Where I actually want to see every shot because it's interesting and not just have your videos in the background when I do something else. But at the same time, I understand if you feel like you were just rushing to put a video out and not happy with it. But also if you are having a more hectic time in life there's nothing wrong to document it as it is if you are happy to do so.
Really appreciated the honest response to the constructive criticism of your last video. I agreed with a lot of the comments, though personally only post positive feedback, so didn’t add my voice to what was said. I scroll thru Instagram, but have no interest in other platforms, just UA-cam. For that reason, I hope you continue to make videos, but don’t push it - perhaps fewer uploads whenever you feel in the right mindset. It might have been interesting to have seen a bit of your trip with COS, if that was possible? Your life is obviously somewhat different now, with living in 2 countries and trying to forge a satisfying career in both.
It might not be what your followers want but sometimes you just need to totally disconnect from the idea of creating for the purpose of public viewing. just get away for a bit, don’t record anything, just exist for yourself. ultimately I just don’t think any of us are designed to be on online public view like we force ourselves to be. It’s okay if you need a break from it, or decide it doesn’t serve you happiness at all anymore. look after your heart and mind first :)

i love the rush in vlogs, it gets me motivated afterwards. i also love the documentary like realistic vidoes. like im not an audience but more in that atmosphere. keeping the lights, sounds and camera angles natural puts me in that great ambiance. love your works, all the support

Lizzy, I’ve been watching your content for a couple of years now and every time you post I look forward to the videos SO much. Please don’t beat yourself up, you’ve gone through so many changes recently and it’s absolutely normal to feel less motivated to do things such as UA-cam. I really hope you don’t stop posting on here as I personally prefer long form content and do not use/watch TikTok for example… Instagram on the other hand doesn’t feel as “personal” and candid. hang in there, you’re amazing!
I love your content (you always present things in an honest, humble way) and I don't think you putting out a video in a rushed manner would give us a sense that we're taken for granted. Everyone has highs and lows, especially in the creative field. It's great that you're reflecting on this, but truly don't think you should be this harsh on yourself
Hi! (From a 34 year old 😉) watch the friends turning 30 episode, laugh, have some good plans 🍷 , and go with the flow of the 30s. I have definitely been more in tune with myself during my 30s and that can only get even better. Going with the flow and going at your own pace is the biggest sense of freedom. (And learning boundaries and saying no). Also, thanks as always for honesty, your videos and Instagram are the main ways I follow you and I love them both. you are a v rare natural creative soul who seems so effortlessly and beautifully put together. The apartments looking lovely! If you're worried about the noise at some point you could put felt dots on the chair legs or those little chair socks lol when you start your 30's you actually feel quite young again because you're at the bottom of a new age :) 30's are actually nice! the only thing i'm sad about my 30's is that i turned 31 when the pandemic hit, the years trickled away so fast

I definitely do not want more content, not because I don't like your content but because I know how much work goes into a video and because I want you to have enough time to make videos that you yourself enjoy most of all! I love your content as a 26yo single woman (there are not many of us here on youtube to relate to) and I just enjoy and pull inspiration from watching you living your life. Take your time in making content you enjoy.
My favourite content of yours has always been the outfit and travel videos, so I’d be perfectly happy with outfits videos and suggestions/clips of fun things to do in London/NYC and no personal stuff really! 🙂
That said, if you’re earning enough from other projects/platforms I wouldn’t judge you for stopping UA-cam altogether. Life is too short. I think a lot of reflection comes when you turn 30 and it’s a good time to assess where your life is and where you’d like it to be. Do what’s best for you ❤️

I think it's absolutely up to you on how much and if at all you want to share parts of your life/personal life with us. Omg isn’t New York the best city! I live in Queens and I just love seeing New York through your eyes. We all have off days at work or feel burned out. I know I've had days even at my office job when I didn't put in 100% effort or felt burned out by it. I feel like the people leaving nasty comments would be disheartened if their boss or coworkers made the type of comments they feel too comfortable leaving. To me, that's just noise and I value your content I hope it never stops because it's such an inspiration. Would you ever make a video on differences or thoughts on London compared to New York?

fellow compulsive law abider here! Don't worry about the rug thing :) born and raised new yorker here and have lived in enough apartments to know that that is there in all boiler plate contracts but it's truly almost never enforced. They have it in for potential noise control if they have a complaint but I've never had it enforced!

I love how effortless and warm your space is feeling! I also loved what you talked about at the end. Being a content creator must be so strange sometimes. We all have jobs and some are "easier" than others (speaking of, you should check out "There's No Such Thing as an Easy Job" by Kikuko Tsumura if you haven't-it's both incredibly odd and incredibly relatable) but whenever you have a job you can't really step away from, fatigue is inevitable, even if you're spending a lot of your time in beautiful cities having beautiful experiences.
You've always seemed like a fun human doing their best to me, and you're always willing to hear your community's feedback. I really appreciate that. I'm glad you're able to parse through what's said in good faith vs what's said out of jealousy and judgment. I sometimes think "Gee, it must be nice-!" I quickly realize that, yeah, it MUST be nice, and what would it say about me to begrudge you that, haha.

As someone who watches your videos to get into to a calm interesting space and exposed to nyc and London life, I would say a majority of your viewers aren’t that scrutinizing (even if it’s constructive criticism) of you, they’re here to see you the good and bad and watch the journey along the way. You’re human and not perfect - don’t worry about it too much everything you’ve created thus far has been amazing and everyone has hiccups. I didn’t even see the video just wanted to help put you at ease with other viewers :) what a great brand that they understand their platforms for advertising (ie humans) are indeed human.

Dear Lizzy, really liked this video, it was a true Lizzy aesthetic. I guess like in every job, there are good days and bad days and that is ok! Performance has such variations! Giving oneself some time to regroup and get a fresh perspective is always a good idea. Just take a small step back and re-adjust the focus on the bigger picture.
I really enjoy your content, lizzy, and I think you’re a really funny, intelligent, thoughtful not full-of-shit person - it’s why I’ve watched you for so long. I think a lot of people feel really entitled to TElL iT LiKe iT iS to creators online, and it’s genuinely not something they would ever say to someone’s face. It’s gross. I watched your video last week but I didn’t see the comments, so I can’t comment on that, but they could’ve just dm’d you. I really hate how viewers have ruined UA-cam and creators’ comfort with sharing. There were many I use to watch who just left UA-cam because people are too much. I totally get it from your end, I would be the same, but as a viewer, they’re ruining it for us to happily watch quietly. Btw, I know you’re not complaining at all about the negative feedback and I think your response has been really gracious, I’m just chiming in from the perspective of a viewer who idly watches videos (ie with my breakfast, getting ready, cleaning etc to keep me company). Not all of us care about high quality content all the time. I get your job is v privileged, but you never complain about it. the flooring is beautiful but older wooden floors are going to make a fair amount of noise no matter how much you think you're being quiet. rugs also help keep general noise contained since they function as a kind of sound insulation. I live on the third floor of an old home and I feel like it's basic courtesy to have rugs down for my neighbors below. (I also think they do enhance a room's look and add warmth and texture.)

Hi Lizzy, I haven‘t seen the last video and the comments. But I’d like to take this opportunity to give some feedback. Personally, I feel like your videos are a little bit off for quite some time. Ever since you started traveling and then moved to NYC part time, I don‘t enjoy your vlogs as much as I used to. You often seem to be in a rush and sometimes you don’t seem to be motivated to really engage - on camera - with the things you mention (fashion, books, furniture etc.). For example, you show a pair of shoes quickly and then move on to the next thing. Oftentimes, I would love to know more about your thought on the matter at hand - and not just watch you rush in and out of an apartment. This is of course part of your vlogging style. But it also seems a little bit that vlogging for you right now is something you have to get done for the sponsored contend, without putting too much effort in it.
That being said, I totally understand that the UA-cam-lifestyle can be very exhausting and probably a little bit self-alienating. I‘m sure many viewers wouldn‘t mind if you take more time for yourself to find a way in this business that’s right for you.
Dear Lizzy, the very thing I like about your videos is that they are for the most part organic. I still get my dose of lifestyle content, but not every frame is perfectly edited & cut, the white balance might be up or down and the lampshade might not be perfectly aligned. Where I actually want to see every shot because it's interesting and not just have your videos in the background when I do something else.
But at the same time, I understand if you feel like you were just rushing to put a video out and not happy with it. But also if you are having a more hectic time in life there's nothing wrong to document it as it is if you are happy to do so.

Really appreciated the honest response to the constructive criticism of your last video. I agreed with a lot of the comments, though personally only post positive feedback, so didn’t add my voice to what was said. I scroll thru Instagram, but have no interest in other platforms, just UA-cam. For that reason, I hope you continue to make videos, but don’t push it - perhaps fewer uploads whenever you feel in the right mindset. It might have been interesting to have seen a bit of your trip with COS, if that was possible? Your life is obviously somewhat different now, with living in 2 countries and trying to forge a satisfying career in both.
It might not be what your followers want but sometimes you just need to totally disconnect from the idea of creating for the purpose of public viewing. just get away for a bit, don’t record anything, just exist for yourself.
ultimately I just don’t think any of us are designed to be on online public view like we force ourselves to be. It’s okay if you need a break from it, or decide it doesn’t serve you happiness at all anymore. look after your heart and mind first :)
