"WhichMod" is a mod you can get for SC that appends the name of the mod to every description a thing is from, that way you always know what mod added what ship/weapon etc. Super helpful. Does not require a new game or anything.

@@nikaelkeanretiza1074 UAF makes game less fun with how imbalanced it is. Not every mod is an addition, some of them destroy the challenge. You can enjoy the "dakka" for like a few hours then you'll quit. That's not fun at all.
I noticed your Conquest build, and the subreddit would have your head for building it symmetrically, but I won't report you. That said, I HIGHLY recommend asymmetrical Conquest builds. If you build one side for the broadside, and the other for PD, you get better Flux management and now you can use that speed to break up enemy wings attacking weaker ships AND push back other ships.
I have been playing for 3 years, but I still get stuck sometimes in the simulator for hours to get a grip on what works when and how. Sure I have 80-100 mods to thank, but to this day I still have some unexplored corners, still find ways to improve tactics, loadout, understanding of mechanics, AI behavior, etc. It's a LOT, but it is the same amount of fun. Press SHIFT to steer with the mouse in battle, I was steering with keys for months and I was wondering how am I supposed to fly frigates like that.🤣
It may be just the people I watch, but it seems like every UA-camr these days like a 40K which is quite heartwarming since except for my local hobby shop I never meet anyone that knows what it is, I’m glad it is getting more and more into the light. Also amazing video man

Faction mods: Iron Shell: basically Hegemony IRS that will hunt you down when you earn too much money through smuggling because your sudden income is not justified. Diable Avionics: Neutral chaotic Military Company that uses fast and small ships and advanced carriers and wanzers to overwhelm other factions. No such organization: a high tech phase ship orientated faction, sub faction of the tri tachyon. Thalan shipworks: this is a mod that adds ships, bounty but the most spicy things it adds is a pirate sub faction named Legio Infernalis. They are pirates, but well organized, with competent fleets and powerful ships of their own manufacturing, even capital and carriers. This will add a new system with their planets and with nexerelim they will take no time starting to raid other factions and raiding you! Colony mods: Industrial revolution Better colonies Terraforming and station construction All this will enhance the Colony management adding new industries, new buildings, also making you able to build orbital stations of your own! They are many mods to pick from, but these ones are the best to start a balance game! Also chech United Auroran Federation and Star Federation 👀
Hey heres's a tip, cyro volcanic planets can have regular, rare and volatiles at the same time! Though this removes the gas extactor thing from getting more voltiles, its definitely worth it with the autonomous mining drill you can get.
Last time i played starsector i had myself a titan class battle carrier, it had all the strengths of a carrier with 20 hanger slots and all the strengths of a battleship. It was awesome.
Except that faction doesn’t seem like it even fits, ships suck and don’t fit in, cargo ships are way too op, I have them in my current game and I ignore them cause it’s not worth time
Use Carter's Freetraders and Junk Yard Dogs, then grab yourself either a Loyal Drone Tender or a Galleon class. Set them up with an array of shield-buster missiles and anti-personnel/armor missiles. You'll be surprised at the havoc you can wreak with that single ship alone. I've cleared half a sector with a Galleon and a decent captain on a Loyal, near no need for small ships in the fleet. It turns every fight into an offensive scenario.
As far as I know there IS a warhammer 40k ships/faction/weapons mod but it's very old and last I tried I had to cut out the factions entirely (among a few other things) to make it even work at all
14th BG Legions are great because I can be confident that they can take care of themselves. they aren't the most efficient carrier but it can facetank most cruisers
Ah, the summoner build, one of my favorites and probably part of why I have diagnosed ADHD. Give me the ability to idle in a game until the enemy death noises stop and go collect the rewards and that will be my #1 choice. In Diablo 2, it was a summoner druid or a skeleton necromancer, in Titan Quest it was Nature and Earth magic, hell, my first WoW class was a hunter I eventually got up to 80 during the good ole days of WotLK. And with this extra time, I will probably either go read manga on my phone or tab out to an entirely different game because I must be peak efficiency if I ever intend to get through my backlog.
Since you like carriers I would recommend the junk yard dogs faction mod pretty much every ship they have is a built in carrier with mineing pods for those sweet fighter swarms

There are other tutorials for the game but i recommend doing the in-game tutorials first The ones at the top of the main menu and the campaign tutorial
Those are Jämmer wings from prv Starworks. there wasn't really a set loadout, one had an extremely basic loadout of random missiles and ballistic PD weapons while the other had. I was really just jamming whatever I got onto them since I got them so early, then I never went back and properly refit them later.

I recommend getting the Ziggurat as soon as you can, it'll speed up your plans immensely, helps that it's probably the most OP ship in the game RK.
