I have been wondering for a long time if its possible to beat the hegemony without a big fleet Raid their fuel and supply production, after you get the strongest share in the sector for both of those. Ally ludds and pirates, send them after everyone else to raid and pillage. Wait. They cannot afford to fly their capitals (or even any ship at all) anymore Destroy their core stations, saturate bombardments for everyone Repeat and leave only those that you like (independents my beloved) Then destroy ludd and pirates (who you turned into corsairs) so no one can challenge you. They have outlived their usefullness. Declare yourself the heroe of the sector, after killing and starving billions. Rebuild and get rid of the remnants. Explore. Finally, some fucking peace and quiet.
