    1. eyes on the ball
    2. slight side bent, arm slight infront out stretched
    3. full palm contact
    4. high contact
    5. not under, directly behind and slightly on top of ball

    I find that I contact the ball with my wrist or forearm somewhat frequently, so I'll definitely be using this

      Are you also 'tracking' the ball with your off-hitting hand, as the set comes down? That will help with your timing as well.

      @@VBMichael_D I've had this pointed out to me, getting better at it but need to be more consistent at using my off hand as a guide

      Man, the gym I coach in is all covered in bleachers, and the available walls are all plywood. Not ideal for hitting drills.

      @@KucingObesitas Do NOT do hitting/swinging practice against a wall in your home. LOL
      You will wind up breaking something. I almost broke a lamp in the living room and a Pyrex bowl in the kitchen trying that in my house!
      I can set to myself against the vaulted wall in the living room, but that's all I can do and not risk interior destruction. LOL

    I know this is getting a bit ahead, but you will generate more power in your swing, if you rotate your hips and shoulders, in an almost identical fashion to throwing a punch.
    I.e. if you are a right handed boxer, and you go to throw a right cross, you are going to twist your trunk and rotate your shoulders. You aren't going to throw an arm punch.
    Same for hitting.

      I would hypothesize that it would be similar to any other 'hold still' exercise...like planks. Hold it for as long as you feel comfortable.

    This is the best .. wow ive been struggling with hitting recently even tho im gettin older its starting to get tough w timing and hitting the ball and im 5-8 ha ..but this has helped me big time
