In that case, why did he praise their "dedication to social justice", to quote? I'm sure the Palestinian LGBT community would be thrilled to hear it. He dishonestly claimed that he is a sainted peacemaker, and this is about talking to people with whom you disagree. But he doesn't disagree with Hamas, he completely agrees with them.
