What I like about your builds is that they are fair and unbiased.
You give the best chance with proper criticism when warranted.

Vlad. Just like to say thanks for an excellent video. Thanks to this and CHEP's video on the evolution of the A10 (looks like it's now on version 4) I went out and bought an A10 last week. Your video made putting it together very easy.
    A few things to note:-
    1) They've upgraded the bearings on the V rollers.
    2) They've redesigned the filament sensor (a couple of times). The latest seems to feed properly.
    3) The cable to the LCD display has been upgraded to an IDC with full 0.1" pitch headers.
    Now the bad news:-
They are still over-tightening the V rollers. My Y axis was stiff and bumpy and required backing off a lot.
It no longer ships with a Superplate just a stick on Mylar sheet and a scraper :-(
Mine shipped with a locked up Part Cooler Fan!!! Looks like when they stuck the duct in to the fan exhaust some excess superglue got into the body and firmly stuck the rotor to the body. A quick exchange of e-mails with Geeetech tech support and they're sending me a replacement hotend assembly.
Even with the above I've been impressed with the quality of the prints I'm getting even without parts cooling.
    Many thanks for your efforts
    Ian

PLEASE!!! When you are back feeding power from the stepper motors by moving them back and forth… UNPLUG THEM or only move slowly so you don’t fry your motherboards.

Which printer would you recommend to a tinker/beginner? I thought about the CR 10 Pro or the Cr X (I like the idea of dual-color)

can i use another type of filament in this printer?

    • @dillon6968
      @dillon6968 3 роки тому +1

Yes. It is the same as the ender 3 so PETG and maybe TPU (very stringy though), just make sure your slicer settings (temp, speed, etc.) are adjusted accordingly. Mixing them is probably a bad idea though as there is only one hot end.
EDIT: ABS would probably work as well although PLA is honestly better in my opinion

One of the best A10 assemblies I've seen. I've just bought the A10M with version 4 LCD board. This demo will help a lot once I actually assemble the thing....
