What nobody is mentioning about the redshift stem is that it dampens decent when the hands are placed on the hoods. However when you have your hands on the drops the dampen is almost unnoticable. I believe this is due to the fact that you have a much longer lever when your hands are on the hoods. However it is a great piece of gear to add to an existing bike but the diverge`s dampening system is superior as it will dampen no matter where the hands are placed.
I run 48mm Pathfinder Pros aired at 35 and 36.5 psi. More compliance and bigger volume tubeless tires might also be another alternative depending on what your surface is like.
My '22 Checkpoint SL6 with RedShift Pro stem is absolutely WONDERFUL on chunky gravel and rough single track. For the smoother stuff, I do swap out the RedShift for an RSL stem.
