Got put out of service earlier tonight for a stop lamp switch. Much to my surprise when I Googled “stop lamp switch”, this video was the number 1 result on Google (wasn’t even in UA-cam). I immediately grinned and thought “my man!!! DIY”. As I watched it, it gave me a healthy dose of humility and really helped to curb my pride as I was certain the issue was with the trailer, not the truck (I was hauling an Amazon trailer). All I can say is, IN DIY I TRUST Future content coming soon, well deserved shout-out to you in it for sure. Thank you for all you do, I’m out of DOT prison and rollin’ again 👊🏻🍻
Good info. I didn't know they were pneumatic. Lots of learning from your channel. One could probably jump power across the harness and further verify the switch failure.
So let’s say that your air tanks were 100% empty, you wouldn’t have any brake lights when pushing the pedal correct? Because it relies on the air pressure to trigger the sensor before it sends electricity to the actual brake lights?
Good afternoon sir! I have a question about my truck I would like to ask you if you have time! I have a 2019 Peterbilt 579 . I have no power going to my rear lights, other than the right turn signal. That’s the only thing that works all others are not working. I checked all my fuses and all are good, but no power going to those fuses! Would you happen to know just what I can look for sir? I’m down and out of service till then ! Thank You so very much for your time and your help 🙏🙏 have a very blessed day!

Thanks for the video! Love these how to ones especially!
thanks!
Good video. Also make sure it doesn’t have a air leak the sensor could just be a little loose and not registering.
So cool great video homie!!
This just saved the day! Thank you so much

Did you find the issue? Having same problem with the same truck.
Good info DIY 🇬🇧🇺🇸👍
Thanks 👍
I don't need brake lights! I never touch the brake pedal. It's called a jake brake.
What if I change it and it didn’t fix my problem. I change the harness and still my right light stays on hood you can help.
Thank you so much
Thank you very much 💜💜💜💜

I appreciate that
These go out so often you’d think they could figure out a way to make them last. Dealers makin money I guess. Keep a spare in the truck.
