  • The first stop to our overlanding build was Bushtech overlanding accessories to fit gullwing doors in the back of the Jimny.
Back at the shop Mic was gearing up to fit the Ironman 4x4 Bull Bar and do some sound deadening.

    Super content 👍
Can't wait to see what you guys can make out of this little wonderful beast.
I have a JB74 in the garage, and I love the challenge of thinking and making everything minimalistic, and only bring the absolute most important stuff on the journey.
Keep it agile, like it was meant to be.

Contemplating a JC74 (that's the long weekend Jimny 😂) with an 80l LR tank. And Suzuki quoted on a Sony sound with booster amp and under-seat subwoofer. Then it will be ready for wherever in South Africa 🇿🇦.

The new 5-door will give more opportunities in kitting a Jimny out

    • On the weight issue: Is a bull bar really that important on a Jimny if you want to keep it light?
    • Fuel tank issue: There are 80L fuel tanks available which will give you a minimum of 800 km’s of range. No jerries required anymore.
Looking forward to see this project evolving. 🙌🏼

Thanks for your comments Johannes. Re the Bull bar, yes it is a difficult consideration. Bear in mind that after suspension, Bull Bars are one of our main product lines so we are compelled to showcase them. We did opt for the lighter of the 2 styles that we offer on the Jimny. With regards to fuel, we're going on an extensive cross-border overland tour soon and this will give us a good idea of the fuel situation. We will be travelling in convoy with the bigger vehicles carrying emergency fuel. For solo overlanding I agree that a larger main fuel tank is preferable to jerry cans on the roof if fuel is not readily available.

@@micvanzyl, if I decide to fit a bull bar to my Jimny one day, I know where to go knocking. It looks amazing! 🙌🏼
