I have a 3 door 2023 Jimmny myself, that I use for camping and touring Australia. It is a nice little thing. I believe there are reasons why Jimmnies don't have turbos. Increasing the power of a car involves revising the brake system, body, chassis, clutch, transmision, suspension, etc. They are simple rugged cars, easy and cheap to repair and maintain, and I think the provided engine is quite OK considering how the rest of the car behaves (great off-road, poorly on-road). Just reduce a couple of gears uphill and press the accelerator, the engine is quite rev-happy.
Incredible work. Now makes me want to have it again, like when it first came in with the second 3 door offering. 5 doors on a Jimny now will make even better sense.
Such a great little platform. Have had a couple of GVs (in Aust they are the Grand Vitaras) and we took them everywhere - once I casually drove around a group of Defenders winching themselves up a steep slope (I offered them a tow - great sport!!) etc. Wherever we went, there was always a Jimny proving its off-road ability (and upsetting people in very expensive rigs!). Love the mods you've done and cheers from Sydney - Dave
That’s amazing! Just what the Jimmy needs, the final piece to make it the coolest car ever :) I am frantically saving by up for one in the next few years, it’s my dream car. The availability of a turbo kit makes that dream even more appealing! Thank you for sharing
Engine update is outstanding...from 130NM to 250 NM is excellent, hope the added turbo doesn't create any ongoing issue to the 4 stoke engine. I love this car except the standard 75kw, 130 nm offer. This does the job in most places but it feels very flat in normal driving..this upgrade is simply amazing, I love it... beautifully upgraded car for sure
Suzuki is SOOOO BLIND to the potential popularity of this car!!! Instead of making ALL the versions available WORLDWIDE, they REDUCE availability where it was sold (europe)!!! If they sold this world-wide they would not only sell like hotcakes, but they (Suzuki) could start a whole new branch of business JUST FOR THE CUSTOMIZATION OPTIONS!!! I still can't believe NO ONE in the Suzuki management sees this!!!
It's not that simple, the lite version is only sold in Europe because of EU regulations. And speaking at least in the Australian market, Jimny's already sell like hotcakes and Susuki can't make enough to satisfy the Australian market yet, that's why they're not selling them world-wide, Susuki is far from blind about their popularity.
Lekker rig and it will kill off-road. The suspension and turbo is surely to address the issues I think this vehicle has. But man! A new Jimny and 100K in extras puts you real close to, if not next to some 4x4 bakkies which offer more space inside, more utility, and probably still a better on-road driving experience. Each to their own. Still a nice a build.

I was having a thought that this should have been the standard power output for the 5 door Jimny. I think a lot of guys that was also disappointed when they released the 5 door jimny with the same engine output as the 3 door.
Picked up my new jimny 1.5 this August...After driving the first day looked under the hood and noticed there was no turbo...It defiantly needs a turbo! Especially if you do a lot of highway driving.
Improved it's offroad credentials while destroying its street cred. This is why I left my Jimny 100% stock. I drive around 15000km's a year on the tarmac and might do 5000km's off roading in a good year (usually less) much more logical to keep it running smooth and quiet on the street. It's still pretty amazing offroad, even with highway terrains, just not a hardcore rock crawler. I take a come along hand winch (Tirfor) for offroad adventures. They can pull the car at any angle and don't weigh much. Can also remove it when I'm using the car for daily driving since an electric winch would just be an anchor most of the time. having said that I do love the offroad mods you have and would consider doing something like this if my Jimny were a secondary car exclusively used for off roading.
Now 250nm torque, how did that affect towing capacity (along with upgraded suspension)? and tow ball specification? Normal Jimny tows 1300 kg with brakes (my model) what will this modified Jimny Tow, because I can get a good trailer around 1500 kg to 1700 kg and long Jimny also heavier./
