Great video guys! Questions - Do you need a user licence for the 2 way radio and is there any paperwork you need to carry in the vehicle with you? (Traffic cops are looking for ways to relieve you of your hard earned money) Can a roof rack extend over the windscreen to act as sun shade for the driver? If so, how far over is legal? Cheers.
Hi Bruce. Indeed you do need a license and it is a good idea to keep it with your car manual and other paperwork when travelling. This is obtained from the company you buy your radio from.
Regarding the roofrack, it is possible to put a longer rack over the front of the vehicle. You would need to speak to Frontrunner on that one. Personally I would not do it as noise and wind resistance are bound to increase.
I've got a Suzuki Jimny GLA with the basic radio, what are the chances of getting my hands on the head unit that your removed from your Jimny?
