He says "serums to grow you an entire new foot". It's played off as just a joke for your 1st time watching,but once you know he wasn't lying,it really makes it funnier

He gave him the Ghoulish perks from the games. He becomes more like a ghoul and in return radiation will heal him. However, he'll go full ghoul eventually because of it, being the trade off.

Personally I don't think that Thaddeus was going to leave Dogmeat there, he was planning to come back, that's why he stashed all the gear. I think he's gonna have a redeeming character ark in S2

Like to see that the survivors from Shady Sands Didn't became insane Vault dwelers and everything was pretty much Lucy jumping to the conclusion without the full picture, which was understandable after the shitty days/weeks she had prior to enter that vault.
Ironically they were part of what Lucy wanted to do, only in reverse 😅

I really like the theme of the show that everyone has their own way of saving the world and by everyone just going about it their own way it leads to the chaos we see unfolding

This show made a minor retcon on ghoul physiology. Ghouls don't have healing powers like deadpool, but they heal gradually when exposed to high levels of radiation. All Ghouls have the radiation perk. In episode 2, Cooper got shot, but completely healed without using stimpaks or exposing himself to radiation to heal. I'm not complaining though.
What happened to Thaddeus was the same thing that happened to Hancock, a character in Fallout 4, who was a junkie. One day he took an experimental drug (possibly radioactive) and turned into a ghoul.

Ghouls healing power seems inconsistent. Thaddeus literally regrow his foot back but cooper can lost a finger. Feral fouls have been killed in the show too, and they didn’t heal back

If the desk girl died that might be interesting, but Norman would have stopped her: however, people know Norman wanted them dead and that he was assigned to feed them; given the information it seems Betty is setting him up to be implicated, but for no real reason I can really think of… it doesn’t serve her other than to flex on Norman

@@boredasian9445heya! Not the OP, but happy to toss my two cents in. Fallout 4 is the most modern main series installment, and likely easiest to get into gameplay wise. People will say it’s not got the greatest writing compared to the others, but it’s still fun and some prefer it! If you’re looking for games that lean more into being RPGs and character roleplay, 3 and New Vegas will be your cup of tea even if they’re a bit older. They all take place in their own locations and have their own vibes as well, with 4 being the area around Boston Massachusetts, 3 being around Washington DC, and New Vegas being set closest to the show’s setting and the likely locale of season 2, Las Vegas.
If you wanna dive right into old-school isometric turn-based stuff, 1 and 2 are cult classics for a reason, though toughest to get into these days of course

@@boredasian9445 76 isn’t forbidden by any means, I just hadn’t listed it as it’s a multiplayer entry to the series rather than one of the mainline single player rpgs. It’s had a major identity crisis over the years and been rebuilt and altered since, and had an absolutely abysmal launch in terms of glitches and instability.
I’ve heard a couple times as of late that it’s actually playable now, but after redownloading it the other day, I still can’t in good conscience recommend it to someone looking to get a foothold in the series. Play one of the main single player games, then give 76 a look once you have your grip on the world if you’re interested in a more sandboxy mmo experience.

they weren't experimenting for no reason, the idea was they were trying to create a human/mutant hybrid, so humans could adapt and survive out in the nuclear wasteland

All the actors have done their roles fantastically, but Walton chews the scenery like nobody else in this.
I genuinely have no clue what Emmys are awarded for, but I think all of the actors in this show have done a great job.
If I had to pick one, it would have to be Walton Goggins. His character has the most varied performance throughout his pre and post war existence, as well as the fact that he's just a fantastic actor all around.

I feel at 20:25 yall were talking about different people lol. Chet is the cousin who is bigger but turns out to be more cowardly, and Norm is Lucy's brother, who ends up being more courageous despite being smaller and more timid, and he even calls himself "too chicken" in the first episode.

I think the snake oil salesman somehow got his hands on some FEV. I think that soldier is gonna become a super mutant in season 2. Cause ghouls are created "naturally" with a steady dose of rads. But FEV would heal like that and be fast like that, and requires just the one dose. Leaving this prediction here

The idea with the three vaults is supposed to be that you can mitigate threats to any one vault through support from the other two.
31,32,33 are meant to be for upper mid Vault-Tec Management true believers, but I’m convinced that 31’ers are supposed to foster “managers” in the other (2), but there are (2) such that if one learns of the 31er’s scheme and needs to be eradicated, the other one can repopulate the freshly sanitized one… just like how Betty facilitates the repopulation of 32

I think that "Doctor" who helped Thaddeus is actually Mysteriuos Stranger from games. He appears, helps and disappears right away.
But not all the wasteland monsters were people. A lot were just animals mutated on their own due to radiation, right? Deathclaws were some kind of lizards, the two headed cows, giant mirelurks.
Yea, but Deathclaws were man made, pre-war.
Honestly a lot of the monsters were made in labs prewar or vaults using radiation and FEV, most the bugs, and things like Yao guai, rad stags, Brahmin are natural from radiation
Deathclaws were genetically-engineered by the US Government before the Great War, to replace human soldiers in close-quarter-combat. You are right about the brahmins and mirelurks... also rad scorpions, mole rats, boatflies, etc.

I finally rescued my Dad and it becomes an escort quest across the Wasteland. At some point the direct path took us through this crumbling town filled with Super Mutants. I pulled us to the side planning to employ stealth and sneak past. Dad however, had his own ideas and literally Leroy Jenkins-runs straight in like "Have at you varlots!" "What?? Dad no don't do that nooooo!" The dad is a critical NPC and therefore un-killable, so I stood in the street watching as this entire offstage Scooby Doo battle of mayhem happens progressively - explosions and flames and battle debris and the sounds of Mutant screams and destruction (Dad of course was carrying _all of_ my spare weapons) occurred progressively in sequence down the block through buildings as he cut his path of destruction. Finally I sighed, took a breath, and hefted my mini-nuke launcher to provide support from a distance, firing while still embarrassed that Dad wouldn't listen to me and took over the encounter. "You'd better not be wasting _all_ our small-arms ammo!... ." It was _hilarious._

I like this reaction so much I'm joining the Patreon. The combination of player / non-player AND thoughtful discussion is better then the other reactions I've seen. I really love the ghoul, Walter goggins does a good job portraying both characters to the point where to me even tho he's the same person, cooper is cooper and the ghoul is the ghoul. It's amazing.. thank you guys for the reaction 👋💯
Unless it's a retcon, that can't really be the same canon Dogmeat as appears in Fallout 4...since that takes place 10 years earlier and about 2800 miles away on the other side of the country.
Based on the vendor earlier selling dog meat, it's presumably common to refer to most dogs in the wasteland as meat or dog meat. Plus it's a great opportunity to revisit the great joke of Fallout 4, to find a dog waiting at a Red Rocket
Definitely not the same. Remember, we saw this Dogmeat as soon as she was born. I’d concur with the theory that it’s just a generic moniker given to dogs in this world because a movie made it popular.

There is a well known channel (I can't think of it now) where celbrities answer the most Googled questions. The three leads from Fallout were on the show together and Walton Goggins made a comment about how he would love to still be doing this series in 10 years as they explore the entire world if that is where the story takes them. I thought that was pretty cool.

I can’t hear the Vault 4 Overseer and not hear Archer’s Cyril, who’s played by the same actor, Chris Parnell.
I’d say the Overseer character was more similar to Jerry from Rick and Morty. Also voiced by Chris Parnell.
They explained why they kept the vaults separate. It's to prevent a total wipeout in case of sickness breach.
