- Amazon, MGM, and Bethesda Studios brought us the live-action adaptation of the popular video game "Fallout." The cast of the series joins WIRED to answer the most-Googled questions in both the video game & television series.

Walton joked about 10 seasons... if he actually has that mindset... Give Walt whatever he wants and make it happen.
The man had to wear prosthetics for half the show... if he is keen to do more... and we all want him... make it so!
Edit: I want everyone else to continue their story (they are all great and i am invested)... i just highlighted Walt because of the prosthetics (actors hate them) and he is a top level Hollywood actor. I would/am surprised (in a good way) that he would want to continue.
You guys have not yet seen a Deathclaw, but you HAVE seen a Deathclaw skull. The final little scene, with [redacted] marching across the wasteland and seeing [redacted] in the distance, [redacted] walks by a Deathclaw skull that they very clearly highlight (because they're planning on including Deathclaws in season two, from what I've read).
You can just say in the final scene of the final episode there is a deathclaw skull on the ground

When the Mom left with the siblings I wandered how the dad convinced the Vault about going out and getting them back.. When I rewatched this with yall I noticed Lucy claiming the Vault had hardships the Potato Famine of 77 where everyone had to quarantine... That one sentence explained so much!!
the actor that plays the ghouls said in another interview he refuses to play the games, so hes not limited in his acting.

There is deathclaw skull in the last scene, a certain someone walks right past it in power armor.
It wasn't because they worried if they say wrong things but because they don't want to spoil it.
5:11 Took me a while but I'm pretty sure this question was referring to the game Wasteland (1988) created by Brian Fargo who then went on to create Fallout after losing the rights to Wasteland. So in many ways Fallout is the spiritual successor to Wasteland and this question was asking if Wasteland and Fallout are connected.
Wasteland itself has a more retro 1980s Cold War Age of Reagan feel to it. Alot of political satire and dark humour like Fallout just pulling from two differant eras of America.
Brian Fargo was the founder of Interplay, and head of the company when Fallout, Fallout 2 and Fallout Tactics were developed and published. The intros of all three games include the words "Brian Fargo presents." He was one of two of the producers of Fallout, but did not work on the game directly. Tim Cain is actually the creator of fallout. But then again he could've gotten the idea thanks to wasteland..
Wasteland is the reason I bought the first Fallout, and I've been playing them ever since.
She’s so great with all the video game characters she plays. Being Jinx’s as well in Arcane.

You did See a Death Claw skull at the end of the 8th episode. so they're in new vegas, which means death claws are going to make an appearance. and its going to be terrifying and glorious.

I learned that the hard way. First time I played New Vegas, I was like, "Well Vegas is north, I should just try to go directly that way" and I was brutally killed numerous times before I realized that, no, I am not allowed to go that way just yet.

Those things are worse than deathclaws to me because of the poison
theyre very fast and hits hard and comes in packs. I had to build a no miss long range character to get pass them on my 5th try
They're really hard to hit without VATS(unless they are in your face alredy), the sting takes a good chunk of your life +the venom. I don't remember if the vemon stack, but yeah.
At least you can cripple the legs of the Deathclaw to make them almost useless

Believe me guys the world, style and story of Fallout is very unique and awesome.
Henry Cavil was a big Witcher fan and played the Witcher 3 manny times to perform his role as Geralt as good as he can.

Deathclaws are right up there with the worst. Add in the Super Mutant Behemoth and the Mirelurk Queen make up the top 3 for sure worst creatures.

Horses are cannonically still around in fallout and look the same as they did before. Obsidian was going to put them in new vegas but didn't because they knew people would be upset you couldn't ride them

The fun thing that Ella got told by the show runners that character is a mix of Ned Flanders (Simpsons) and Leslie Knope (Parks and recreation). A person that can be in a toothpaste advert. I think she got spot on.

A small nitpick from me. I do kinda wish they would've run some fx/filter over Walton's voice in the show. From what I recall in the games (can't remember which), the radiation that turns one into a ghoul wreaks havoc on the vocal cords. I think all non-feral ghouls in the game have a hoarse voice as a result, except for maybe Jason Bright.

In Fallout 4, not long after you meet the first human survivors (both the Raiders and Survivor faction), you have to handle a Deathclaw. Luckily, you have a suit of Power Armor and a minigun. As you level up, your foes get stronger to match. Deathclaws have always been THE apex predator in Fallout. Yao Guai (mutated grizzly bears named after Yogi bear with a pseudo Chinese name) are TOUGH. Cazadors (giant wasps) in New Vegas will kill you quick individually or in swarms. The Ghoul in the show is probably the toughest opponent in that setting. Another tough hombre is Frank Horrigan, a soldier in the Enclave with roid rage who gets turned into a Super Mutant and retains his intelligence and fighting skills and then they experiment on him some more to make him stronger and more pissed off and then make a custom suit of power armor for him and even more powerful weapons. Different versions of Dogmeat have different levels of toughness. Dogmeat can't be killed in Fallout 4 but none of your companions can be killed, just wounded. You can give them a Stimpak during active combat, or finish combat and they recover immediately for free. In the original Fallout games, you could kill Dogmeat and he could be killed, but I think when Bethesda took over, Dogmeat became near immortal and he can wipe out much larger creatures all by himself.

"How realistically does Fallout portray a nuclear post-apocalyptic world"... Personally, I would LOVE to think that the Fallout universe is 100% accurate, because, as bad as things are, there is definitely hope for humanity. You look at the settlements that people have made and it just seems like the Fallout World is the best humanity could hope for if a Nuclear War actually happened.

Ghouls are not born as ghouls. They haven't talked about if a pregnant woman was irradiated or drugged while carrying a child, but there could be ghoul babies and there are ghoul children. Ghouls are sterile as part of the process. There's one ghoul child you rescue from a refrigerator in Fallout 3 (I think). You're walking through a junkyard and you hear a child's voice asking you to let him out. After some dialog, when you open the door, out comes this little kid who was stuck in a fridge since the war. You also run into some ghoul children in various settlements.
That's in Fallout 4 near the swampy area. Billy, the kid in the fridge. I remember thinking it was a glitch and ignored it my first playthrough... 😂🤦♂️

Jaby, hate to break it to you, but no, actors (in the past) often did not play the games before they acted in movies. They'd frequently admit as much in interviews. Gaming was not as mainstream as it is today.

Achara needs to realize that most of the mature actors weren't sitting around playing video games back in the day they were to busy auditioning and acting.And this was recorded b4 the season started that's why they couldn't talk about certain things.

The Mandelorian was not the only good use of The Volume. Tons of projects have used it and it worked beautifully. The Batman stands out as the best example but there are many. It's still better than blue-screen even in the situations it seems you think its overused.
Gulpers are mutant SALAMANDERS. Even Google doesn't know this. FFS, it's like salamanders don't even exist in cultural consciousness. Most people don't know what salamanders are. If they see a salamander, they'll mistake it for a lizard, or a fish with legs. Granted, the gulper shown in the show is clearly spliced with something else, and it has huge external gills like those of an axolotl.
Funny the bombs dropped in 2077 and in Cyberpunk 2077 Johnny nuked Arasaka in 2023/24.

The Deathclaw was the bear
No, the Deathclaw hasn't been shown on-screen in the show yet, except for a skull in the sand in the outro of the final episode. The mutated bear that killed Titus is called a "Yao guai", another very dangerous monster in the Fallout universe.
The Deathclaw is a genetically manufactured creature made by the US military before the Great War (which escaped into the wild after the war), while the Yao guai is just a side-effect of the radiation, like the rad-roach and other mutants.
Deathclaws are absolute nightmares.

There's no such called "deadeye" just because he's a Cowboy, in one of the Fallout game the term "deadeye" is treated as a joke.
