    Very very nice. We have sprinter with strange layout. I love the bamboo and the black, sink, stove combo, the two fantastic fans. Versatile. Beautiful

    Personal comments/bookmarks:-
    144 Sprinter. Black aluminium powder coated frame fixed on L track and bamboo panels.
    6:00 Outdoor table. Doorway fridge.
    6:45 Outdoor rug / Shoe storage. For shoes would be better with a drawer/pull out box.
    10:38 Doorway sofa, 5” Memory foam. Lagune table, doubles as kitchen worktop.
    11:28 Hand slots also act as ventilation
    13:02 Handleless drawers, nothing to bang into. Held with magnets at the back. Drawer slides hidden underneath.
    13:54 Panel fixed with magnets
    15:32 Sliding cupboard doors. Won’t open when travelling, no need for extra hardware. George of Humble Road puts a removable wooden rail at the front to stop things sliding forward and falling out when you open the cupboard. Best used with storage containers.
    16:22 Rounded cupboard bottoms to protect your head
    18:05 Toilet box with deep lid so that toilet is above box edge when opened
    21:29 Deep box could be used for bedding and pillow storage when bed not in use. Could also use to support bed as I don’t need the bed as high. Could have access panel at end so can use for storage when bed is in use.
    22:08 Water bricks
    23:15 Rear gas shower
    24:14 Rear lights on doors
    29:19 Fold up rear bed allowing van to be used for large loads. Some motorhomes have a section attached to bed frame that flips down to provide a barrier between garage and living space and stop items sliding forward. Others have a cargo net. Bed is solid panels with ventilation holes rather than slats. He’s got an issue with support in the middle, have a look at Hymer folding beds to see their system.

    for me the most important thing about this van is that it is very narrow and very high and that is because of the rear-wheel drive. This Camper has in the rear windows some added protrusions to be able to sleep wide that you can buy it from the factory but if you want to camperize it then you hold on and you have to sleep along losing interior space. Being so high in size it has a double entrance step and about 18 cm more total height with which the wind and the wobbling become very very evident to solve this in the times we are going it would not be wrong to apply the technology of the Toyota 4x4 that is front-wheel drive and two electric motors that go to the rear wheels and thus does not have as much height of the ground or the height total of the body and of course it would be necessary to put a hybrid engine that it is time for Mercedes to savvy to the times that run

    Really nice van. It would be nice if you could please display the American Flag in the proper orientation on the shop wall. When displaying lengthwise, as you have it, the blue star field is on the left. Sorry, but it's important.

      As a former jarhead, your point is understood; however, respectfully in the big picture, it's not important. Life, health and family are important. Dictated flag protocol for civilians, not so much. Just perspective, SF Mac. Nice van Rigwell!

    Nice rig! Shoulda gone with the IsoTherm Slider - would have been much better access from inside and out.

    Great build and great attention to detail on the welding. I want to do my cabinets the same way with that 45 deg angle but worry about the complexity it adds to the welding. I am curious, what is your sliding door opening? The distance between the cabinets and basically the B-Pillar. I have never seen that water system and it has me rethinking an over wheelwell fresh water tank. Interesting that you can fill them up at grocery stores, also seems easier to keep clean and if they do get too dirty/moldy or whatever, you can just replace them. Why use the ball valve? Why not just let both water loops be pressurized? My only real concern with the build is that you have the water and electrical all on the same side. One you have an imbalance of weight but also just the scary thought of a water leak getting all over the heart of your van. I love seeing new ideas and great builds, so thank you.

      I previously learned that the fuel tank is on the left so it's better to have more weight on the right to balance it out. I think the number of batteries and water is smaller than some other builds so I doubt he would feel the weight.

    Love and adore this layout but have few questions:
    1. What is the length of the bed. I’m 6’3.
    2. Why is the sofa angled at the end? I rather cut that off and put toilet box there.
    3. What is largest size bike frame that can fit under the bed? I assume the seat will have to be pushed down.
    4. Would the van AC be enough or would it be best to install a roof top one? If the latter, what needs to be changed in the electrical?
    5. You need a small shelf space near the reading lights to put things like cell phones (along with USB), a book and glasses

    Corey do you have a link to the flarespace wrap? Do you still have to paint them?

    • @rigwellmade
      @rigwellmade  3 роки тому +1

      Hey Steve. You can find our RIGWRAP on our site at rigwell.com/rigwrap. The wrap does not cover the edges of the flares so I would still suggest painting your flares first. But the RIGWRAP is a great way to protect that expensive paint job! If you have any other questions feel free to reach out to me directly at cory@rigwell.com. Thanks

    There are a lot of great details in this build, especially all the aluminum and bamboo to keep things lightweight, but I'm curious why you chose two fans for such a small space with multiple windows that can open and no shower producing excess steam rather than maximizing solar.

    • @rigwellmade
      @rigwellmade  3 роки тому +1

      Glad you like the build! We went with two fans simply to get more air flow. You can use one to suck air in and one to blow it out. A little overkill but you can never have enough air flow!
