Just what I need.. a ct90 signal light tutorial! I went from no signals to working signals after cleaning the contacts on my '78 but when the brake is depressed, the signals stop flashing. Release the brake and it's flashing again. The trouble with a 45 yr old bike is it's a 45 yrs old bike. Thanks for sharing Mike!
Thanks for taking the time to do this video. Great help as I am working on a Honda C50 In Ireland. All of us who never had the opportunity to work on these bikes and are trying to restore them, your help is invaluable. thanks Thomas
I personally can’t get enough of these electrical videos. It’s still my weakest area, but you make it look so simple. I learn more with each one. Thanks Mike!
it was simple and easy to understand .if you have to mention the cable itself they were of much better quality thick and solid .in new cars and motorbikes etc it is poor quality cables are so thin and fragile@@MiniBikeMike
Thank you so much for these videos! My grandpa left me a Honda 90 to inherit when he passed and I've been trying to learn all I can to fix it. Videos like these beginner friendly ones are incredibly helpful. Thank you for taking the time to make them.
Thanks Mike. I am really not savvy when it comes to wiring issues. Your video was interesting. I don't expect you to solve my issue. 1983 Honda CT110. Fronts signals work, back signals have power to the back, but the bulbs won't turn on when the switch is on. the tail light bulb begins to flash and at times when i put pressure on the left bulb it will begin to flash as does the tail light. I have thought about replacing the rear turn signals or just getting a complete new wiring harness. For now, I will just keep plugging away. Thanks for shedding some light on my issue. Mike, what a great video, like you mentioned in the video it's much better to see it live . That was so nice of you to make a video for me. I believe others will benefit from this . I have followed your video to the tee and I learned a lot .
I came here looking to troubleshoot a no spark issue on my neighbors trail 90 but this helps simplify the signals I am putting on my dual sport! Great video and good explanation, thank you!
couldn't be any clearer than this. What a helpful video Mike! Thanks for taking the time and sharing the information. I am sure this would help so many people like it does for me!
What kindness to take the time to help someone, and teaching so many more in the process. This is one of my weak areas too. I appreciate and really enjoy all your CT videos. Thank you!
Hey man! Just got me a 71’ ct90 with a modified 12v system. No stock blinkers so I’m gonna try my luck with wiring some. This video gives me hope, thank you!
thanks for this great video,i do have a 1980 honda express 6 volt system and my tail light bulbs has a 1154 number on it,i was wondering if the connection would be identical if i buy the led bulbs?thank you
Thank you for answering my question. Here is another one. on the turnsignal indicator light in the speedo the orange and lt. blue are hooked together at the bulb . seems like it should connect left and right together ??? any idea how they get isolated from each other.??? Really THANKS for your time
Hi Mike. Great tutorial, I've a 12v honda chaly and spent hours trying to get the head light and tail working. Not see my wife for hours ( bonus ) but I like how you've laid out the system for the turn signals. Can you do something or have you already got one?
looking at the socket for the indicator bulb it looks like the current that would hook left and right together would have to pass thru the bulb filiment POP !
So I've got a 1969 ct90. Then I've got a 1973 ct90 parts bike. The 69 has the turn signal switch. But I wanted to adopt the 73 blinkers front and back to the 69. I've heard that it was primarily wired. But it was left up to the United States state regulations to either put on the blinkers or not. Is this wire harness applicable to my 69?
excellent video thanks..My turn signals work but when on make the tail light blink opposite?? A lot of ct110s seem to have this problem (any ideas why)
I need help with my bike, any idea why when i have a my headlight on and use my right turn signal, it flashes the headlight and shuts off only the right front signal. The rear signal still says flashing. It doesn't happen to the left side of the bike. And when my headlight is off everything works fine... Any help would awesome thx.
So I just went through this process, realized the light blue and orange wires for the signals in the headlamp area, are switched. When I used my multimeter orange lit up left turn blue light up right…. Is this okay?

Hey i have honda super cub c90 with me. And im struggling with the battery charging system. can you tell me what are the component i need to set that up? it will be really appriciated
Hi there, I had a quick question about headlight options. I’ve been trying to use an LED headlight on the AC side of the rectifier on the headlight circuit and it keeps burning up LEDs and I did notice that around the light burns out the bike stumbles and dies but starts back up again and I am able to ride on. I did notice in testing the AC voltage fluctuates anywhere from 3V to 16v on that wire. All at idle. Any thoughts would be appreciated from anyone.
Been looking for the 69 since I was 12 years old. And I'm 44 now. I know that I'm making a franken bike. But I want to be safe on the road. And I'm not talking road trip. I'm talking car show.
I am getting power to both blue and orange wire in the back and I don't have lights at all up front do you need them to complete the circuit or can I just run signals out the back
My 1978 Honda aint even got the blinkers anymore. So, being the genius I am, i disconnected all unnecessary wires, so they cant talk to each other, and kill the engine. Just the bare bones minimum. Thats my way of doing things. Lol.
@MiniBikeMike I'm working on a LH switch right now and its a nightmare trying to get it working, and trying to find a replacement is hard, thats cheap... sorta.
@minibikemike I do have a question on an 84 ct110 the RH kill switch has a black wire and a brown w/ white stripe wire that I am confused where they go. Tried researching it and I haven't a clue where it goes.

Would a bad regulator in 6v system cause signals to not light - 76 yamaha xt500?

Contacts in the switch?

Any difference in wiring with a 84 ct110?
I doubt it. All Hondas are basically wired the same.
