After looking around on the Internet i found this to be the most helpful information in determining whether to go with a medicine ball vs slam ball to add to my home gym. Thanks.
A really useful youtube video, I have been really confused by the difference between Medicine, Wall and Slam ball. I have a big problem with my balance and coordination, I eventually settled on a bouncy 5Kg medicine ball really helps me, I love it.
Thanks, should have watched this before buying a 15kg slam ball, which although I will use, is far too heavy for me, and the exercises I have in mind. There's a reason 15kg slam balls are cheaper than the lighter ones on eBay- lack of demand. I now have a 4kg ball, which is more useful to me.
Thank you! If you're just slamming downward, a slam ball might be the best bet, but for verstaility (lateral tosses, med ball sprints, jump, single arm shots, etc) I think a wall ball is your best bet (soft medicine ball). Hope that helps!
Thanks awesome best explanation on UA-cam of which types of medicine balls to use I was going to buy the more expensive med balls now I’m going too buy more budget ones same as you I’m going to get a slam, wall and standerd med ball it will only be me using them so should last me a while some med ball brands can be expensive I can get all 3 balls for price of one of expensive brands I’ve just found your channel and subscribed thanks
Yeh, grip for sure, but I also like using them as a weight bearing prop (eg, med ball push-ups). Their rigidity allows you to put more force into them.
I think "wall ball" is the most versatile. My buddy just built a commercial gym a few months ago and stocked it with 10-20 lbs rogue wall balls. He has everyone from CrossFit folks to football teams working it in there, and no one has complained about the lack of slam balls and med balls (the hard ones), though I still believe they have their place for specific application
Nice video this nice one mate .but there are other ways you can work out with a medicine ball, today I decided to create a Christmas dance workout with a wall ball, not only did it tone up my body but it also worked my stamina it is definitely a fat burner
What will you prefer just to lose calories and loose weight I’m overweight and look to change my life so what should I look for I’m going to buy a 15 pounder but what ball ?
Your English is fine, Ismael (my Portuguese, on the other hand, is terrible). I asked a friend of mine a while back the same question (he was a buyer for a few Crossfit boxes), and he said Dynamax makes the best balls...the thing is, they're outrageously expensive...and he said despite the cost, he's still seen them split. I've used the Rogue, J/fit, and Rep fitness ones quite a bit, and they seem to hold up just fine for the cost. I just can't justify spending $150+ on a med ball.

I want to try this tai chi/qi gong ball training at home in my living room. Maybe a medicine ball would be a good decision. Thanks.

Really helpful, thanks!

What advantages does a medicine ball have over a slam ball? Grip?

TU for the details.
Good review, what would you recommend for strength and ab training/ soccer?

Sorry about that, Noelle--thanks for reminding me! I just added them to the description. Thanks again.

Is it okay to slam the slam ball on concrete floor?
I would like to know that also
You can but if you can setup a horse mat ($50 US) you’d be a lot better off.
