A compilation of some trains around the UK travelling at speed! All clips were taken of trains doing at least 75mph, but alot of them reaching the 125mph mark! All clips were taken between 28th April and 4th June 2010!

Even after nearly 40 years, the HSTs have a simple, elegant beauty none of the other quite match..

I absolutely LOVE British trains! Somehow, especially the HSTs, they still have that elegance and style from the early days, when rail travel was something special :)
I love every countries train systems.
Amtrak Adela has a Washington Boston line based on Bombardier train..
I'm not american. I know that New York Metro vans are delivered by Alstom.
The hull is made in Brazil. The rest in Hornell, New York

The station announcement used to say "stand back from the platform or you might get sucked off by the train" but too many trainspotter were getting excited by the thought standing to close and getting killed, true story, lol.

My house is opposite a south eastern train line and sometimes an old steam train,named the orient express, passes through. This happens rarely (like once or twice a year if we're lucky)

Ever thought about doing more trains at speed? Hampshire has a few stations where you get trains coming through!

@Charmed66Fan Its not a King's Cross unit. Its the same company "first capital connect" but they also operate between Brighton & Bedford, and that footage was at Bedford.

Yes, I noticed. There are a lot of videos like this on youtube including many videos showing steam locomotives with big oval wheels. But judging from the few comments about this problem, only very few people seem to notice it. I'm one of them but I'm not very happy about it.

I noticed how the Virgin Pendlino from Manchester Piccadilly - London Euston went from nine cars to eleven. Also, the trains are becoming more punctual.

Its cool to watch, my first experience of a high speed train passing at a platform was at Watford junction & Clapham Junction. A virgin train went past, and i honestly shit my self...XD

This is great! Gives a better impression of speed than a car/truck on a Motorway. And yet people still insist on wandering about on our roads with 70+ mph vehicles passing by, and they don't give it a thought. Get them to walk next to a railway line for a couple of miles and they might think again?!

2:56 is a realy nice catch. Video doesn't do the justice for the GWS diesel trains. They sound freaking powerfull in real life.
