- Mix of whistling high-speed trains in France:
TGV Haute-Picardie train station on LGV-Nord rail line.
Champagne-Ardenne TGV train statio on LGV-Est rail line.
Each TGV (gray-blue) train set & Thalys (maroon-gray) is 200m long, two power cars and eight carriages.
Eurostar (yellow-white) is ~400m long, two power cars and 18 carriages. So you can calculate the speed if you have time stopper.

Dude same thing for me. I used to watch this all the time for hours and hours on end. And even watching it now brings me joy. No matter my age or phase I will always love trains.
Same here. I also remembered watching this ever since I was a child. Even though I’m more of an aviation fan than a train fan, I still like trains and this video just melts my heart as it is an awesome train video to watch, even for those who remember the video to this day

I never forget my first experience with high speed trains. We were driving by car in Belgium at a speed of 130 Km/h. The TGV between Brussels and Paris passed us.... fsssssssst and gone out of sight. Must have been at least 400 Km/h. Awsome!

@ramadurai558 thank you very much. actually the footage is only from two days 3-4 hours each :) the compiling was few hours 4-6...
Excellent video! And great music which matches the sensation of speed and greatness of those superb trains! If I may make a gentle correction though, 320 km/h equals 200 mph, kenjryker corrected you too, but no biggie anyway!
As I suggest for so many other similar channels: don't use the zoom on train's approach, it distorts the train's true speed! (For future reference.)

@malbert34 ICE-3 trains are on service between Paris-Frankfurt. So they pass on French LGV Est rail line
Actually your right.
There is 32 full speed passing trains, 2 slow moving trains, 6 trains standing at station, and 1 train seen at ride from an other train (at relative speed of ±600km/h).

TGV RGV 2N2
TGV is the name used by SNCF, the French National Railway Network. TGV is copyrighted by the SNCF.
RGV is the name used by Alstom for the TGV, the manufacter of that awsome beast.
At least, it is a two levels TGV, TGV Duplex in SNCF language, RGV 2N2 in Alstom language.
You can see the TGV RGV 2N2 at an emergency stop with low adherence.

both are good. on Haute-Picardie are more types of trains (Eurostar, all Franch TGVs & Thalys). But Champagne-Ardenne has ICE-3 few times a day & trains pass faster (320km/h), but less train a day.
Few weeks ago I hiked along LGV-Est from Champagne-Ardenne & back. It was nice but too hot to enjoy (there is development of new highway near the station. you can walk on it...
btw: there is less trains on Sundays...
Impressive indeed! I enjoyed the mingling of TGVs, Eurostars and ICE's. In America a 4-track line would be reserved for freight 23.5 hours of the day. Watching a ten 3 km long freight trains pass by at 80KM/h followed by an Amtrak at 120KM/h is a bit less interesting; its very provincial. I think the USA is waiting for vactrains to become practical before we jump onboard this "high-speed rail" thing....sigh! Anyway,I liked the music as it was mixed with the audio of the flying trains. Tres bon!
