Fast Diesel Trains!
Вставка
- Опубліковано 9 жов 2014
- They're not the fastest trains in the country, but they still fly all over the U.S! It's Fast Diesel Trains! Come along for a look at several passenger and some freight trains pulled by diesels flying down the track! I wasn't able to record the speeds of all the trains, but as good as I can estimate, these trains are all moving in the range of 60 to 90 miles per hour, with many of the passenger trains toward the upper end of that range.

Very fast paced. Quite exciting.
Lights flashin', bells ringin', horns blarin'. I love to see all that awesome power haulin' ass down the rails. Plus the doppler effect as they fly by. It's great!
Well I travelled on train from New York to Chicago and L.A and enjoyed every minute
mate for some reason i get tears by this video, i mean i know the reason, i used to watch this with my grandmother when i was younger like 9-10 years old, she passed away in october 26 2019, and everytime time i comeback i remember her. thank you coaster for such an amazing video.
A nice selection of trains, great production, and fun to watch. What the hell's not to like?

nostalgic to see this video again, it was the video I watched the most when I was little
Thanks for posting this. I stop off at small town displays that featured retired locomotives, usually on a track with some historical plaque mounted on the fence. But I am always in awe of their sheer beauty - even though it's old tech. Amazing!
Love this video!!! I like riding steam trains around the country. It is fun to film them coming through a tunnel from the middle of the tracks perspective.

I'm from Greece and I'm genuinely impressed by the railways in California. I always hear about infrequent routes, slow trains and that the trains there are mediocre compared to the European ones but after seeing this, I don't think it's so bad. I mean come on, I could easily spend an entire day riding and filming these trains.
Absolutely amazing! The catches! The sky! Everything!
Thank you kindly for the gentle memories of my Dad worked on the railroad
My daddy also worked for Illinois central railroad. He retired after 30 yes. I learned a lot from him about taking care of my back by wearing a large leather belt. The kind weight lifters wear. Getting a derailed train back on the tracks was hard work even with heavy equipment.
I love trains it.s nice vidéo iam SNTF from algeria
Asa Fraust My dad never worked in the RR but he would love to see me as one since I'm a train fanatic
Outstanding video. The paint work on the trains are real class.

My most favorite Amtrak route is the route of the Pacific Surfliners & Coast Starlight which from Los Angeles to San Luis Obispo the Pacific Surfliners & Coast Starlight share the same route. I rode on 5/27/2017 from San Diego to Oxnard on Pacific Surfliner train 769 and I enjoyed my trip very much, I returned to San Diego the same day on Pacific Surfliner 1790 after visiting in Ventura & got to sightsee Oxnard & Ventura on Gold Coast Transit bus route 6. In the future when I'm in the San Diego area I will be riding the Pacific Surfliners to & from Los Angeles & Oxnard alternating between the 2 cities. I travel long distance on Amtrak and will be riding Amtrak more often.

I remembered i saw a train like the one from 5:55 at soccer and i heard the horn sound.
Thanks for making this video and all your others i love trains so much
While I love trains in general, the most stimulating aspect of them is the haunting, penetrating sounds of diesel air horns! Several years ago, I was on the deck of a boat on the lower part of Lake Champlain enjoying a cigar and cocktail at just past midnight, when I heard the distant sound of the Montrealer's air horns. To me, a magical, wonderful sound that has no equal.
Sadly here in Calgary, train horns, and church bells ringing don't exist anymore due tonier sensitive people who like a silent sterile environment! Sad! No life's
@@agems56 - Wow! That is sad for sure. I think those who have an issue with such wonderful sounds that most of us grew up with and still managed to survive, should move to the middle of the forest. But then, they would no doubt complain about the loud animal sounds!
Thank you coasterfan 😘

In Feb. 1952 my grandparents, living in the small town of Wautoma, Wisconsin went to the railroad station and caught the train which took them to Oshkosh, then Chicago and then to California to see their daughter. Then to Oregon to see her brother. While in California they got a call saying that I was born. Today you would have to drive to Milwaukee or Appleton to get a plane that would take you to Chicago. This was true of many little towns around here. For example, Wautoma is still only about 2000 people in the city, but because it is a tourist town, there are many more around there. The RR was taken up when I was in high school. It is sort of sad that in those days a person could go just a few miles to a RR station and go anywhere, but now you have to travel by car so far, you might as well drive to your destination.

Massive! Totally awesome.
Many people here watched this video when young, me too i can remember every train off theur Sounds, good times :)
(Ik I’m late, but tbh I don’t care) To the people who say these trains are too loud low down ur volume. And if it’s still too loud or if you don’t like it then it’s not for you. Too many comments saying “These trains are too loud.” And to the people saying that are disliking the video then watch another silly video. Don’t comment and Shame this man’s hard work! And why is everyone arguing that steam trains are better then diesel, and that diesel are better than steam?
I absolutely adore the surfliner because I know that service travels at up to 90 miles an hour on old Santa Fe tracks; truly amazing
1:51, are you sure this is 90mph? Looks like 100 to me

I saw a video where it passed through at 95 or even more, so fast it had to go into emergency near Oceanside but I reckon 90 is regular service through Carlsbad Northbound.
