Fun story especially about the Bakery quilt shop you had mentioned….lolo…our daughter is born on Valentines day, so for 30 yrs it has been birthday parties…last fall she moved a couple hrs away to attend the U of S…my husband said we need to celebrate Valentines this year also…lol so he said road trip to Deadwood SD…i was so excited as i knew we would travel throughout Belle Fouche..i even showed him the video of you mentioning the quilt store..lol..we left Saskatchewan sunday, via Minot for some shopping and arrived on Monday night to Deadwood…we got snowed in yesterday so today we went to the quilting shop…you are absolutely right, her shop was amazing and overwhelming lolo…i actually mentioned the only way I knew about her shop was via your utube…lolo..I had sew much fun shopping….definitely a haul…lolo..so thank you for mentioning her shop…it was worth the trip….have fun on your holidays…I definitely have been spoiled this Valentines day….
Oh, Deadwood is such a fun place!! I'm glad you got to stop at The Bakery!! I don't think Annie would know what a flosstube is. 😆 what a fantastic Valentine's trip!!
Just came off a Disney cruise ( not a city of children). I took too many clothes there was a laundry on our deck so grateful for that. Swimsuit all day for days at sea and something casual for dinner. Hope you have a great time and enjoy and relax.
Have a great time on the cruise! On your Hawk Run, I would start another block next to original using 1 thread so you can see them side by side to decide which is better. Procrastinator is my nickname! You still have plenty of time to pack! Judy
Theresa, stitch what you love gurl!! Don't feel like you have to stitch what every other flosstuber is doing--i like the unique you. As far as on cruise--take your dramamine or whatever works for you and relax stitching. Maybe take a special new start that you'll remember that is when you started it. Easy small projects are fun cuz you can people watch if you don't have to count so intensely. Have a great time and stay in the moment...how often do you cruise?!?
Enjoy your cruise! I know how you feel, I live in Syracuse, NY and we see about the same amount of sun as you in the winter. Went on a 7 day cruise in January. It was amazing, and I came back tan as well. I love your videos, so you checking in would be fun!!
Yes, please do a daily check in while on your cruise. Also, Look for a rubber duck. I found a pink rubber duck. He had a tag on him that explained all about the cruisin duck. So keep an eye out! Enjoy!
@@gardengoosestitcher I always take waaaaay too much! 4 is the most I have taken and only worked on 1 for like 5 min 😂😂😂 But better take them and not stitch on them than to want to stitch and have nothing to stitch 🤷🏻♀️

I vote yes for daily checkins from your cruise. We’re going on an Alaskan cruise later this year, so of course I’ve been obsessed with cruise vlogs lately.
That is exciting! There is a lot of content on cruising, I think we've watched a dozen tours and tips for our ship. Plus, vlogs about the islands we're going to.
I took four whips and I think I got in four stitches in one WIP while actually on the ship. There was just so much to do and explore. I stitched on the plane and during layovers.

I just joined the Colour & Cotton All Colors Club for 5 skeins each month too with the same colors you showed being my first shipment and I’m so looking forward to my envelope each month. 🎉. Regarding your Hawk Run Hollow piece, I know this probably sounds wasteful but I am just being completely honest… I think I would opt to just cut that section out and salvage the rest. If there isn’t enough left for that pattern, then I’d use it for something else and select/buy another piece of fabric (same or different) to restart it. I’m sure I would reason it as a “happy accident” which allows the ability to go a bit darker to avoid having to worry about the light colors showing. You would also have the option to switch to 16 count if that is more of your sweet spot since you’ll be working on it for quite a long time.
When I'm faced with ripping out a section of stitching (or other unpleasant task) I will set a timer. Just like making a little kid get a job done. haha When the timer runs out, do something else if you want. More often than not, just getting started is the hardest part, then I get into the groove of the fix and get it done. Then I can begin again and get back to enjoying the project. Enjoy your cruise!
That's too bad about the frogging situation. Any chance you can just cut that piece out and still have enough fabric left to stitch the whole sampler? If not, then definitely move onto the next block and frog out the first one bit by bit. I hope you have a great time on your cruise! Your PS January sampler looks great!

If you film it, I’ll watch it. 😆 I wanted to suggest that on that tight project, was it 18 or 36? I struggled and didn’t like over one. I switched to a smaller needle and it helped tremendously. ❤

This is my first cruise ever. I'm nervous and excited, and I'm definitely going to relax as much as a mom on vacation can. 😆
