Thanks for the birthday wishes. I wonder if Carolyn's and my enthusiasm for cross stitch will ever wane, or if we are lifers - haha! Happy Crafting! -Anna
Your intro music just makes me smile. Love it along with the catwalk, thumbs up, and of course your stitching. Thanks for spending your time sharing your gifts with me.
It's always nice to watch you. I am a fullcover stitcher and i like to stitch the seasons. With fullcover i don't feel the presser to finish, just the joy of stitching. I want to stitch 2000 stitches in 1 project and move on to the next one, this way i can touch 4 project and have a nice progress on it. Happy stitching lady's. Greetings from the Netherlands.
Greeting to you, Geertje! 2000 stitches! You know, I have no idea how many stitches I stitch in an average evening. I'm going to start estimating. Happy Crafting. -Anna
I've been really enjoying your flosstubes. You two are having the same conversation I've had with myself about how many projects to have on the go at once. I'm a fairly monogamous stitcher, will have a larger piece and then something small and easy that I don't have to think about on days when I want something mindful and relaxing. I may also have a couple of more difficult patterns with cutwork,, specialty stitches etc., the kind of pattern that I need to do in increments, and at times when I'm operating on all cylinders 😄 and ready for major focus. Each of us fines our sweet spot, and it may change from time to time. Take care, and happy stitching.
Your stitching is so pretty. I love your videos. So positive and inspirational. Thanks for the beautiful Guo Pei Couture Fantasy pictures. Breathtaking!!!
Love your progress! I talk about the central motif in the chart pack - The central motif with the heart, above crown, and flower branches is one the most religious symbols found on their (Pa German Mennonite) embroideries. What is lacking from this motif, are the usual surrounding initials: OEHBDDE. Each initial stands for the first line in a hymn O Edel Herz Bednek Dein End (“O noble heart, consider thine end…”, and the line continues with: “who knows how soon the course is run.”).
You're so kind (and patient) to share this information with us, Barbara. So sorry we didn't notice the explanation on the pattern - lesson learned. I am enjoying this stitch immensely! Happy Crafting. -Anna
Something my mother did when we were children growing up was she made “Chicken Feed” It is M&M’s, peanuts, Candy Corn, Peanut M&M’s, whatever candy she could find and popcorn. She would mix all of this in a stock pot and we would sit and watch Lawrence Welk, Mutual of Omaha and Walt Disney on Saturday nights and eat Chicken Feed. She would do about the same thing at Christmas time only she turned them into popcorn balls and hang them on our tree. Keep up the good work ladies, enjoy watching you both.
Belated birthday wishes, Anna. You will love the Smith Sampler by The Scarlet House. Thank you for sharing the pictures from the exhibit. Breathtaking! Carolyn, your knitting is amazing!!!
Thanks for the birthday wishes - I had a joyful birthday week! Can't wait to start the Smith Sampler - when will the time be right?! We shall see. Carolyn's knitted garments make our whole family happy - she wears them almost every day, and they are just so her. Happy Crafting! -Anna
I am always so encouraged after watching your FlossTubes. I feel like I want to go investigate something 😂 I may even try the Modern Folk Embroidery year long project. I am so glad that you are enjoying using the loop method for a single thread. This is certainly my preferred method. I would certainly love to adopt your Plumb Street Sampler project. The project looks amazing and Paulette is certainly one of my favorite designers. ❤
I hadn't looked at Frederika in months and was so happy to see her again - I thought, "Oooh, I still like you!" I've been working on Seasons of the Heart: Winter, but hope to stitch a bit on Frederika next week. Happy Crafting! -Anna
You are ready for fashion week in NYC!😂. I’m new to the flosstube world and I am so happy. I stitch and my sister knits so I can’t wait to show her your knitted items. Thanks, Jill
What a way to start my Friday hearing my name not once but multiple times; I feel like a ROCK STAR ⭐️. So happy you enjoyed my candy corn trio and yes to Anna, it is me and the Mary Ann March sampler that I put my name at the bottom! Anyway as usual you knocked it out of the park with your video and you are both ROCK ATARS to me. Until next time, happy stitching 😊
We appreciate you, Mary. Glad you had fun with our toast to you! And thanks, I looked up your Mary Anne March again right after we filmed - so pretty. As always, Happy Crafting. -Anna
Jean Farish & Kitten Stitcher both have excellent Floss Tubes on pinning your crossstitch prior to framing. I use a magnetic foldable holder from Cocoknits to secure my charts. It does an excellent job. Thanks again for a fun, informative floss tube.
Another fun and informative video! I have been stitching for almost (gasp) 40 years. For the first 15 to 20 years I thought I was only allowed to stitch one piece at a time. I now usually have 10-20 WIPs going at a time. I go with the flow, enjoy whatever I'm stitching and try to get in a finish every few months to feel like I'm making some progress. Good luck finding a framer. I would suggest taking in a small piece first to see if you like their work without the fear of having a larger piece framed incorrectly. Happy stitching!
So fun to hear about this part of your stitching story, Kathy. When I came back to cross stitching recently, I really didn't understand multiple WIPs - now I do - but like you, need the satisfaction of seeing things through, at least every once in a while. :) I can see the wisdom of taking in a small piece first to a framer - thanks. As always, Happy Crafting. -Anna
Great video Anna and Carolyn!!!! Happy Belated Birthday Anna. I love what both of you are wearing, your finished objects AND your WIPs! Carolyn, I'm glad you tried the single strand loop start. I prefer to frame on my own due to a previous experience at a local frame shop. One piece I previously sent to Jill Rensel Studio in Ogden, Utah--which I actually visited in September! They are phenomenal. And the mouse in the wisteria???? Oh. My. Freaking. Goodness!!! I can't even . . . . .
Thanks for the birthday wishes! And for the framing recommendation. I'm interested in learning how to frame on my own - to at least try it. The mouse incident was actually very funny. We said to the wait staff - this was the right family for this to happen to! Happy Crafting, Stacey! -Anna
That exhibit is amazing......Wow!! thank you for sharing. I would love to stitched Plum Street but I never stitched on 36ct I just got back into Cross stitch last year, and when I was stitching in the late 80's and 90's there was mostly Aida. I am currently stitching with Vickie Clayton silks for the first time they are beautiful and I am doing is small stockings from Blackbird Designs Home for the Holidays There are lots of stitching goodness in there, Love the fruits of Plenty by Modern Folk.
I stitched on Aida in the 80s, too, and also returned to cross stitch in recent years. I can imagine how beautiful the silks look - enjoy! Happy Crafting to you. -Anna
Enjoyed the video and Happy Birthday! Great presents. Love all the progress and you are right, when I knit I finish the project. Currently making some Ascots for gifts and of course I am always knitting socks for my husband and I. Will be knitting some Shelby mittens too. But cross stitching, I have too many projects but for Sampler September, I surprised myself and worked on one sampler the whole month and then on Thursdays I stitched on a red sampler. Also did one red thread before bed on some small samplers. I actually got a lot of progress done and finished both of them the first week of October so started another sampler to focus on for the month and a new red sampler. My experience with framing has been good and bad but in the 80’s where I learned how to do cross stitching, the owner also did framing and it was excellent. But then she passed away and I tried Michaels and it was a disaster but my son had prints done there and it was done very well. My brother took something I did for my Mom to his framer in New York and it was not good at all so I really think if you ask if they have worked with cross stitching then you can find out if anyone is good. I eventually found a great framer and they take such great care of my linen and lace it for me, always pleased. Not sure if Katie Strachan mentioned a framer her Mom used near your area. You can also call Needle in a Haystack to see if she can recommend a framer. Hope that helps. I just watched Sarah’s Stitchy Spot and she talked about taking your oldest WIP and working on it for 7 days, she saw someone do that and it worked out well. Going to try that with one of mine. It’s hard when you knit and cross stitch for I tend to knit during the day and cross stitch at night but little by little I get some done. My son is getting married next year so I ordered two beautiful samplers from The Attic. I start radiation next week for five weeks so these two samplers are going to get me through that. Hopefully I will feel like stitching! Love the cat walk!
Hi Renee! Your red samplers have been making me so happy on my Instagram feed! My oldest WIP is the family sampler I charted and started in the 80s - I'm going to think about that idea... I'm glad you have some plans for some special stitching while you're receiving radiation. I will be thinking about you. -Anna
Carolyn I love your Quaker Pumpkins! I have the pattern and also want to stitch it without the words. So far I frame my own pieces using pins and foam core and frames I have ordered online or found in local stores. Happy belated birthday Anna! What wonderful gifts you received. I love the patterns your daughter selected for you.
I hadn't seen Carolyn's Quaker Pumpkins in months and months - it is gorgeous - I hope you stitch it, Melodie! Thanks for letting us know how you frame. And thanks for the birthday wishes! It was very touching to me that my daughter planned that surprise. Happy Crafting! -Anna
I watch a fair amount of floss tube and you ladies are my favorite! Love your curious approach to all crafts. Mathematicians who sew -- if you can't frame your own needlework, no one can! Would you pay someone $150 to block a sweater you finished knitting? I think lacing (my preferred method as it allows you to adjust the piece after lacing) or pinning are similar "finishing" steps. Not fun, just takes time and a little trial and error, but saves lots of $$ for buying linen and patterns 🙂. Stephanie has a nice video on Lindy Stitches floss tube that shows how to lace without cutting a thread length - game changer for me. I have had good luck with buying frames online - there are several places, I've used Custom Framing. I don't know about the single thread loop method, so off to see what that entails. Thanks for posting your videos - always a real treat.
Thanks for your kind words. And for making me laugh - yes, I think Carolyn and I need to figure out this framing thing. I will definitely check out the lacing video recommendation. Happy Crafting! -Anna
Hi, Elizabeth! I am teaching a sewing class (make your own pencil case) at school this week and am so looking forward to it. Wishing you a great week, too. And of course, Happy Crafting. -Anna
Happy birthday Anna. You ladies always amuse me. I have been sending my cross stitch pieces to a place called L & M framing in Bativia Ohio. She pins and does a beautiful job. I have sent some pieces to total framing and it’s been a year.
Thank you for the birthday wishes, Liz. And thanks so much for the framing information. I'm so curious to hear where Carolyn decides to go to get her piece framed! Happy Crafting. -Anna
Hi ladies! A friend recommended your videos, and I am so glad she did! ♥️ I enjoy all of your projects, and your excitement is contagious! I would love to adopt your Spring Hare. Two over two on 36ct is my favorite stitching combination ♥️I hope you are having a wonderful October! Happy stitching! ♥️🧵♥️
Welcome, Megan! I have noted your interest in Spring Moon. Isn't it fun the way we all have our preferences, while cross stitching? Happy Crafting to you. -Anna
Hi Ladies, another great video. I love the green cowl knit Caroline. Managing wips is a fun thing to think about and I change my thought process' regarding this issues continually . At the moment working to the end on the piece I am on and then will grab whatever takes my fancy . It might be the seasonal etchings piece you showed Anna as I bought that a few weeks ago after admiring your piece. Don't be surprised if you find a system and then change your mind a week later. !! Have a wonderful month. Happy crafting to you both.
Ah - interesting that your thought process about WIPs changes... Can't wait to see your finish and what you choose next! Happy Crafting to you, too, Ali! -Anna
Your videos are wonderful. I anxiously await the next one. The Enneagram 1 in me loves how organized they are the assignments you give each other. Happy Birthday Anna! 🎉
I would love to finish the picture! It’s beautiful!! That picture would be hung up in a second!! You have such nice finishes on your catwalk! Stay safe and healthy!
I always enjoy hearing what count and how many strands folks enjoy stitching with! I have noted your interest in Spring Moon. Happy Crafting, Abi. -Anna
Another great Flosstube! Elizabeth Ann Can Stitch has a tutorial or two about framing. She pins and sometimes has Michael’s make a custom frame and often she buys her frames online. The two Michael’s closest to me (San Mateo & Redwood City) both use sticky board so I don’t have them do my framing. I’ve tried Hobby Lobby in San Mateo and they lace (at least the last time I used them they did) but the results have been hit and miss with them so I too would like to know if there’s a good needlecraft framer in the Bay Area. Happy stitching!
Thanks for sharing this local information, Linda! I find Liz's videos really easy to follow - will check those out. I wonder what University Art in Redwood City offers... I may pop in there and ask some questions. Happy Crafting! -Anna
I love watching you ladies! My sister and I always say that you two remind us of us two! And, I am feeling inspired to expand my knitting knowledge. I love your Quaker Pumpkins and I don't know if anyone mentioned this already, but it appears some stitches may be missing from the bottom left border between two triangles. Perhaps that was intentional but thought I'd point it out before you framed it. I hope you don't mind me saying that! I love all the projects you ladies do and I love your thoughtfulness and enthusiasm!
I love seeing what you are wearing! So impressed with your craftsmanship. I still haven’t figured out what works best for me - starting something seasonally then setting it aside until later or just keep going. I’m still learning what works! I really appreciate hearing what works for others as it may click for me too.
Isn't fun to hear about others' stitching habits? Thanks for sharing yours, Heidi! I've been working on Seasons of the Heart: Winter - my desire to finish it soon is still strong. Happy Crafting! -Anna
Thanks for another great flosstube ladies. I really love your one colour fruits of plenty. They both look amazing on the coloured fabrics with white thread. And Jane Hardy - Anna! Beautiful! Carolyn - you've made me want to dig out some Pennsylvanian Dutch samplers charts and see if there are any "water bugs" on them.
Yum - enjoy your treat! Can't say enough about Guo Pei - there are some videos of her fashion shows online if you want to see more of the beauty. Happy Crafting, Allison! -Anna
Another great video! Happy birthday Anna! What wonderful birthday presents - I love love love the Smith Sampler- the swan is so striking. Carolyn- I love the Quaker Pumpkins. About framing: you could ask Needle in a Haystack who they would recommend- they must know someone. If you lace or pin you could certainly take it to Michael’s. The challenge with a piece with an outline border is getting the lines straight. Some people recommend doing a running stitch around the piece so that you can line it up with the edge of the foam core - lacing is probably better for that because you can wiggle the fabric around better. I recognized the clockwork shawl as soon as I saw it - I knit one in blue and acid green probably 15 years ago. Anna, I loved your museum visit. The dresses were amazing. You’ve given me a great idea for an outing when I visit my daughter for Thanksgiving. Can’t wait to see your progress next time!
Oh Trudy, I highly recommend the Guo Pei exhibit! You may have to get tickets ahead of time. I like your idea about consulting Needle in a Haystack about framing. And amazing about the clockwork shawl! Thanks so much for the birthday wishes and Happy Crafting! -Anna
When you were discussing putting things away for awhile, I just wanted to say that I have a sampler laid aside that has a lot of black in it. I got sick of black and finished a small rectangular pin cushion for fall instead. I am also doing another small called the Redbird Sampler. Both have relieved the black boredom and I will go back to the first soon. You were discussing finishing your work earlier. I use 3/4" pins and pin into the edges of foam core board. Sometimes I frame it myself and sometimes my local Hobby Lobby or Michaels. I like to actually see the frames not on computer. Doing part of the finishing saves money and I have the satisfaction of knowing the piece is as I want it. Baby J's blanket looks great. I like Icord edges even though they take a long time to do. Since you are the mistress of your knitting, only you can decide!
It's fun to hear about your stitching decision making, Sue. I think Carolyn is going to try some pinning. I want to become a skilled lacer, to feel confident with any size piece. I wish you could touch Baby J's blanket - it is so cozy. Happy Crafting to you! -Anna
I just found your flosstube and really enjoyed it. I just subscribed and I look forward to future episodes. I am interested in the Plum Street Spring Moon sampler.
Welcome, Viviannette, and thanks for your kind words. Carolyn and I continue to have a lot of fun making these videos! I have noted your interest in Spring Moon. Happy Crafting! -Anna
Another fantastic floss tube. Thank you for sharing all your beautiful work! Love love the Fruit of Plenty! I’m not ready for such a large project but really want to try a monochromatic design.
Oooh, I'm excited for you - I have really enjoyed some small monochromatic designs! Modern Folk Embroidery has a "Pincushions & Smalls" section on the website. Happy Crafting, Danette! -Anna
Great video! I can't wait to try the candy corn mix. Carolyn, I'm getting ready to start The Rev soon. I think I'll stitch it on Needle and Flax's Hemingway 32 ct. Looking forward to seeing what linen you use.
I'm looking forward to seeing Carolyn's start, too! And hearing about all the details. Carolyn and I are fans of Needle and Flax linen - yours will look fabulous on Hemingway, Kim! Enjoy your new start and Happy Crafting. -Anna
Catching up on flosstube after travelling. So lovely to join you again. I’m doing my first Stephen West MKAL. Lots of fun. Have not seen your shawl pattern before surprisingly enough. What a great idea with your tiny cats. I have 3 small dog ornaments ( one is glass from Venice) that I have had for years. Think I might start moving them around. Happy stitching ladies. 😊
Haha - I hope you enjoy moving your small dogs around! Have fun watching FlossTube (I love when I have a list of videos to watch!) and Happy Crafting, Lynette. -Anna
Another super video ladies. Always love seeing your finished projects and WIPs also. Please don’t be mad but I believe you missed a cross on bottom of the pumpkin piece. Everything looks beautiful. Thanks for sharing.
Congratulations you are the new owner of the Plum Street Spring Moon project. Please email your mailing address to us at we.are.curiouscrafters@gmail.com. I am going to be traveling for the next week and will mail your package out the week of November 14th. Happy Crafting --Carolyn
Enjoyed your video - really liked your green shawl; I used to knit all the time as a kid and young adult - have been thinking about getting back to knitting/crocheting again. Would love to work on your Plum Street project - I don’t believe I have stitched any of her designs yet which is weird since I have been stitching for a long long while .
Sounds like the itch to knit is coming back! Carolyn's green shawl is even more gorgeous in person. I have noted your interest in Spring Moon. Happy Crafting to you, Nupur. -Anna
I would love to finish your Plum Street sampler, you worked so hard on it and it’s so beautiful. I live in very Northern California and am trying to convince my husband to take me to San Francisco, thinking of taking the train in Dunsmuir.
Hi Stacy! I have noted your interest in Spring Moon. Here's hoping you get your trip to San Fransisco - always so much to see and do. Happy Crafting. -Anna
Hi Stacy -- The first name we drew for the Plum Street sampler never contacted us, so we drew a second name -- and it was YOU! If you are still interested in Spring Moon please send us your mailing address and I'll pop it in the mail. You can email me at we.are.curiouscrafters@gmail.com. Happy Stitching! -Carolyn
You two always share good stuff! Definitely ask any framer questions on their methods for framing. I had a personal connection with a framer at Michaels that took extreme care with my pieces. We moved to a rural area with the nearest custom frame shop/box stores 40 minutes away. I decided to order my own frames and stretch them myself, which I'm comfortable in doing. However, I took a very large Chatelaine to the custom frame shop to get a handcut mat made. I asked her method of stretching cross stitch and was shocked. She said she'd staple it along the front of the foam core. Being that we live in the deep south, where it's extremely humid, I said that I'd lace it myself. I've laced, I've pinned, I've used sticking tape, but never have I ever considered stapling an acceptable method, especially for a project that cost about $300 in materials alone.
Hearing about people's framing experiences is so helpful to Carolyn and me - thanks for sharing yours, Wendy. I'm gathering a list of questions to ask and things to consider. Happy Crafting to you! -Anna
I’d love to finish your Spring Moon! I have a local framer I found that’s great however after a few years of getting some stitching framed I’ve noticed the fabric has loosened a bit. I’m thinking about pulling it out and lacing it myself and popping it back in. I definitely plan on doing my own lacing and bringing it to a framer from here on out.
Thanks for the framing information - I think I'm leaning towards building my lacing skills and doing that part myself (I've done one small piece). Carolyn wants to try some pinning to compare. I have noted your interest in Spring Moon! Happy Crafting! -Anna
Wonderful video! I love the long videos. All the wips are looking fantastic. And Carolyn’s Quaker Pumpkins is 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼. For the bottom middle band, did you just use the motifs from one of the pumpkins? I really love what you did at the bottom to replace the words. Regarding wips, I have learned that I mostly like stitching in season, so I will put away a project if it doesn’t fit the next season, UNLESS, I am close to a finish or really want to get it framed (like Winter Rose Manor.......I think I stitched a lot of it during spring and summer months).
It's interesting to me how much the seasons affect so many of our choices! I agree - Carolyn's piece is beautiful. I'll check in with her about her changes to the pattern. Happy Crafting, Michelle! -Anna
Hi Michelle -- for the extra orange border I used the alternating motifs that are around the edge of the left most pumpkin. I started on the left and the last motif got cut off on the right edge, but it doesn't bother my eye. Let me know if you want a close up photo or more details. Happy Crafting! -Carolyn
@@we.are.curiouscrafters It looks fantastic, Carolyn! I think I can figure it out from the video. I’ll take a still and zoom on it. If that doesn’t work, I’ll let you know. Thank you so much!!
I love the colors you're both wearing but especially that gray teal on Anna! There is not, to my knowledge, a good framer around here that can handle stitching - the one we used closed years ago. Even if you block and lace the piece yourself, it should still go to a specialty framer because stitching has specific requirements. The stitching should never touch the glass, all materials have to be archival grade and acid free, etc etc. If you really do want to go local and no one has suggestions on a needlework framer, I use the Studio Shop here in Burlingame for non needlework framing and they are very good. My mother had them make the museum glass case for the jewelry box I made her and it was beautifully done. You can absolutely both smash through SOH Winter - once the border is in, it goes really quickly. The border is relatively slow going because of all the color changes, but after that it really speeds up. Carolyn, your description of the relative feel of the projects - we put a little makeup on! - make me crack up. So true, and it's the beauty of stitching, there's a project for every mood. Loved the sisters having fun vibe in this episode, which was strong. This comment is giving Tolstoy vibes it's so long but OMG the Guo Pei exhibition! I bought the exhibition book but haven't made it up. Masterpieces. Also, happy birthday and you are correct on Joy & Good Cheer - kits are out November 1 at 8:15 AM...
So much to think about with framing! I have two places down here where I want to do a "pop in and chat" - ask the critical questions. I appreciate knowing about the Burlingame option - thank you. I've loved every minute I've spent with SOH Winter this week and can't wait to get back to it when I return from a weekend getaway. I'm in for Joy & Good Cheer (fingers crossed)! Thanks for the birthday wishes, Katie. And I hope you get up to Guo Pei - it's sure to inspire. Happy Crafting, always and forever. -Anna
I like this idea a lot! Will do. Hopefully both Carolyn and I will have at least one framed piece in the next few months - we will show them off for sure. Happy Crafting. -Anna
I don't know if anyone has brought this to your attention, but you are missing one of the diamond shapes at the bottom. That is beautiful and you are enabling me to buy this.. As far as framing, you have to be careful when framing at your big box places as some of those people are not trained in stretching cross stitch. I know Total Frame does a great job. My framer is in Pennsylvania...a small shop, but he is fabulous. You can do your lacing and then by a custom frame, either at a big box store or on line.
I sent you a PM through Instagram on some framing I sent to another state. I love their work. I had 5 pieces ruined by a store you mentioned in your video. They torn the linen on all 5 pieces. I was devastated. It’s hard to find someone you trust and since my bad experience I have them hold off on putting the backing paper on the frame so I can see it. I’ve found someone locally that does a great job.
Birthday greetings Anna from Kuching, Sarawak, East Malaysia. I always look forward to your videos. We do not have linen available here. I only stitch on Aida.
Hmmm...re: Framing work. First, Big Box (i.e., Michael's) should be your last option. Check your area for framers (general) and then visit their shops. Don't just ask them if they frame stitching; go there to SEE samples. Check local stitchers for their recommendations if you're uncertain (I live in Alberta; I can't help you there!). Ask them about their supplies -- are they archival/acid-free (most are these days, but ask anyway). Decide on whether or not you want glass, and what type (museum quality, plexiglass (easy to transport) or "regular"). Decide whether or not you want a mat, or just 'spacers' (to keep the frame from touching the fabric). Have a budget in mind, and be aware that there are supply chain issues with fram molding as with anything else. Be prepared to be patient. Slow stitch = slow framing, but it's worth it. 😊
Margaret - thank you so much for all these details! They are super helpful. Carolyn and I appreciate everyone being so generous about sharing their knowledge. Happy Crafting to you! -Anna
Good morning!! Could you please recommend some cross stitch stores in San Francisco to visit? I live in northern California and will be out that way in a little bit. Love your videos and y'all. Thank you!!
Hi! I only know of one cross stitch store - Needle in a Haystack in Alameda. There is also Needlepoint Inc in San Fransisco, if you want to see their wall of silk (which is spectacular). Happy Crafting! -Anna
Hi Ladies! I wish I knew of a needlework framer in the Bay Area that I could recommend but unfortunately I don't. The majority of the time I pin and lace my own work on acid free foam core that I buy from the framing department at Michael's. These days I've been ordering my frames on Etsy if I need them in a custom size.
Thanks, Olivia! Carolyn and I are going to have to start visiting some framing stores and asking some questions. My friend who paints just recommended a framer, but I need to check the prices... Great to know we can get custom frames on Etsy. Happy Crafting! -Anna
Not sure if you address this in FT #13 since I’m watching these in order…..Closed captioning and the transcript are not options on this video. If this is an option you need to toggle, please keep this in mind for future videos. Thank you!
I just love your enthusiasm, ladies! You are so fun to watch. Happy birthday Anna!
That music makes me smile, too! :) Happy Crafting, Courtnie! -Anna
Your videos are so refreshing and inspiring, love the cat walk. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for the kind words! Made me smile. Happy Crafting, Sofia. -Anna
-Anna
Another great video - always enjoy watching!!
Thanks, Bonnie! Happy Crafting to you.
It's fun to hear about your stitching rhythm, Arleen! I have a feeling I'm always going to have more WIPs than Carolyn - haha! -Anna
Your stitching is so pretty. I love your videos. So positive and inspirational. Thanks for the beautiful Guo Pei Couture Fantasy pictures. Breathtaking!!!
Your comments are so sweet, Alice. Thank you. I will never forget my experience seeing the Guo Pei dresses. Happy Crafting. -Anna
Chicken Feed!!! Such a great story. Thanks for sharing it, Robin. And Happy Crafting! -Anna
The variety of things you share makes the time go quickly. I’m going to have to try candy corn, peanuts and M&M’s together. I love all three! 🪡🪡🪡
If you already love all three, a predict you'll love the combo! Enjoy! Happy Crafting to you. -Anna
Love you guys-Happy belated Birthday!
Hi Sharon! Thanks for the birthday wishes and Happy Crafting! -Anna
Great video as always thank you for sharing 👍🏽💕☺️
:) Happy Crafting to you! -Anna
Thanks for this feedback! Have you tried any of Jacob's charts before? I have noted your interest in Spring Moon, Carol. Happy Crafting! -Anna
Great podcast! I was so excited to see Frederika again😄, beautiful piece.
I hadn't looked at Frederika in months and was so happy to see her again - I thought, "Oooh, I still like you!" I've been working on Seasons of the Heart: Winter, but hope to stitch a bit on Frederika next week. Happy Crafting! -Anna
I would be thrilled to finish your Plum Street Sampler! So enjoy your videos, so much energy!
Thanks, Chis! I have noted your interest in Spring Moon. Happy Crafting to you. -Anna
You are ready for fashion week in NYC!😂. I’m new to the flosstube world and I am so happy. I stitch and my sister knits so I can’t wait to show her your knitted items. Thanks, Jill
Welcome to FlossTube, Jill! Isn't it fun?! Happy Crafting to you. -Anna
-Anna
Great video! Love your enthusiasm and your fearless forays in to needlework!!
"Fearless forays"! So great, Joyce! Happy Crafting to you. -Anna
@@we.are.curiouscrafters And happy stitching to you, too❣️
Jean Farish & Kitten Stitcher both have excellent Floss Tubes on pinning your crossstitch prior to framing. I use a magnetic foldable holder from Cocoknits to secure my charts. It does an excellent job. Thanks again for a fun, informative floss tube.
Thanks for the tips! Carolyn and I are going to figure out this framing thing! Happy Crafting. -Anna
-Anna
I hope your first week of radiation went as smoothly as can be expected and that you are finding ways to keep your spirits up. Warmly, Anna
Hi ladies so fun to watch your videos, I share a close bond with my sisters too! I'd love to finish Spring Moon. Enjoy the fall season.
Thanks, Connie. Sisters! Don't know what I'd do without my four sisters. I have noted your interest in Spring Moon. Happy Crafting to you!
-Anna
Really enjoy your videos, ladies! I would love to continue the Spring Moon journey - I like a full coverage and have no issues with 2 over 2 on 36ct
Thanks, Lara! I have noted your interest in Spring Moon. I'm so happy there are folks who will enjoy 2 over 2 on 36 ct! Happy Crafting to you.
-Anna
Hello ladies, another great flosstube. Love the inspiration. Have a great week.
-Anna

Did you catch the part about the fact that you have given me the opportunity to try some negative space stitching?! Love you!
Would love to finish your project!
Hi! I have noted your interest in Spring Moon. Happy Crafting!
-Anna
I haven't dropped off a piece yet, but U Art in Redwood City told me they frame a lot of needlework. They pin. -Anna
You two are a joy to watch. Gordon squash bottom is a fun stitch. Enjoy your fall stitching plans.

Hi Elizabeth! Thank you so much - Carolyn was so happy some commenters pointed out the missing stitches. Here's to sisters and Happy Crafting! -Anna

We need to all figure out what that motif is! It's mysterious! It will remain "the water bug" for now! Happy Crafting, Carol! -Anna
This was wonderful! Going to reproduce that candy corn combo. Wish I could see that art exhibit.
-Anna
Oh I love the piece and I would love to finish it.
Hi, Carol! I have noted your interest in Spring Moon. Happy Crafting to you.

-Anna
@@we.are.curiouscrafters Thank you, Anna! Happy stitching to you, as well!
-Anna
Absolutely love your videos. Could you ask the owner of your LNS for recommendations about framing? I’ll be looking forward to seeing it framed !
Thanks for your eagle eye and for your thoughts on framing. Can't wait for Carolyn or me to get a first piece framed! Happy Crafting, Sandra. -Anna
I would love to have the Plum Street Spring Moon sampler.
Hi, Andrea! I have noted your interest in Spring Moon. Happy Crafting! -Anna
Oh my goodness - such sad news about your pieces. We received your DM. Thank you, Lisa, and Happy Crafting. -Anna
Birthday greetings Anna from Kuching, Sarawak, East Malaysia. I always look forward to your videos. We do not have linen available here. I only stitch on Aida.

I am currently sewing a full coverage on 18 count. Also have two WIPs on 14 counts.
@@graceong9098 full coverage! Wow!
-Anna
