I had to laugh when you said “my kids will end up throwing this thing in the trash” 😂 I tell my grown kids “you’re gonna inherit this one day” and point to a different stitch project or needlepoint pillow. Their eyeballs roll and they moan and say “thanks but no thanks” 😂 I just keep stitching, spending their inheritance on cross stitch patterns 😂 Love your videos!
I found you thanks ElizabethAnnCanStitch and I am slowly making my way through your library of FlossTube videos. I came for the projects, fabric, floss , and inspiration, but I will stay for the book reviews, podcast selections, and “must watch” suggestions. Your stitching is lovely! I see your future children holding one of your small pillows up to their cheeks and telling their children, “Grandma made this in 2020.” You just never know. 🤩🤩🤩
I enjoy watching your videos and seeing all your beautiful stitching. I like your calm manner and dry humor. I like the knitting, listening and watching segment of the video. Keep doing that.
Hi Mary, That’s so thoughtful of you, Hope my comment isn’t seen as a form of invasion of privacy, Happy new year to you, How are you and how’s the weather over there?
Lauren, enjoyed your visit…loved everything you showed…I would certainly keep it all…some of my children will probably make a trip to Goodwill with most of mine…your pillows we nicely stitched…if the hand stitching is on the bottom, it will not be noticed, good or whatever…the Pink Sparrow Sampler is awesome…loved the knitting too…wishing you the best and happy stitching and knitting❤
I liked the end of your floss tube when you talked about knitting, books, tv, and podcasts. We learn a little more about you. Haven't read the book you suggested, was wondering if you've read "Lessons in Chemistry." I listen through audible while quilting. I truly recommend this book. A woman who struggles in the "man's" world as a chemist and single mother, trying to do research with many adverse issues.
Yes, I did get a lot of stitching done, catching up on your great videos! I was very excited that you added in a knitting and book section at the end. I gave The Mothers four stars as well. Your fully finished pieces are really cute. I enjoyed seeing the Janette Douglas piece made up as I have that pattern. Look forward to seeing your favorite market pieces.
Loved your comment that your kids will toss your stitching. Think most of us face that possibility. Didn't think I'd go off the edge with this year's market releases but there are enough designers who have intrigued my interest that I've ended up pre-ordering a lot. But the Blackbird Lollipop flowers had to be the top of my list!
Another amazing video! Its great to see other types of cross stitch pieces. I have already pre-ordered an 1897 Schoolhouse Sampler - Let's No Net Ensnare Me. I saw the colors and am in love!
I would buy the Cousin It floss just for the name. I bought Weeks Dye Works “Clockwork” ( it is orange) just for the name. I adore how you have your floss palette on drops and that you show them. Also, my kids are older than you and I suspect that when I go they will recycle my crossstitch in the textile bins that raise money for the schools. However, I am subtly working on my grandkids, getting them interested in crossstitch, particularly by telling them that specific projects are inspired by them. I really enjoy your FlossTube because you engage us in more than the stitching. Thank you for including your knitting, listening, reading and watching interests. I cannot seem to engage with podcasts but I am a huge audiobook fan as I listen to them while delivering my mail route. My watching is mostly baking shows because I am contemplating sharing my own cooking experience using just a one burner induction cooktop and toaster oven, which is all I have in my teeny kitchenette. I am currently reading way too many books but recommend Louise Penny’s Chief Inspector Armand Gamache series. Beautifully written and you will be hunting down a French bakery for breads and cafe au lait. I am super fortunate to have an authentic French bakery in my teeny tiny Cape Cod town and that is where I tend to read, so I can satisfy my cravings as they occur.
Love your stitching projects! How many hours do you stitch each day? I like the added segments of knitting, watching, reading and listening. Thank you so much for taking the time to making these flosstube videos. You are doing a wonderful job of it!❤
I am so glad I came across your flosstube! I love everything that you have been stitching- some of your recent hauls are also part of my recent hauls. I have been thoroughly been enjoying "The Last of Us" as well. One of my co-workers call the "zombies" mushroom people, maybe that's a better term instead of "zombies"??😅😅😅 I enjoy listening to podcasts as well while I stitch. I recently listened to "Bone Valley", which I really enjoyed. My favorite true crime podcast is "Bear Brook". I may need to listen to "Bear Brook" again as it's been awhile, but it's sooo good- especially if you enjoy true crime. I am going to give "Normal Gossip" a listen because I can always enjoy more humor after a long day at work! Can't wait til your next flosstube!
Binged your Flosstubes 1-3 this evening and I loved them!! Your style is very calming and your stitching is beautiful! Looking forward to your next one!
Hello. I used to farm on Bakers Mountain in West Rumney then went way up to N Vermont. Thank you for filming. I miss my merinos but not the cold and field work.❤
I laughed when you talked about how easy it is to sell you something if it's labeled "limited edition" or "exclusive". I think we all have FOMO at times. Love the progress on your Pink Sparrow Sampler and you did a great job on your finished pillows!
I can't believe how much progress you have on your Pink Sparrow Sampler already - it's looking so amazing! And girl, no pressure to start the Sunshine/Shadow Sampler - whenever it works! :) :)
Finally got the sound to work. Thanks for sharing. I like seeing the samplers people are doing. I have several in my stash but am hesitant to start them
Hi Lauren, just found your flosstube - love it and all your projects - need to go back and watch #1 and #2. I'm from RI and we camp in NH May-October on the weekends in Alton and couple weeks in the summer (about 4 years now). My dad has a camp in Marlow. My camping neighbor is from NH and she is a cross stitcher too. We hit it right off from the beginning and have become best friends. When we get together off season our meeting place half-way is World in Stitches lol - we were there week before Christmas. Luckily a LNS opened up in MA "Stitch New England" only 15 min from me - go there on Wed nights for stitch group (dangerous lol). She is having a retreat in October if you don't know that already. Sally Spencer has been my unicorn chart and i was lucky to get it before McKenna had to stop selling it. Will be doing a SAL with another friend on that. Hope to meet you some day in NH if you are not far from Alton (or we can meet 1/2 way somewhere - let me know) or the retreat. Karen.
Great video! Such beautiful stitching! I want to try 40 count soon and seeing how cute and lovely it looks is inspiring. I also enjoyed The Mothers! Love hearing Flosstubers talk about their other interests/hobbies.
Great Flosstube Lauren. Really enjoy seeing what you are stitching. I did laugh when you said your kids will end up throwing it in the trash. I fear that’s what is going to happen to my stitching but at least I’ve enjoyed it over the years.
So enjoyed your floss tube. I thought your comment about putting a limited addition on a bag of trash you would buy it was so about a lot of us. I laughed out loud. That is why I have a ton of sock yarn. So love your stitching. Keep up the good work!
Another wonderful Flosstube! I so enjoyed seeing everything you're stitching AND knitting. Thank you for the heads up about the Seasons of the Heart Winter border being one stitch off. I've stitched Spring and Summer without an issue and am just starting Winter. Have fun stitching this month and I look forward to your next video. -Carolyn
Thank you for your video. You git amazing progress on your WIPS! You'll be done Pink Sparrow in no time. I enjoyed that stitch, too. Hopefully you will teach your future child to stitch and we won't have any of that throwing away nonsesnse! I love that Blackbird design with the lollipop flowers too, and was happy to hear they were re-releasing it. Take care and happy stitching!
This is my third video of yours and I subscribed during the 1st one. I don't post often, but I have to say that I really like all of your stitching choices. I am currently working on Florence Mary Dickinson. Yes, say exclusive and I have my credit card out! I also am a knitter and the cowl is beautiful. I usually knit socks. I would love to knit scarves and cowls but living in Texas, we have very few days that is cold enough to wear them.
@@newhampshirestitcher Socks are easy once you get the hang of turning the heel. Pick up the book Sock Innovation by Cookie A. She has great patterns and will walk you through the turning of the heel in the beginning of the book.
Watching your UA-cam tonight while I did some crossstitch, you give me encouragement to try stitch every nigh. Your pieces are beautiful and colors of floss so pretty. Im ordered the winter rose manor, love your knitting 🧶 that Cowl pretty one your knitting now what is pattern? I need easy one. I was trying make a small scarf and it ended up as a warm head ear covering lol. I’m reading Carnegie’s Maid by Marie Benedict.
Thoroughly enjoyed this Floss tube Laura. So many pretty projects you have in the works. Love your podcast and book tips too. Can’t wait to see what you choose from Market!
Hi Lauren , Could hear you perfect. Love all your finishes and projects. Didn't know you knit nice to hear that. Knitting is my first hobby always have something in needles. Case files Present is a fabulous. Take Care see ya soon.
I love seeing the variety of pieces you stitch. All of them beautiful!! Thanks for the tip on the Seasons of the Heart houses. I planned on stitching them with the full border, so I'll make a note to look out for the extra stitch!
Great haul and patterns! Love your dry, deadpan humor. That yarn is gorgeous. I crochet and do very little knitting. The Pink Sparrow and My Home is in the Garden are my favorites. Gorgeous.
Fabulous video, loved seeing your progress and your finishes. I managed to track down a copy of Pink Sparrow from another stitcher in New Zealand and she’s very kindly driving it down to me on Saturday. Wanted to let you know that your videos brought other stitchers together on the other side of the world 😊❤ Great plans ahead for February, looking forward to the next update! Happy stitching 🪡
I have Sally Spencer, I may need to start her with you. I’m not a big sampler person but I do love certain ones. I do knit and crochet, nothing on the go at the moment. I’ve listened to a few podcasts but nothing all the time. It’s usually historical stories with one person not knowing the the story so you get his reaction. Oh BTW I’m from NY then moved to NH for awhile now I’m back in NY/NJ. I lived mostly around the sea coast then in Manchester. Happy Stitching 🧵 🪡
Lauren, your Pink Sparrow sampler is beautiful! Your comment about your kids probably throwing your stitching in the trash was timely as my stitching group was just talking about that yesterday. While I hope someone in my family may want some of my stitching, I am ok wherever it ends up as it brings me such joy now. You have dog hair on everything and I have cat hair on everything (4 cats)! Thanks so much Lauren. I am so enjoying your videos. Happy February and happy stitching!
Nice flosstube! You have a voice that's easy to listen to. I'm originally from Upstate New York too but now live in Tennessee. You do really nice work.
Scarlett House's "Fall Frolic" hmmm, maybe a brown chenille trim. The Drawn Thread design is so pretty, and Pink Sparrow looks like a fun one. You're halfway done on My Home in the Garden, very nice! Choosing the right fabric can be tough. Good Haul!!! That's great the OOP charts will be available soon.
Another really enjoyable video Lauren! I was stitching along on Florence Mary and peeking up periodically to see your wonderful progress and finishes. I love that you're adding books and podcasts. I've been listening to Conan O'Brian and laughing so much. If you haven't checked him out lately and need a laugh give his interviews a try. Thanks for keeping me company on this raining morning. Have a great week!
Hi Georgie, That’s so thoughtful of you, Hope my comment isn’t seen as a form of invasion of privacy, Happy new year to you, How are you and how’s the weather over there?
I too need to work on my book review writing. I'm with you on that. Love your Flosstube and the new additional content. Also wanted to mention that my dark purple almost finished woolen afghan is partially Olde English Bulldogge fur as well. 😊
Hi Brandi, That’s so thoughtful of you, Hope my comment isn’t seen as a form of invasion of privacy, Happy new year to you, How are you and how’s the weather over there?
I am right there with you on buying a new Sally Spencer. I have the original as well and need to get back to it but it’s so hard to see. I love all your projects and can’t wait for Market releases as well.
I've so enjoyed your flosstubes; you're a natural!! You have no idea how nice it is to see a young girl interested in x-stitch. Many of us older stitchers were beginning to worry that it was a dying art because it seemed as if the younger ones just weren't interested, but as I watch more & more FT & attend more retreats, I'm noticing there are more young ones. It's really gratifying to see. We need the young ones to carry on this legacy!! Denyse L. -- KCMO
You seem so comfortable doing these videos. Soooo enjoy watching/listening to you. Hard for me to keep stitching and take notes but you show and give such good suggestions. Thanks!
I enjoyed watching your video and see all you are working on. Thank you for the tip on the brenda gervais seasons of the heart b/c I was planning on extending the border instead of doing the labels. I enjoyed seeing you knitting project I crochet but have always wanted to learn to knit.
Loved seeing your finishes and all your WIPs and new starts. You have enabled me to get My Home in the Garden.....love it! Have to have it! Also love the section about your knitting, the books you read, and the podcasts you listen to.

Another great flosstube - looking forward to finding those Birds of a Feather patterns! My current favorite podcast is "Black Box Down" - each episode they go over a different commercial air accident. It's fascinating, but it's not sensationalized at all. They discuss what happened, and then talk about the investigation and findings afterwords. It actually makes me feel safer about flying because every accident through history has caused the various air authorities to take action to correct the problem. There's also a newer, similar podcast about ship accidents called "Ship Hits the Fan."
I’m glad you’re adding a knitting component. I think you will LOVE knitting the shift cowl. I’ve knitted the shift shawl, two shifty sweaters, and at least six of the cowls. The stitch is so much fun to knit! Until next month…
@@newhampshirestitcher Hmmmmm, do you like shawls? Although, I prefer my shifty cowls over the shawl. But I LOVE my sweaters!!! I have the hat pattern but haven’t made it, yet. She just released a cardigan shift pattern, too…
@@stitchinamy2283 she just has the most beautiful patterns. Do you watch Stacy Elstone on YT? She does lots of Andrea patterns and also has me wanting to do the Amy Cristoffers Pressed Flower shawl!
@@newhampshirestitcher No, I haven’t heard of Stacy. I’ll have to check her out. I watch Andrea’s weekly podcast; I think it’s excellent!!! I’ve knitted a lot of Andreas shawls - in fact, I’m currently working on Briochilicious.
Way to go, Lauren! 2 FFOs in January 🌟 I stitched WRM on 40ct and am planning to use the "Lori Holt" frame. But now I need to double check it to see if the size is ok🙃 You have so many awesome projects!! I saved Normal Gossip in my library. I can't wait to give it a listen! I listen to audiobooks a lot while I stitch - but I cannot listen to them and FFO. My brain gets too confused😂 Thank you for sharing 💚Michele
Love love loved your video! I placed an order immediately at the end for a few things that were an absolute necessity for my stash after watching your video. Quick question - When you stitch on 40 count in a hoop, do you stay on top of the fabric? I am beginning to shift from lower counts like 25/28/32 to 36/40 and I feel like a need a hoop. Before I felt most comfortable stitching in hand. I’m just curious how folks do that. See you in your next video that I will be binge watching probably later tonight.
Ooooooh! I’m so excited about the Birds of a Feather (Blackbird Designs)!! That’s my unicorn chart! I was lucky enough to get the Birds of a Feather (brand) charts…I don’t know why I haven’t started them…I did get them enlarged, so hopefully I can read them! Now I think I’ll start Sally Spencer! I’m so happy I found your channel! I’m a knitter too!
Hi Lauren! Just fabulous wips! I bought that same frame from hobby lobby for winter rose manor. I am stitching it on 36 count so I hope mine will fit in after I finish. You are making good progress on rejoice evermore. I’m not as far along as you- like I said before 40 ct is slow going for me. Happy stitching!
Wow, you have been busy! Nice job 💪🏽 Consider the Lillie’s is coming along beautifully, I foresee a 50% finish soon for sure. Such an amazing bed sheet 😆 I agree my home in the garden pattern has such beautiful colors! I’m definitely getting inspired by your pieces. Can’t wait to check out the podcast normal gossip! A good true crime podcast I liked was in your own backyard.
Well, I hope you are proud of yourself, I pulled the trigger on Sally Spencer and Happy Hearts! Love your videos. What are your favorite true crime podcasts. I also started The Last of Us, one episode in. It is a good one. Beautiful stitching, Lauren.
I’m really enjoying your flosstubes. You do beautiful work. I’ve seen other flosstubers mention you. I have a sister and a nephew and niece in the Syracuse area. My nephew is a builder. I think they bought a house near the Finger Lakes that they will work on, to eventually use. I thought Hobby House was in Pittsburg, NY. Is it in Rochester? I would love to go there. Keep doing videos! 🌲🌲⭐️⭐️⭐️
Such beautiful work! When you said something will be “theoretically framed” by spring, I laughed and thought that should be an official category just like WIP and FFO. 😁
Love your floss tube!! I now want to start the charts I have that you mentioned!! I was wondering if you can share the details on where we can purchase those Birds of Feathers charts that we have been dying to get our hands on… specifically Sally Spencer? Thanks for sharing your talents and knowledge in such a calming way!!
Hi Debi! Unfortunately it seems there was a misunderstanding surrounding the copyright for the Birds of a Feather charts, so they are not going to be available for sale after all. If you are up for an eBay search, I definitely recommend keeping an eye out for original charts for sale, occasionally they are a little less expensive.
Your projects are beautiful! I love your Pink Sparrow sampler. I think I need to get that chart! And I too watched The Last of Us, it’s so good! I’m enjoying it much more than I expected.
Hi,Lauren. I'm glad I found your flosstube. I just finished Pink Sparrow! So ,I love seeing your progress.I'm stitching Birds of a Feather by Brenda Gervais. Its way old like me! (2011). I look forward to your next video. Great job!
Great video - very engaging. I am a knitter as well - although I set that down last winter and haven't returned to it yet. I loved the cowl pattern that you showed. Gorgeous - and your yarns are amazing. Have you seen the pattern for the Cowboy cowl ? I believe I got the pattern on Ravelry - a great site for knitters and crocheters. It was a fun pattern that looks a lot more complicated than it is. I am just getting back to cross stitching after being away from it for the past 7 years or so.... but I know I will pick up my knitting in the fall. So keep going with the knitting updates. I will be joining you. Oh and I laughed about True Crime. That's what I listen to while stitching. And Brenee Brown - she has a great pod cast. Have a good February.

I managed to track down a copy of Pink Sparrow from another stitcher in New Zealand and she’s very kindly driving it down to me on Saturday. Wanted to let you know that your videos brought other stitchers together on the other side of the world 😊❤
Great plans ahead for February, looking forward to the next update! Happy stitching 🪡
I love this!! Let me know when you start it 😊
I have Sally Spencer, I may need to start her with you.
❤️❤️❤️ Keep up the amazing needlework InezArnetta 🌹
Thanks for the shout-out! I think you'll inspire many to begin Sally Spencer with you. I look forward to watching your progress.
You are doing the lords work McKenna 😂 thank you!
Great video and love all your WIPs. Your stitching is beautiful! Have a .great week and happy stitching!
Agreed! If it makes me happy now, that’s enough for me!
Love your calm style - I could listen to you all day!
I will have to add him to my list to listen!
Enjoyed watching all your finishes and wips.
The dog hair is impossible to avoid!!
Your pink sparrow is gorgeous! I loved seeing all of your finishes and book recommendations. I listen to Simple handmade every day pod cast.
I’ve never heard of that one, I’ll have to check it out!
Sally Spencer was my unicorn chart. I immediately bought it once I saw it available. I'll be kitting it up and starting right along with you.
Yay!! ❤
I enjoyed your floss tube immensely
I've so enjoyed your flosstubes; you're a natural!! You have no idea how nice it is to see a young girl interested in x-stitch. Many of us older stitchers were beginning to worry that it was a dying art because it seemed as if the younger ones just weren't interested, but as I watch more & more FT & attend more retreats, I'm noticing there are more young ones. It's really gratifying to see. We need the young ones to carry on this legacy!! Denyse L. -- KCMO
I truly hope this industry continues to grow for many many years! But if not I have enough stash to last the rest of my life 🤣
You seem so comfortable doing these videos. Soooo enjoy watching/listening to you. Hard for me to keep stitching and take notes but you show and give such good suggestions. Thanks!
Definitely check the video description if you have questions as I do list all projects there!
Great floss tube, thanks so much. Your finishes are beautiful, amazing. I like your samplers also. Had a great week, take care🤗🧵🪡
I enjoyed watching your video and see all you are working on. Thank you for the tip on the brenda gervais seasons of the heart b/c I was planning on extending the border instead of doing the labels. I enjoyed seeing you knitting project I crochet but have always wanted to learn to knit.
I feel like my kids will give my stitching to Goodwill! LOL. Loved video 3!! Your knitting is beautiful too- so multi talented!! 😊
Lovely projects❤️
Loved seeing your finishes and all your WIPs and new starts. You have enabled me to get My Home in the Garden.....love it! Have to have it! Also love the section about your knitting, the books you read, and the podcasts you listen to.
Hi Wendy, That’s so thoughtful of you, Hope my comment isn’t seen as a form of invasion of privacy, Happy new year to you, How are you and how’s the weather over there?
Love …. Crime Junkie, Small Town Dicks, Anatomy of Murder, The Deck, 48 Hours, 2020 and Mike Rowe podcasts. Congratulations on starting your floss tube channel. Enjoyed seeing your projects.
Hi Cyndi, That’s so thoughtful of you, Hope my comment isn’t seen as a form of invasion of privacy, Happy new year to you, How are you and how’s the weather over there?
Another great video! Thx for sharing. Would love a link to the podcast about gossip. Have a great day.

You are a shifty pro! Which would you recommend to do after the cowl?
Love all the patterns you choose! Thanks for a great flosstube.
Another great Flosstube. I wasn’t a sampler stitcher, but now I am considering some. I love the ones you have done, and the colours in them.
I didn’t think I was a sampler stitcher at first, but I’d say the more ‘modern’ samplers call to me most - and clearly lots of Brenda Gervais 😂
Another great Flosstube Lauren, you’re a natural! I love the book segment. Sara’s Stitches does a book segment too.
Another great video. I’m really enjoying your shows. I don’t think I’ll ever make it to 40ct linens but I’m venturing into 32 counts. 😂
Thanks again Lauren! Love your stitching and knitting!
Great flosstube! May I ask why you will purchase another Sally Spenser????
Great video Lauren! Love seeing all your stitching!
Yours should definitely fit! I’ve seen it framed with the 36 and it’s lovely 😊
Great video
Love all of your stitching! So beautiful.
Loved your video! Can you please tell me the name of the pattern with the lama and sheep in the corners?
It had lots of beautiful blue flowers.
You will not regret your purchase Sarah! For true crime I like Counter Clock, In Your Own Backyard, Criminal, Paper Ghosts, there are so many!
@@newhampshirestitcher ❤️❤️
😂😂yes!!
Love 💕 your videos,, hugs 🤗 from Mexico 🇲🇽 😊
@@newhampshirestitcher thanks for the information I will pursue that!
Great job!
I just looked up that chart and it’s so pretty! Maybe I need it 🧐
Great video - very engaging.
I will have to look up that cowl!
I enjoyed your video
I always use my maiden name or initials on my samplers.
