Thanks for your visit and podcast…your finishings are awesome as well as whips…the quilts are lovely…we do have to give ourselves some grace in not being perfect…wishing you and Duffy the best…Happy Valentine’s Day and happy stitching ❤❤
So good to see you Olivia & DUSTY♥️…. He’s sooooo handsome….. Bless you for all the love you put into him…. Loved everything ♥️🤗 Sharon /Tiny Tim Getting closer to another rescue….🙏♥️
Thanks Sharon!! You know the love and heartache that this stage takes. We're getting through it and I'm keeping him as comfortable as possible. The meds seem to be handling the pain well at this point. I can see confusion in his eyes some days, and that part is a little harder. As long as he seems to be experiencing joy in the little things everyday, though, I'll be here for him. I so look forward to the day when you announce another rescue. That will be one lucky dog!! 🥰🥰🥰
You are practically a professional framer! Your pieces look fantastic! Loved seeing your Bluebird in a Cherry Tree. Pulled mine back out. I enjoy stitching it so much, even though I am behind you. I started at the bottom. When we finish this one we can move right on to Daniel as I have that all kitted up 😉 Your videos are never too long. Share again soon! xx
I like your flosstubes very much. I love your stitching projects mentioned. Love your project bags you make. Look forward to looking at your shop.⭐️⭐️🌲🌲🌲
I always enjoy your videos so it was a pleasant surprise to find the notification this morning! I'm stitching the MFE 2023 SAL as well and taking it at my own pace. I did the 2021 SAL as well and loved it. Kept up until my husband became very ill in October and put it on hold, finally finishing in June 2022. The stitch kept me from losing my mind during a very challenging time and really got me back into stitching in a big way. Good to know you are stitching it as well. Love your color selection! Happy stitching
Thanks Lori! I'm sorry to hear about your husband's illness, but I'm glad you were able to find some comfort in your stitching. I think I need to take the SAL at my own pace too. It really is gorgeous!
Hi Olivia, wow...such beautiful finishes! I love your Be Thankful small quilt and that Jenny Bean is just adorable. Bear Mountain is going to be stunning. ❤️❤️ Blessings, Marlene
Hey sweet friend. I enjoyed stitching along with you as you updated all your stitching goodness. Your gold silks on the green linen will be lovely. Have a wonderful week & stitch on🤘🦩
Hi Olivia! Oh, your framed pieces are just beautiful! I really enjoy the colors you choose and your aesthetic. It’s very different from mine, but I am really drawn to the designs you stitch and the colors you use. Kathy Barrick is a phenomenal designer. I’m looking forward to seeing you stitch the gold on the green linen, that’s going to be fantastic! Happy stitching til next time! 🪡🧵🪡✂️✂️✂️
Hi Emily, so glad to see you! Love love love your pieces! You are a master of linen choices! I mean just GORGEOUS! the framing is wonderful and I too love thrifting old frames. I am trying to be mindful with purchases but you always enable me! 😉 I love how you explain your processes and think things through. Congratulations on your shop, I hope to purchase soon!
Thanks so much, Dawn!!That's incredibly kind of you! I'm trying to be mindful too these days. I'm finding that it makes me appreciate what I do purchase, more.
Hi Olivia, love the picture of Dusty, what a sweetie. Your framed pieces look awesome. I love your NPIsilk packs, what a great idea. I admire you for trying new things, it’s not always easy. Take care. Susan Murphy
Thanks so much, Susan!! I love that old guy. I'm always surprised when I look at pictures of him now, I don't notice the white fur as much in person. It just makes him look distinguished, right? 🥰
Thanks so much, Jody! I want some of that fancy branded tissue paper one day! BTW, I'm putting my cedar block to the test in my closet! I might just need a log, though, with my silver fish population.
Yayyyy Olivia!!! Congratulations on your shop!!!! What a super fantastic concept.. I’d love to do just that in a brick and mortar!!! Maybe someday!!! In the meantime I’ll be thrilled to watch you grow!!!!! Love all you stitch!!!! That blackbird appliqué is amazing… I don’t yet have that OOP book but have collected several thanks to your inspiration!!! You are the bomb!!!! Love ya, lisa
Hi Lisa!!!! So great to hear from you!! I dream of having a little brick and mortar one day. A cozy stitchy shop where everyone feels welcome. I don't know how I'd ever pull that off in a place as expensive as the Bay Area, but a girl can dream. Thanks for visiting! I've been enjoying seeing all of your beautiful creations on IG!!
Yeah I finally caught up with you! Another great video and so full of inspiration. I love your Jack's Bash finish! I'm so glad you shared it. It fell off my radar and now it's back!! Your beautiful runner is going to be total eye candy. I'm excited about your shop and will definitely be lurking there this year. Happy stitching my friend!
Nice finishes & framed pieces. Love your wool runner, so pretty. Cedar & Bay leaves are supposed to ward off silverfish. I remember when we we're young, Mom had them in her attic. Sorry your sweaters got damaged. Marilyn
Thanks so much, Marilyn! That's a huge help! I think I'm going to go crazy and buy a bunch of bay leaves and put them all over the closet and in my linen and quilt fabric stash!
Your finishes look so good! I especially love the needleroll, the Black Dog Sampler, and Jack’s Bash. ❤ I just ordered my very first DIY custom frame because of your influence-it should ship next week. Crossing fingers that I don’t second- and third- and fourth-guess it. 😂
Thanks Jessica!! I hope your custom frame comes out great! If you're not second and third guessing your framing choices, are you even doing it right? 😂
Thanks Phyllis!! Your stitching is gorgeous! It must be hard to send it away when you're done. I hope you get to stitch it for yourself one day, it's so fun!
Beautiful stitching and I love seeing your quilting and wool applique! It IS hard to find time to do all the things we want to (and I'm retired!). Hope to see your progress again soon...
But Karen, I have this fantasy of retirement where it's just an unlimited amount of time to do it all, lol! I'll take having too many great things to do over being bored with nothing to do, though! Thanks for stopping by and for the kind words!
Your finishes and wips are beautiful and inspiring : ) and I love the items in your shop! Just went over and found a chart I've been looking for for a while and a couple others I've never seen but love! Can't wait to stitch them and ill certainly be checking back often. thanks!
Hello Olivia! I just came across your Flosstube for the first time today and thoroughly enjoyed it! I loved all of your finishes and wips. That pumpkin applique is gorgeous... right up my alley. I just started stitching a few months ago (other than a few things back in the cute and country 90's 😊) I am actually a journal maker but somehow received notifications for Flosstubes. I stitched a bunch of Christmas smalls to get started, but the first larger pattern I absolutely needed to have was And Heaven and Nature Sing by Kathy Barrick! I'm not finished yet, but I love it. You did me a big favour by reminding me of the name of Cheryl Wall. I live in Abbotsford BC Canada where she lives. I was new to quilting and was drawn to her books. I went to a local vintage market and came across a stall full of everything I wanted to bring home. I bought some things while thinking that this woman did a fabulous job of creating quilts and things like the ones in those books. I asked her if she would ever give me a few lessons. She stared at me intently and said many people who came to her home were interested in getting a look at her designs. She decided to say yes and gave me her card. I went home and looked her up. I was thoroughly embarrassed that it was Cheryl Wall. I was too nervous to call her but looking back, I sure wish I had ☺️ I love the idea of your curated shop. It's very personal. I have subscribed and really look forward to your next video. Thank you for your inspiration. Sorry for the long comment! Take good care, Laurel 💖🇨🇦
Hi Laurel! Thank you so much for checking out my video and for the kind words! That's so cool that you met Cheryl Wall, what a great story. And Heaven and Nature Sing is such a beautiful classic. Welcome back to stitching!! I always get so excited when another person joins up!
@@OliviaBFlosstube Thank you Olivia! I went back and watched some of your previous videos. Oh my gosh... that's all I can say! Your bird applique was just exquisitely done. I have some fall homespun somewhere but I can't find it because we had a leak and I had to relocate a lot of my fabric. If I find it, I will let you know (If you still need it). Take good care and happy handworking! 💖 Laurel
@@OliviaBFlosstube Hi Olivia! It's Laurel again. Sorry to be a pesty commenter! I was just on the 123 Stitch site and saw some Fall fabrics on sale that look kind of like homespun. The line is Autumn Gatherings by Primitive Gatherings for Moda. There is a good selection for $10.79 a yard. That's all from me, I promise ☺️ 💖 Laurel
Love all the framed pieces! I've been getting some stitches framed lately, so far so good. It's a great feeling to have them on the wall. Yours are beautiful. I've wanted to do Heaven and Nature forever, I should order your thread pack! I'm working on Autumn at Last Bear Mountain too, yours is amazing!, makes me want to get mine out. Thanks for the video and inspiration. Happy Stitching!!
Thanks so much, Lisa! It feels so great to get finishes out of the closet and up on the walls. It usually takes me a while to get there, but once they're up, they're up! I love Lazy Bear Mountain!
Hi Olivia. Love all of your stitching and the quilt block! I have one non-stitch related question. Sorry if you have answered this in the past. What is that beautiful shelf behind you? It’s incredible. Keep the videos coming. I just can’t get enough of them.
Hi Jenny! Thanks so much for asking! I came across that beautiful shelf at an estate sale for $25! It was beautifully hand painted by someone with skills that I will never possess. My dad helped me hang it by attaching it to a board that we attached to the wall. You should have seen the holes I made in that poor wall before he helped me. 😂
Thank YOU, Olivia, such an enjoyable video - and definitely NOT too long!! Always love to see what you are stitching on and all your beautiful finishes! I am going now to check out your Etsy store - what a wonderful undertaking, and brave too methinks! Wishing you every success!
So great to see you again, Olivia. Your stitching and encouragement are welcomed. Happy Valentine’s Day.💘
