I’m not a “hater” but you have to admit the unlikeliness of it happening. They stopped supporting the game quietly and haven’t vocalized any interest in making a sequel. I’d like battlefront 3, I really would, but saying it’ll come out soon is just being in denial at this point. EA doesn’t need Star Wars to make the big bucks at this point.

You could have Gideon with a default pistol weapon, with one ability slot being able to switch to the dark saber and another ability slot able to switch to a more long range rifle type weapon. Then with Mando default pistol, one ability slot switches to the beaker spear, and another ability slot switches to his incineration rifle. To make sure either is not OP, the dark saber/beskar spear would be able to only block mele attacks, not blaster fire. Those would be awesome heroes to play with!
Dude that'll be cool but there would be balancing issues where there is like a timeout and reduced damage on his abilities or even his weapons. We don't want a prince's leah's blaster balancing fiasco on new characters. EA need to (and I doubt they will hear this) take community feedback from battlefront 1&2 and make the heroes balanced compared to each other, while being stronger than the average trooper.
I always thought something like Geonosian hunt was only a matter of time until they ended service. Just picturing the second battle of Geonosis arc in the clone wars show was amazing.
If they make a battlefront 3, I really hope we have Ground to space combat, destructible environments, (like battlefield series) And moar clone wars/Original trilogy maps/Heroes

Star wars battlefront 3 was Elite squadron they made it for psp but not for xbox or PlayStation, if they upgraded that with ps4/ps5 graphics then that will be fine, dono why they haven't as they have the model but haven't done it ☝😩

Honestly, I could care less about a campaign. I just want to be able to play all the game modes be able to be played solo and offline. Galactic conquest is a MUST. Either the same or better than that of the original battlefront 2. The 501st journals was pretty neat but it didn't really give to much of a story. However, it gave us a really cool look into the mind of a clone trooper through the final days of the republic into the age of the empire. Also not to mention the clone rebellion on kamino. Another cool thing would be if they would just remake elite squadron (psp game) and release it on modern consoles. Maybe update maps to be better but that game was awesome with complete customization of characters, ground to space, and a cool story. Thank you for listening to my Ted talk.
As much as I really want to see a bf3 as soon as possible... i'd also love to see the face on EA when another publisher makes a bf3 and makes boatloads of money.
Sadly, I suspect EA thinks the fans want a massive game for free. Massive game = costs billions (if not trillions) to produce. Free = unwilling to pay in subscription or micro transactions to get the game profitable within a year. Not saying I agree with this stance, but Ubisoft better have a model the market will tolerate or BF3 will never see the light of day regardless of distributor.
I want the era's to be exclusively prequel and original trilogys. With a campaign that has you starting as a clone trooper, (5 missions) and then you transfer to being a stormtrooper, (five missions), None of that defect to the rebels bullshit. Let's make it happen bois
I would love a galactic conquest mode where you could customize your own rebel, GAR,CIS, Empire, resistence,first order battalions/units with their own unique outfits and color schemes also adding upgrades to help your troopers in each battle and the ability to play with 4 others

I’d love it if they’d just release a FULL game with no micro transactions and no bloody paid DLC. To make it worth the price (£50/£60 I imagine) we should really be expecting a full campaign of at least 10 hours, and as much if not more content than the last game this time with gameplay as good if not better than a game that was released nearly 20 years ago. Proper space battles where you can infiltrate the enemy ship like in the original, and I know this won’t happen but I’d have it be first person only to get rid of the unfair advantage. Also bigger maps that offer a more tactical and strategic gameplay. There’s me thinking back to when online multiplayer games were worth playing. Ssssssssalt.
I'm gonna say that I hate EA for what they stand for, and I pray that EA DOESN'T make a battlefront 3, because in my eyes, battlefront 3 was already right around the corner when it was snuffed out of existence by EA's greedy hands. I would much rather see the REAL developers return to battlefront and finish battlefront 3, because that game was something I could only dream about as I was playing the original battlefront games, and actually hearing that BF3 was ACTUALLY in the making was like a dream come true, and then EA happened. I knew it was gonna be bad because EA is just that kind of a corporation.

If battlefront 3 comes out here's what we ask for, every missing hero/villains that weren't added in bf2 . Female customizations for each class except the clones.Unmasked storm troopers to be added.(maybe.) Pilot classes or customizations. Rebel bespin uniforms and sullust and sullust uniforms to come back. the shadow trooper to come back. pauldron troopers to come back. Shock troopers and honor/royal guards to come back. The death star trooper, isb agent officer/Imperial storm trooper oufits. and etc. If that happened. Bf3 would be the best star wars game in history.
I hope they come out with more characters and classes for the characters. More weapons and attachments. An overhaul on cosmetics. An overhaul on space battles. Id really like to board enemy ships and take them out from the inside like the older games. Also please please add coruscant and the jedi temple back. Id really like to see a bountyhunter story

The maps in bf 1 where far better in terms of making me feel like I'm in star wars, such as playing on the death star and going to the detention block and garbage shoot, BF2 was just missing that it gave us the maps but not a lot of specific iconic parts of that map
i hope they get their act together at ea and make BF3 there is huge potential ... but just make it a next gen exclusive so you can get the maximum out of it and make full scale battle on ground under water and space and in battleships in the same map without between loading.

I used to think that too. All evidence points to EA abandoning SW because their methodology is counter to the fandom - fandom is willing to be patient for a long haul investment while EA wants to crank out a game in a year or less. So many SW games were scrapped because they couldn't meet the 1 year deadline. The SW license is therefore a money pit to EA when they invest time, money, and effort. BF3 is a bad investment in EA's eyes, plus they've lost consumer confidence in holding the SW license and they know it. My proof: 1) Battlefront 2015 marked the end of the subscription era with the blowback from fandom not purchasing as anticipated. 2) BF2015 dropped the subscription and sales went up. This proved the business model was obsolete but there was an appetite for mmo SW shooters. 3) Since subscription was a bust and the consumer appetite was there, go a little over the 1 year deadline to insert a massive micro transaction system into the sequel since that model is in demand. This will recover costs from BF2015 missed earnings as well as BF2 going over budget. After a year or two, the game will start making profit. 4) Micro transaction model goes bust and sales are no where near where they should be. This confirms to EA they lost money on BF2015, they are going to lose money on BF2, and they are in damage control until they can get BF2 to a state where they can cut all financial ties without damaging their reputation across other franchises. 5) EA releases a smaller SW mmo with more emphasis on single player (Squadrons), expecting a bust. Sales go way over projections but not enough to cover the losses from the BF franchise. 6) EA releases a single player (only) to test the market and again, sales are higher than projected - higher than Squadrons. Sequel in the works.
I think that the absence of battlefront 3 is because another Star Wars game is in development. I heard something about an open world GTA like game for Star Wars was being developed.
i personally feel like it would be really stupid for EA to not make a bf3, like look at the success rate of bf2 even if it had a rough launch it still brought in the money. Plus with all the demand for it, it just makes sense that it would be coming or at least in the works

Don’t know if anyone here has played for honor but EA could make the hero system like for honor where you can pay to unlock the hero + some exclusive cosmetics or you can just buy them with normal credits. Just my opinion though

The one thing I dislike is the possibility of a battlepass since yes its a money maker, but I hate the FOMO that comes with it, I don’t wanna be forced to play to level up my battlepass to tier 90 to get a rex arc trooper skin

Battlefront 3 needs a campaign, that's almost a given. But where It can differ from battlefront 2 Is that It's not a linear story, It can be a "choose your own path" for a non-cannon experience (or a cannon one,) or It could be a linear story but with a non-linear path to finish It. Like Battlefront 2 2005. In the old game, you can either bypass a space or play It out. Give It If not a completely original story, but a story worth while. One thing the multiplayer needs are fully customizable armor. Either just the basic colors or armor accessories. No upgrade cards, boost cards (or whatever they're called,) but slots. Like COD's weapon slots. You can add on a special visor that adds a night vision/thermal vision reading when turned on, or add binoculars to them Instead. Let them choose whether to add extra detonators, or swap them out for droid poppers/land mines. Or let them paint their armor (at least for clone troopers,) let them create their own designs. Either with a list of pre-painted symbols and letters that you can mix and match or 100% custom symbols. Give the player a sense of control over their looks and playstyle. Hell, I'll even accept cannon breaking things like letting people customize Storm Trooper armor, even though In cannon they couldn't. It's not like MP contributes to cannon at all, so you wouldn't be breaking star wars.
EA would have made sure when the license wasn't exclusive to them anymore, they would have made sure that they can still make SW games and ones that can sell

Honestly, I could care less about a campaign. I just want to be able to play all the game modes be able to be played solo and offline. Galactic conquest is a MUST. Either the same or better than that of the original battlefront 2. The 501st journals was pretty neat but it didn't really give to much of a story. However, it gave us a really cool look into the mind of a clone trooper through the final days of the republic into the age of the empire. Also not to mention the clone rebellion on kamino. Another cool thing would be if they would just remake elite squadron (psp game) and release it on modern consoles. Maybe update maps to be better but that game was awesome with complete customization of characters, ground to space, and a cool story. Thank you for listening to my Ted talk.

As much as I really want to see a bf3 as soon as possible... i'd also love to see the face on EA when another publisher makes a bf3 and makes boatloads of money.
Sadly, I suspect EA thinks the fans want a massive game for free.
Massive game = costs billions (if not trillions) to produce.
Free = unwilling to pay in subscription or micro transactions to get the game profitable within a year.
Not saying I agree with this stance, but Ubisoft better have a model the market will tolerate or BF3 will never see the light of day regardless of distributor.

I would love a galactic conquest mode where you could customize your own rebel, GAR,CIS, Empire, resistence,first order battalions/units with their own unique outfits and color schemes also adding upgrades to help your troopers in each battle and the ability to play with 4 others

I’d love it if they’d just release a FULL game with no micro transactions and no bloody paid DLC. To make it worth the price (£50/£60 I imagine) we should really be expecting a full campaign of at least 10 hours, and as much if not more content than the last game this time with gameplay as good if not better than a game that was released nearly 20 years ago. Proper space battles where you can infiltrate the enemy ship like in the original, and I know this won’t happen but I’d have it be first person only to get rid of the unfair advantage. Also bigger maps that offer a more tactical and strategic gameplay. There’s me thinking back to when online multiplayer games were worth playing. Ssssssssalt.

I'm gonna say that I hate EA for what they stand for, and I pray that EA DOESN'T make a battlefront 3, because in my eyes, battlefront 3 was already right around the corner when it was snuffed out of existence by EA's greedy hands.
I would much rather see the REAL developers return to battlefront and finish battlefront 3, because that game was something I could only dream about as I was playing the original battlefront games, and actually hearing that BF3 was ACTUALLY in the making was like a dream come true, and then EA happened. I knew it was gonna be bad because EA is just that kind of a corporation.

If battlefront 3 comes out here's what we ask for, every missing hero/villains that weren't added in bf2 . Female customizations for each class except the clones.Unmasked storm troopers to be added.(maybe.) Pilot classes or customizations. Rebel bespin uniforms and sullust and sullust uniforms to come back. the shadow trooper to come back. pauldron troopers to come back. Shock troopers and honor/royal guards to come back. The death star trooper, isb agent officer/Imperial storm trooper oufits. and etc. If that happened. Bf3 would be the best star wars game in history.

The maps in bf 1 where far better in terms of making me feel like I'm in star wars, such as playing on the death star and going to the detention block and garbage shoot, BF2 was just missing that it gave us the maps but not a lot of specific iconic parts of that map

Battlefront 2 is honestly almost perfect in my eyes it just needed more heroes and villains
i hope they get their act together at ea and make BF3 there is huge potential ... but just make it a next gen exclusive so you can get the maximum out of it and make full scale battle on ground under water and space and in battleships in the same map without between loading.
What if they're actually doing it but haven't said shit about it, making us think that it ain't happening but then release a full Battlefront 3 game that is what everyone wanted at a perfect time. It doesn't really make sense but it would be awesome if that was the case......
I used to think that too. All evidence points to EA abandoning SW because their methodology is counter to the fandom - fandom is willing to be patient for a long haul investment while EA wants to crank out a game in a year or less. So many SW games were scrapped because they couldn't meet the 1 year deadline. The SW license is therefore a money pit to EA when they invest time, money, and effort. BF3 is a bad investment in EA's eyes, plus they've lost consumer confidence in holding the SW license and they know it.
My proof:
1) Battlefront 2015 marked the end of the subscription era with the blowback from fandom not purchasing as anticipated.
2) BF2015 dropped the subscription and sales went up. This proved the business model was obsolete but there was an appetite for mmo SW shooters.
3) Since subscription was a bust and the consumer appetite was there, go a little over the 1 year deadline to insert a massive micro transaction system into the sequel since that model is in demand. This will recover costs from BF2015 missed earnings as well as BF2 going over budget. After a year or two, the game will start making profit.
4) Micro transaction model goes bust and sales are no where near where they should be. This confirms to EA they lost money on BF2015, they are going to lose money on BF2, and they are in damage control until they can get BF2 to a state where they can cut all financial ties without damaging their reputation across other franchises.
5) EA releases a smaller SW mmo with more emphasis on single player (Squadrons), expecting a bust. Sales go way over projections but not enough to cover the losses from the BF franchise.
6) EA releases a single player (only) to test the market and again, sales are higher than projected - higher than Squadrons. Sequel in the works.

Don’t know if anyone here has played for honor but EA could make the hero system like for honor where you can pay to unlock the hero + some exclusive cosmetics or you can just buy them with normal credits. Just my opinion though

Battlefront 3 needs a campaign, that's almost a given. But where It can differ from battlefront 2 Is that It's not a linear story, It can be a "choose your own path" for a non-cannon experience (or a cannon one,) or It could be a linear story but with a non-linear path to finish It. Like Battlefront 2 2005. In the old game, you can either bypass a space or play It out. Give It If not a completely original story, but a story worth while.
One thing the multiplayer needs are fully customizable armor. Either just the basic colors or armor accessories. No upgrade cards, boost cards (or whatever they're called,) but slots. Like COD's weapon slots. You can add on a special visor that adds a night vision/thermal vision reading when turned on, or add binoculars to them Instead. Let them choose whether to add extra detonators, or swap them out for droid poppers/land mines. Or let them paint their armor (at least for clone troopers,) let them create their own designs. Either with a list of pre-painted symbols and letters that you can mix and match or 100% custom symbols. Give the player a sense of control over their looks and playstyle.
Hell, I'll even accept cannon breaking things like letting people customize Storm Trooper armor, even though In cannon they couldn't. It's not like MP contributes to cannon at all, so you wouldn't be breaking star wars.
EA would have made sure when the license wasn't exclusive to them anymore, they would have made sure that they can still make SW games and ones that can sell
Most of the star wars fans who make youtube videos, make bf2 videos. Myself included. We just need the battlefront franchise to be alive to continue our career. If bf2 dies and we don't have bf3(I'm gonna play bf2 till bf3 and probably many other people tho)....Them we are truly finished
