Battlefront 2 came a long way, from a disastrous launch, to a full scale redemption, to a sudden end in it's prime when it was cut off by EA. Me and my friend once had a match on supremacy on Kamino....it lasted 2 hours!!!! Both teams were that good at defending and it just so amazing and so much fun. We ended up winning in the end and it was one of the best memories I've ever had. Still grieving over this game
Same here, 3 hour match on Geonosis. After a while I was mentally ready to stop, but I knew I just had to keep pressing on toward a victory for the Republic. One of my craziest multiplayer experiences to day, my friends have a hard time believing me when I tell them it happened lol.

You are right. This is one of the only big Star Wars games that each generation coming up will have until something else.
This is the only game that is worth still playing and it's no longer being updated lol. Meanwhile Lego starwars just releases character packs, Fallen order is good but a one hit wonder (A really good wonder) And Squadrons is kinda dead or filled with people too good with glitches. And any other game out now is either cheap mobile or too old to be populated enough.
A very good comment. Yes. I personally would even say, both Battlefront games. I personally still prefer Battlefront 1 2015 to Battlefront II 2017. Battlefront 2015 had its flaws and Battlefron II made great improvements, but there was just something special about Battlefront 2ß15's atmosphere. It captured the "Star Wars feeling" better than this game and I preferred the first game, because of its unique Gameplay over BF II 2017. Battlefront 2015 is my favouite Star Wars game ever.
Just have to hold on 15 more years and one more console later to get 1 single more multiplayer star wars game😂
Battlefront 1 is still out here if you're interested. I've been playing for the past 11 months, around 300 hrs in game, and gotten every gun, and almost every diorama/achievement, which requires tons of gameplay in all modes and all dlc's. There are plenty of hackers, but the game is still fighting to stay alive, and is even more active on console.

I think what was really sad for me was we were going to have Ventress, Ahsoka, Padme and others. But when they ended the game, you can tell the ISB agent has padmes face and Ahsokas stance

I remember pre-ordering this game and being so excited when it released. Every year since its release I always come back around November and start to play it again for a few months. Everytime I return I remember all the years and things I have done in my life and how I have played this game through some of the worst times in my life. This is a comfort game for me, and I absolutely love it, I wish we had a better future on this game or a sequel because there is nothing quite like battlefront II. I hope to see this franchise live again.
This is exactly me, but just with Battlefront 1 (2015). Some great memories we have made with these two games. That is for sure!

Funny you mention this game and memories. Around Christmas 2017 I was settling into my career and had just moved into my own place. I was dating who is now my wife at the time. Everything was going great. Star Wars and Christmas has kind of always gone hand in hand for me. (Childish nostalgia) I remember one particular evening, I had the house to myself. I turned in early, plugged in the Christmas tree that me and my girl decorated, and sat on the couch all evening and played BF2 for hours. I can’t tell you why it is such a great memory, or what exactly happened to make it so extraordinary, but that is one of the happiest memories I have in recent years. Not a care in the world, just kicked back on the couch diving into the Star Wars galaxy for hours; with the comfort of a cozy home, a good job and a good woman. All at Christmastime. That was such s simple but fun night.
I still remember the Geonosis update and how cool it was. I vividly remember how epic the sandstorm as everyone didn’t know what to do and just started firing into the storm creating some epic visuals. And I had the scariest moment of my life as a droid when I saw a blue lightsaber activate right in front of me lol.
Some of the most fun times i had was playing battlefron 2 with a dedicated group of players

I wish Battlefront 3 would come out. I still play BF2 every once in a while, and every time I do, I can't help but imagine how amazing it would be.
This game was a huge part of my covid coping. Didn’t start playing until late 2019 but got into HVV super heavy. Joined a clan, did scrims, the full 9. Haven’t played it that religiously since 2021 but as of the last time I checked, I have 73 days played. BF2 for life.
Ahh man I miss coming home and just chilling to this game. Loved the new heros that came out overtime, levelling them up and making a build with them. And its fricking star wars on a battlefield. Or having a 4v4 lightsaber fight.
This was my absolute favorite game and still to this day is one of the most fun games I have ever played! Such a shame what happened to it

My favorite memory was THE time when Clone Wars content with Geonosis was about to drop. I wat he’s that trailer soooo many times, imagining the fights I was about to have when the update would finally drop. Got me the most exited for a game in a long time.

As a fellow aussie pc player, change your region via settings > EA account > region to USA EAST or West. I find full 20v20 and most modes populated in various times of the day. Still holds up quiet well!!
I do this, although sometimes I can't find any lobbies on any server. As well as having upwards of 250 ping.
I can't believe it has been 5 years today when it was released, I remember waiting for the whole year waiting for it to be released. Looking at concepts for the game, etc! Just such a shame what happened to it, we could have still had content being added to the game to this day.

I remember playing this game when it first came out and I didn’t think it was all that good, I just did the story and a few matches in multiplayer. I came back in 2020 because I wanted to unlock all the achievements and my mind was blown by how much the game had changed. I soon found myself addicted to playing supremacy. I did stop again a few months ago but I still play from time to time
This was my favorite game of all time. I’ve played since the first day and loved it the whole time despite its flaws. My love for it overshadowed the flaws. I never had a time when it wasn’t fun
I still play this game almost everyday. I know it’s just a fantasy and it won’t happen, but I still dream about battlefront ll coming back or all the dice devs back for a bflll. And when I say dream about it, I literally mean, I have dreams about it. Which probably isn’t very healthy for me but whatever😂. It truly is a shame that one of the best Star Wars games ever created was abandoned a few months after it began to earn that title.
Luckily, playing on ps4 in New York, I can easily find full lobbies, but I know that won’t last forever.😭😭😭

My mental health was at its lowest around 2018/19 and the resurgence of this game was something that kept me going as trivial as it sounds, it was a wonderful way to escape and feel like a carefree kid again with my love for Star Wars. Will never forget this game but holding out for a Battlefront 3 like everyone else.

I’m still playing BF2 even my friends are still playing it. I remember watching your hero guides and them being so useful that I still use most of the star cards you recommended for them lol. I was absolutely heartbroken when I got the news the game was no longer getting support, biggest wast of potential. Sure, single-player are fun for a few days, but you can’t play them with friends and multiplayer keeps fresh, so fingers crossed for another great Star Wars multiplayer game. Still love your content to this day Ozzy, keep up the wonderful work!!
My favorite memory of B2 is a year ago when my best friend and I where playing, in the summer at night. It was hot even inside the house. We where playing Sequel trilogy Supremacy. And the best part of this was me playing a first order AT-ST and just obliterating the enemy
I still play from time to time. Still love this game so much. Probably my favorite memory is the BETA I just couldn’t believe how good it looked and how much fun it was. Wish I could go back to that and feel that again

Awesome video Ozzy! 5 years, it’s gonna be 6 soon. Wow time flies. Battlefront two is still an awesome game to play but yeah it’s a bummer that we haven’t had any updates for the game or any new good Star Wars games recently.
I still play on XBL, always full lobbies, mostly new players on Supremacy and GA, especially on the weekends. From my perspective, it's popularity hasn't diminished. It's still a blast to play.
On PC trooper modes are pretty much dead, and you don't see that many new players. Hvv is well and alive tho
during the dark ages some lobbies in hvv would just go into a circle and form something I called "emote parties" where we would just spam emotes at each other for fun before that one guy gets bored and starts the match again, not one of the big memories but one of the best because even at its worst people still found ways to enjoy it.
Sadly I had stopped playing around 2018-2019 era of BT2 but I was having an absolute blast with it. It was so fun and I would even say it was actually one of the few games I was actually decent at, along with that it was the first game I ever prestige in!! And I was so happy of what it became and how it recovered from what it once was. And personally for me and one of my happiest memories for the game is when it was Christmas of 2017 and I just got the game and got my new PS4 and I was sleeping in my playroom(it's where I had all of my games and consoles) and I was staying on the pullout couch that we had in there and I remember booting up the game for the first time and having my mom bring me up a nice ham and cheese sandwich with pretzels and sweet honey mustard. And it tasted sooooooo good! And I was eating that while I was playing the campaign and I was having a blast; for my second memory was when I heard the game was getting a major update having the loot box system being taken away along with the Obi Wan Kenobi, General Grievous, and clone wars stuff being added I just knew I had to play again and I did that and I had an absolute blast!! And for my final one was when I got a big achievement unlocked which was when your account reached level 50 and it says "The force is strong with this one". And I don't know why but it filled me with so much joy and made me extremely happy and made me so glad and proud that I am such a big Star Wars fan!!! Whats your favorite memory TheOzzyJedi ?
This game came out on my birthday in 8th grade, so I preordered it. It was messy at first sure, but the memories I have had with it have been immense. I have made so many memories, had so many laughs, got better at gaming in general, loved Star Wars even more, all from this game. I’m glad it has such a positive legacy with the fans, and I really hope we that some day, we can get the perfect Star Wars game of all time: Battlefront III

My favorite memmory of the game was about a year ago, where I played GA and was a Specialist the entire round on Kashyyk and finally started getting around the class, and became the second best player in the match with no bs tactics. It was incredible. I have since then started moving on from SW and I am currently focusing on my real life and starting getting serious and growing up. I to this day wish that game got revived.

I’ll never forget when I joined a clan at the height of the game after playing it from day 1. That feeling of loading up with a 15 player party banging the ending ewok song from ROTJ in CS or GA and just spawn trapping the other team…😢 the days of grinding my heroes in HVV meeting friends almost every game either through mutual respect or even some ragers messaging sometimes. Only too que up on a server and school then in a 1v1. I made a lot friends along the way who I’ll never forget even some I still have contact with today . Glad too have been apart of it
Battlefront 2 was the game that got me through Covid. For weeks in the summer I would play for maybe 6-8 hours a day.
I personally love this game still to this day and I am sad that it dosen't get updates anymore because I think that the game is amazing.
I still play this game every weekend because it is dream come true for me. Seeing the clone wars era in a modern AAA fps is still surreal. Seeing clones and battle droids just put a big smile on my face. It marked a beginning for star wars media, now theres prequel stuff everywhere you look. And I know its over, but I don’t want to let it go. For what we got. I say its good enough for me to play until the next battlefront.
I wish I can explain more. But I sticked around solely because of the clone wars era in this game. Its sad to see it end, but im glad we have something left to play on repeat.

I occasionally hop on this game when Idk what else to play and I can see myself doing that soon. Its just a shame to see the utterly wasted potential that hurts my soul and not even with this game but Disney, however thats another story. I just started playing the game yesterday. I mainly play Heroes vs. Villains and Solo has quickly become my main because of his aggressive play style. This game deserves to be revived.
Fuck 2042 revive battlefront 2
I think my favorite memory ever in BF2 came from a Co-op bug where when you partied up with friends it could throw certain members to the opposite team. My friends and I queued up for Republic co-op and I ended up being on the Separatist team. Now obviously this was a bug and got patched in like a week, but for maybe three hours my friends and I essentially competed for who could carry the bots through an entire co-op game, and it was absolutely amazing. It was so much fun and made me wish for custom games SO bad. Maybe someday!

When Battlefront II was re-gaining its hype, me and my friends played it so much and it the ammount of standoffs we had were epic. I can still remember how we had a match, where we were on the Repbublic side which lasted hours on Geonosis, the enemy and us having so many final standoffs before we barely turned it around. That back and forth I will never forget.
I think one of the most hype gaming moments of all time was the first glimpse at the clone wars era content

When the Droideka came out all of my friends just went around the map racing each other trying to see who could capture the command posts, that’s one of my favorite memories, also when the jet trooper came out.!.
My best friend and I have played since drop. We played so often and at the same time that we started to remember names. Slowly but surly we realized we had gotten to the level where if they were on we were playing them. The x squad lol. We got pretty good and would duke it out every single time, winning and loosing. No matter what it would be the most fun I’ve had in a pvp game. Well we ended up moving on for a while but came back a year later. We started seeing names in every lobby we’d join. Well eventually on of them sent a friend request and joined our chat. Turns out he was part of the x squad and remembered our names too. It was amazing and I truly truly miss this game. Shoutout to dan and the rest of x squad, may the force be with you.

I remember I got this game in December of 2017 and ever since this has been one of my top 3 games if not my favorite game. I started getting bored of it because I was trying to be good at the game, but then I looked at it how it was meant to be seen. Living the Star Wars battles and changing the course of history. FOR THE REPUBLIC!
I recently started playing the game and its soo fun to play the atmosphere of war and hearing the blasters sound

I really enjoy it now from time to time. GA matches are sweaty and on maps with area checkpoints like naboo, endor, yavin 4 etc for the most part there is a general understanding amongst the top players to try and extend a good lobby match as long as possible
I loved how cinematic this game was and how it reminded me of the movies and one of the great times playing the game was referencing Scenes from the movies.

I've been playing one or another of the Battlefront games basically my entire life. I've loved the series, and I had a lot of fun playing both Battlefront 2015 and Battlefront 2 2017. I think it's obvious both games had their faults (2015's being lack of content and that season pass nonsense, and 2017's being proper support for the project) and honestly if all we saw from a Battlefront 3 was a return of the good stuff from both games I'd be hooked instantly.
After the lifeservice shutdown I started playing Battlefront with a friend of mine every morning while the lockdown. We always played ewokhunt, had many laughs and jumpscares with it and later on switched to other modes because ewok hunt started dying... sadly the whole game died for us and we don´t really have contact anymore, but it was the best time I had in the lockdown and I would do anything to bring that back.
this game has just such an importance to me because it connects me and my best friend who unfortunately moved away some years ago. we started playing like half a year after its release but didn't really knew about the problems the game had at its beginning (it was after the pay-to-win system), it just was so fun and we had so much quality time especially during qurantine. even today we play like once a week and recently discovered the showdown mode again, some games are so intense its incredible! i love this game and can just hope that there will be a battlefront 3 that is even better than battlefront 2

My favourite memory was the clone wars update first came out and I was so exited
This was my favorite game of the 8th generation, not that I would argue it was the best game of said gen. I bought it at launch, but barely played it at first due to the leveling/loot boxes. Once it was fixed I would occasionally drop in, but late 2019 was definitely the peak and was when it became my main go-to game.
Played it nonstop for the past 3 years, but just yesterday my PS Plus expired and I’ve decided not to renew. I have a backlog of games I need to play that don’t need online and since it hasn’t been supported for the past 2 and a half years it’s time to say farewell. I’ll still jump into it from time to time I’m sure for some offline Supremacy or Attack/Defend. Definitely glad that’s an option now.
I’ll always want the elusive Battlefront 3, but I’m hoping Respawn’s future FPS scratches some of those itches, even if it isn’t BF3.
I still play this game everyday sad to see it gone but it’s still a game I’ll play for hours hopefully we get something in the next couple years
I remember me and two friends going from playing the co-op mode and me, wanting to change it up throwing us into a supremacy match and getting Geonosis. All we had played for like 4-5 solid months was co-op and so suddenly to switch back to multiplayer, and a totally new mode for us and to have the AT-TE’s just drop in in front of us was just awesome. I’ll never forget their reactions when I jumped in it and said, “This’s were the fun begins.” Loved this game, 1 of 3 games I ever preordered and was the only one I was never really disappointed with. Without a doubt it’s one of my favorite games to fuck around with my friends on and shoot the shit. And when it was made free back in 2020/2021 (I don’t remember which) it was just awesome to see my friends reactions to just what a truly amazing game it is, especially their first reactions to Ewok Hunt 😈. I wish that just like they’ve managed to do with Jedi Fallen order and SWBF2 that Disney and Lucas Arts could stop trying to recreate and instead recapture that old time SW feel of some of these great games and not make the same mistake that they made in the 2015 & 17 BF’s by selling out to the newer movies which no one wanted (except Rogue One) and focus more towards those things that built up peoples love for Star Wars (I.E. CW, OT, and the Prequels) to drive and sell games. Idk just my own thoughts
I think among my favorite memories, the second Ewok hunt update around Halloween 2019 really was great for me and my 3 other guys. Man we were so close and that mode specifically showed it 😂

When Co op was finally brought was my favorite time. The closes to conquest we got. I enjoyed SBF2 amazing gun play , but Lack Jedi combat similar to the regular battle front 2 and fallen order.

I havebeen playing every week for the last two years on xbox and pc and the co op missions are almost instant ques at any time, thats as much as i could ask for and theyre still a ton of fun
I remember during this games beta me and my mate were playing on Naboo and we were heading into the last phase but unfortunately the door closed on us. It left us trapped in a room with Vader reminiscent to the rogue one scene 😭 me and my bro screamed and it was still one of my most vivid gaming memories. Miss this game

One of the best times i had in battlefront is playing heroes vs villains with my friends because it was fun there were funny times and when ever the match was hard or intense we found think of battle strategies of how to win and same goes for hero showdown. I also would like to say that I got luke skywalker max about a month ago

Three days ago I was just scrolling through my Xbox library as I was bored and I found this again. I hadn't played it since the end of support, but found it really entertaining and there was no problem finding a lobby( I even found an extraction lobby)
I cannot tell you how much I played this game when I had covid and when we were shut down here in Texas for an ice storm in 2021
I still play battlefront 2 every so often, its one of my most played games on steam. I usually just do coop as it's easiest to find games for. I miss the days of playing Blast with full lobbies though, it's a pretty rare event when i get a Blast match and someone doesnt just leave or the match is super on-sided.
It's a shame they dropped the game when they did i'd still be playing it with more content and playerbase. Might try out the Star Wars Mod for Insurgency Sandstorm--something like Modern Warfare 2 but Star Wars I would go absolutely crazy for. Imagine a republic/imperial commando sequel with a COD style multiplayer!
I bought it back in 2020 and always played with friends in 2021 during lockdown. One of the best times
I actually got battlefront 2 for the 1st time this summer and I love it and wish it was still getting support. Regardless of it being "dead" I still love playing this game
On VR there is a Star Wars mod for a game called contractors which gives players a first person vr experience of the old battlefront games and also takes some of the aspects of the newer battlefronts. It’s a huge growing community and to be honest it’s some of the most fun I’ve had in a while. Check it out if you’re interested in new Star Wars content. Yes the mod can be downloaded on quest 2.
My favorite and most lasting memory of battlefront 2 would be one of the 1st matches I ever played. It was on the planet of kasshyyyk, Droids vs Clones. I was a sentry droid, making a push on the last Juggernaut tank. Of course I wasn't the only one, half my team was there and we were gaining ground. We finally took control of the juggernaut and started the detonation sequence. We only had a moment to brace ourselves before the clone counter attack started but this time they had Yoda with them. I was inside the main cabin of the juggernaut when Yoda pushed past the door guards and into the tank. If you're not a fan of Star Wars you would think a jedi completely surrounded in a small space is the end but I can assure you, as all Star Wars fans know, it's just the beginning. We had the advantage at the start of this bout but the tables were now turned. We were trapped in this tank with a hurricane of force pushes and lightsaber slashes. I knew what was happening but all I can see was this tiny green ninja with a lightsaber jumping around killing everyone in the room yet somehow missing me. Everyone in that tank was trying to kill Yoda but somehow we just couldn't hit him. It felt like we were in the movies during a critical action scene. We had the numbers, we had the fire power yet somehow we couldn't kill just this one person and are forces we're slowly and methodically being cut down. I would like to say that I was the last man standing from my team and it came to an epic battle between me and Yoda but sadly I got Killed somewhere in the middle of that fight. Regardless that we ended up losing that specific confrontation and I think we lost the match itself, It didn't matter. That moment was the greatest moment I experienced in playing a Star Wars game in a long time. My only regret is that after I died I failed to hit the record button on my console so I can relive this moment outside of just my memory.
I'm still playing Battlefront 2 !! And I'm still having fun on it ! I often see players with a low level, it shows that there are still some persons that buy the game
