I was raised in a chaotic household, so I never really learnt oral hygiene and I’m trying to fix the years of neglect and damage on my teeth thank you for the information its really helpful
I have been oil pulling for almost 2 years now! And I have seen significant difference too as I used to get plaque deposit pretty quickly (uneven teeth) and had to go for cleaning every 6 months (now I go once a year), but oil pulling, flossing, and a change in brushing technique has helped. Also, most people brush horizontally which doesn't do much to pull out the gunk as it only gets distributed. Vertical brushing on every section is what really helps with plaque build-up.
And I used to buy the oil for pulling but I saw a video on glamrs once and made my own product with organic coconut oil and drops of peppermint and clove essential oil. So thanks for that!

Oral hygiene 🤘
1. Oil pulling
Oil can be used : Coconut oil or Sesame oil or Olive oil
How to do : Swish for 10-15 minutes then spit it out
When to do : Either in the morning before eating or before dinner
Frequency : Once in a day
Amount : 1 Tablespoon of oil is enough
End activity : Warm salt water gargling to pull out remaining oil

3. Tongue cleaning
4. Mouthwash

Not oil pulling but all the other habits that you mention is my oral routine. One suggestion, not just turmeric but mix with an equal amount of alum mixture & then brush your teeth it will whiten them. Stay home, stay safe.

As a dentist, I kindly request you all to never gargle your mouthwash as it might lead the mouthwash into your throat (it does more bad than good) as mouthwash are simply meant to maintain the pH of your teeth surface and also to avoid bad breath... instead simply swish it around your mouth and spit it out.
Also turmeric doesn't whiten your (Anything that stains your clothes will stain your teeth) although turmeric is an excellent natural antibiotic, you can eat it for better immunity, followed by gargling with plain water to avoid turmeric residue sticking to your teeth! Hope this helps :)
