I was also on Wegovy. My last dosage was 1.7 and then I had a sharp pain in my right side. I stopped immediately and found some UA-camrs who were discussing eating more protein and that's was it. I increased my protein significantly and what that did was cut all of my cravings and my issues with sugar and carbs. So now since being off Wegovy I've lost more weight and I feel better. So I would recommend increasing protein and finding UA-camrs who are eating mostly protein and meat. It is life changing. ❤ you Beatfacehoney. You can do this.
Congratulations on your marriage and family. ❤🎉

I had my gallbladder removed 10yrs ago. Best decision I ever made cos those attacks just became more and more painful. I also believe it's hereditary since my mother had hers removed too. Ultimately, it's your call, but I think your hesitance is due to life being lifey right now. Step back and reevaluate. Thank you for sharing your story.

Its largely diet related. All of the women in my family had their removed, me when I was 16. All of us after following a low fat diet. Its because when eating low fat, the gallbladder is not releasing much bile as bile is only needed to digest fat. The bile then stays in the gallbladder too long, sediment forms and over time this turns into stones, which over more time, the sediment grows until the stones get so large that they get stuck into the ducts when you do need to release bile to digest.

Stop beating yourself up. You have a lot going on and have had tremendous success with Wegovy. It’s completely understandable the fear of ending your weight loss journey cold turkey. You have to put yourself first and take time to meal prep, purchase healthy snacks, graze on fruits and vegetables throughout the day to avoid feeling hungry and combat cravings. Thank you for your honesty and sharing your journey. I’ve been contemplating weight loss injections, but am fearful of the side effects and am unable to find a physician who will provide a prescription. My primary care would rather I try Weight Watchers. I have loss 8 lbs over two months, but of course it’s not as rapid as I would like. So glad you're waiting on the surgery. It's not one that can be reversed. I also waited after my attacks...mine kept happening even after doing a gallbladder cleanse (i literally had hundreds of little pea size "stones" come out each of the times i did the cleanse. They were bright green and mushy like peas, not hard at all. Finally had to have mine removed in an emergency surgery when many got stuck in the duct and as a result i became jaudinced. I asked the surgeon why did this happen? I got them all out with the cleanse TWICE! He ssid that once mine went bad, it would keep producing the stones. I've lived for 25 years just fine without it.
Best wishes! Listen to your body! It whispers before it yells❤️❤️

Definitely look into keeping your gall bladder. You can always elect to remove the stones and then go into prevention mode so you don’t get anymore. Thats what my grandmother did. Endoscopic retrograde cholangio-pancreatography (ERCP) is a procedure that can be used to remove gallstones from the bile duct, but the bladder remains intact.

It’s always good to ask questions! Some people don’t. I had a similar experience at the dentist in atlanta..they said you have a cavity, we need to fill it asap to prevent more damage. But I had gone to the dentist in South Korea a few months prior and he had said I had a tiny cavity that would need filling in 10 years! So i asked the dentist in Atlanta well how bad is the cavity? And they said it was a pinhole. Which means they would have widened the cavity JUST to fill it. And had tried to charge me $250 when I came for a free cleaning. The medical industry, while I’m grateful for it, has been out to get us more often than ever.

I love that you do a lot of research to make your best decision for yourself. I am like that too. I did have my gall bladder removed because it got infected...so it was an emergency thing. ;). I haven't noticed anything different regarding how I feel when eating food/ high fat food. On that note...know there are good supplements that help those process their food that do not have a gall bladder. My doctor put me on one when going Keto ...since that is a high fat way of eating.

I've lost weight before and didn't have these issues. I lost about 50 lbs before Wegovy and didn't have a problem. 6 months on Wegovy and I wound up with severe pain and landed in surgery. I had two attacks and NEVER want that again. The pain is horrendous. I was one of those who thought it was "just the weight loss" causing the gall stones. I firmly believe it IS the Wegovy that causes them. I hate it because I felt so in control with Wegovy and I'm NOT in control now. I've gained 5 lbs over the past 10 weeks. So clearly no problems or pain or issues from not having a gallbladder. It's a struggle. I'm working on it. Good luck to you!

@Tatiana, you sound like me. I had a severe gallbladder attack many years ago and I was told that I needed to have it removed. I did not want to remove my gallbladder either because I felt the same way, whatever God put in is necessary, so, I didn't schedule the surgery for years. However, the attacks started coming back, and practically paralyzing me, I scheduled the surgery. When the surgeon went in, the lining wall of my gallbladder was so thin because the sack was filled with stones. Not only was it full, the stones were not smooth, they had sharp, jagged edges. He said that if the sack had ruptured, it would have caught major damage to my organs, amongst other things. I am not telling you what to do (because I can't...lol), I am sharing my experience. My body took a little time managing whenever I ate anything fatty but it has adjusted just fine. I started following you about a month or so into your wegovy journey. I was at the beginning of mine. I pray all goes well with you and your health journey.

It’s okay love, I think maybe your issue with “picking” or “snacking” is the lack of protein in your diet. I recently came off wegovy too, and I have been terrified I was going to start eating too much again. I recently started tracking all my food on an app to make sure I am mindful of what I am eating and my portion size, but I also started a super high protein diet. I mean high protein, I am 180lbs and 5’3” and I am taking in 160grams of protein a day, and I have zero desire to snack. It’s unreal. I have never not wanted to snack. The extra added bonus is that my belly fat seems to be reducing pretty quick to which is absolutely fantastic so don’t stress over the fact that you’re feeling hungry can easily be fixed with a change in the quality of food that you’re snacking on so higher protein, snacks, and always make sure that you have at least 25 g of fiber per day. This will also help you to feel full longer. You got this!!!

R. asap, where as my father told me to do nothing. His reasoning was that if I’m not having any issues/symptoms then why go under the knife unnecessarily. My husband is a surgeon in Canada and lap choles are VERY commonly done. Of the many gallbladder’s he’s removed over the past 20yrs the only OCCASIONAL (in a very small percentage of patients) complaint post op is looser stools. Also you could have 1-2 or many stones, it does not indicate whether you should or shouldn’t have your gallbladder removed. But if you’re having multiple painful attacks that can last multiple hours….then you should consider removal.
If you have an attack please visit your nearest ER as a gallbladder can rupture!

Out of 5 daughters my parents have, 3 girls have got their gall bladders out and all 3 regret it. One while she was pregnant. Several of their doctors said it was unnecessary and a terrible call especially while pregnant. You’re right when you say surgeons get paid per surgery and they’ll jump at the chance to do it especially considering it’s pretty routine. All 3 have said they have never been able to process food right again. They live with awful side effects from the surgery. Ever since I have told myself, if this ever happens to me, I’m keeping it. I have to be my own advocate. Regarding taking your shot even when your doctor advised against it, I would have done it too. The pressure to look, feel a certain way these days is overwhelming. We have to be in that place to say ok, i have to be done and be ok with me. Don’t worry, it will take time, you’ll get there. We all struggle. Lastly, thank you for this raw, real video. If there is a way for you to remedy this without surgery then go with it. My removal was an emergency because a stone got lodged in my bile duct which required me to have a surgery the day before they removed my gallbladder. I can't offer advice on the wegovy. I knew before starting Ozempic that is would be a life long thing and considering the other benefits of taking Ozempic I think it might prevent me from having other health issues that I will need meds for in the future.

You're being very thoughtful about the decision to have surgery. That's not a bad thing. If you can control your symptoms by what you eat, great! My daughter is doing the same thing, even though she's in a family where her mom, aunt, grandmother, and cousin have had their gallbladders removed. If you find that diet doesn't work, you can always have the surgery later, if you need it. As far as the food cravings go, ask your doctor about other things that can curb your cravings and appetite. I found a new doctor (who used to be the head of the weight loss department at Cedars Sinai in Los Angeles and now has his own practice) who told me I have metabolic syndrome and insulin resistance. He took an hour with me on our initial appointment to go over my history and to explain things to me (things I had never heard before). He prescribed two drugs which I have taken for the last 2 1/2 weeks and they are working amazingly well. There are several different combinations to try. Take care, Tatiana!

I had my gallbladder removed, and I've had uncontrollable IBS-D ever since. I take anti-diahrea otc pill every other day that helps. I also have a hernia mass that the Dr. said he could "fix", this was the same Dr. that removed my gallbladder. In my mind that meant removing it, instead, he moved it from the front lower side of my stomach to my side/love handle area, and now the protrusion is very heavy (like a five pound plus, bag of rocks) and this limits my ability to stand and walk on that side comfortably. Upon healing, it fused itself to my bowel, and now, every time I eat/drink, within moments, it's coming out, which will it be? I don't know, and most times it's coming out of both ends simultaneously. I'm waiting for surgery now. My M.D. has replaced my prescription from Wegovy .25 because it isn't available, now he has me going to Zepbound .25, you might want to look into this one. Also, could you please do a hair care video with the products and dye you're using? You're gorgeous, and your hair is beautiful in this color❣️ Thanks for sharing with us!

I’m on the same medication for insulin resistance. Weight loss is a bonus. My fear is that stopping it I will gain weight. I simply want my body to process sugar and insulin more efficiently. I think we often don’t realize that its the insulin resistance thats causing the cravings and weight gain. We have to learn how to master insulin resistance once we stop taking the medication. The meds are essentially managing the insulin resistance and forcing our kidneys, liver and stomach to manage food, sugar and insulin more efficiently.

If your body tries to pass a stone sometimes it gets lodged because they larger as time goes on and that ,my friend, is horrible and you dont want that. It could rupture, the bile gets into your system/other vital organs and then youre in real trouble. Good luck and hope it all works out for you.

Had an attack while out of town and ended up in the hospital while traveling alone. Several relatives rolled the dice and ended up in emergency open surgery becz the stone wouldn't clear. Two had severe complications during recovery. Good luck.

Also after seeing your recent video when you were in pain my daughter was in similar pain and the dr diagnosed constipation. I am having her seen again because she still hasn’t had a big bowel movement and she said the pain is gone but she hasn’t had an appetite still. No

I had 2 large stones that were trying to pass but got stuck. I ended up turning extremely jaundiced because of it. Had to get admitted through the ER and have the stones and gallbladder removed. Luckily no issues since. The pain of the stones trying to pass through the bile duct was so extreme, felt like someone was punching me at level 10 in my stomach

    *Long Post but viable info*
I had my gallbladder removed at the age of 20. I had 19 gallstones. I was told the minerals in well water (country living..no filtered water) contributed to the formation of my stones. I was probably 95lbs (naturally) at that time, so it was not caused due to weight loss. Water is the source that makes up blood and different fluids within the body. With that being said, the minerals in the water desposited in my gallbladder, and due to the makeup of bile, the minerals "crystallized," causing the stones...just like stones of the kidneys.
What I've learned is that bile is necessary to break down fats...so each time you eat greasy foods, your gallbladder contracts to push out bile to aid in breaking down fats. The liver also produces bile, but the sole job of the gallbladder is to produce and store bile, unlike the liver, which produces it when you eat fats, but has no way to store it.
Now, the tube the bile travels down, is about the circumference of the tip of a ball point pen. So, imagine your gallbladder is filled with these stones. Your gallbladder will still contract, and shift the stone(s) as it contracts and the stone(s) will pass, in most cases, very painfully. My Mother had her gallbladder removed over 30 years ago, yet, when she had abdominal surgery last year, over 40 stones were found in various locations of the abdominal cavity.
I'm now a few weeks shy of my 50th birthday, and having it removed was the best decision I could have made. Ultimately, find out how many stones you have and know that each time you eat fatty foods, you're probably going to experience the discomfort of a stone or two passing.
Hope this gives a better perspective. Best wishes on the results of your ultrasound. I hope the stone count is very low.

I agree with your sister. Wait it out. You may not have another episode. The weight loss is what probably caused the stones to act up. I had an episode years ago after losing weight and doc wanted to remove my gall bladder. Then it was major surgery. I did it and I regret it now. My body does not process the foods I eat like it used to. As far as continuing to take wegovy, I think the doctor should let you make the decision to continue it. Looking forward to hearing more about your progress.

My appetite has increased but I have not gained any weight, in fact I loss a couple of pounds more but went back up to 135. Trying to not go over 140. I has more of an appetite but I still can't eat more than a few bites. The point is I don't feel I ever will get back up to my beginning weight 6 months ago. The key is always to burn more calories than taking in so I keep that in mind. I keep fruit around and fill up on vegetables so I'm good

I had a dr tell me I had gallstones when I went in with ab pain and they suggested having my gallbladder removed. I just so happen to have an appt with my gyno the next week and told him. He did an ultrasound and saw that I had ovarian cyst and told me that is most likely the ab pain. Drs are very quick to take a gallbladder out bc you can live without it, insurance will pay for it so they will tell you that you need it out even if you dont. ching ching for them. I never got it out; gyno gave me meds to get rid of the cyst and Ive never had issues since.

I was able to see the image so I felt more comfortable. My father had gallstones as well and my little sister got hers removed as well. I hear stories where individuals who get their gallbladder removed they use the bathroom quickly after eating. I wasn't able to twll the difference because I was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism/graves disease months after getting the gall bladder removal. I cant say i have had any discomfort or pain associated with the gall bladder removal. My surgeon told me prior to my surgery that she would be removing through a few i cisikns and not my belly button which can contribute to hernia. Best of luck your health journey
