I have PCOS… I passed the obese threshold a few years ago. I’ve been overweight for over 20 years. It seems I was always on a diet. But couldn’t lose the weight. My Dr put me on semaglutides in February. Lost about 18lbs so far. It’s more than I have been able to lose in a long time. I’m grateful. But I know the shame you talk about. It’s crazy… I’m the photographer, but hardly in any pictures. I have yet to share this journey. You are amazing and I admire your transparency. ❤

It's truly so sad😔 I must recognise that the issue isn't my weight though. There is no reason that I shouldn't love myself at every stage. I don't shy away from pictures when my money is low or even when I'm sad, so why do we do it to ourselves when we're overweight. I hate that I can't except my own self at every state. Something I truly need to work on! Best of luck to you❤

Hey love your videos . I’ve been battling insulin resistant PCOS for 17 years . Infertility and weight gain just out of control . I could fast for days and still gain weight . I started wegovy 3 weeks ago . Already down 11 pounds and got my period without help from medication for the first time in 6 years . This medication is life changing for someone like me. Finally something to improve my health and hopefully the chance to become a mother… I can relate to exactly how you’ve felt about your weight gain and all the psychological effects it has . So you go girl … you look great and are very motivational

Your videos made me start semaglutide. I take my 3rd injection tomorrow (starting 3rd week.) I’m 5’9’’ and I started at 202, I’m at 187 this morning. My reason for semaglutide was I started having issues with portion control, cravings, and the weekends lol. I’ve been working out regularly for a couple years now (weight lifting 3-4 days a week, walking at least 5 days a week) but my only issue is just food. Semaglutide does wonders for cravings and portion control. It’s been a little difficult sometimes making sure I eat 1400 to 1700 cals a day bc of how full you feel when eating, but I’m making it work. My only side effect has been extreme fatigue to where sometimes it’s hard completing my warm up when I’m working out but, I’m barreling through it. No, I don’t look “skinny” I look like I lift weights and work out lol. I’m keeping a high protein diet to keep building muscles and strength while I’m lifting weights. Goal weight…maybe 180 but it depends on how much more muscle I can build so I’m not a skinny thin 180. I want to be a built 180. Hope everyone’s journey goes well. xoxo

@@kscott4475 weight train and eat a high protein diet. It will help build muscle and tighten your skin. You need high protein and weight training to keep your butt. The first time around I lost weight I did those cardio workouts and I lost my butt but this time around my butt is still there and I’m curvy. But this time around I’m weight training, only walking for cardio, and I eat a high protein diet.

You are so inspiring and thank you for telling it like it is. It made me sad to hear you say how you struggled but it's true - I did/do too. You are such a beautiful woman - a gift to all of us women. Thank you again for sharing your journey through this process. Your daughter is so blessed to have a woman like you as her role model. Embrace the loose skin. embrace the highest weight you were, embrace the journey. I learned the shame held me back and now all that stuff empowers me. We women going through this can keep each other going. Love you, honey. I'd be so proud to be your mom. PS the only side effect I've had so far is last week and this.. I feel bloated a little bit and when I do belch it's not a lot but does bring relief. A lot of water and one or two fiber gummies a week have keep the constipation in check.

@@theinfamousninapinkYes, I increased my physical activity…but with walking more, nothing more. I try to walk anywhere between 8K-10K steps a day but not always successful. Regarding dieting, obviously eating less but when I eat, I am eating healthier.
At my check-up today my doctor told me I’ve been a more successful patient on the medication. Today, I weighted in at 195.7. Also, I’ve started taking injections every other week bc I really don’t want to stay on this after meeting my goal and starting to wean myself off the medication. We will see what happens…

Just took my first injection tonight. You are not boring LOL, far from it. I have learned soooo much reading your posts. I am insulin resistant and have had a problem with my weight for years. Before I met my husband it was easy, I lived on Weight Watchers and didn't have any weight issues. We are very social and it always seems to revolve around food. Now I'm told I have NAFLD, Non Alcoholic Fatty Live Disease. Since my doctor has told me for years to lose weight and I can't get it off and keep it off she said I don't have a choice now and wrote me a prescription and my drug plan approved me within the week. The first video was especially informative as were reading all the readers comments and experiences. Went to Costco and got a Wegovy starter pack. I don't feel like I'm doing this on my own now and I feel so much more knowledgeable and in control. Thank you. 💕 🤗

I thank you soo much for you video's. I started Wegovy 7 weeks ago and I am down 14lbs. I started at 378 and want to get to 250. I think that is small for me. I am 5'10.5 in height. I don't want to get to small I just want to be under 300lbs and weight prior to me having my son. 17 years ago. Your video's have helped me a lot with real live review of how the medication makes " a human" feel. The issue that I am having the hardest time with is the fatigue and occasional nausea. I usually get nauseated when I have bouts of constipation but I have added fiber gummies and smooth move tea and that seems to keep me regular. Thank You for sharing your journey with us. I truly appreciate you.

I started my Wegovy journey on April 27th and have lost 3lbs. At the beginning of the journey I was feeling full with smaller portions and tracking my calories. Not sure if it was that I was attempting to train my mind that I was
full not. No real symptoms except I feel tired a lot more so I need a nap everyday. I am doing my 3rd shot tomorrow on the 0.5 and I find myself hungry more often. I ignore it and take a sip of my water. Kinda feeling discouraged. I’m on my second week of 16:8 intermittent fasting and feel stuck with no scale movement.

I never had issues with my weight until I started going thru menopause at 40. I was diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes at 52. On November 16, 2022? I began my journey with Mounjaro weighing 206 at 5’7 wearing a size 12-14 and my A1C was 8.4. As of March 16th, I weighed 154 and I now wear a size 5/6 and my A1C is 4.9. No more diabetes or blood pressure meds and I feel absolutely amazing. I’m now on the lowest maintenance dose and I take it every two or three weeks in an effort to slowly wean myself off by the end of the year. These meds are going to save/change folks lives. I’m so grateful ❤

I am considering Wygovy, I was prescribed it AND it’s finally become available. Your videos have been the most realistic and informative, but also we are the same size!
I’m also 5’7” and broad. I was underweight in my teens but still thought I was “big” because I could never fit into a pants size smaller than size 14. I was literally gaunt and kept trying to lose weight to wear smaller pants. Ended up having to work with a nutritionist to gain weight, and still wore a size 14. lol. So I’m glad you addressed body size and others perception of it.
As an adult I’ve struggled with an autoimmune disease and some comorbidity issues with that. When I addressed some unexpected weight gain a year ago with my doc he was really understanding and empathetic, we had checks frequently for a year to go over my diet, exercise, blood work before he finally suggested wygovy. He’s acknowledged how hard I work to stay healthy and at a healthy weight and how I have some preexisting stuff working against me

Congratulations on your progress!!!! I'm on Monjauro and I take the 5mg dose. I've been on since the beginning of the year. My doctor prescribed the medication back in November but I was terrified to take it so I didn't actually start until January or February. My highest weight was 265. I've struggled with my weight all my life. I had Bariatric surgery in 2003 after a total hysterectomy and although I kept my weight off for almost 20 years, having hormonal issues and autoimmune issues, and lymphedema and lipedema, I would swell and gain over 50 lbs so fast without explanation. After they figured out that I wasn't in heart failure after gaining like 90 lbs in less than a year without diet changes, they decided to have me try the shot. It has definitely been God sent. I was 209 when I started. I was 149 at my last appointment at the end of last month. My goal was 135 but at this point I have lost so much fat that I don't think I could bare to be that small. I'm just going to try to maintain from here. We'll see. I do have SEVERELY sagging skin on my arms and legs. My butt deflated. I'm not real happy about that but I'm going to see about my arms. I don't really care about anything else. As my weight settles, maybe my butt will work itself out. LOL and SMH

I am enjoying following you on this journey! I am on shot 3 of the .5mg Wegovy myself and having a bit of success (started ~190 and am 182 now). Listening to you describe how it was before you started sounded SO familiar! There were times that I would be in the middle of a meal and thinking about what I wanted to eat next and it was non stop and did not make any sense.
Now I'm 49 and entering menopause and did not realize how the hormone change would affect me! There was a 20 pound gain that seemed to come on overnight and I could NOT get it off no matter what. Seeing the scale slowly tick down and - most important for me - the body fat % finally headed in the right direction are huge motivating factors and keep me going on this crazy adventure.
I have noticed lots of burping on this dose too Lol...nothing too bad, not sulfur smelling like some people are reporting, but I definitely feel a sense of relief after it. Like a balloon slowly being deflated. To keep me from being constipated I take psyllium husk powder daily and try to make sure I get LOTS of fiber like 30grams or more, keeps everything moving Ha!

There are a lot of parts of your story that is very similar to mine story with the exception of PCOS. My heaviest was around 225 but I stopped looking at the scale so it could've been higher, I don't really know. I been on Wegovy for 2 yrs and I'm down to 165 which is close to my goal of 160 at a height of 5'7". I kept my weight number secret from my husband for YEARS. I went to a new endocrinologist about my weight and thyroid nodules and she put me on ozempic for prediabetes then transitioned to wegovy so insurance would cover it. I had some sagging/drooping in my backside😂 and a little in my face. I started hormone replacement patch for hot flashes and hair loss, then the sagging and other symptoms improved tremendously. Listen to your body and your doctor and keep going, you got this!!!🎉. You will surprise yourself. Oh, also, I tried drinking water and eating good protein and veggies for the constipation. Do some light weight training to help stay toned. Stay blessed my sister❤

Tatiana, thanks for sharing your weight. You are such an encouragement to me. I have PCOS and have been up and down in weight since I was a teenager. I'm at the highest weight I've ever been and, after watching you, I went to my doctor to see about starting Wegovy. My insurance has hurdles you have to jump before they'll do that, so I started with an oral medication called Contrave on May 27th. You start at a low dose (1 per day) and titrate up weekly (until you are taking 4 per day). I took three days of the two per day dose and had the most violet tremors at night. I felt like I was in a mosh pit with myself! I called the pharmacist and he said to stop taking it. It's disappointing because it was really working on the cravings/constant hunger. So I have a message in to my doctor and am hoping I can try Wegovy next.

So happy for you and your progress!!!! I am just starting my .5 dose this week and am down 11lbs overall. One thing I have noticed helps with the nausea and constipation is I have started drinking a small glass of buttermilk and eating a little bit of pickled ginger twice a day. Not only does it kill any nausea I may have but it is helping with my constipation too!!! Good luck on the remainder of your journey and please keep posting!!! It’s so motivating to see someone succeed at this!!!!!

I have heavy muscle mass and can weight 40 lbs more than my sister and wear the same size jeans, nobody ever guesses my weight. I'm 230 now and looking to start wegovy to get down to about 195-200 because I think I might be able to maintain that.

I have just started Wegovy. Tomorrow will be my 4th week taking my injection. Then I see my primary care physician on Monday. So far a few side effects that were easy to overcome. Biggest issue I was scared about was my meals each day, watched a few of your videos and took some tips about the things you were eating and started meal prep especially for work so now I take my lunch and I follow a schedule and I don’t eat after a certain time in the evening. These routines have helped me tremendously and I feel confident in what I eat and when I eat. I listen to my body and I know that I don’t like the nausea or the headaches so I just practice my routines and I don’t over stress myself.
Thanks for all the information and sharing your experience with us ❣️

Consider adding a fiber supplement to your water to aid with the constipation. If you are not a kombucha drinker, try it as well. Coffee is a stimulant that can help.

Same body frame and same type of ups n downs on the scale. The idea of losing weight is all consuming for me. I am currently looking for a Doc/Med Spa that will prescribe Wegovy for me. I am praying that I can get started on it soon as I am sick n tired of being sick n tired. I need to make a change and a jump start via Wegovy I think would give me the momentum that I need. I have pcos, hypothyroidism, Pre-diabetic, high blood pressure, iron deficiency, vitamin D deficiency, and have been doing intermittent fasting for years just to maintain my weight. I weigh 245. I've been on wegovy for 3 months lol. Lost like 1 pound. I guess my body is not interested in the wegovy hype. Watching other's do well is overwhelming. My weigh ins when I started at 246, then month 2 253, then month 3 245. I get weighed again later this week. I was already used to eating in a controlled schedule and portions so I don't feel a major change with the wegovy. So I'm to the point where gastric sleeve is looking like a necessary option. I'm happy many are seeing results. Just wanted to comment for those like me who are not having results to know you are not alone. I'm just continuing to comply with my doctor's advice.

You are gorgeous, I love this video. This video is 100% me, even with the PCOS, the being ashamed and all that. I've never told anyone my weight and I was considering blogging my weight loss journey, but I was like how can I if I don't want to tell my weight? My daughter was like if someone asks just say I am not ready. Funny thing, all of your videos that I have watched, I never noticed you didn't mention your weight and when you did, I felt like you didn't need to, it didn't really matter. I like that you said allow ourselves "grace" we are so hard on ourselves, when to others, it doesn't even matter. You are beautiful no matter what, congratulations!!

You look so awesome! Congrats! I can definitely relate to watching your child growing up and not taking much pictures with them because you're uncomfortable with your weight. I mentioned that to the endocrinologist at my first appointment. This is a part of my motivation to lose weight. One day I won't be around anymore and I want him to still have pictures of him and I from his childhood. I am on my second shot of the 1MG and have been tolerating it surprisingly well. Perhaps it's because the doctor made me spend an extra 4 weeks in 0.5mg because I had vomiting the first two weeks on 0.5mg. I have also been struggling with the constipation from this drug and recently found the key is to drink 9 to 12 glasses of water per day. I started this a week ago and have gotten really regular and no longer have to force or use meds to go.
