I’m diabetes 2 and Im on month 4 and I’ve lost 50 pounds. I started at 220 and I’m 170 now. I work for Memorial Hermann outpatient surgery, so I do move around and walk a whole lot plus I watch what I eat. I’m sure that’s helped me lose weight faster. ❤ I wish everyone the best journey!!! Whatever works for you, be patient and cheer 😊even if it’s 1 pound lost! 🎉❤
Same, to my understanding there are 2 different Ozempic pens. One is the weekly “one use”injection like the Wegovy. The other is the one I have that can be used for 0.25 or 0.5 but when you click it it actually shows 0.25 or 0.5mg so you know where to stop it. The reason she is counting is because her pen is probably intended for “one” use not multiple. Both work just more involved with that one 😊
It’s because she had a 2mg pen but was only taking 1mg. Normally if you’re on the 1mg dose you get the 1mg pen and just turn it until the 1 appears in the window.
So I’m reading people comments and just want to mention there are different Ozempic pens. Your doctor didn’t give you the starter dose pen or even the second pen. He gave you the 2mg dose pen that’s why he told you to count clicks. There is a .25mg:.50mg pen and a 1mg pen that will have the correct dosing labeled. I don’t want people getting confused. I’ve been on Ozempic for a while for my diabetes and I work in a medical clinic so I see the different pen types.
Thank you i was looking For this comment… because she was definitely didn’t read instructions and her provider didn’t explain that he only had the 2mg and that’s why she had to count
I’m on ozempic and this is my third month. The instructions say not to go by the clicks but turn it to your mg, which would be 1mg. Make sure when you press you hold it until it goes back to 0 and then count slowly to 6 then remove. You should see the gray dial in the clear window go up. I’ve been on ozempic since the first Sunday in April and I’ve lost about 18 pounds which is less than my coworker but I think I’ve lost a lot of inches in my legs and stomach.
@@EveYvette maybe with it being a sample set is the reason because I’m on ozempic 1mg and I don’t have to count the clicks . I just adjust the pen to the 1 on the dial. Also, my instructions that’s in my box state to not rely on the clicks.
@@Shenry4474 the gold pen is a total of 8mg so she would get 8 shots vs 4 doing 1mg doses. The gold pen does not have a 1mg marker on it so she has to count the clicks. But you are right you shouldn’t rely on the clicks that’s why I’m very surprised that her physician recommended doing so. They have videos all on tik tok showing people how to count the clicks for whatever pen you have and dose you want. It’s crazy!
@@Ydnew51 I really didn’t start seeing a difference until I was on 1mg. I stayed on the 1mg for two months and I’ve lost about 27 pounds. Don’t get discouraged, my coworker is down 50 pounds and I had to stop myself from comparing my weight loss to hers. I started in April and I think I only lost 7 pounds from then to mid May. The pounds will come off, for me I’ve lost more inches than pounds. Stay encouraged, you got this!!!
I kind of just quickly watched your video before heading to work, so I’m sorry if you already knew this and I missed it. I am on Ozempic, so when I take my injection, I leave the needle in place until it clicks back to zero and then leave it in for a couple more seconds before I remove the needle. Also, hold your finger down on the button the whole time after you insert the needle. Hope that helps❤
I was scared to but just pinch the fat and push the pin. I don't feel anything. It's good to be able to do it yourself because if you are out of town, how will you take your injection 💉 then? Just a friendly note. Do it in your stomach that's the best place.
@@youngvr5078 low carbs and high protein lots of veggies and I drink water because for some reason I get extremely thirsty with this shot. I just started doing exercises daily
I am on Ozempic (in the UK) for diabetes and the pens, as others have said, are in metered doses - no need to count clicks - this was probably because you had a sample pen that you needed to measure the dosage in clicks. Unfortunately there is a huge shortage in the UK due to people getting it for weight loss and I am struggling to get mine at the moment. It is the only thing controlling my blood sugars after being on years of multiple tablets for diabetes.
I take Ozempic as well .. I'm not sure why the nurse suggested 30 plus clicks for ine dose... you just need to click the pen to the dosage . I'm on 2mg I click the pen until I see 2mg then inject.. with Ozempic there are 4 weeks equal to 4 of your dosages in ONE pen.
The nurse suggested 36 clicks because she is not taking the entire 2mg. She is only taking 1mg which is equivalent to 36 clicks. I gather you didn't fully understand what you watched.
I was on ozempic for three weeks, I had elevated blood sugar so it was covered under my insurance… however….. the reason I went off of it is because it made me super super sick … it was like having morning sickness and the flu at the same time! I now work out 6 days a week… today was my off day, tmrw will be the end of the week and I will have ran almost 50 miles in 6 days…. I eat Whole Foods and that’s why I lose weight! Nothing beats Whole Foods
I started in January 2023 using Ozempic. I’ve only lost about 6 lbs starting at the Dose 0.25 then 0.5 & I’m now at 1mg dosing per week. It’s been months of struggling & disappointment. I’m never hungry. I have heartburn & feel full all the time. Especially after eating and I’m only consuming about 1/4 of what I’d of consumed before Ozempic. (Ex: 1/2 a sandwich & cup of yogurt) Then I’m not hungry anymore, all day but i have to force myself to eat some thing as i get to feeling kinda shaky n ill. I don’t have results like so many of y’all. I’m not seeing much weight loss at all. Worst of all, i can’t “go”. I hate it. But I’m told to just stick to it, I’ve come so far on my dosing schedule. Doc started me on it being that I’m pre diabetic & wt loss would help. I can’t do any strenuous exercise…I’m disabled due to degenerative disk disease/spinal. So that don’t help. Idk what to do anymore. I just cry. 😢
@3nMe. I just read ur story. Please don't cry. Try to watch or listen to upbeat programs or music and know that u will succeed if u stay on track. Remember, everyone's body processes things differently. Also, most of these people are moving around a lot. Don't compare ur journey with theirs. Take it 'one day at a time'. Luv urself and keep gratitude. 💗 ❤❤❤❤❤❤
with ozempic, you also have to wait and count a slow 6 seconds after injection and before you remove the needle from your body because you can pull the needle out and medicine can still be coming out. you can see that the medicine went in by looking at the medicine in the clear window.
that stinks about the clicking. ozempic pens come in the 1mg dosing. so you just turn it all the way until it stops which is the 1mg and you inject. counting 36 clicks from a different pen would definitly be a pain
I started Wegovy this past Sunday and am happy to report that I don’t have any side effects. Your videos have really helped me and inspired me! I was so worried due to some complicated heath issues but phew it is working! I am down 4.2 pounds Sunday to Wednesday. I know that likely won’t continue at that once but I am pleased. I also noticed I have a lot more energy. Thanks for helping me kick start this journey!
You're not dumb...she's a poor teacher. Those pens you need to hear the needle engage before you inject, and you wait up to 10 seconds after injecting to make sure the medication went in.
Congrats!!! You should be proud of yourself. It's about time someone came up with something "real" to help people who are overweight. Everyone should love themselves at any weight, but that doesn't mean they don't want to be healthier I've been on Wegovy about the same amount of time as you. I started February 16th, and today is July 10th. I've lost 40 pounds. Unfortunately, about a month ago, I ended up in the ER. I had to stop the Wegovy temporarily for two weeks. I've been back on for about one and a half weeks. I'm so glad I didn't gain weight during those two weeks. I was nervous I would.
12lbs in two months with 0.25 then 0.50. I had my first 1.0 shot las week. I literally uploaded a video about my experience yesterday. The odd thing is I am not getting the medication in pen form like this. I take shots of Semaglutide from a vial with syringes. Instead of brand names Wegovy or Ozempic, ask for the actual, generic name of these medications, Semaglutide.
Btw Congrats!!! Can't wait to get to onederland! I'm at 220. I only lost 2lbs on the 1st dosage. Felt pretty discouraged but nit giving up. I have incorporated some weight training recently and just praying it works.
If you haven't already, change your diet. If you combine a keto approach with intermittent fasting you'll see much better results and without crazy side effects.
It’s supposed to take months. Didn’t you read about it first? They start with really low dosages at first to get your body used to it.. and then after you get up to the “maintenance dose” the weight loss begins
I’m on my 5th week of Ozempic. I never feel the shot but I know I’m getting it cause I get abdominal cramps afterwards. I’m still hungry so the starter dose did nothing for me, but I’m gonna keep going. No one showed me how to use it I just read the directions nervously 10 times lol. Btw they say don’t count clicks, just scroll until your dose appears in the window.
Girl my husband is on Ozempic bc he has diabetes and I don’t blame you for feeling the way you do I don’t like it either. I’m on Wegovy too and have lost 37 lbs so far. I’m a month behind you. You’re doing great and look awesome!
@@ariamason9324It’s the same but somehow it’s different. I’m on adderall XR and the generic gives me diarrhea. Idk how that works, but generic drugs can be different. I believe it’s because brand name drugs often put a lot of research into dosage release. I’m guessing the base ingredients effect how the body absorbes it, effecting symptoms. I have heard from many people that generic Xanax is significantly less effective then branded. I’ve never taken it myself, but it’s a commonly known thing so idk
I was just approved for Wegovy and will be starting my first dose this week. I had to call over 8 pharmacies to find it! I really hope I don't experience any negative side effects, I am most nervous about the nausea. I am used to injectables because I have a pen for my psoriatic arthritis. Thanks for sharing your journey with us and congrats on the weight loss! I hope I am able to see onederland in the future!
You will love it. Constipation was my worse enemy. A definite side effect. I have not had a problem getting my dosage levels. I'm in month 5 have lost 27lbs. Doesn't seem like much but now I'm only 10 pounds over my idea weight so I'm happy
@@carolynjames4605 congratulations on your weight loss! I am already planning on increasing my fiber intake just in case I experience constipation. But maybe I wont have as much of an issue with it because I don't have a gallbladder. We shall see though!
My mom did that for 2 months!! She was on a low dose so she didn't notice because of the small amount. She figured it out when the had her increase her dose. I'm on trulisity and love it. Have lost over 100lbs on trulisity. I am insulin resistant so I will always need to take trulisity. I am so greatful my Dr gave me trulisity. I had 2 open heart surgeries gained 100lbs. On trulisity I'm never hungry but when I am I eat whatever I want. I only eat when I'm hungry and I do not over eat at all now. I feel so much better now . I have started throwing up the day after my shot. I lost50lbs the 1st month 40 the 2nd and have slowly been losing weight since. I think my issue is I am never hungry so I don't eat much. When I eat 3 meals and 2 small snacks I'll start losing again. I just don't ever want to eat because I'm not hungry.
🎉🎉🎉 I'm on Ozempic. I don't think we have Wegovy in Canada yet. But I've had great results. I think ozempic is customizable because of the clicks but having a ready to use no fuss pen sounds really good.
I’ve been on ozempic for 2 months and have only lost 4lbs. My appetite has not changed at all. The only diff I have notice is that I have not gained weight and have lost 1 size in clothing.
They gave you a larger dosage pen instead of the 1 mg one. I can see how that can be nerve wracking having to count the clicks. Also, when injecting when you hold down the injection button and the dial returns to zero wait 6-10 seconds before removing the needle to make sure you have injected all of the medicine. But when you go back ask for a prescription for 1 mg. All you have do is turn and stop when you get to the 1 mg marker, inject, wait then go.
That 200 mark is such an accomplishment🎉 I'm at 206 was at 220 and I'm using the semaglutide shots. It feels like it's taking forever to get to 199! Congrats on your journey❤
We have the same journey Sis! I've been trying to get below 200 since 2014 and I'm on the semaglutide shots too but its been slow. On .50 now and weigh 223🤣🤣
My husband and son has diabetics and have had a lot of issues get their pens. My son for the last 4 months has had to scrabble each month to find a pharmacy with stock. He normally calls 12+ pharmacies a month till he finds one that can fill hiss prescription of Ozempic.
This is what I came here for. There are so many diabetics whose diabetes was controlled with these meds but now there is a shortage because it is being given for weight loss. Although weight loss is an issue, its a vanity issue that is usually the driving factor towards getting these medications.
I am in the UK and also having the same issue - I am also diabetic. Even my chemist felt it should be prioritied to diabetics first. It is really controlling my HbA1c .
I’m on Ozempic it’s so simple to use and I’ve never been told to to wait 36 clicks. You just turn to the proper dosage look at the middle which should have a little drip which indicates it’s ready to inject and it you watch the window you will see that the medication has gone in.
You can get the medication compounded at a compounding pharmacy. It doesn't come in the pen, just a regular "shot". Insurance probably doesn't cover it, but it's much cheaper than Wegovy. Just in case you can't find it again. You still need a prescription from your doctor to get it.
so happy to see this video from you - I have 1 more wegovy 1mg, am having good success here and didn't want to move up so my prescriber switched me over to ozempic too. I have been youtubing the heck out of how many clicks and what not so I am ready Lol. Based on a couple of the comments I've seen in the wegovy and ozempic subreddits missing that second smaller needle cover is pretty common so don't beat yourself over about it. Onward!!
Them needles hurt after awhile I took Saxenda not much success there was but Wegovy 17lbs within almost 2 months not quite but it's working!!!🎉🎉🎉Almost 50 I feel happy to lose something 😅😅 YOU LOOK GREAT BY THE WAY!
I am diabetic and on ozempic and it’s not hard to use at all. You don’t have to actually count the clicks. You just turn it until it gets to your desired dose. You will hear the clicks but you don’t have to count them. It’s really quite simple. Congrats on your weight loss!
I have use ozempic all of the doses to 2 mg never lost any weight on it. I gain weight on it and it made me eat more. My doctor since put me on moujavon which I haven’t stated yet and it’s 2.5 mg
Ozempic-3 shots at 2.5 which it says on the dial and the last 2 weeks are .50 which is all the way. Keep the pen in for about 6 secs after it fully injects into skin.
I understand your concern, I took my 1st yet ever shot of Ozempic 2 days ago and I was nervous if it was dispensed or not but yes now I know that I went in right. I followed a UA-cam doctors video step by step. The 1st time was nerve wrecking!!!
Congratulations on your journey and your accomplishments!!! 🎉💐 I began Wegovy 0.25 mg May 10th then the manufacturer stop supplying and I wasn't able to get the 0.50 mg until this week. So nothing in June! I just started 0.50 mg on Tuesday and I pray the supplies are not interrupted again. Thank you for advising the doctors office may have a sample of Ozempic if this should happen again.
My Dr also gave me an ozempic pin because i couldn't find Wegovy in my immediate area. She had also gave me the same demonstration. I was as frustrated as you, but managed to give myself the dosage and i had to count back the clicks to get to 1.7mg. I hate the whole process of injections with Ozempic. Good news we found Wegovy at another Walgreens in a different city and had them to mail it to me Yay! I will start back with Wegovy next month! Good luck to anyone else looking for Wegovy.
I started Wegovy 12 days ago. It took me calling 13 pharmacies to find the first dose!! I didn't feel a thing on my first two shots, either. No side effects, either. I lost 6.6 pounds the first week! I was shocked (in a good way)! I will weigh myself again on Tuesday (injection day). Definitely not expecting another 6 lbs weight loss. Tatiana, you're killing it! Can't wait to hear your news next week!
I was on Ozempic before I switched to Wegovy. Was on that for 3 months. Never had issues refilling Ozempic. Switched to Wegovy when I changed insurance. Received my 1st box quickly. Now CVS and my Endo said that it's backed up until September. So, she made the suggestion to switch me to Saxenda. I told my Endocrinologist that if I experience any refill shortages with Saxenda, I'm dropping the meds and going full speed ahead with a surgery revision. ***You'll know if the needle doesn't go in that you'll feel wetness. ***
Don't feel bad! My friend did the same thing. make sure after the shot count to 6 before removing the needle. Other than that Ozempic has been a success for me. I have been on it for about 2 1/2 months and I am down 14lbs. I wasted my 1st shop as well because I did not know I needed to hold it in place for 6 seconds after the injection.
I’ve been on Mounjaro since December. I’m down to between 265-274 from 347 this time last year. I didn’t fall off the wagon on vacation; I just walk 7-9 miles a day and lift etc at my job. I didn’t do anything resembling exercise while on vacation. LOL. The only time I feel something with my shots is if I take it right out of the fridge. Also, in my arm, I see no residual come out of the injection site, but do see a pin drop size drop come out if I put it in my abdomen. What’s the price point for wegovy? Up until these last two boxes, I’ve gotten the $25 discount price. The last two have been $500. I’m grateful it’s not the $1300, because I’d be done. But I told my doctor the other day that I needed a prescription for Xanax for the end of every box because it’s such a fight every time. But until recently, they always got it to the $25. $500 is still a lot, but for now, I can cut out my daily cold brew coffees and nicotine gum (I’m a truck driver. Those are driving staples) subsidize my weight loss addiction. LOL. So as long as I can afford it or justify the cost, I’m gonna keep going.
On a side note, my local weight lost clinics have wegovy and tirzepitide from a compounding pharmacy. I don’t know the price of the wegovy pens, but as long as my mounjaro pens stay $500, it was cheaper to just go with the official pens vs the combining pharmacy because of my dosage. If I was just starting, it wouldn’t be bad.
I’m on the 2mg of Ozempic because they didn’t have the 1.7 of Wegovy. Yea once I’m done with this month, I’m getting a 90 day supply of the 2.4 Wegovy, because this shortage is getting on my nerves
I started with Ozempic. I just follow the written instructions every time and it is easy. However, my pen gives me the exact dose - no "clicks". They would make me nervous. 😮
I’m on Ozempic as well, I was on Trulicity first, I didn’t like Trulicity! I made the same mistake at first too, I forgot to take off the thin needle cover, and wasted a shot! I then started to google a video, and it helped tremendously! That Nurse was confusing on her tutorial! I write on the box the day, date, and which side of my stomach I injected! Counting clicks is crazy to me, the pen is set on your dosage, once it stops, inject, hold for at least 6 seconds, and done! Thanks for sharing your experience, and keep on keeping on!❤
Wow! You're weight loss is super great! I'm so excited watching you as it is encouraging for me! Also, I hope I do not have to use Ozempic but...at least your experience with it has my eyes wide open! 🙂
I’m so happy I found your video. Watching this made me realize that I have taken 3 shots wrong because I didn’t remove the plastic cap off the needle smdh
I was on 0.5 wegovy 2 months because no local pharmacy had 1 mg. So I skipped to 1.7 mg. I take zofran 30 min before the shot just in case to prevent nausea. Next week I’ll go to 2.4. So don’t be afraid to skip a dose.
Hello T…… You just appeared on my UA-cam do I assume it was because I searched ‘switching from Mounjaro to Ozempic’. We are doing similarly. I started on Wegovy long ago then switched to Mounjaro. I was doing well but suddenly could not get my 15mg dose filled anywhere!!! I tired of trying so I called my tele health doctor about it and she prescribed 1mg Ozempic. I pay of of pocket b/c I do not have diabetes and am on Medicare. So I got my $900+ of Ozempic filled. I need to start it in a couple of days. I am nervous about the injection directions. I will watch many videos first so I don’t goof up. Good to know it’s working for you! I only got one box w/o a refill so hopefully the mounjaro will be back in stock soon. I am also at 194 lbs! It’s going slow but I plan to be on these meds for the rest of my life ( I’m 68 ). I look forward to follow you…..LA
Unfortunately I live in Canada, so I cannot get Wegovy, so I was using Ozempic. IMO, it was straight forward to use after reading the instructions (your nurse should have just told you read the instructions, because she explained it in such a convoluted way and did not tell you that you need to hold it for at least 6-10 seconds). You're not dumb, you were not given proper instructions. I was trying Ozempic for 5 weeks and I only had a 5lbs weight loss, despite cutting my calories by 300 and exercising 3x a week. I decided to stop taking it because when I see other peoples weight loss at 5 weeks who have not make the types of changes I did. I haven't gained any weight since I stopped taking it, which is good. I'm open to trying Ozempic again, but it's expensive and I feel like it's too much money for me to not be seeing good results. Thank you for continuing to share your journey with us and congrats on all your success!
Hi, I was on Mounjaro and had to stop taking it. I have type 2 diabetes and know that I really need to get my weight down. I really liked the Mounjaro. I lost 35 pounds in 3 months with the Mounjaro. As my dosage increased I started having injection site reactions. I am now on my second week of Ozempic. I really don't like it because it is not helping to curbing my appetite. Though I am not having a reaction so far with the Ozempic, I am fearful that I will gain back the weight that I have lost. Hopefully, as my dosage increases I will get better results.
Great Job!!! I’m also on the Ozempic pen that you have to measure by clicks. What I found to be very helpful was once you find your dosage mark it with a permanent marker it helps you to find it next time without all the counting. And 2 ways to tell the medicine has been administered once you’ve held down the button is 1. You’ll hear a click 2. The dial will reset. I hope this helps…Once again congratulations and thank you for sharing your journey with us!
I'm on Ozempic, and when I was on 1 mg. My pen had a dial that you turned, and it would stop at 1 mg. Then you remove both caps inject hold button to release the medication hold for at least 6 seconds and remove and dispose of the used needle. So, perhaps you only have to count the clicks on samples. There are some videos out there on how to count the clicks with charts.
I switched to ozempic last weekend. When I put the needle on the medication was leaking from the tip of the needle. I didn’t see a second protective cover, I’ll check for it my next injection. Congratulations on your weight loss.
I'm on Ozempic for over 18 months. I've lost 55 pounds and have 25 more to go. I needed this medication for my insulin resistant, fatty liver, and A1C I have nausea sometimes, but I handle it with Zofran.
I been watching Ozempic videos and wegovy and I never saw a video explaining how to use Ozempic. I thought both was the same injection. I did hear about the clicks but I thought it was for both. Thank you for explaining how to use them. I will be starting Ozempic soon. I need to lose at least 160 pounds, wish me God's speed. Congratulations on your weight loss you look amazing.
I’m currently on my 6th week of semaglutide injections and so far I’ve lost 8lbs. I’m going to stick with it until I reach my goal of losing 35 pounds.
Why didn’t they just move you up? I literally only got throw .25 and the shortage happened. My Dr said we could try the 1.7 since it’s available. I was a little nervous but it went fine. I’m on my 3rd pen in the box and have had zero complications. I had headaches with the .25 so I really thought something would happen. It didn’t. Maybe I’m just really lucky? It’s working like a charm.
This Thursday will be my 3rd shot of Ozempic. I have a family history of diabetes, and, my A1C wasn't good. I was grateful that my Dr gave me samples. With hardly no instruction from my Dr. I read the pamphlets that came with the pen. She never mentioned anything about counting clicks, just to start at .25...I think. The only side effect I've had is the Ozempic fatigue", but that's getting better. It was either this, or gastric bypass.
I am on ozempic because I am a type two diabetic. My doctor called in my prescription and I watched a video on how to administer the drug. I did not have any issues. However, I have had some medical training.
The pen you show is 8mg (4x 2mg) and one dose is 72 clicks for 1x 2mg dose (it says 2mg if you turn it all the way up, and you can turn back down to 0 without using the shot) 36 clicks is a half dose = 1mg (on that size pen) but you need to buy extra nedels at the farmacy (same as for insulin "Flextouch") and you need to keep it refrigerated all the time (take it out 2h before use) officially this medicin expires 6 weeks after first use (without refrigeration) and Novo Nordisk spesificaly says NOT to count clicks and only take full doses... that said, if it is propperly stored all the time you got a pen with a 8 week's 1mg supply ;-) Warning: if the liquid change from clear to cloudy it needs to be discarded! DO NOT USE!
Is your magnetic liner coming back because your lashes don't work with other magnetic liners.Still waiting on my second month of wegovy. I enjoyed it. Loved forgetting to eat.
Hi there! glad you got something since Weg is in such short supply. I was to go to the 1mg tomorrow, but, I can't find it and I changed insurance and this new one doesn't cover it. Even with the $500 coupon, it would be around $1100 and I cannot afford that. So my doc said we'll discuss next treatment at my appointment on the 20th. I'm not thrilled but the most recent side effect was often after I eat, and I don't over eat, it hurts to bend forward. Granted I have a hernia so that could be aggravating it more, but today, we were at a restaurant - I had a few chips and salsa, and half of a small burrito and I was in agony trying to get out of the booth and walk to the car. So, maybe there's something else for me other than Weg. And, it kind of didn't stop my appetite every day, some days I could go 12 hours without food, other days I was ravenous. Anyhow, thank you for keeping us posted and sharing. I read through the comments to see what others are thinking and going through. It makes this who journey less lonesome. Stay sweet. Hugs from across the state!
After I screwed a dose up, I watched more videos. Apparently you only have to see the drop on the end of the needle just ONCE. I thought I needed to do that each time which also made me lose some of the dose. Frustrating!!
Hi. I love your videos. I watched them before I started Ozempic in May. I can understand your frustration with counting clicks. I thought you should know that Ozempic can be prescribed in two different pens. One pen dispenses .25 mg doses, or .50 mg doses, and both are clearly marked on the pen, no clicks required. The second pen comes in 1 mg doses, and that is clearly marked on the pen, so you just dial to it. So I don’t know how your sample pen is/was set up, but I understood that 1 mg is the highest Ozempic dose, so I am puzzled about the statement that you had to take one-half of the 2 mg dose. If you keep taking Ozempic, you should be able to get a 1 mg pen! Good luck. And thanks for your tips about hydration and diet. They really helped.
Those Ozempic pen issues would have given me major anxiety 😅 Congrats on your weight loss that’s awesome. I did 1 month .25 Wegovy and didn’t lose 1 lb! I noticed no reduction in appetite and no side effects either. At one point I was up 3 lbs. Yesterday should have been Day 1 of .50 but after 2 weeks my pharmacy is still out of stock. I’ve called several others. I hope the shortages are resolved very soon. 🤞🏽
I took my last 1 mg two weeks ago. I am unable to get the 1.7 mg. So because I am unable to get the next doses I was told to get the 1 mg. I have not been taking anything for these past two weeks. Monday my Rite Aid told me they place the order and hopefully, it be there or I will once again not have it. So far on Wegovy I went from 231 to 195.6. I started two weeks after you did.
I’ve instructed many diabetics on usage of their insulin pens, which are used very similar to ozempic. She should have told you to hold for a count of 10…..you still would have gotten some medication, but not the full dose. Also be careful when inserting the needle, as it can be bent easily and then you will get NO medication as it will not have pierced the membrane of the pen!
Your doctor gave you sample pens. As others have mentioned their are pens with .25, .50 and 1mg markings on them. You turn the dial to the correct dose, inject and count to 10 and then remove.
Get my Semaglutide from a wellness clinic for $450 three month supply and they come in mall pins like one would use for insulin. Not sure why people still get this stuff from a doctor at high cost or insurance and chances of not getting at all. Down 10lbs first which is amazing because I started at a 16% body fat so Im pretty lean and just using it to help with my sugar cravings.
OMG! This is my same story. I was on Wegovy they switched me to Ozempic, and I wasted 2 shots because of that dang cap. I don't feel any difference. I need to just wait for Wegovy to come back in stock.
It must be the brandi they give you cause mine is marked for the dosage from .25 up to 2. I'm with you, if I had to count clicks I would mess it up so badly.
May I ask, why didn’t your dr prescribe your wegovy in 2, 0.5 mg pens and you do 2 shots a week to make up the 1mg. Plus you don’t have to count the clicks, you just click it until you see the 1 mg dose. And always hold it in for 10 full seconds after you’ve injected.
Wegovy is supposed to be on back order till like September. All of the lower doses (anything less than 1.7) is on back order. I was about to be on .5 mg and couldn’t get it either. I was prescribed Saxenda. Been on it 4 days now. Ozempic wasn’t approved by my insurance since it’s for diabetes not weight loss. Saxenda works tho, but it’s daily injections which is more annoying
You look great! Can you share with us what you usually eat? I was going to try wegovy but the doctor scared me off with the side effects. She also told me eating carbs will make you sick… is that true?
Im having a horrible time getting it. My pharmacy never can get it. Every month its like wrrks before get a refill. Very unsuccessful because its so scarce.
I'm wondering is it because it's a sample, because my pens are not like that at all, if dosage is .25, click to .25, 1 mg, the pen was 1 mg, 2 mg, click to 2 mg, so I'm not sure why she had you clicking 36 times
I wish everyone the best journey!!! Whatever works for you, be patient and cheer 😊even if it’s 1 pound lost! 🎉❤
I've been on Wegovy since mid to late March of this year and I've only lost 30 lbs! 😢I'm at 2.5mg. What am I doing wrong?
Can you explain your dose progression to have such success please
I’m on Ozempic and I was never told to count 36 clicks. I just run it up to .50 and inject it. Your weight loss is awesome!!
I have been on Ozempic for awhile as well and the 36 clicks is new to me???? I am on the .25
Same, to my understanding there are 2 different Ozempic pens.
@@navisa01correct
Me either. I wonder if hers is different because she had a Sample. Mine I don't count any clicks. Just turn to the Dosage for that week.
Absolutely, I think it's the miseducation of the provider. Each dose has a different pen. Your weight loss looks great❤
Yes cause I have the starter pen.
Glad you cleared it up-also the instructions are literally on the needle box and the leaflet that comes with the medication
Thanks for clarification.
She’s counting clicks because of the pen she has. The larger dose pens don’t have a marker for 1mg so that’s why she has to count the clicks
It’s crazy!
Lucky u im on month 2 and only 5 pounds
I go to my Dr office every week to get my shot I'm afraid to do it myself I'm currently on wegovy month 5 and I've lost 45 pounds I'm so excited ❤
What dosage are you on?
I was scared to but just pinch the fat and push the pin. I don't feel anything. It's good to be able to do it yourself because if you are out of town, how will you take your injection 💉 then? Just a friendly note. Do it in your stomach that's the best place.
Could you please tell me what your diet is?? It's just not working for me and getting discouraged... I'm currently at .50 now month 2and barely 3 lbs
@@youngvr5078 low carbs and high protein lots of veggies and I drink water because for some reason I get extremely thirsty with this shot. I just started doing exercises daily
@@youngvr5078it wont work til you get at 1 mg just hang in there. I IF and ozempic in the beginning and it took a few months for it to start working
How about reading the instructions? My pharmacist did a horrible job explaining. So I read the instructions! Easy peasy
Forget the “no make up.” You’re gorgeous.
I just cry. 😢
I have opposite effect. I get loose stools usually around day 3 or 4
I really appreciate you taking the time to teach us how to use the injections, what to expect, and your overall experience
with ozempic, you also have to wait and count a slow 6 seconds after injection and before you remove the needle from your body because you can pull the needle out and medicine can still be coming out. you can see that the medicine went in by looking at the medicine in the clear window.
that stinks about the clicking. ozempic pens come in the 1mg dosing. so you just turn it all the way until it stops which is the 1mg and you inject. counting 36 clicks from a different pen would definitly be a pain
Thanks for helping me kick start this journey!
where did you find it?? I can't find any anywhere!! 😭
@ivettefer I have never had a problem getting my dosage of Wegovy. I get mine through mail order. It's called pharmacy advantage
Everyone should love themselves at any weight, but that doesn't mean they don't want to be healthier
I've been on Wegovy about the same amount of time as you.
Iam stuck on 280 been taking one month 8 pounds
Isn't it the same medication 😕. Like Tylenol and acetaminophen
@@ariamason9324K Tylenol IS acetaminophen. Tylenol is just the brand name..
Wow 50 lbs in 1 month?! Do you mind sharing start weight?
🎉🎉🎉 I'm on Ozempic. I don't think we have Wegovy in Canada yet. But I've had great results. I think ozempic is customizable because of the clicks but having a ready to use no fuss pen sounds really good.
I’ve been on ozempic for 2 months and have only lost 4lbs. My appetite has not changed at all. The only diff I have notice is that I have not gained weight and have lost 1 size in clothing.
Aww man. I’m sorry to hear this. I was hoping to see better results after 2-months. Hope it gets better.
You just need a higher dosage.
@@PrettyandThings I have an appt with my Endocronologist in 2 weeks let’s see what happens
My all time highest weight was 227 last week. I can so identify with wanting the scale to display 199. Best luck to you.
Compounding version is very unsafe and dangerous.
Same! I get mine tomorrow and am so nervous to start. It will have a dropper with the ml/mg on the side. When did you start?
so happy to see this video from you - I have 1 more wegovy 1mg, am having good success here and didn't want to move up so my prescriber switched me over to ozempic too. I have been youtubing the heck out of how many clicks and what not so I am ready Lol. Based on a couple of the comments I've seen in the wegovy and ozempic subreddits missing that second smaller needle cover is pretty common so don't beat yourself over about it. Onward!!
just started!! filming my progress i am so excited!
I just started the other day. My Dr. Told me wait til the line goes to the end
You don’t need makeup! Those beautiful green eyes make you stunning!
Congratulations on your journey and your accomplishments!!! 🎉💐
I began Wegovy 0.25 mg May 10th then the manufacturer stop supplying and I wasn't able to get the 0.50 mg until this week.
Thanks for sharing your experience, and keep on keeping on!❤
lol I am already confused! We were so spoiled with the wegovy shots! I don't get why the manufactures can't hurry up lol
Wow! You're weight loss is super great! I'm so excited watching you as it is encouraging for me! Also, I hope I do not have to use Ozempic but...at least your experience with it has my eyes wide open! 🙂
You look amazing ❤I had to change to Saxenda and it works the same way but administration is easier. But it's every day....Just FYI.
I love it .I have the new tech needle don't feel.a thing. once you hear the click the medicine was used.
@@JuanitaDaily-k5d my 2mg pens have the 1mg mark but the first 3 boxes I received didn’t.( I can’t remember the dosage)
congratulations!!! You are doing amazing.
I switched to ozempic last weekend. When I put the needle on the medication was leaking from the tip of the needle. I didn’t see a second protective cover, I’ll check for it my next injection. Congratulations on your weight loss.
Just ask a diabetic how to use the pen, it's the exact same thing.
I'm on Ozempic for over 18 months. I've lost 55 pounds and have 25 more to go. I needed this medication for my insulin resistant, fatty liver, and A1C
I have nausea sometimes, but I handle it with Zofran.
I know they are exact same thing but to me, it seems I felt better on Wegovy! Congrats on your weight loss.
Thank you once again, my dear sister for the update on the products.
Great week and also I’m going to pass this on to my friend.
my mom has diabetes and takes insulin so im extremely familiar with how to use those pens lol. not bad once you get used to it
Yes ozempic can be intimidating BUT after the 3rd/4th shot you’ll get the hang of it… I have no side effects however with rybelsus I did 😏
I’m currently on my 6th week of semaglutide injections and so far I’ve lost 8lbs.
I had the same issue with my first shot of trulicity. My daughter removed it as soon as she pressed the button. I don't know if I got it
Oh my God!!! Thank you!!! I did the exact same thing with the second needle cap :
That nurse is crazy. Whether you are taking .025,.05. or 1mg the pen is dialed to that numerical number, no need to count the clicks!
I am on ozempic because I am a type two diabetic. My doctor called in my prescription and I watched a video on how to administer the drug. I did not have any issues. However, I have had some medical training.
The pen you show is 8mg (4x 2mg) and one dose is 72 clicks for 1x 2mg dose
(it says 2mg if you turn it all the way up, and you can turn back down to 0 without using the shot)
36 clicks is a half dose = 1mg (on that size pen) but you need to buy extra nedels at the farmacy (same as for insulin "Flextouch")
and you need to keep it refrigerated all the time (take it out 2h before use) officially this medicin expires 6 weeks after first use (without refrigeration) and Novo Nordisk spesificaly says NOT to count clicks and only take full doses...
that said, if it is propperly stored all the time you got a pen with a 8 week's 1mg supply ;-)
Warning: if the liquid change from clear to cloudy it needs to be discarded! DO NOT USE!
Is your magnetic liner coming back because your lashes don't work with other magnetic liners.Still waiting on my second month of wegovy. I enjoyed it. Loved forgetting to eat.
Any issues using it. Weird symptoms.. i am just curiois- as i haven't taken first dose yet...
Congrats on your achievements.
Thank you.
Hi there! glad you got something since Weg is in such short supply.
These instructions are because it was a sample. When you are prescribed a certain dosage the pens are u either 4x use or 2x use.
There's a shortage because people are taking it for weight loss and not dang diabetes. It is ridiculous.
@@yolandavoglezon7217 Wegovy is not approved for Diabetes, Ozempic is. Wegovy is approved for weight loss…that’s not ridiculous.
@@yolandavoglezon7217uh..no. It’s for both.
congrats! you are doing very well I never heard about the 36 clicks either i just turn the dial to ,05 and hit it im trying to get to 200 12 lbs away
Congrats young lady!! Your look great!! ❤
Congratulations to your weight loss!😊
Thank you for the updates looking forward to ur next video very informative thanks for sharing
Wish I could get your leftover ozempic. I love it. Stay on the lowest dose every ten days. Works perfect. No dude effects
There's a video on Ozempic website how to use the pen and paper or website instructions. Human error happens.
OMG! This is my same story. I was on Wegovy they switched me to Ozempic, and I wasted 2 shots because of that dang cap. I don't feel any difference. I need to just wait for Wegovy to come back in stock.
It’s literally the same medication
I wasted a whole shot using a syringe cause I thought it was in but it wasn’t. The mechanical (mounjaro) pens were easier, lol
Thank you so much for sharing and Congrats on your weight loss.
I can’t even get my prescription filled and I switched to Saxenda. Still no dice. I’m gaining all the weight I was losing right back
You look great!
If you’re using the 2 mg pen but only getting 1 mg dose shouldn’t you have 8 doses in the pen instead of four? That is what I expected.
