My initial impression was that it was an Archer. There are at least four version of the Archer, including the Jeff Beck mod. I wouldn't be surprised if J Rockett modded one for him as well.
since several month (the interview where he speak about people buying pedal he used) I'm thinking maybe Mayer is doing his own Van Halen secret message and try to fool us with different painting and other tricks ;) Maybe his real board is hiding in the back just for fun...Like Van Halen and all his fake info he was used to give just to mess with people searching for his sound .... Great video again thanks
Pedal builders must be falling over themselves to get John to use one of their pedals. Like when he used the Marshall blues breaker pedal. I got one when they first first came out . Good price at the time . Used it for many years. Now going for crazy prices. That’s what playing guitar does to you.
I love the idea that John could troll us and swap all of the cases and the electronics with each other. This would drive us crazy and create some hypes with us pedal fanatics.
My theory: Since JHS is doing all the Klon memes on Instagram and John likes everyone of them, I bet the mystery pedal is JHS' version of the Klon which they will release soon.
I originally thought it was an archer on the fb group, and I'm going to stick with that! The album has really grown on me as well. Great video as always.
I use a looper pedal for the same purpose. Kicking on delay and reverb at the same time as I rarely use one without the other for what I play. Basically acts as an FX loop integrated into my pedal board. It's an absolute godsend if you regularly need to activate multiple effects at once.
I think hes using a boss sd1 into and arion chorus with a dd3. He has a crew of miniature monkeys remixing those pedals in to vintage pedal enclosures just to eff people up.
Have you considered that the mystery pedal form LTH is perhaps the J,rcokett Lenny, it has the top mounted jacks and the rough colour, however most of the J. Rockett pedals have too mounted jacks and that rough colour
@@JustinJeske oh yeah sorry, didn’t notice that, there is a possibility for some other J rockett pedals as they do a couple dumble style and Klon style pedals which would compliment the TS10 for a stacked gain tone quite well
I still think the mystery pedal could be a Jackson Audio Prism. The mosfet boost makes sense and it gets knarly like the Klon. If I could own only one pedal it would be the prism. It's a boost not it's a pre amp too oh an it's an overdrive...lots of features.
I think he wants to protect pedals from being jacked up to outrageous prices just because he plays them. I don’t think it’s about getting his tone it’s about protecting the sanctity of affordable pedals for the masses. He understands he has a massive impact
This is next level pyscho analysis of pictures of a pedalboard even if its looking black and all. Holy moly! Just stumbled upon this video and this is creepy
You've clearly never been that passionate or cared about gear if you think this is "creepy" 😂 🤦🏻♂️. So many people clearly want to know this stuff, look at my channels subs and views
@@JustinJeske You did flex all the followers and subs that you have. I assume you should know how to take comments like these already. Lol let it pass you bro.
If this mystery pedal isn’t a J.Rockett Archer what do you think it is? Let me know!

Plumes, Earthquaker?
Could be a morning glory
@@tonyirso no, because the jacks are placed on top of the pedal

I sold mine, not worth the cash imo. Doesn’t really sound great at all if you take out the Mayer thing.
Mayer showing his Clapton influence and sound.

Thanks so much Adrian!!

It's totally possible!
@@JustinJeske or how about a JM Signature Klon-Type Pedal by JHS. Now we are onto something... :-D
Yes! This or it’s a JRAD Jeff Beck mod Archer. He’s a huge Beck fan 🤔
Josh has said after the KTR came out that he would never make another Klon Klone. JHS has already made a run of klones a few years back.
THANK GOD I GOT MY EUNA WHEN I DID!
Shit will be impossible to acquire now that JM stans have gotten on it.
i’m always shocked how much empty space john leaves on his boards
Another great vid! Your channel is my favorite detective series ever
Thank you so much! 🙏🏻
@@JustinJeske what about a Scott Mckeon Fuzz Pedal? I know this sounds dumb, but it looks just like it!

Intro is 10/10 hahaha nicely done
Haha thanks for getting my sense of humour 😂🙏🏻

To me the TS10 on it’s own doesn’t have enough gain for that solo tone. So it makes sense the mystery pedal would be a klon clone.
I agree, it’s more saturated than his regular lead tone with just the TS10
"Well I just like to look at the pictures" LOOOL. Awesome video, man!
Thanks brotha!!! 🙏🏻😂
any pedals similar to the keeley looper you'd recommend? Thank you!!
That mystery pedal is going to bug me for a long long time! I vote Mythos!
Love all your videos man!
love the intro!
Ha, thanks bro 😂

This really is some serious detective work going on here...I'm interested to hear Justin play.
Jackson Audio Prism?
In the sob rock interview with Zane is John using a 65 Princeton reverb reissue? Or is it a 64 hand-wired, or actual vintage Princeton?
Third board, ront row, all the way to his left is not silver/gray; it is the TC Electronic Pipeline.
Very well could be! Can’t say for 100% certainty without a better picture
Have you considered that the mystery pedal form LTH is perhaps the J,rcokett Lenny, it has the top mounted jacks and the rough colour, however most of the J. Rockett pedals have too mounted jacks and that rough colour
The Lenny has 2 knobs which would rule it out!

Y'all went in deep on this one haha. Dang 🤦♂️
I feel like I’m watching someone analyzing photos for Sasquatch, the Loch Ness Monster, or UFOs.
Waiting for the History Channel to pick up my show… 😅
I really hope the mystery pedal is the archer, there are so many klon clones it would be nice to know which one John prefers next to the real thing!

Thanks brotha, glad you understand my sense of humour 😂🙏🏻
@@JustinJeske Of course haha I think we're on the same wave
Great breakdown and great detective work!
What shoes is John Wearing? I heard the tone was in the shoes and it MATTERS which brand he wears when he's turning the pedals on and off....
Very interesting thanks for the video it was great, new sub here
Thank you!! 🙏🏻
great research! interesting 👀
Thanks Mick!!
Which strap is John using in the photo please?
Dimarzio Clip Lock!
@@JustinJeske Thank You!
Mystery pedal could be a wampler tumnus pedal, it seems like it.
Small one has side jacks, larger one has top jacks but too many knobs! So not that!
“No I don’t speak Japanese” hahahahaha awesome video man!
Thanks man!! 😂🙏🏻
Hahaha love the Kapital shirt, I have the same damn one 😍
It’s awesome, a bit too small for me though 😅
I miss the frusciante videos but this is good stuff
I'll probably do some JF content once the Album comes out!
Plumes, Earthquaker?
lmao wonderful intro dude 😂
I’m glad some people appreciate my humour 😂🙏🏻

Why black out the chorus? Like we can’t figure out he’s using chorus on an 80s yacht rock record? Lol
Well it’s the same one he has been using since 2019 so it isn’t new for this record!
6:18 "Further Analyzation" could be a great title for the 4th, half-as$ed sequel of a pr0n-trilogy. 🤓
