To turn it on, press the green power button on the bottom right of the panel.
the light will then turn on next to operation.
Below this there is 'tank full and defrost'.
The tank full light will turn on when the tank is ready to be emptied,
and the defrost light will show when frost builds on the Evaporator coils.
The number on the screen indicates your current humidity level. To set the humidity level that you want to reach,
use the up and down arrows. The dehumidifier will stop once your room reaches this level.
There are 4 modes to choose from. high, low, air purifier and smart.
With the high mode the fan works harder to reach your desired humidity level.
With the low mode, the fan is quieter but takes longer to reach your set humidity level.
In the aIR Purifier mode, only the fan will run and water is not extracted.
With the smart mode, the fan speed will be adjusted automatically and will aim to reach a humidity level of 50-55%.
The humidity indicator light button will allow you to turn on or off the light on the front of the dehumidifier.
There are 3 colours that can be displayed depending on the humidity levels in the room.
Red indicates high humidity above 70% ,orange is comfortable between 60 and 70% and green is Dry below 60%.
As you can see my humidifier is currently showing a red light which means the humidity level is above 70%.
There are 3 oscillation settings : 90 degrees, 45 degrees, or the swing setting. The swing setting can be used when drying washing.
You can also set a timer so that you can delay the powering on or off of your dehumidifier.
For example if I want the dehumidifier to start in 3 hours time, while the dehumidifier is powered off,
press the timer function then use the up and down arrows to select number 3.
This means that in 3 hours time the dehumidifier will start automatically.
You can also set the timer function while the dehumidifier is running to set a delayed power off.
The UV button is an air purifier function that can help destroy germs and bacteria and improve air quality.
This smart dehumidifier can also be controlled by the Tuya smart app.
The app is really useful as you can set a repetitive schedule to turn on or off your machine.

Now let's look at the back of the dehumidifier.
To empty the water tank, open the back cover and pull out the tank carefully. Remove the cap and pour out the water.
I usually find the tank is full on my dehumidifier when it has been running between 12 & 24 hours in a room with high humidity levels.

Very good explanation. I've had mine for 15 months now and it has proved to be very efficient - really surprising how much water it extracts. However, the tank does not hold 4 litres as specified in the adverts, or indeed as stated on a plate on the back of the unit. Well, the tank may hold that when completely full, but the unit shuts off with anything between 2.8 and 3 litres in it, so the 4 litre capacity is pointless. I bought this model specifically because of the (alleged) bigger tank, so this was most disappointing. And sadly after 15 months the louvres have packed up. I noticed the other day that they were at 45° when set to 90°, and virtually closed when set to 45°. I followed the troubleshooting guide and gently moved them with the unit off, now they don't work at all. Now it appears my only option is to return the unit to the service centre. Very disappointing when my last (DeLonghi) unit lasted 7 or 8 years without fault.
Mine will turn off automatically using the app schedule at the time i specify but will not turn on automatically at the time I specify ? Do you have any idea why not please ?

Has anyone got this working with IFTTT? I can't find a single review for any dehumidifier working with IFTTT. I found a video about the BG smart socket but if I can find one, I'd like devices that can be controlled so I can keep the device powered and, in this instance, stop the humidity from getting too high, and then when electricty is cheaper - reduce the humidity further to reduce the cost overall
Just a remark on this explanation. Green doesn’t mean dry, it means a healthy level of humidity as a healthy level is 50 to 55%. Levels above 60% are unhealthy for indoor spaces
Which means in those circumstances the clothes are dry
Any of the settings can be used. We normally use the swing option.
In mine it keep showing red light destroy, and is not going away I wanna know why and what happened? 🤷♀️🤷♀️
I have a 3 bedroom, 2 storey, house. Is this the right size of dehumidifier or should I be looking for a more powerful one?
To cover the whole house you will need more than one device i believe
My one worked fine for a few months but now it starts up but not sucking in any water despite the room being damp!

My electriQ (same model as shown in the video) is blowing cold air instead of hot air. Any suggestions please?
I don't think it should blow hot air. Is it not collecting water at all?
Did you do a video on step by step connection to Wi-Fi as I’m really struggling to connect mine. Not sure which button on the machine is the Wi-Fi button.

Can you set the timer so the dehumidifier only turns on at night for a few hours?
Yes you can using the tuya app
For some reason I can't remove the filter and it needs a clean to stop the coils freezing. It's just completely jammed and if I apply any more force I'm afraid it's going to break. Anyone else had trouble removing the filter?
Try and use a hover to suck the dust while the filter is inside.
I just got mine three days ago and notice a loud cracking noise coming from it when it changes mode and while it’s on. Is that normal?
I don't get any cracking noise on mine. Worth checking with the company.

My dehumidifier indicates the tank full indicator is always on red even there is no water in the collection tank.
Please advise how to get this fixed and make it start please
I haven't faced this so i don't really know. Try to clean the tank and maybe clean the area where the water comes out of the dehumidifier into the tank.
I have a slightly newer model of this. Should I be running the HEPA filter and the Carbon filter together, or one or the other independently? Thanks.

@@QuickTipsTo Thanks. I found out is HEPA filter for air purifier function, and carbon filter for dehumidifier, and you can only run one or the other, not both at the same time.

Yes it helps reduce the humidity in the bathroom.
Do u maybe know how to fix an issue when it doesn't leave the defrost mode? Where are the sensors I should clean? Or any other advice
I haven't faced this issue. Have you tried to put it in a room with a higher temperature?
@@QuickTipsTo all of our rooms are the same. A d it's usually by the heater. It is disappointing since I love the dehumidifier and it has been running over a year with no issues. The water still collects in the tank but it just won't leave defrost mode nd doesn't tell me the humidity levels
It might just be a faulty sensor. I wouldn't worry too much as long as it's collecting water.
We have living room and kitchen downstairs and 2 bedroom upstairs, where will it be best placed for the machine to keep it on?
You need to keep it where you have the high condensation. We keep moving ours to be honest.

I have the CD12P model and regardless of how low humidity I set it, the light is always green! Even in a small room with an airer of wet washing, it still has a green light! Surely it should be red under these conditions?
What's the actual humidity in the room? Do you know?
No idea - sorry. It must be high because of the wet washing hanging up in a small heated room!

I followed your instructions but it doesn't give me any option to run more then an hour .so each time when I click on it it shows only 01 hour. Doesn't give me more than an hour option each time when I press it.

After pressing the timer if you use the up and down arrows this should increase or reduce the hours. There should be a green light showing the air purifier is working when you turn it on.

I'm sorry mate I think problem is its not the timing it's about humidy level.
If the humidity doesn't exists then the machine just stops

Mine came today with a rubber hose but I don't know what to do with the hose. Do I need to connect this to the water tank somehow?
I believe you can use this if you have a way to discharge the water like in the Washing machine

Yes this is normal if the air in the room is already cold.

The pipe is used in case you want the water to discharge through the pipe instead of it filling the tank.
@@QuickTipsTo yeah, I want that! But not sure if it forces water through or just releases water. If it just releases the water you’d need to have a tank underneath the dehumidifier and the dehumidifier raised up I’d guess. Keen to know before ordering an external tank

Hi, im so confused. I have similar dehumidifier, the same brand. With smart mode , when humidity is 50 is turning off but it doesn’t turn back on when is 60. Is it normal ?
Yes this happens to us. When humidity is low we don't bother turning on because it turns off straight away.

Can you use essential oils with this dehumidifier if so how?
No you can't. This device removes water from the air. You normally use essential oils with devices that put water into the air (Humidifiers).
Is this dehumidifier taking out cold air or hot or u can regulate it? My delonghi 10l dehumidifier once it runs making room as well warmer. In winter its quite good option.
It doesn't change the air temperature. It only removes the water from the air.

Keeps cutting out well known fault if you look online... No good if it keeps knocking itself off is it...

The ideal level of humidity for a home in the UK is between 40% and 60%.

This dehumidifier may not work well if the temperature in the garage is cold in the garage below 12 degree.

It will blow the same air temperature in your room. Although i feel it's a bit. Warmer some times. It can't be used for heating
No it doesn't. I have this machine and it never blows colder air than the air temperature in the room. If it blows cold air then the room should drop in temperature but this is not the case.

The tank has a cap on top where you can drain the water

Yes this should be possible. You will probably need to reset the settings from the dehumidifier. Look for the steps in the manual.

If your dehumidifier is not collecting water and the humidity level is high (Above 70%) then this can be a problem. If the humidity level is low then this can be normal but you should still collect some water.
