I can attest to this from seeing it in various offices and being on the receiving end of this type of behavior.....say nothing to your colleagues about life outside of work.....
I've had co-workers who only talk about their personal life, and nothing else. One was a real hypochondriac about every health issue. When she wasn't bemoaning her migraines, she was bragging about her house, her husband, her kids, her salary, her vacations, her new car, her connections, etc. etc. Then she would spread rumors in the workplace. I was so happy when she retired and moved out of state.
People just suck. I lived with my supervisor for like a year. We had no issues. I left owing her a couple hundred bucks and paid it a couple weeks later. To this day we are friends and I greatly appreciated her opening her home to me, why can’t people just have common decency.
Co workers are just that co workers. Not friends or family unless they can prove that their parents are siblings of my parents. Sometimes that doesn't count. Lol
Right she need to be ashamed of herself she took advantage of her she working and broke need to go find the children father for money not her supervisor!
People always say “I never had a problem with paying the money back”. You wouldn’t be here if you didn’t have a problem with paying, you would’ve just paid it back if you had no problem lol 🤷🏾♂️
???? Really??? what if they're good actors??? I wouldn't lend ANYONE money that I just met or someone that was under me at a work place. If you can't get a loan on your OWN to fix/buy a car then you need to take a look at yourself and ask yourself why you're in the pickle you're in. I have ALWAYS put money aside for that ultimate rainy day because it always arrives and money is always needed.
I like how the defendant was like " you look like a fool" at the end, trying to save face... but honestly, the defendant made a fool of herself. She seems like an opportunist who thought a friendship with the plaintiff would get her favors of getting out of the parts of her job she doesn't like to do.
Right?! She started talking about "She gave all these other people these easy jobs and I was stuck cleaning?" as if being friends with a supervisor means you get the easy gigs.
This is exactly why you should never lend any money to anyone. Never befriend your co workers keep boundaries at all times don't discuss your business personal or financial period. Let them go out get their own.
I had a friend for many years. We loaned each other money on many occasions and NEVER had any problems. She joined religion and slowly distant herself from me which was OK. I am not a religious person, just a person that lives by the Golden Rule, and I don't judge others. I cannot tell you what Jesus is going to do because I do not know.
Exactly, and some coworkers are lowkey pocket watching you to see what you money you are making compared to them and are sizing you up to perhaps take advantage of you or simply sh*t on you somehow. Learned my lesson long ago. I trust no one there. I work, get my money and leave.
As a supervisor, she shouldn’t have ever loaned out the money. The defendant is just mad that she has to pay the money back. Lawd, this keeps getting juicier. The plaintiff was dating her son. This is just messy.

Yep, I remember when I worked at a daycare and my coworker’s car broke down and her and her young daughter had to take the bus to and from work. Me and the coworker were cool, we hung out etc so I didn’t see anything wrong with dropping her and her daughter off after work (she gave gas money). I lived 3 mins away from the job, she lived 20mins away. I got off at 3:30, she got off at 5. I would take her baby with me when I got off so she could finish working. This was the routine for about 2 months, until I ended up quitting the job after my boss wrote me up for taking an extra day off after my mom graduated from college (they wouldn’t give me a raise or a vacation in the 3 years I worked there, NEVER took a day off). After I quit, I still offered to drop her and her daughter off. She stopped talking to me instead. I’ll never be that nice again.

The plaintiff used the worst judgment ever. Most companies caution managers of that type of behavior. Working for the federal government outlines very strict policies on your employee/management relations. Even then, people still get into trouble. The defendant was a trifling old, bitter woman. I found in my career, some older people have a hard time listening to younger managers, even if they are qualified. Now that I am the older woman in my office, I act as a mentor rather than a combatant with my younger coworkers regardless of title. It is not easy, but the rewards have outweighed the mishaps. It also helps to have a good reputation from jump so that your integrity can never be called into question.
I met my best friends at work, and we're coming up on 11 years of friendship in 2023. So it's not unheard-of, and you can build lasting friendships. You gotta pick the right people. The defendant is just a user. Gotta have eyes wide open

I cannot help but wonder what the defendant thought would happen when she ran to HR? She had to have known she would have to spill it on herself, there was no way around implicating herself. I am with JM, a good lesson in why fraternizing in the workplace is frowned upon.
Defendant: “she too old to date my son” aren’t you too old to be taken advantage of her money and fame in her character on national TV of things that doesn’t have anything to do with the loan
Dear Ms. White, What did you do for the Plaintiff? I mean, she gave you rides, loaned you $2500 for a car, another $100 to fix it & gave your son $100 to encourage him in school. She sounds like a horrible person!! What did you do for her , to help her when she needed it? Who else was there to give you rides to work , lend you money , encourage your sons? If she’s a fool , it’s only because she wasted so much on an ungrateful woman.
Do not loan money to anyone on the job, not even a penny. For you all see the pettiness of the Defendant, when she is loaned money, and is needing to pay back, she went running and making up stories about her supervisor. Never be friends with your supervisor that way. Money makes people crazy when they have to pay it all back. And defendant did not like the fact that Plaintiff was dating her son. The defendant has issues, talking about her problems at home and about the loan and running to HR to brag about her issues that she cannot deal with. Bum
I learned my lesson having "friends" at work & won't ever make that mistake again. I don't even have coworkers as "friends" in social media. If someone from work friend requests me I just leave them hanging in the requests list 😆
You know, I was a manager of two bookstores. I worked my hardest to treat people ethically. I fired a few people, some it broke my heart to do so but I had to. On there other hand I am still close friends with a few employees years after the stores closed. This is much a refection of who they are as the person i worked hard to be.
I got in trouble for giving one of my teen employees a ride. Our city busses don't run late and the job was in a rural area. He was sleeping in the breakroom. They had day positions available & he asked for one upon hire due to transportation but his family needed the money, idc about a write up. A ride is being just kindness.

Yes! Hell, I don't even have Friends anymore. Drama-free & jealous-free (I know that's not a word lol).
Lol girl she had an attitude because she didn’t get her money back! And you should be more professional.
I don’t believe that the plaintiff did anything the defendant accused her of except help her ungrateful ass. Her job was hanging on by thread, so she tried to get the plaintiff fired to take the heat off of her.

You make a good point. She was awful this poor girl tried to help someone much older than her and got nothing in return but a big ass ungrateful heifer.
Never loan a co-worker money for they never want to pay back, since they do that to their own family members.
At the end, there was a winner and a fool. Justice served. 👍🏻
Lol.. no no no she doesn’t look like the fool lady!!! You do!! Carrying on like that🤥… trying to make HER look bad for loaning you money for a car when you were in need!!! Wow!!! Some people🤔. The judge saw right through your non-sense, tryna make her look bad to HR… come in now?!?!?!
I can't believe people who borrow then try to get out of paying back a loan that someone gave them out of kindness. Vile and ungrateful!
I love how Douglas is taking notes!
The defendant is too old to act like this. I bet that's a messy place to work.
Dear Ms. White,
What did you do for the Plaintiff? I mean, she gave you rides, loaned you $2500 for a car, another $100 to fix it & gave your son $100 to encourage him in school.
She sounds like a horrible person!!
What did you do for her , to help her when she needed it?
Who else was there to give you rides to work , lend you money , encourage your sons?
If she’s a fool , it’s only because she wasted so much on an ungrateful woman.
Plaintiff must be a Virgo. She had her ducks in a row but it was her reaction towards the defendant at the end that did it for me. Lol
The Defendant is a GOD AWFUL LIAR, if you gon lie then at least try to be good at it. She's someone who you DON'T ever want around you.
I agree her energy Stinks
Good morning all. Even in 2022, people still have not learned about (not lending) money.
This is what keeps the courts full and judges rich.
I’m laughing at the bailiffs face when the defendant brought up her dating her son 😂😂😂
The defendant wasn't going to pay no more money.... defendant is a USER
I don't think I'd want to work with Diana Ross she enjoys drama
For real. Messy-Messy.
BE CAREFUL demons MASQUERADE AS FRIENDS TOO ! THAT defendant is wicked. TRUST GOD FOR YOUR FRIENDS AND HELPERS !
The defendant is a typical user. SHAME
I love when the judge's accent comes out! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
How convenient for the defendant to air out all the business , like just fall out and keep it pushing, no need to air out ppl business smh
Coworkers are not your friends.
You know, I was a manager of two bookstores. I worked my hardest to treat people ethically. I fired a few people, some it broke my heart to do so but I had to. On there other hand I am still close friends with a few employees years after the stores closed. This is much a refection of who they are as the person i worked hard to be.
You can tell the kind of person the defendant is from the beginning.
I got in trouble for giving one of my teen employees a ride. Our city busses don't run late and the job was in a rural area. He was sleeping in the breakroom. They had day positions available & he asked for one upon hire due to transportation but his family needed the money, idc about a write up. A ride is being just kindness.
She said she wanted it for clout! But it's her money she sounds crazy
This is why coworkers should never be friends outside of work.
🤦🏾♀️ this is why I prefer working from home. I’ve dated men that worked for the same company it was a mess. All of the women at the job that he dated before me caused a huge problem even though no one knew it was me he was dating. Rumors began to be spread and we ended up no longer dating. We are still somewhat friends today. But I will never do that again
Shame this woman after all she did for her
WOW! Defendant showed her true colors fast lol...so sad.
What does her attitude have to do with paying her back !?
