- The plaintiff hired the defendant to create a costume for him for a runway contest. However, the defendant failed to deliver, so the plaintiff is suing for a refund. The defendant defends himself and claims he made two amazing jackets for the plaintiff, so he denies owing.

Defendant's a liar. He never made the outfit and spent the plaintiff's money.
He had pics of it.. I think he just didn’t get it done completely or he gave it to Roman who blew it off
I don’t think he made it either, because if he was driving when he sent the pic, when did he actually TAKE the pic with people in the background, and why would he just happen to have e a pic of the jacket on his phone…taken out in public…with other people? He could’ve gotten that pic from anywhere. Lying arse. 🙄

This is a huge problem that drag performers have with designers & seamstresses. We pay the price that’s quoted to us for an outfit and they drag ass getting the job done. I’ve had 3 outfits done by 3 different designers and each one gave me some kind of issue. One actually gave my outfit to someone else for a competition and I never got the outfit. Then they got mad cause I took them to court and had the person wearing my costume as a witness. Now I only pay 1/4 of what they ask so they have enough to buy the materials and I have to be included in the making. I have it written into a contract now to protect myself.

@@16MedicRN no the plaintiff isn’t a drag queen or a drag performer. He was getting something made for what’s called Ballroom. If you watch the series Pose & Legendary it shows you more of what’s involved. Drag is an art where ballroom is a competition. You have categories like serving face, butch queen, vogueing, dance, hand gestures, the total look. That’s what he was doing. I will say though the plaintiff is cute and could definitely do male or female drag if he wanted to.

A definite cut off date must be given on a written contract and not : TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE but an actual month, day & year. If the designer defaults state the refund policy as well.

plaintiff should have sued for his entry/attendance fee for the show as well. while he may have attended, this was obviously a big part of the event for them.
the defendant lied. alot. take a look at their body language and the amount of laughing they do. and this isn't a new thing for the defendant. they're comfortable with it - they try to cast off an air of being fun and casual so that they can put people at ease and try to get the other person 'cool' with them. (and its clear they're doign this with the judge - hes not unique - lots of people have done this on peoples court)
