- This mini-lecture is a continuation of the IPv4 Basic Subnettting mini-lecture.
After performing a quick review of the basic concepts, the student is presented with a real world subnetting example.
At the end of this mini-lecture, the student is able to calculate the network id, usable host IP range and broadcast address for each new network and assign them to a network topology.
Amazing, these 20 minute lectures are far more informative than any 2 hour lecture on Networking I've been to. Thanks very much Yvan.
Quite impressing and also the trick is a very useful one to find the Distance between each Subnet.
Thanks Yvan Perron for the awesome tutorial.
Thanks Yvan for this helpful tutorial. Everything is well explain. Thumbs up:_)
awesomeeee merciiiiiiiii shoukran
thanks lot easier to understand
many thanks for the clear illustration.
yes mate u helped me understand this a lot!
Thank you so much for the video, it was really helpful....
Thnaks.....
Why didn't you use a /30 address for the R1-R2 link? Is it correct? May I also use a /23 address for subnet 3 and subnet 1? ( 2^5 hosts > 30 > 15) Tank you :)
You are perfectly correct. But the reason I did not use /30 or /23 is because the tutorial's objective is to first demonstrate fixed size subnet subnetting.
Once fixed size subnetting is understood, then we move to VLSM which is what you are recommending.
Good recommendation!
perfect video :)
What do you mean by pluz?. it is plus not pluz.
