Hi Ali, I haven't touched my soldering in about 10 years!!!! Thanks for saying I made it look easy. It's all about having the right supplies. If I can help you get started, let me know!
I just tried soldering for the first time. The edges turned out a little rough. Is there something to do to prevent this , or what should I smooth it out with?

What kind of jump rings will soder to your pendent ?
hi Sandra, I have been using silver but I would try other metals, I'm sure they would work. I make my own rings most of the time. Thanks for watching!

Hi there- what are you using for your surface that can handle the solder sitting on it? Thanks so much in advance for your time!😉
That is a teflon craft mat, or you can buy one from Bed Bath and Beyond that you stick in the oven.
Hi new subby these are so cool. Hugs deb
Hi Deb, new subbie, thanks so much for joining me!
How thick is your glass?
microscope glass, about 1mm
Is it necessary to work on a particular surface when you solder?
Yes, something that you can't set on fire.
what type of glass are you using for that?
microscope slides....
Can you reccomend a good soldering wand? I am struggling.
Weller, and sorry I missed your comment. But the real trick is to have a control box, they are called Soldering Iron Controls. mine is Max 400W 120VAC
