Just because you watch Bill Making Stuff, does not mean you are Bill Making Stuff.
Watch me transform a pile of junk into a Victorian era industrial machine. This took my time and thought than I initially expected but it
was a blast! It's my first scratch build from trash but it won't be my last. I have collected a large range of garbage for future builds.
I painted it by hand using simple techniques and acrylic paint.
Thanks to Studson Studio and Bill Making Stuff for the inspiration.
I have been toiling away learning how to film and edit videos for UA-cam. I have lots of projects planned ranging from abandoned miniatures to furniture and Dollhouse Miniatures in multiple scales. I also have a large Harry Potter build planned for 1" scale.
Please Like, Comment & Subscribe to support my efforts & so you don't miss out on future videos.
    Thank you,
    Shyra

i love the "sidewalk trash" - i don't know how many times I've spotted something, walked on and then circled round to go back and pick up the item while trying to look as though i'd realised that i'd dropped something valuable! for people who might be a bit squeamish about picking things off the street, offices and other work places are great as well - lots of bits of things drop down behind drawers of filing cabinets!

It really is awesome. I feel sorry for people that don't have a artist mind. Artist see what could be not what it is. I remember my mother getting angry with me because I was sooooooo mesmerized by a rusted bit of metal. I was maybe 4 or 5 but I remember the texture. It was so rusty in some places it reminded me of heavy sand paper my dad had in his tool box. Bits of red and orange green in places. Think it had copper and iron in it. I wondered what it had been before I saw it

It's not like the sidewalk trash just catches my eye: I literally walk around looking at the ground hoping to find treasures. People probably think I'm looking for coins but I'm just looking for garbage 😆
Studson Studio loves using those earring backs as door knobs (although he works in 28 mm scale).
Thank you! I've been becoming more and more comfortable with editing the longer I do it. I'm self-taught and I've only been editing for 6 months. The learning curve was steep but I'm getting the hang of it.
It's never as easy as the video shows 😉 I spent a lot of time hemming and hawing which is why I eventually set a timer to get myself moving. Then I decided to just go for it. Worst case scenario, trash becomes actual garbage. I wasn't even sure I liked it before the primer. Then I knew I was onto something.

This is really amazing! I'm so glad I found your channel. I'm making a "robot" for a mad scientist so this was really timely. I think the weird brown resin piece is a draughts/checkers playing piece? I already hoard trash so this video has been particularly inspiring!

If you already hoard trash, you have a great head start! That mad scientist thing sounds cool. Bentley House Minis used beads and other random junk to make a robot in one of her prompt videos. That may give you more ideas.

This is so cool! I‘m definitely going to challenge myself to such a build soon! What kind of primer do you use though?

I actually didn't use a primer. I used a cheap black spray paint I had in my garage. It's holding up really well.
