Thank you for the inspiration! Your videos are one of the main reasons I started making scratch built terrain models, mostly made out of old broken toys.
I'm not gonna lie, I was not sold on this build until that paint went on. I can't believe how good these looked by the end. Terrain bashing from junk is such an acquired skill, the few times I've tried to make stuff like this I got about 30% in and just couldn't see the shape beyond the junk. I really admire the ability of you youtube creatives to really look past the stuff and see the form as it develops!
I like your ideas fir making terrain out of things that would be thrown away. It was kind of funny, when you said "Now this next part, this is a good one" it went to a commercial.
1) Gorilla heavy wood glue works instead of the PVA/baking soda/sand mix. Has actual wood pulp already mixed in. 2) The modularity of the stackable CD terrain pieces is heckin brilliant. 3) your Necromunda green is fantastic.
I've been toying with the idea of making a 4×4ft necromunda terrain table that goes up 3ft high. Using 5 pillars (pvc pipe in 4 corners then the middle) and attaching walkways and buildings all around the pillars. Trying to go for the underhive vibe while trying to also make it portable lol
Dang! Watching the build I was thinking, that's looking quite grim- then undercoat, base colors, drybrush: Dynamite! The pieces are no longer grim, they are GrimDark! Too great!
SBackle looks like a great product. It already comes pre-scraped down the sides of the jar to eliminate the edge goop from drying out too fast. Much improved over generic spackle.
This is honestly really amazing to me. You took nothing and turned it into something that looks like it belongs to a expensive miniature set or something.
I'm baffled by your ingenuity! You see shapes and forms in the tiniest pieces of trash and modifies them to an unrecognizable state for your terrain. Creativity knows no limit
The little jab at NFT's made me laugh, and these are some genuinely nice objects you made. You're closely paying attention to volume and shuffling up recognizable features to obscure their origins. Good inspiration!
Great work. I love the look of decayed clueless heavy engineering. Those 'pressable indicator blobs' on coffee cup lids can be useful for detailing too.
Throughout almost every one of your videos I have major doubts and many mini panics that its going to look terrible, but every time your builds look fantastic in the end. One day I'll learn, right?
I love this! It just randomly appeared in my recommended, and while I don't build terrain, this was more than enough entertainment and laughs for the entire 15 minutes it ran. The fastest subscribe yet
40k terrain is very forgiving when it comes to scratch building from trash...you can really use anything and it will look great in the end. Great build man. I love it and the commentary is always funny too 😅👍👍
2:45 That brought back a repressed memory of me rasping the back of my thumb 😬 That's a fantastic set of scatter terrain. The stacked shots at the end look really cool.
Another use for those coffee cup tops I just discovered: If you cut out pieces of plastic from them, and put them on a wood cutting board then poke a dental pick or nail into them, when you flip it over the other side of the plastic will have bulged out so that it makes a little raised rivet. You can make a lot of sheet metal bits quickly this way. Try it, you'll be amazed at how easy it is. Great for ork builds I bet.
Fuckin' art attack over here! Inspiring shit. Making terrain out of junk really takes me back. Hell, I've got glue and a bunch of bullshit lying around. I think it's time to get crafty.
Greatest necromunda terrain i have seen. How do you cram so much detail into so small spaces!? Subbed and good luck with future videos. Would like to see a kill team board filled with this style of terrain!
I literally stumbled over this video today (disclaimer - not really, I mean figuratively) and as much as I enjoyed the tongue in cheek commentary, this is a masterclass in trash-bashing. You just got yourself a new subscriber, young fella!
A Scratch built Tyrranid Hive Tyrant would probably be among the coolest thing I've seen in a while, but then again your channel is always putting out stuff that is the coolest things I've seen in a while! Nice Job!
You get a like for the commentary alone. The content, itself, is worthy of a like as well. :) Thank you for showing us how to turn trash into terrain. I have wondered about how to leverage those disposable plastic storage cups (2.5oz, etc) and you demonstrated great uses for them. I also found the integration of the hair bungees and similar materials to create the cables very clever.
These came out awesome! The only thing that would make this build better is a beauty shot at the end with some gangers on it. Eric's Hobby Workshack...nice
Okay, I bought a set of stencils using your discount code. Happy now? (But seriously, loved the video. Reminds me that I have a lot of terrain building to do, and a lot of materials just taking up space with which to build it.)
4:11 LOL....i want ad block but tabletop games have all my money. Thanks for reminding me that I have a kitchen FULL of terrain (maniacal laughter echoes through the house).

What do you mean by the bottom of the barrel?
I like your kit bashing JKW
When can i move into my Workshack
ya eh bud giver (soon)
11:51 "It's the 90's and we need caution stripes!"
XD
That goes straight to my favourite quotes file!

My unintentional goal seems to be "looks bad before paint" 😂
Same here Kelimar!
YES. Old school. Doesn't get any better than that.
I enjoyed the mention of your special Wyloch Paper ^_^
Dope skills
'Wylock paper' made me chuckle.
DAMMMMMMMMMNNNNNNN!!!!! I loveeeee this! The NecroMacho Entertainment Podcast sent me your way and I’m thankful! This is so cool!!!!!
I like your ideas fir making terrain out of things that would be thrown away. It was kind of funny, when you said "Now this next part, this is a good one" it went to a commercial.
😲
“Wylock paper” haha. Love it. I subscribed.
this is literally the best channel i have ever come across and i don’t even build stuff not only are the builds next level but your funny as hell dude
Oh HELL YES on that gothic arch.
For super-tall elf-looking(?) arches use nasty black plastic coat hangers with a flat front.
I thought so too.
Love the Tim's coffee lid! Great work.
Oh man Wyloch paper and and Eric’s hobby shack had me rolling 😂
i love listening to the sarcastic commentary while watching you work. Its like entertainemt within the entertainment.
😊

Make sure you can lift away elements for storage and playability. Sounds sick, share it once its done!
This looks ace. And STURDY. I approve and will steal.
Dang! Watching the build I was thinking, that's looking quite grim- then undercoat, base colors, drybrush: Dynamite! The pieces are no longer grim, they are GrimDark! Too great!
I wasn't too hopeful when the dental floss container was glued down but I am genuinely impressed.
Floss is important in more than one regard.
SBackle looks like a great product. It already comes pre-scraped down the sides of the jar to eliminate the edge goop from drying out too fast. Much improved over generic spackle.
"Lightly Hydrated"
it is 2 in the morning and i read "edge" as "edible"
Anime sword SHINNNNGGG! sound fx = instant sub
I learned that adding salt to your magic kitchen dust will kill bacteria and make it last longer. This is Great!
Now that is interesting
wow.... just, wow. Such a great vid! Loving the effects too!
Legitimately impressive, genuinely funny.
Old CD's make perfect base plates. They are very light and don't bend like cardboard would do
The cathedral entrance is amazing
the way you bash trash is, among many other things, a masterclass in greebles and their effectiveness
passable? PASSABLE!!! This is amazing dude!
"Eric's Hobby Shack" - HILARIOUS!!!
Man you really made great looking terrain with stuff we all throw away ll the time that is really really awesome !!
A master class in trash bashing. Bravo!
"Eric's hobby work shack" got me good XD
That Eric's Hobby Workshop joke cracked me up good lol.
he needs to live somewhere
This is honestly really amazing to me. You took nothing and turned it into something that looks like it belongs to a expensive miniature set or something.
brilliant. Made me think of the Mako Reactors from FF7
"I take this 'Wylock' paper..."
"I build this shanty shack for Eric to live in."
Loving the references ;)
I'm baffled by your ingenuity! You see shapes and forms in the tiniest pieces of trash and modifies them to an unrecognizable state for your terrain.
Creativity knows no limit
thank you kindly
It's kinda crazy how it looks like a pile of random junk, then you prime it and it looks instantly cohesive and great.
the erics hobby work shack, hahaha nice job !
The little jab at NFT's made me laugh, and these are some genuinely nice objects you made. You're closely paying attention to volume and shuffling up recognizable features to obscure their origins. Good inspiration!
They sell 'rivets' as something called Diamond Dots in Hobby Lobby ... over 2,000 for $2 USD.
No need to cut random stuff apart :)
I boycotted hobby lobby when they refused to exist in Canada
If ever there was a style called 'trust the process' it's this
I'm so glad I have a dog, because now I have access to the little cardboard cylinders you get when finishing poop-bags.
Nice work, the level of extras makes the final product really work
You make magic from garbage. The recycling hero we all need.
Great work. I love the look of decayed clueless heavy engineering.
Those 'pressable indicator blobs' on coffee cup lids can be useful for detailing too.
Yeah! Those are slightly less common now as more and more brands go to a latte style lid/opening (starbucks style)
@@ScratchBashing They're still hanging on in smaller chains here in the UK, SB, but I think history isn't on their side! All best.
you really do use ALL the junk... that's why I love your videos.
did you notice that studson narrated this episode?
@@ScratchBashing thought it was Knarb
@@BillMakingStuff I thought it was Bill
Throughout almost every one of your videos I have major doubts and many mini panics that its going to look terrible, but every time your builds look fantastic in the end. One day I'll learn, right?
I'll make a bad one soon!
I love this! It just randomly appeared in my recommended, and while I don't build terrain, this was more than enough entertainment and laughs for the entire 15 minutes it ran. The fastest subscribe yet
Glad you enjoyed, and welcome!
This is the best channel on UA-cam, period.
Absolute genius level scratch-building. 100% far and above the expensive store bought terrain.
Awesome work!
The round shapes, desaturated green and spilling cables really give off this 90s sci-fi/cyberpunk anime aesthetic.
Those gun reloading and shooting sounds around 6:50 were hilarious. Genuinely laughed
reload the pistolet colle
This video re-kindled my love for crafting! Yes, It tickled my Jimmies..
Now, Off to Build!!
These came out amazing! There's something so satisfying about scratch built terrain
This is brilliant! I'm watching it again!
I love how the idea of the video is how to make cool stuff out of cheap materials.
But I'm just absolutely stunned by your creativity
40k terrain is very forgiving when it comes to scratch building from trash...you can really use anything and it will look great in the end. Great build man. I love it and the commentary is always funny too 😅👍👍
2:45 That brought back a repressed memory of me rasping the back of my thumb 😬
That's a fantastic set of scatter terrain. The stacked shots at the end look really cool.
I am fearful of the rasp
Only patrons have seen the exclusive pics of the one using all of those poopy bag cardboard tubes.
Wait so it's not just him?
This reminds me of an old forum called Terragenesis, where members made all kinds of stuff like this.
Awesome! I love it, Eric! I feel as if I'm watching a mad architect hard at work designing some post-apocalyptic future!
Right on!
This was a fantastic build. Could absolutely do so many variations of this to create a whole table of unique trash
That's the idea! (If I ever get to it lol)
Another use for those coffee cup tops I just discovered: If you cut out pieces of plastic from them, and put them on a wood cutting board then poke a dental pick or nail into them, when you flip it over the other side of the plastic will have bulged out so that it makes a little raised rivet. another cool use for bad bits!
I call this style “kit-trash”
And it’s FUN.
Good work bro :]
Those stencils with the sponge, absolutely stunning.
I feel like this is your best video yet. Love your work!
Glad you think so!
Seriously awesome build, and the well placed shoutouts were fantastic. ✌️😁
The quality of this video is off the charts
This guy could place the Ayers Rock into the Grand Canyon and fill up the gaps.
Uluru
Splackle
Please do not use the false colonisation name for uluru. Its grossly offensive and is no longer recognized as being correct.
Looks better than the current GW terrain kits.
Great job!
"Wylock paper" Ha!

I've never seen so much random junk turned into terrain. This is honestly amazing. Glad I stumbled onto your channel!
I love the references to other craft channels. Good stuff!
I've discovered your channel with the Pod Racer Challenge, and now im fan of your work !
welcome and thank you

Looks great!
A Scratch built Tyrranid Hive Tyrant would probably be among the coolest thing I've seen in a while, but then again your channel is always putting out stuff that is the coolest things I've seen in a while! Nice Job!
I am working up to Tyranids..
Good job! I love how these turned out! I was a bit if-e about it like half way in but you pulled it together and those stencils are awesome!!
I think the stencils help to hide the pop cans (bad, bad pop cans)
This was absolutely brilliant.
You get a like for the commentary alone. The content, itself, is worthy of a like as well. :) Thank you for showing us how to turn trash into terrain. incredible result! well edited and good narrating, great job man
Awesome build mate. Love all the name drops hahaha
Epic! Cheap! Humorous! A triple threat!👍👍🤩
These came out awesome! The only thing that would make this build better is a beauty shot at the end with some gangers on it. Eric's Hobby Workshack...nice
I still haven't built my gang. I do so little actual model building lol
@@ScratchBashing you’ll have to hire some mercs then!
BTW the tip of using the odd shaped die cut flaps and edges of cardboard packaging is truly inspired
You should trade for a couple figures for scale!
Always a delight to see you build
We need a rivets making tutorial !
Real NecrOldMunda vibes. Corrugated coffee cups truly are a terrain treasure trove.
God I fucking love your work. I miss DA ORKY STUFFS but these are so good!
orks soon, always soon
@@ScratchBashing WAAAAAAAAGH!!!!!

Okay, I bought a set of stencils using your discount code. Happy now?
(But seriously, loved the video. Reminds me that I have a lot of terrain building to do, and a lot of materials just taking up space with which to build it.)
Enjoy! They are a great way to hide cursed materials like pop cans
This is awesome! Your paint skills are improving, in my opinion, and your parts-bashing skills are absolutely top tier. Stellar work, my friend!
4:11 LOL....i want ad block but tabletop games have all my money. Thanks for reminding me that I have a kitchen FULL of terrain (maniacal laughter echoes through the house).
uBlock Origin is free.
This has been saved to my 40k terrain and paint list.
Praise the Emperor and this wise man!
Nice video recognise all the parts, even here in the UK. Cheers
Amazing build, as usual. I dig the way you used the pop cans and CDs to your advantage.
I’ll never stop being amazed at how a bunch of random crap can look so good
