    Energy drainer: entertaining guests. I just can't anymore. I'll meet you outside, not in my house.
    Energy giver: decluttering, organizing.. strangely enough, it makes me feel clearer in thought and hope for tomorrow. In addition to a little Bible time.

      AH I love that! The weather is lovely anyways, lets just meet outside. I will pull up my chairs in the shade, but I agree hosting can take it's toll in certain seasons. And yes it feels so good to get the stuff out of there. Thanks for sharing, I can relate!

    I was praying to God this morning for help and so exhausted. I'm 9 weeks pregnant with a 14 month old. Not long after begging God for rest and to carry me today and help me do everything I started to feel a warmth spreading in me and up my spine, like a hug. Then this video came up in my feed. I just had some electrolytes and I'm already starting to feel better. Going to go put on shoes and a bra next 😂 God is so good and He led me to your tips! God bless you thank you so much 😭 🤗

      I’ve been trying to do this for the last couple months, working on dinner prep during the baby’s naps, etc., and it makes the evening run so much smoother! Having dinner earlier helps too, it gives my husband and I some down time after the babies are in bed/sleeping.

      I used to do it and it is a game changer. I forgot about it even when you’re working outside the home you can get up just a little bit earlier and do some of it. It will at least help you figure out what dinner is gonna be way before dinner time instead of like she said, trying to get it done in the late night when you’re tired or exhausted I am a single mom so I know that feeling gonna try it tomorrow and see how it goes

    I am here to say, this video is an energy giver. Thank you for including God in this video too as His influence is most important. The triple threat is real and made me smile to hear it. I had just gotten into watching a few videos on "easy" meal prep for moms and felt so defeated because so many videos on youtube around groceries and food are professional and actually require a lot of money, time, and preparation. Your video has turned my day around. May God bless you!

    I prayed for God to Help me with wife-ing & mama-ing. He just had you & another mama grace my home page!!!
    I'm always the one helping others. To hear "It's ok to be needy sometimes." helped me so much!!!
    I give that grace to others, but when it comes to myself I haven't been even SLIGHTLY gracious with that!
    I'm usually like "Girl get over it & keep pushing! No one else needs help. So figure it out!".
    WOW!!! I guess I didn't realize until typing that just how "grace-less" I AM with myself!!! 😮
    GLORY TO GOD!!!!! THANK YOU FOR THIS VIDEO!!!!!

      Ah this makes my day! So glad the Lord brought you across the channel and that it was a help to you! That is the goal, so I am thrilled 🩷 And yes I am hard on myself too, but so good to know that while Jesus wants our best, He already lived the perfect life in our place, so that is a relief to me when I feel like a failure. He sees us and knows all that we are doing and working through. Being a mama isn't easy, but I know it helps us grow more like Christ through all the wonderful, but challenging moments. Sending love your way and for more moments you can just be kind to yourself when you are giving it your all!

    Something that has been a game changer for me and freeing up my mornings and nights is having an empty/emptyish dishwasher and sink first thing in the morning. I’ve worked out if I turn on the dishwasher BEFORE dinner (instead of after dinner) it means I unpack it after dinner before packing it and washing up. This means an empty dishwasher in the morning. Having to unpack the dishwasher in the morning really weighs me down, this way I’m able to spend less time in the kitchen and more slow time with my kids while they eat breakfast and get ready for the day which makes for a calmer morning for all.
    I meal plan and prep what I can on Sundays - I do Sunday-Wednesday dinners and my husband does easier Thursday-Saturday dinners. Having 3 nights off thinking or cooking dinner has been really nice. Some weeks I’ll still cook on ‘his’ nights if sickness or if a busier week.

    • @89misspigy
      @89misspigy Місяць тому

      *meal planning and prepping meals on Sundays hugely frees up the thinking, cooking and CLEANUP during the week when we are all the most tired. I figure, I can spend 3 hours cooking and washing up every night or I can be more efficient and spend 6 hours or less on one day a week on Sunday and meal prep/meal plan.

    My tip would be, although it may seem counterintuitive, get off a reliance to caffeine if you're able. I've never been a hardcore caffeine drinker, but I do love that I can get up in the morning and how awake I am does not depend on whether I have a cup of coffee or not. I still drink coffee because I love it but just decaf. ❤

    As a muslim onething that really gives a boost of motivation is to pray the payer of the time.. whatever time is it, pray the relavant prayer ( we pray 5 times a day)and then start doing every thing, making prayer your first priority automatically manages everything... when you put your trust in the ONE Who actually made time and pray before doing anything else ... He helps you manage everything effortlessly

    I thought it was normal to cook dinner after breakfast because my family does it until I met lots of others who don’t 😅 they cook right before dinner is served. For me, the stress of having it all done in time for dinner is too much!! You are right, do everything by portion if you aren’t able to complete the entire task. Thank you for such uplifting words! ❤

      Smart family! And yes maybe bc so many of us grew up away from the home where home was just a docking station to recharge and then we were out the door again, but if we are home all day, what a gift to just get it going early.

    Just found this channel. I’m a mom of 5 as well. My oldest is 8 and my youngest is 10months. I’m also a military spouse so I’m alone with the kids a lot for varying times. So being both my and dad is wild sometimes and I get so overwhelmed. Then I freeze and just do NOTHING! I noticed you are reading Habit of The Household. I’m really loving this book. I’m in a ladies study with other Army wives and that’s the book we are going through! Such a great book for busy mamas ❤

      Yes the wisdom he shares in that book is so good, especially the chapter on discipline. That chapter rocked me and honestly made me get down on my knees. I have done it wrong so many times, but trying to learn and grow. And wow I am always in awe of military wives, so grateful for the sacrifices you have made personally for all of us to continue to enjoy the freedoms we have. Thank you! And also, the grit that military wives must have to grow is amazing. Praying that God will encourage you and continue to send a tribe of women around you to support you so you never feel alone in what you carry for your family. So much grace! Glad you found the channel and I hope it will continue to be a helpful nudge for you on your mama journey!

    Hey there, new sub. I'm pregnant almost due with baby 5. Oldest is also 10. I have ME/CFS and most days that's how I survive. 10 minute timers, morning/evening routines, getting dressed and taking mini breaks often. Being outside is so life giving, but now that the weather is getting colder, it is harder and making me down. Thank you for #7.

    • @kimbitner
      @kimbitner Місяць тому +1

      @@girlteachme That's sweet of you to ask! I think it's so important to remember who you're doing this all for. We might think that caring for our homes and our children is for our husband and kids because at face value, that's who we are practically serving with the things that we do. But it's ultimately all for Jesus. He is the one who calls us to motherhood and homemaking, and all of our service is really unto Him. This really helps me keep the right perspective, especially when I can get down on myself for not measuring up to some random standard I have created based on what I see others doing (IRL or online). Assessing what God is calling me to do helps me to let go of the things he's NOT calling me to. He knows we are finite, and all of this is only done with the strength he supplies. So we work hard...and we rest hard in Christ.

      @@kimbitner Love this so much Kim! Thank you for sharing your wisdom and I wholeheartedly agree! I love hearing from mom's further down the way in raising their kids, so much hard-earned wisdom and valuable perspective. So thank you for sharing!

    Hi! I've just found your channel.
    I am an autistic mom of 3 children 9 (also autistic), 4 and 17mo.
    I used to struggle so, so much with energy. My toddler is a really bad sleeper and my last 2 pregnancies took it out of me.
    I transitioned to a carnivore diet 6 months ago, and honestly I would not be able to do what I do every day with so little sleep if I was eating grains and veg like I was...
    (PS: I never wear shoes 😂 not even when I go out anywhere. Farmgirl here lol).
    The dinner after breakfast thing is a game-changer for me! We have farm chores in the evening and when those are done I'm out of energy to cook! If I get dinner going early, I feel so much better and more relaxed in the evenings.
