You don't buy the base model to get the ultimate off roader. You get the base model because you want to build the ultimate off-roader. With that said, tires ALWAYS make the big difference. That is why the Sasquatch package comes with 35" mud rated tires.
Totally true Aaron. The base model is the canvas! That said, a lot of folks arent aware of that, and as a result I wanted to make this so folks know that just because you buy the Bronco doesn't mean it is perfect in the winter.
Just got a production date for my Base! Waited 2 years! My understanding of the all-season tires is that Ford put those on just so the Bronco wasn't rolling on bare rims, with the assumption the buyer would almost certainly change out tires and rims as soon as they got it home from the dealer.
HUZZAH! Congratulations George, what color did you get? That could be the case, but it seems a bit unrealistic to think that the majority of folks that buy a car would just instantly change the tires. Regardless of price. Sadly, on the base, it is a must!
Great Video! Really showcases how tires make all the difference even in an "offroad" or "all-terrain" vehicle that people would generally consider to be good in the snow. Not that it's bad in the snow but just goes to show how important it is to have good rubber. Love it
I had same exact tires Dueler HT's on my brand new 4runner. Went 2 winters of awful performance and they got swapped out with only 30K miles on them, Replaced with snow rated Yokohama Geolander AT's.
Apparently you don't know how to drive in the snow. All season tires are a balanced blend of performance for all the different weather conditions. Just use the 4wd if you have a heavy foot and can't get by with rear wheel drive.
I know how to drive just fine. Which is why I was able to get around. I’m just noting the performance of the stock rubber, but thanks for the definition.
I had Bridgestone Duellers on my Honda Element and they were great in the snow. Not sure if they were the same model as your tires? But, I was mad that they stopped making the size I needed for my car. They were the best tires I've had. I wasn't expecting them to be very good in the snow since they were the low rolling resistance tires. But, I was pleasantly surprised. I lived in Iowa at the time and had plenty of snow in the Winter.
I checked the DUELER H/T 685 - 255/70R16 on tirerack. The ratings 8.6 for wet and 8.3 for winter/snow. Not sure if these tires are the same or not. Where are you getting the screen capture of the tire ratings? Great video though!
I have a 23 big bend the tires are great, I also live in the northeast Massachusetts to be exact my concern is the cheap ass windshield wipers I’m definitely changing them out
@@MoneyShift that is correct a good set of general grabber atxs or bf ko2 or dura tracks would be my pick in 245-75-16 for your bronco a little narrower
Spot on, great video. 100% accurate. No matter what equipment you have 4x4/AWD if your tires suck, you are going to slip and slide.
Thank you!

The thing is every model you can build which is very nice, I guess for the exception of the raptor that’s already built to the max

Thanks Niko!
Crazy how important rubber is. 😉

Been looking forward to this video, thanks for sharing!!
Thanks Erelasinglor!
Appreciate your continued support, tons more coming!
I’m thinking to buy this… the snow got bad this yr in Tennessee. You are fun to watch and very educational.
Thanks!!!

Why would I ever drive in anything but 4 x 4 mode in these conditions? Why did you even try?
For science!

Dueler HT 's are the worst tires ever owned by me . I would give them 1 star rating
Hes not comparing these tires to anything. These are the best stock tires for snow.
😂 the first purchase I made after getting my base was to get 33” tires!
Smart!!!!! It is a MUST
So how does that manual bronco feel?
Like a classic with modern tech!

The Dueler A/T RH-S that come on the Big Bend are a massive improvement over the base model fair!
That said, I hear you on the windshield wipers 100%!
So new tires in the near future?
It’s a must!
10 percent grade ice covered hill wasn't a problem . Yes it was a base
Goodyear Dura Trac game changer.
Tires make a WORLD of difference!
I put the GOAT to slippery in the snow.
Same! That said though, the tires are a let down, because the car is plenty capable and should not need it in light snow.
It should have been able to do that in 2wd
Exactly.
These tires hold the car back tremendously
All new vehicles come with crap junk tires a new set of all terrain tires would make a world of difference
I own to Jeep Libertys and switch to snow tires in the winter
It’s truly night and day Corey!

$40k for this and you get shit for features. What a ripoff, you get shitty tires for almost $50k and that's bullshit. I hate FORD
This cost 31,000 before destination
