- LOUIE IS BACK! 6 WEEKS LATER! He gets his second adjustment. This time Dr. Doug Willen, Animal Chiropractor spends more time on Louie's shoulder! Louie hasn't been able to stand in more months than anyone can count. His volunteers work 7 days per week with Louie: feeding him, physical therapy, medical treatments, etc.
Dr. Doug Willen is a small piece of the Louie comeback program. Watch what happens in this emotional gut wrenching session!
Get ready to fall in love with Louie in this emotional packed chiropractic session. Louie the pig is almost 3 years old and is in excruciating, severe chronic pain. Dr. Doug gives Louie a pain relieving chiropractic adjustment. His jaw, back, neck and his shoulder.

Louie is morbidly obese. He was scheduled to be euthanized and Todd, the owner of Arthur's Acres Animal Farm and Pig Rescue saved him. Todd has been nursing Louis back to health. Louie has already lost close to 85 lbs, but has such a long, long way to go. He is in constant pain.
Louie's previous owners kept him illegally inside their home for 2 1/2 years. He was never allowed outside the dining room.
He is also morbidly obese due to them (most likely) feeding him improper food and not allowing him the chance to exercise outside.
He has "mechanical" blindness, due to excessive fat that extends his brow over his eyes. After years of zero light being able to penetrate the folds of fat and reach his eyes, the receptors turned off and now he is blind.
He was brought in for a hoof trim, and the vet called Todd the owner of the Pig Rescue and asked him to step in and rescue Louis. The Vet didn't think he'd survive his conditions much longer.
Luckily he is with Todd and all the other pigs at Arthur's Acres Animal Sanctuary now and hopefully it isn't too late to turn things around and let him live the long life he deserves.

An update on Louie. Arthur's Acres has bios on each of their rescues, and on Louie's they noted that he sadly passed away on July 20th, 2021. The abuse he had suffered prior was too much for him to recover from, but in his last few months he was at least well cared for and made as comfortable as possible.

Im so sad that Louie didn't make it. I was really hoping for a stunning transformation. Poor guy, condolences to the volunteers that worked so hard to help him heal.
Just hearing Louie being and feeling at peace... It's so heartening. Still terribly sad seeing him in this state, suffering so much. I so admire Todd and the extensive team doing all that they can to give Louie some semblance of comfort. I so hope we get to see him being able to stand and walk some day.

Good question! Yes. He is on a very strict diet and is steadily losing weight. He has a long way to go, but they are committed to doing the best that they can.

A few years ago a pig was roaming around the neighborhood and was almost hit by several people. My son and I asked around within a 5 mile radius
If she belonged to anyone. No luck . Also posted her on several platforms. I ended up taking care of her for 3 years but not really set up for it. I finally found her a forever home. I had never raised a pig
so a lot to learn . I did figure out not to over feed her. I appreciate Arthur's Acres

As someone who is chronically been ill dealing with back issues, fibromyalgia, spinal stenosis, spondylosis, degenerative disc disease peripheral neuritis etc...I completely agree with what Louie was expressing in Pig Latin!! Sadly Louie died 2 years ago. 6 months after this video. His liver couldn't keep up. 😢
