The streets of Paraty flood during high tide on purpose. The Portuguese designed it like that so the water would automatically clean the streets from time to time.
And in my opinion Ouro Preto is the most beautiful colonial town in Brazil, not Paraty.
Thanks! I'm googling and seeing that I had also marked Ouro Preto as a must-visit, but didn't make it this time. Someone must have recommended it to me. Interesting about Paraty
Pirinópolis and City of goiás in Goiás state are also great cities
Yes it's normal to kayak on the streets of Paraty. The streets were made intentionally to be flooded during the rainy season .. so the streets could be washed and stay always clean. 🙂
That's very cool. I learned it only later
You need to visit Ouro Preto, it is not just a fantastic city, it has a such big history, about slavery, and how “Brazil” started.
Thank you for the recommendation! It sounds like an interesting place for me
Nice! If you liked Parati, you should visit Ouro Preto (colonial city). Campos do Jordão and Gramado are too quite good.
Thank you! Everyone recommends Ouro Preto. Next time I want to visit
Paraty is quite charming and well preserved, but to say it is the most beautiful and preserved one is a far fetched statement. I love Paraty, though
that's what they say, haha. And that's why I put it in the title, and you commented :) Thanks! I want to return to Brazil
Beautiful Brazil 🇧🇷
Nice video, cool that you walk around in the city by subway, walking and things like that. Paraty is a beautiful historical city. Another good tip for beaches in the state of Rio de Janeiro is Arraial do Cabo and Búzios.
Thanks for the tips. We had saved this place but didn’t get to go there at the end. We always try to walk, take public transport etc - in Brazil and Mexico, Pakistan and India and so on
You could have got out of the subway in Central station, and then took the VLT to Praia Formosa, it would let you in front of the bus station, doing it you wouldn’t had to walk more than 1km
Oh, okay. Thank you for information!
Have you ever visited a coty called Ouro Preto, in Minas Gerais State?
Its very colonial too! Lots of baroc art! You'd enjoy it!
It's one of the places I want to visit next time in Brazil. This time we were very cautious :D Everyone was telling us that we are crazy coming to Brazil
@@MakeAdventureHappen People think Brazil is Rio. Favelas. Not all cities are dangerous in Brazil. Happy you came to Brazil, although worries about security. Some big cities in Brazil you just have to take care like other big cities in the world. If you visit the small town Ouro Preto (Unesco herritage, the first one in Brazil) you should visit Belo Horizonte and Inhotin (a day there). All of them are nearby, they are very different from Rio. People say the best Brazilian food is from that state (Minas Gerais) and people are very friendly there.
@@nadirmachadogoncalves7066 thank you for tips! It seems strange now, but, yes, we were worried, because people tell crazy things about Brazil - I even took my old my camera with me, because I thought it will definitely be stolen, and I thought we will always have to leave our phones in hotel :D
@@MakeAdventureHappen I really understand your caution.
There are places in Brazil that are necessary, others not. In general, good to have caution. Anyway...as a tourist I had the same caution in some big cities in Europe and Buenos Aires, specially in poor parts of the cities. And in some parts of some Brazilian cities. People in Brazil always tell to be careful, not that means it will happen. We listen a lot about that caution as a tourist in Peru.
The second time in the same places you will feel more comfortable. I have never been robbed in Brazil or abroad. Have a nice time in Brazil! Good luck! Have fun!
beatiful!
Thanks!
In my opinion, the most beautiful colonial city is Ouro Preto in Minas Gerais. But Paraty is also very beautiful!
Thank you! Now we want to visit also Ouro Preto. Everyone recommends it
❤
Welcome to Brazil!
Thank you!
Paraty in Rio de Janeiro is a beautiful city
Absolutely!
Ouro Preto is the most beautiful city in Brazil.
Thanks!
Bacana seu vídeo
Obrigada!
He caught the wrong transportation to go to bus station to Paraty (it happens)
oh, okay
Gramado is the most beautiful city in Brazil
Thanks! I'll take a look
Wow, as a Brazilian I never knew we had historical places like this.
You have a very big country with a lot of beautiful places, haha. I think it's okay that you don't know something
Isso é sério? Nem Ouro Prero, nem Mariana, nem Salvador, nem Olinda? Nunca ouviu falar deles? Hahahah
@@Caligo92 Quero ir para Ouro Preto, Mariana, Salvador. Nunca tinha ouvido falar de Olinda
@@MakeAdventureHappen go to the historic colonial cities in Minas Gerais state. Also, they have some of the best food in Brazil.
@@MakeAdventureHappen tem várias cidades históricas no Brasil. Petrópolis, Tiradentes, Mariana, São João del Rei, Bananal, Alcântara, São Cristóvão...
