Travel vlogs. City walks. Hiking vlogs. With a focus on normal places, normal everyday life, and normal sights. Our goal is to show you the world as we see it. Because travel isn't only about tourist attractions. There is more to the world than majority of travel bloggers on UA-cam show you.
Welcome to our UA-cam travel channel!
ABOUT US:
Hi, it's Kaspars and Una here. We are digital nomads and long-term travelers from Latvia who spend 6+ months a year abroad. In 2013 we tried long-term travel, fell in love with it and had to find a way to support it. We are mountain-beach-city kind of people. One day we can be living in Seoul or Taipei, then walking around the markets of Cairo or Karachi, and then hiking in Nepal or living in a small town in Thailand. Because we just love all of that.
Traveling extensively since 2013.
Filming travel vlogs since December 2021.
We don't travel to film.
We film because we travel.
Enjoy!

Seoul Is Cheap (2024 Prices) 🇰🇷
Переглядів 12214 днів тому
In this Seoul travel vlog, I'm talking about and showing prices in Seoul in 2024. I noticed this already in 2023 - Seoul isn't expensive. Seoul is cheap if you take into account the quality of everything (transportation, food, hotels) - all of it is better value for the money than in much less developed countries. /// OUR RECOMMENDATIONS (apps we use, hotels, etc.): makeadventurehappen.com/best...

I lived on soi 10 for a few years, down at Centre Point, nice location, a small Korea town around there. When finished with that terminal 21 card you can get a refund of any money left on it at the cashier.
I was very surprised about the Korea Town - I didn’t know it’s there, even though I’m often in Bangkok
Yes - it’s a good thing you can get a refund
If you ever visit again they have a fireworks show every Saturday
I want to do it another winter/spring. Okinawa is cool. Thanks!
Double fun 🤩
🖤
👍
where are you guys from???
From Latvia
very good samarkand!
Thanks 👍
Liela pludmale izskatās. Un labi, ka es tur negāju, jo man būtu līdz kaklam tas ūdens
hahah - ļoti gara pludmale. Es esmu gājis arī pretējā virzienā.
I recently watched some of your videos and I really appreciate how unfiltered you guys are. Your videos are amazing <3 I hope you visit Sri Lanka again. There are lots of other amazing places to see. Also try renting a tuk-tuk and driving yourselves. it's a better way to experience the wildlife and find lovely places along the way
Thanks a lot for the tips and comment :) It makes things easier to just be you :)
Enjoying your Hua Hin videos 👍🏻 If you walk past the gym you went to, about 100mtrs and cross the railway you reach Baan Khun Por which is a giant food court open every night from about 5.30pm. They have Thai bands playing from about 7/7.30 as well
thanks for the tip! :) I will be coming back to Hua Hin
Thank you for visiting and showing my hometown, Termez.
My pleasure! :)
Taizemē tiešām daudzi runā angliski. Pēc Korejas un Japānas. 😁
Tagad varam labāk to novērtēt
@@MakeAdventureHappen taisnība!
Es domāju, ka man patiktu Hua Hin. 🌴
turklāt, tur ir vēl labākas un smukākas vietas - šis tikai parastas ielas :)
What are the names of the trails?
Dos Irmaos and Pedro agave? Maybe. I don’t remember. You can probably see that in the video
Market Village is a really nice mall. Typical mall, has everything you need. The top floor is kind of like an electronics market, and the lower level is like a small market. They have a Lotus supermarket inside for groceries and a Yamazaki bakery, which is amazing.
Yes! Now, I know - was going for lunch or dinner there 10+ times 😀 great clean and nice food court, some good cafes, not too busy
very good video and good explanation!
Thank you 👍👍
I have been to Bucheon twice in 2022 and 2023 to attend the Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival (aka BIFAN). Your video brought back those memories :)
Cool! I like it in Bucheon - went back this year too :)
I've been to Thailand many times and only now discovered Hua Hin. Such a great, quiet place to relax.
I 100% agree with you. I’m returning soon 👍👍
Seoul is more expensive than Tokyo if you want good food and accommodation. Eating mostly Korean beef and the like, I spend $10k a month there.
It is. Also in my experience. Most tourist’s don’t do like you do I believe, most don’t go on 1 month holidays
@@MakeAdventureHappen True. It makes more sense to me though. Lots of visas abroad are 1 month, and you can negotiate for much better deals on hotels and stays for 1 month rather than by the day. And you can't really learn much about the culture just seeing some sights for a few days.
Kas tā par staciju? 😆
Hui zin. Varbūt neviens nekad tur nebrauc ar vilcienu 😂😂😂 pāri grāvim kāpu, lai izietu ārā
@@MakeAdventureHappen nē, es par to Bangkokas kruto 😀

Not in Thailand 😀 we travel together 90% of the time not all the time
Lawson Taizemē, oho

thanks!
Welcome to korea~~^^* and Have a good time and good luck~!! *^^*

Seoul is cheap?? Are you kidding me??
Yes. No.
very nice videos. you reming me alot of me traveling. always on the move to not miss anything :D

Thanks for the video. Maybe it is worth making a more detailed video about the pros and cons of Japan later. Still, I have 3 questions so far: 1. How about the language barrier? I understand that locals mostly do not speak English or do so reluctantly (so I have heard about it). 2. Japan is known as a very expensive country. Is it possible to stay in Japan on a low budget while still experiencing the best places and adventures? 3. How about food in Japan (taking into account the language barrier)? Is it possible to find food to suit everyone's taste (I do NOT mean pizzas and burgers)? Or is the food very different and unique? Or is it better to stick to buying groceries and making something to eat? Greetings from Latvia!
Thanks! I or we might do something more in-depth on Japan, answering more questions. 1. It's ok. The people are smart and welcoming, so if you have a phone with internet and Google Translate, you'll be fine. 2. In short, it's affordable. Here are Tokyo prices (and this is the most expensive city) - ua-cam.com/video/tJPNNx77oi8/v-deo.htmlsi=gTL6hQzUiMiMrS4O Transportation can be expensive, 50, 100, 150 euro for a fast train ride, but hey it's the same prices we paid in France like 10 years ago :) 3. Japan is one of the easiest countries for food. For Latvians 100%. What they eat mostly is noodles and rice. They like raw fish also. If you don't like these things, there are 100+ options to buy from convenience stores - meals for under 5 euro (cheaper than in Riga, and definitely better quality). Something like 6/10 japanese eat at these shops that are everywhere. Buying groceries and cooking is the MOST EXPENSIVE option. You can buy a good meal for 3 euro, but you can't cook it this cheap.
Heyyy can you tell me how I can get the tickets bust from Tashkent to kuhjand?
buy in Tashkent bus station
Regarding the numbers in 6:01 it is called Indian numbers. The numbers used in west are called Arabic numbers 😂❤. However, I'm happy that you visit and enjoyed traveling in Saudi Arabia. Wish you all the best 👍🏻
Interesting! I like learning new things 😀

What a coincidence I just watched Gabriel’s vlog on Kuwait a few minutes ago, and Kuwait seemed pretty boring, until I saw this video and what you stated was absolutely correct 💯
Yes, it all depends from the person, their experience before, their experience in the country etc
Damn, accommodation is so expensive down there. It sounds more expensive than Sapporo when we were there last summer.
it was expensive, more expensive than in Tokyo. It must have been due to something, only I don't know what. At the same time, they say that hotels in Japan are at their most expensive since 1990, because of over-tourism
Kuwait is very nice, but very hot in summer.
100% 😀 i like hot weather but in summer it’s too hot even for me
hi bro and sis .. if you come again to Malaysia .. visit Sabah .. beaches and mountain nature.. and also if you like a rural area .. the people/ the food are nice ..
Thanks! That’s what we are interested about - we have never went there
You need to wear a good pair of shoes. I did almost 20km of walking everyday when I was in Tokyo and Osaka.
I have Adidas shower slippers, doing also mountain hikes in these :D And Converse sneakers
Excellent
Thanks 🙏

Es neteiktu, ka lēti. Kaut gan tas viss ir ļoti subjektīvi.
Ņujorkā, Londonā, Oslo, … nevar ieiet jebkur un paēst pa 5-10€, atrast modernu viesnīcu pēdējā brīdī centrāli pa 60€, aiziet uz bezmaksas tualeti jebkur, izbraukt ar metro pa 1€, … Manā pieredzē nevar. Varbūt es nezinu tās pilsētas pietiekami, varbūt tagad var 2024. g
@@MakeAdventureHappen Ja salīdzinām ar šīm galvaspilsētām, tad, protams, piekrītu.
Yen is cheapest in something like 34 or so years.
Good for us with euro. And hotel prices are the highest in 30 or so years, as I read. Because of over tourism. But very reasonable still, also for last minute bookings
The city of Riyadh becomes different and new every year. There is a very large project called Diriyah Gate, which is the largest cultural project in the world, opening in 2027. There are also many projects. There is also the Riyadh Sports Path project. You can walk in one direction and reach every tourist place by walking.
It’s nice that the city is improving 👍👍
